Trouble buying clothing

Hi guys im new to the forum and also new to sims 2 as well. While playing the pets expansion pack i went to the store and bought clothes for my child and myself in the game. But when I went home i couldnt find the stuff to change into. They took the simoleons away from me, and I just dont know where the stuff is now. Does anyone know where I can find the clothing? I had the same trouble when it came to buying food, but i eventuall figured it out...but i really cant find the clothing...hellllppp ahah!!!

Click on the dresser and plan outfit for the category you bought clothes for (everyday, formal etc)

I thought I had checked there...but maybe not!!! Is there another place I could look if its not there? Thanks for the help btw!!

okay i found the adult clothing i bought...but i also bought clothing for the child and that is missing. How do I buy clothes for my child? The kid is running around with a rubber ring around his waist...and flippers on...it drives me crazy!!!!!it really has to go!

You need to send the child to the dresser to plan her outfit too... when you purchase clothes at the store you need to make sure you buy for the correct age group and gender.

I thought i had done that..im pretty sure i bought clothing for a child and not a teen...arg...soo confusing...thanks for the help i'm gonna go try and figure this out!! is there anyway to get the money back?
