hostels

anyone think it will be possible to make hostels? id love one for my really broke sims...it be interesting to see them have to share a room with a ton of strangers. do you think it would just be a matter of placeing many hotel doors for the one room? but what im also wonder is i think (maybe the chat) that the prices of hotels/room are based on the furniture in the room so even if i use really crummy beds would the price still be low even if like 10 are in it? anyone have any thoughts?

Well, I heard that the other guests in the hotel will be like uni students and that you won't be able to see them. So, that king of hostel with total strangers won't be doable, I think. But, you can take family and friends on vacation, so I guess you could put all of them up in the same room ( a one room building) and then you'll have your hostel. You're sim willpay for the room, but if you put really cheap furniture and almost no deco, then it will look like a hostel, also financially. Even in real life, it costs a lot more if you pay for a lot of people to stay in a hostel. It would cost a lot more to pay for everyone to stay in their own hotel room.

I don't think its possible, but it would be so cool if it was. Perhaps you can make a hotel with big room, get a sim to invite a bunch of other poor sims, have them check that room and create the image of a hostel.

If you're using crappy beds and furniture, then the room would be a low price since hotel rooms go on price by the grade of furniture in the room. Like a hotel room with a crappy double bed might be about $150 a night but one with a good bed, maybe a mini bar and such would go for $500 and up a night. I think the price would go up because there's more beds in the room which means more people sleeping in it.

your probably right...if i had it my way there would be a price per bed option not room..this way you wouldnt be stuck with such a large fee even in a 10 bed room. ill just have to make do with a very sparse room so i wont have to do a money cheat just so my really broke sims (yea they probably should even be going but hey i dont want them to feel left out =p) can afford the vacation..i wonder if room size goes into account at all? or like shared bathrooms? or if bathrooms even get placed into the total for the room cost because just having a nicer bathtube (as in jacuzzi) will jump a room fee a good 50 bux atleast depending on where you are. hmm.


eta: i forgot to ask when you invite a sim with you is your sim, the one who starte dthe vaction, pying for that other sims room and board? if not the hostle thing coul,d work alittle better youd just have to room with known sims not stargers...or even if the invitee chipped in wouldbt be so bad..any one have a clue? or did they not mention that
