Hack to buy clothes over the internet.

Okay so I was doing spring cleaning on my hard drive and I stumbled upon an old project I had started a year or so back. It's a global mod (I think) that was supposed to add an "Order Clothes" option to all the computers, creating the effect of purchasing clothes online. Well obviously I never finished the mod, and now I know why. I'm stuck! I've been stuck in this one spot for years. At one point I had the Pie String option working but after tinkering with it some more, I managed to screw it up even more, so now the pie menu option doesn't even show.

Well anyways, to make a long story short if anyone knows how to:

a. fix the pie string
b. mod the buy clothing BHAV to work with the computer

Please fill free to give it a try.

And don't worry I'll give you all the love and credit you deserve. :p

And if you have to wipe it clean, go ahead! In fact, if you do have to totally start from scratch feel free to upload it as yours (just thank me for the idea).

The .rar file contains two packages:

buyoncomputer.package - containes the cloned object with the added pie menu string.

buyoncomputerBETA.package - contains the above with the modified BHAV.

Computers do not have plugin facility and so are very nonmodular. Attempting to add functionality to the computers tends to be a royal pain in the ass and incompatible with anything else. Making "special" computers to do the same thing is ugly and inelegant. Given that there are plenty of things that can let you change a sim's uniform with far less rigamarole, you may as well just scrap the idea permanently. If the simple option to change a sim's uniform and purchase additional uniforms without having to look at an annoying loading screen is all you need, try the Clothing Tool (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ts2/al/hacks/clothingtool.zip) from More Awesome Than You (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com). "Cloning" an entirely new computer is an absolutely terrible solution.

oh and what exactly is the clothing tool? Like what does it do?

The Clothing tool is a shiny thing that allows you to refit the clothing of any sim you can select on the lot, immediately, with no rigamarole.
