Creature Creator not starting up?

Today, I went to Target and bought the full version of the Spore Creature Creator. Excited, the first thing I did was cut on my computer and install the game. Installing it was successful, so I went to click on the autostart icon...then nothing happened. I tried taking the disc out and putting it back in, nothing happened. I tried clicking on the icon again; still nothing. I even tried restarting and doing both methods above and still nothing came up. My computer just sat there like I'd never clicked on anything. I tried entering the little security code from the back of the Spore booklet again and installing the Ea Download Manager, but absolutely nothing happens. I also turned off all of my antivirus programs that were running in the background. So what's up? Has this happen to anyone else?

I would advise uninstalling EA download manager, I had a similar problem (But with the downloaded version) and that fixed it for me :D

LOL I found out what I was doing wrong. I was going in the wrong section to open up the game. Thanks anyway Spiderchi.

If you have the free version installed on your computer, I do believe you have to uninstall it first before installing the full version. I think it mentions that somewhere in the manual that came with the game.

But ... it looks like you're okay now. :)

It Uninstalls it automaticly.

For future reference, the Spore Creature Creator sometimes has an error with one of its files, and you have to replace it.

OMG I had that problem! Go to the start menu and click on games, and spore should be there. Double click and voila!
