This is the first time I've used her for a legacy, so that's good to know! My little twist that I'm doing with this legacy is to have the founder and his subsequent heirs marry the first Townie (of the opposite sex and of marriageable age) that walks onto the lot. I think it'll make for an interesting Legacy! :) Thanks for the compliment on Nathan too. I made him in Body Shop awhile ago and he's just been sitting in the bin waiting for me to use him.

Spiderchi, Petula is lovely (I love that name too, I'm gonna have to use it sometime) and Joe Carr's makeover is awesome! Hopefully, he'll walk onto the lot for one of my heirs. :)

Yeah, I know! I actually think there are more ugly townies than attractive ones, but I don't mind to much-- I love doing Uglacies too, so it'll be interesting!

After reinstalling my game I started a brand new legacy. I'm doing in Alphabet style (Founder's name starts with A, Next Gen is B and so on). I'm playing it with one kid each generation to avoid "spare syndrome" (IE a bunch of usused spares rotting in my sim bin). So of course my founder had twins *facepalm*

I picked Ajay Loner to be my legacy founder. Ajay married a townie, Tiffany. They had two hideous kids, Jensen and Korbin. I got them married and moved them out to start their own families. I have my own legacy rules, I dont pick heirs :banned:

The Spice Legacy
The founder, Ginger Spice, is in the first picture and her first son, Thyme, is in the second.
They live in Madrid, San Jose on Spice Ranch, an old place she bought and renamed for a meager 18,500 simoleans.
She just had a second son, Basil, whom I didn't try taking a photo of yet.
She's not stopping at Basil, however. She's trying again in hopes of getting a girl.
Her legacy is a matriarch, so she won't stop until she has a girl to carry on the family name. :]

Thanks :) I made my sims "breed" (sounds like i'm talking about animals :lol: ) with sims that had almost the same genetics, but now that I'm up to generation 3, it's going to be more of a challenge. I hope I can get more diversity, but not lose their Asian genes completely.

Anyway, The triplets are so cute! They seem very energetic (which explains why the mom looks so worn out :P )

The family graves up and disappeared last week and the character files related to them got unlinked. Which meant lots of empty spaces where sims should be in the family tree. And it happened again *while* I was playing to a new grave. I have no idea how harmful this kind of thing is but I decided to just be safe and recreate everyone in a new hood, the old one was ancient anyway (and a little glitchy).

chnnature poor thing! I once had this happen in my now dead legacy (thank you, buggy game). My sim got pregnant three time and all the times she died due to the combination of starvation and ghosts. Lukily her husband always managed to save her.

Now... this is Eddie, gen 5 heir of my unpublished, new, legacy. I'd like to upload a legacy one day, but I can't get Fraps to work without getting huge writings on the pics and I don't want to pay for it. I'm looking for a free screencaps programme. But yeah, now, Eddie, through lifestages. I'll post pics of him as an adult in the Couples thread shortly.

The funny thing is, Irynda is a Romance sim and Lethium is a Family sim. With that Iryndas Life aspiration is to have 20 simultaneously lovers and Lethiums is to get to their gold anniversary.

Basically you start with one sim and then get them married and have kids. Then you choose a kid as the hier and do the same. Rinse and repeat for 10 generations! It helps if you get some crazy crap happening imbetween to keep it interesting!

So... my legacy's current generation spouse, Arielle, cheated on the heir with the llama mascot. The punishment for the llama was death by flies (you don't mess around with my sims, now, do you?), the punishment for Arielle is being cheated on back. So I made the heir, Eddie, look for a date with the crystal ball thingy at Simbology and who does it give him? Why, Fantasyrogue's Lola Miller, which I've downloaded just yesterday alog with Flash! They had a dream date, no surprise, since they've got 3 bolts, and she doesn't seem to min if her man is on the hairy side. It was a sweet revenge for Eddie, but in the end he went back to his wife and his 4 children. I don't have the heart to break up my families.

Fables, thanks! I have kept them going so far into gen 2 and almost the entirety of the gen 2 kids, at least the kids of the gen 1 heir, are all blond! The kids of the gen 1 spares are all brunetts. I'm curious to see if the ginger resurfaces in gen 3.
(Btw, I seem to have dummy-sims too who are almost always about to die from chosing to play in the tub rather than eat!)

Well, dang. I didn't realize there was a Legacy picspam thread, or else I wouldn't have spammed up the male pics thread. :) Guess I just didn't see it when I was going through the list. But I guess I'll join the fun here.

My legacy is the Andersons. So far, I've got the founding generation and Generation 1...and they're already weirdos, which you can read about here (http://forums.sims-community.com/showpost.php?p=1311535&postcount=451).

Founder Zane and his long-suffering wife Chris are both elders now. They will likely both die the next SimWeek-long round I play them, meaning I'll have ghosts. Yays!

