How do I edit my custom content descriptions?

Hi, everyone. First of all, I have spent about an hour looking for information about how to edit custom content (all over Google and MTS2) and found absolutely nothing useful. Secondly, this site is extremely hard to navigate; is there no direct link to the forums? Someone should fix that!

My question is how do I edit my custom content descriptions? All I want to do is change my objects' catalog descriptions: will I need a separate program for this, or can I simply change the individual file information, or can I do this in-game? If it matters, I am using Mac OSX.

Please help me; it sounds like it should be a fairly easy solution.

I've found that custom content descriptions are altered in a mind-numbing manner if you have SimPE. You've heard this most likely: Download it, run it, open the custom content package file, et cetera ad infinitum! But there is most likely another method -- surprise!! -- I don't know of it!

I recommend contacting a creator/contributor to MTS2, and asking this question in this form: "How do I modify the descriptions of your creations?" I think some would answer you, at least faster than I did (30 minutes to post and edit the first post!)

P.S. : Please inform me if I'm wrong by e-mailing me. It really helps to know when what I'm saying isn't right! ;)

There's no way I know of to do it besides SimPE. SimPE is not terribly hard to do this in - I believe it's edited in the OBJD simply by editing the text in Plugin View. However, SimPE does not run on a Mac unless you have an Intel Mac that can emulate Windows.

Well, I was fiddling with SimPE trying to give the best answer. That's one reason why it took so long to post, I'm also very meticulous and scrupulous when it comes to non-verbal expression, such as writing.

The absolute easiest and simplest way to change CC descriptions is to use Simwardrobe's Sims 2 Categorizer programme (http://www.simwardrobe.com/ - Sims2->Programs). It lets you look at CC game objects (not Bodyshop content, though) and change their description and catalogue placement. Don't forget that you have to run the game once before you can see the object thumbnails.
It was also written for Windows, though.
