Hey guys,

I created a sofa and it looked nice in Wings.
I mapped it with the UVmapper classic.

When I imported the file into simPE, the preview showed part of it and the other half was invisible; it was the same in-game. I don't know what I did wrong but I am new to meshing and when I showed it in the meshing forum they couldn't help me either and directed me to this forum.

I already redid it one time because at first I hadn't mapped it when the cushions were still straight.

Can anybody tell me how I am supposed to fix this?

I'll attach the package, obj and UVmap.

Thanks for your time.

I don´t know where the problem is. In the package the modell has only 1575 polys. When i import your obj file and replace it, it has 2080 polys and works fine.

Maybe you should have to start simpe in expert modus. So you can import more than 1500 polys. When you´re ready with changes in simpe make fix integry before saving.

The mesh you have posted has not been triangulated, which I would guess is the problem. Some 3d applications can cope with meshes made out of squares, or hexagons etc, but TS2 can only use triangles.

I think you use Wings? If so, select the whole object, go into "Faces" mode, right click and select "Tesselate > Triangulate". Then just reimport. Should all be good! :)

Ooops, didn't I?
I thought I had..thank you echo!
I triangulated the cushions because I redid them and then forgot to do the same with the lower part of the sofa. Nobody noticed *lol*

I always run simPE in expert m ode because of this issue so it is just the triangulation missing. I am so glad I don't have to do it over again!

If there's any problem after trying this I'll tell you.
