[Mac User] University/Nightlife "brawl"

I had University installed on my computer when I added Nightlife today. I installed it the same way I had installed University (I have an Intel-based Macbook), and nothing went wrong. When I went to start the game for the first time, it told me that I had uninstalled University...which I hadn't. What's the deal? I've installed the most current patch for Nightlife, so I'm not quite sure what the deal is. Any help would be most appreciated :)

Try reinstalling both EPs. You may need to patch again.

Are you sure you have the most recent patch? The stand-alone patch isn't the most recent one, you need the Combo patch. Worse, there is a Combo patch that is only a week or two older than the newest one. It has the same name, too. You need to check the actual file creation date of your Combo patch. If it's late November 2007 and not early December 2007 it's the bad one. I know from sad experience that patch deletes Uni when you patch NL! The newer one works just fine, though.

It is the December 2007 patch. I downloaded it in July 2008...I'll re-download it just in case and then reinstall (my discs are up at college and I'm still down at home until tomorrow) and let you guys know what happens :)

They both SAY they are the December Combo patch, which I found quite annoying. Where did you d/l it from? If it was the link Aspyr sends you to, it's got to be the latest one. Are you following the installation instructions in the Aspyr Knowledgebase, as far as installation order, stuff packs, and patching??

I've just browsed the entire knowledge base and cannot find the installation instructions. Do you by any chance know where it's listed? I reinstalled everything and Nightlife claims University still has uninstalled :(

EDIT: Okay so I got it fixed! All I did was go open up University again like I was going to install it, but I took the University folder out of its Expansion Packs folder and put it into the one that Nightlife had created on my hard drive. Fixed it right up :)
