Okay, my last adult sims was on her way to work when I was remined the dumb alien baby needed a babysitter. So I call the nanny wait for it and try to head off to work an hour late. My car just sat there in they driveway with me in it from 10 am to 4 am. I finally got out of the car and it said I had returned home from work (although I never left).

Well my second and most infuriationg part is that my sims daughter was out to school in her car. She never came home. 2 sim days later she tries to come home but I get a blue box message saying something like: "sim trying to come home but there is no driveway."

Problem is there 'is' a driveway but the car I was stuck in is just sitting there. Its in the garage but I can't select it to drive or anything else, so I believe its frozen. Furthermore I can't delete the car or the driveway because my buy and build modes are still gray like I'm leaving out of the driveway still!!! I've tried leaving the lot and going to another one and buy and build worked there then came back to my problem house and it was the same way. :cry: Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any help or advice is appreciated.

Please can you let me know what EPs you have? Your profile just states the basegame. Please update your profile to show your EPs.

This was probably originally caused by a hack... can you reproduce it on other lots?

To fix this lot, I suggest:
* Use the InSimenator to re-enable Buy & Build
* move_objects on, delete the car, delete the driveway
* Rebuy the driveway

I was going to say the same, but using the FFS Lotdebugger. You'd have to reenable buy mode by using dormspecifictoolsdisabled false. Or, you could just try using the testing cheats to force error> delete the stuck car. This may fix things too. You may have to teleport the daughter back if she doesn't arrive on her own. Also forcing an error on all offworld would likely make her reappear, car too.

Thanks guys I used the dormspecific cheat and everythings just fine now. Next time I'll just have to miss work! Don't want that happening again.

This shouldn't happen at all, so I'm guessing something glitched on your lot. Try saving the game just before your sims go to work and testing it again. If it breaks you can exit without saving, and we can look at fixing the problem.
