Hi all,
I tried searching for an answer to this, but couldn't seem to find anything. My problem is, all of a sudden (that I've noticed) some objects in game like the outdoor black BBQ and potted palm with blue base have turned transparent as if they were faded due to a close up, but I'm viewing them from a zoomed out view. I also have issues with some clothing meshes (maxis) appearing with small black triangular gaps on the top. My graphics driver is updated and I haven't changed any settings to my knowledge but I was wondering if this was just the result of a changeble graphics setting gone ary (also could be unsupported graphics card, if so any suggestions)? Gameplay is fine on all settings on high.

Hope this was the right place to ask! If not please direct me!
Thanks

The last person who had this issue managed to fix it by chacking the ATI settings. You need to make sure that the graphic effects are set to 'Application Controlled', wherever the option exists. Try this first, as it seemed to work for someone else.

Thanks for the advice, but I had a look in my Catalyst Control Center and all the options that I can see are already set on application control (antialiasing, anisotropic filtering), yet I'm still experiencing the same problem. The black triangles don't bother me overly much, but I would like to fix the transparent objects if I can. I can't even figure out why its those objects in particular that are effected as it's not like they're high-poly or custom content.

I know that you say you have updated the drivers, but it's worth checking again as well as trying some older drivers. Apart from changing the drivers and checking the graphics settings, there isn't much else to try. You could play around with in-game settings, try some lower settings, disabling anti-aliasing, etc., even disabling shaders. Also try cutting and pasting your Documents\ EA Games\ The Sims 2\ Config folder to the desktop so that the game generates a fresh one, to see what that does.
