I would hate it if the season's would be synct, you are grwoing your crops, you go to another lot and play till winter, then return to the first lot and see your crops dead and your sims confused because they could swear it was summer a moment ago. So - thank god they are not synched.

ok but when you go to the city it should be synched

Yep, it should. The outside view of the city that you see before selecting a house to play seems to be attached to the house you last played. When it comes to community lots, I'v always had them be in the same season with the house I'm currently playing. It shouldn't be so that you are playing a house in summer - you got to a community lot and it's winter. Sometimes if I'm playing a house in winter and I go to a community lot, it's winter but it hasen't snowed there and it starts snowing while I'm there.

By 'city' do you mean Downtown? Because Downtown has it's own seasons cycle, so if it has a different cycle to your normal neighborhood, then the seasons wont be syncronised. It's the same for Bluewater Village too, and all the other sub-hoods.

I have to agree that it is annoying. I have a single male sim who was in the winter season at his home. Sent him on vacation to Twikii (sp?) Island. Of course, leaving his house he had to spin into his outwear, then he arrives at vacation (the beach) still dressed in his winter clothes! Had to direct him to the dresser to change back to everyday wear, otherwise he would've walked around Twikii the whole time dressed in his winter coat. Silly!

The individual nbhoods are synced, but the subs arent unless you do it manually.
So if my sim in strangetown wants to go to 88road to nowhere and its spring when she leaves, itll be spring when she arrives.
If she goes downtown and you ahvent changed the seasons itll be something entirely different, and same in vacation nbhoods, bluewater village and universities.

But you will still be in the same day of the same numbered season. If you have a rotation that runs Spring, Summer, Fall, Summer in the main neighborhood, and Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall in the Shopping District, a sim who goes to the shopping district from the main neighborhood on day 5 of Fall will get there on Day 5 of summer and watch it turn to Fall if they stay long enough.
(At least that is how my game works. I have a separate rotation in all the sub-hoods.)

i also hate how when you move people into a new house, it's always summer, no matter what the season was when you moved them out.

I can see where that annoys, but it usually proves advantageous for me, since I am most likely to move a family into a larger home when an infant ages to a toddler. It's so much easier to teach and skill toddlers with the fall bonus + smart milk.

That's because you've put your seasons in an order that has summer first. Would you put winter first, it's always be winter first in a new :D.
Perhaps there's a hack out there for it?

There is always the weather machine....
Or the one that Paladin has.

Under misc objects.
I always use it whenever a sim moves to a different house. It's stupid to move out in winter and arrive in summer. Same when every household in the 'hood is currently in one season (through me playing them all equally) and when I make a new family it starts out at the begining of the cycle. Paladin's vase is one of my must have hacks.

I feel the Seasons are too short, barely anytime in growing successful crops.

i use a hack to make them 20 days long. much more realistic.

Depends on where you live. :)
I've had sim winters where there was no snow, or just a little bit that didn't stay around long. Where I live IRL we get little flurries every year but it only actually sticks once in a while - say once in every 5-10 years.

Yeah but you can change the seasons. You can make it all winter like Narnia (L:DL) or you mix them in any order so if you want them to be in sync you can do that.

If you think about a season being five days, that's basically the same as a season lasting for five whole years. Even so, I much prefer the season length to be 7 to 10 days long and when I remember, I change it accordingly. The trouble is, I have to change it for every season. I love Seasons, but I also find some of the "features" extremely annoying. I also use Paladin's season adjuster to keep Sims that move from one lot to another in sync with the rest of the hood.

What's so silly about that? If it's winter here there might very well be snow and it's going to be cold. If I went to the airport to take off for vacation I'd be wearing my coat. If my vacation destination was tropical, I'd for sure need to take it off when I got there (if not before). That seems realistic to me.
