Hey, sorry if this is something that everyone already knows and i'm just too dumb to realize this.. i've searched for an answer but couldn't find it..
my sim is maxed out for tinkering and she was restoring a car.. she got almost done, went to paint it, chose a color (green =D), began painting and painted for a while but then she just stopped, the car is still primer colored and now there are no actions available... i'm really confused, i've tried everything i could think of. i don't have any hacks installed that could be conflicting. please help meeeeee!
thanks

Sorry I don't have any help, but the same thing happened to me. Hopefully someone has an answer. :)

Is it on a driveway? Just this happened to me and I realised that I put it down with move_objects on, on - it needs to be on a driveway to work.

you know, i thought i tried that... but i guess having the extension piece lay sideways in the street doesn't equal a driveway?

Sometimes using move_objects to move it off the driveway and then setting it back normally without the cheat might help, too. I tried that when one of my Sims got stuck and had a hard time getting into this car. I think sometimes the game thinks that there's something in the way when there's not, really.

I've been having the same problem. When boolprop was on it said something about a missing acting. When I checked the log for it, the game thinks the darn car is still in use. John Burb was able to restore one car, but 4 got borked and he couldn't finish. :( And no move_objects wasn't used to place the driveway or it's extension.
Edit: I think I got the problem fixed. I had mortimer (this is a new morty downloaded from MATY) restore a car. Everything went fine with the first car. I then had him make a second car, this time the glitch happened and he couldn't restore it. So I deleted the car, AND the driveway extension it was on. After that he was able to restore car after car with no borkiness. :D

I had a car parked in the back yard and that happened.. moved it to a driveway, and fixed.

I've found, when the car is properly placed on a driveway, if the 'paint' option isn't available, use the 'rev engine' option and then continue with the work. That's worked for me. I think this is one of those glitches that they may or may not fix with a patch. Don't hold your breath..I'm still waiting for some OFB bugs to be fixed. No joy.
