This challenge is aimed towards adult female and/or male sim(s), you are welcomed to use both sims in this challenge, but it comes with a little twist.
Your sims must be a family aspiration for the following reasons.
They are not allowed to work outside their home, the only work they are allowed to do is working from home selling stories, paintings or freestyle singing, if there is another method of earning money from home only, you are welcomed to pick such.
Your adult sim(s) must be raising 6 babies and/or toddlers and/or children or more at one given time (there must not be any sims above a child sim) if you are using the 8 sims or more hack feel free to increase this number.
At no given time are you allowed to hire a nanny, a maid or a gardener or any over the phone help service, all your sims, children included, have to clean up and help around the house.
Children are allowed to go to school and visit friends, its just the parents who have to stay at home, work and clean etc.
Your adult sims can invite friends over, that is okay aswell.
The whole idea of this challenge is that at no given time are your adult sims allowed to leave the lot, they must stay at home and earn their monies, pay their bills and order groceries via the phone etc.
If you are unsuccessful, the challenge will end if the social worker comes over and takes your children away, if you are successful, once your children have reached adolescence (teen), you have completed this challenge :)
Goodluck and happy simming.

Good idea for a challenge. But I have one question. Do I have to play both parents, or could I just be one? And the 8 children, don't you mean 7. Since the parents are going to take up the 8 and 7 spot?
Could I choose, who I want my children to be?
This challenge would be a perfect way for me to see what it's like being a single mother raising a household with children.
p.s. Can I choose the house they live in?
EDIT: Sorry, I see now you said 6 offspring.

Seems like a good idea :)
So I just create a lady and 6 toddlers in CAS and away I go?

FreakAboutSims: You are welcomed to play both or one parent(s), if you have a hack called "8 sims or more hack" you can have as many children as you like on one lot.
You can start with either, babies, toddlers or children :) But if you start at the children phase you are pretty much cutting it straight to the end, so I recommend babies or toddlers for this challenge :)
melanie: Yes, a lady or male and 6 children and away you go :D Like as mentioned though, if you have "8 sims or more hack" you are welcomed to have more sims children in the family :)
I hope this clarifies your question.

If I have time I might start on this :) Basically none of my sims go off the lot anyway, maybe once or twice in there lives for dates, but they own home businesses so that's all good for me :D
Just the lots of toddlers crying and needing bottles and diaper changes will be the worst!

melanie:  I did forget about the home business which of course you are most welcomed to use :)
The bottles I agree can be the worst, this challenge may keep you on your toes :)
In my opinion the challenge doesn't have to stop once the children are teens, they can also go in the same cycle and began the same challenge again :)
Do let me know when the time is available for you how it all goes please, this also applies to everyone too please, feedback is most welcomed.

One last question. Does all six offspring have to be one age group or could I have one child, two babies, two toddlars?
Are you aware that you cannot make babies in Create A Sim or Bodyshop?

FreakAboutSims: Your adult sim(s) must be raising 6 babies and/or toddlers and/or children or more at one given time (there must not be any sims above a child sim) if you are using the 8 sims or more hack feel free to increase this number.
As stated as above freak :) You are allowed to have mixed groups.
The whole point of this challenge is for sims to be either born in game and/or bodyshop and let your family grow, parents can have babies while this challenge is happening, I would prefer however if the family was born in game (except for the parents), but like in CAS you can already have toddlers and children, babies as you know have to be born in game. I am already well aware of this :)

So I don't have to have babies if I do not want too? And I can have 3 toddars and 3 children if I choose too right? Just want to make sure.

I've done something like this only its with one mom and she has to have 10 kids before she turns to elder using insim to impregnate her. Its fun and hard oh and shes not aloud to work outside the house or leave also. My mom calls it the welfare house. Shes had 5 so far and she got a toddler a infant two children and one teen and she pregnant with another on the way.

FreakAboutSims: Yes that is most certainly okay Freak to have 3 toddlers and 3 children :)
Brook_Lynn_Marie: Thankyou for letting me know about your own experience :) This challenge randomly came to mind and I thought, well why not add it to the challenges list :)
It sounds like what your sim experienced was quite a handful lol.

Bit of a risky move if I am right. ;)
If I enter this contest (which I am sure I will be) how can you tell if we are telling the truth?
We could put motherlode and get maids to do our "dirty work" and how would you know?
My apologies if I'm wrong. Hehe :D

ChesireCat16: I did forget to mention, no cheating of any sorts allowed, that includes using money cheats, the only exception cheats to use are as follows.
boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true (false to turn the cheat off)
move_objects on (off to turn it off)
That's it for cheats though, the top one allows you to move furniture in anyway you please and as for the second cheat it allows to move items around and it helps too if your sim gets stuck somewhere.
The contest is based on your own truth and honesty, if you chose to cheat then that is your guilt to live with.
You are most welcomed to place a story based on this challenge on the story forums of S2C.

Okay, ta. :) I might enter. I am a total cheat freak but I hardly ever us ethose so it will be kinda hard. I use boolprop testingcheatsenabled true/false mostly but on that you can have her have ten kids at once (or something like that ;)) and make them age quicker so I won't use that. It'll bw interesting to see if I can. Lol

I love this! I do like to use boolprop snapobjectstogrid false as well so that when you use the 45degreeangle cheat, the furniture isn't part way through the wall. Is that okay? I hardly ever hire a nanny, maid, or gardener; but I do usually get my Sims jobs, so this will be a first to keep them home. I do have OFB, so it shouldn't be too hard to survive with a home business. I'll work on a family and get a story started tomorrow.

Ciane: YAH Ciane! :D I was hoping someone might turn this challenge into a story, thankyou :)
I can't get in game to start a story for my own challenge. I probably do this later on down the track.

The story looks great Ciane, thankyou for sharing :)
Have you considered the thought of posting your story on the story forum of S2C? I believe it will do well.
Your family is super cute btw :)

Posting in the story forum means taking up lots of room on photobucket for all the pictures. On my web, I can load the pictures directly from my computer and don't need to hold them somewhere else.

I can see that, you can always start up a thread by giving out your website link instead :) Some people do it that way.

Just to let you know, I updated my web with some more pages to the Athome family. You can see how the girls look as teens. I gave up on the home businesses and just had everyone paint. Ilena had 9 creativity points by the time she turned into a teen. I think I'll continue to play the family.

Yeah. I added another page today to show the boys as teens. I'll keep playing the family to have all the teens work on some other skills so they can get more scholarships to university.

I tried this challenge today - good fun!
Sadly all my kids were taken away by the social worker, I started with 3 toddlers and 3 kids, but the 3 toddlers had turned into kids. All their grades were awful, hence nosey social worker arriving.
I never actually paid any bills or managed to get my parent sims to earn any money, it was hard enough just watching the kids!

i'm working on this challenge. i began with 6 babies (all girls?!). babies were pretty easy for me, but toddlers stage, OMG. i made it through, just barely. all toddlers grew up into red, and then parents had break downs from kids bot growing up well. but now they are all good because they all roll fishing wants, and be friends wants. so they all stand around the pond and fish, making friends and making money.
parents however wanted to make me go mad, ACR made them go auto whoo hoo a few times, and i was deathly afraid the mom would get pregnant in this nightmare.
