how do i buy stuff from my own shop

One of my sims owns a shop that sells cell phones another one that sells clothes and i was wondering how they can actuallly buy things from their own shop

I'm not sure about this because I don't know what hacks my husband has dowloaded which may be affecting it. But if you have a manager assigned I have been able to click on the display and have the option to purchase an item as well as to restock, set price, etc. (At least for the cellphones, magazine rack, games display, and cologne. Then I discovered "restock as a personal option and stopped clicking displays to restock them.)

Why would you buy stuff from your own shop? The stuff in your shop you are buying yourself you know. To restock the items you are using your own money. So the stuff in the shop IS stuff you bought lol.

Yes, but if you buy them from yourself then you can get them cheaper than if you buy them from another lot. You pay the wholesale price to restock them, so buying from yourself basically means you got it wholesale. It's even better if you built up your discount perks before buying so you can get a major discount on it. But only for something you were going to buy anyway.

But when you buy something from the shop you won't be buying it at wholesale price you will be buying it at whatever you set it for sale as. So unless you give it a very low custom price setting you will still be loosing money, no?

I've wondered that, I have a Sim that runs a Supermarket at a community lot, but ridiousously, at home his fridge runs out of food, so I have to order delivery instead, can't buy from my own business lot.