Zane is certifiable. He enjoys playing the piano obsessively, grilling and eating hot dogs obsessively, and running on the treadmill obsessively. Oh, and playing in the bahtub, as he's doing here, though he's not quite as obsessive about that. He's a romance sim (Thank you, random number generator! :p ) and his engagement, marriage, and the birth of his only child all on the same day sent him straight into aspiration failure. He's not been quite the same since. Of course, this makes him fun to play. Despite (or perhaps because of) his insanity, he managed to achieve his lifetime want of being a Professional Party Guest, so he's all happy platinum now.

Unlike her husband, Chris is decidedly not insane. She's perfectly normal. Very neat. Gets all excited when she gets to clean a toilet. A knowledge Sim. Enjoys painting, fishing, and the occasional game of chess. Until recently, she was a Criminal Mastermind, which was her LTW, but she has now retired, wants six grandchildren, and generally churns out a painting a day, unless she decides she wants to go fishing instead.

I use "traditional" inheritance rules, in that the first-born son is by default the heir, no matter how much I might like someone else. (I play all the spares, anyway, so it doesn't really matter, in the end.) So thankfully, Yale came out a boy, since he's the only kid that Zane and Chris had. Knowledge sim like his mom. He's engaged to Ophelia Nigmos, with whom he has three-bolt attraction. (Yes, I break the only-marrying-townies rule. I always let my Sims pick who they marry by letting them meet a bunch of people and then winnowing the possibilities down by attraction scores. Ophelia was the "winner" in this case.) They attend Academie Le Tour together, living in this house (http://forums.sims-community.com/showthread.php?t=65242), and will have a big, splashy wedding once they're done. Unfortunately, Yale has carried on the tradition of madness, as you'll see if you go to that other thread. I'm hoping Ophelia, a family Sim, can inject some sanity...

I'm not fond of those braids she comes with, so I gave her new hair. And some makeup. And of course she sports the default-replacement skintone and the default-replacement eyes I'm currently using. Green ones, of course. This family seems cursed with green eyes. So far, everyone has 'em. :)

Thanks, Blaztro, though I truly can't take credit for it. I've got really good (IMO) default replacements and face template replacements. :D

I need to import my custom brows into my "clean" Legacy user account, though. Right now, I'm stuck with the Maxis ones and Oppy's are kind of...well...thin, I think. :)

Well, I'm bummed! I finally got Yale, my Gen 1 legacy heir, and Ophelia Nigmos through college. Had the requisite big, splashy wedding all planned for when they got out. So, I moved them back into the legacy house and then sent them off downtown to buy wedding clothes. They were both starving, so they stopped at Red's Diner when they were done with the shopping...where ACR and their three-bolt attraction took over and they made a beeline for the photo booth faster than you can say "woo hoo". And of course they tried for baby. No big deal, thought I. Once they get home and I can plan their outfits and Ophelia's hair and such, they're going to the chapel, anyway.

...And that was the last thing I remember, pretty much. I must have fallen asleep while the home lot was loading. I play late at night, to relax before bed, so falling asleep with the laptop on my lap and the game running is not unusual and fun twists are often added to my game because my Sims are on their own for however long I sleep. Sometimes it's all night, but in this case it was only about an hour-ish, I think. When I woke up, this is the screen that greeted me:

No time for the big, splashy wedding, obviously! :D So, I had them exchange vows pond-side right then and there. In their jammies. (Oddly enough, Yale's parents got married in their jammies, too. This does not bode well.) Approximately 30 seconds later, it was Labor Time, and their daughter Xena was born. (I'm working backward through the alphabet for first names, and I'm on X. I'm praying that Ophelia -- one of those dreaded (for people who try to fulfill all their Sims' wants) family sims -- doesn't roll the 10 kid want, because I don't think 10 names that start with "X" exist, unless I dig into Anglicized Chinese. :p )

Big green eyes, ahoy. I wonder if I'll ever get rid of them. Not that I want to, but my hypothesis was that they wouldn't last even a generation because they're kind of pretty. Guess I was wrong, since Xena's Gen 2. (Or 3, if you don't call the founder Gen 0 like I do.)

Also, I gave Yale a new, nicer hair that I found on GoS. I think it suits him. :)

Aw, thanks. :) I think he is very pretty for a born-in-game Sim with a townie mum. Probably the prettiest my game has ever spat out. I guess I did "load the deck" a bit, though, since I deliberately made his dad a pretty boy. :) In any case, I'm very interested to see how his kids (and their kids, and their kids, ad infinitum) turn out. Gonna play the legacy tonight, methinks, if I don't fall asleep while the game's loading, like I did last night. :lol: So, I'm sure there will be more pics on the horizon. :)

The Aspir Family

After divorcing from his wife, Elizabeth, because she refused to bear him more children, Victor Aspir married Natasha Una. They currently have 3 children together and 1 more on the way. (Also, this was discovered after they had married, but Natasha and Victor happen to be distant relatives!! O_O...ooops.)

Yeah, I know, I'm surprised they lasted this long! :) But my founder picked a wife with green eyes and Yale picked Ophelia Nigmos, who has green eyes, so I've been lucky so far, at this early stage of the game. We'll see what the next generation brings. I'm just hoping the large eyes last through the generations, because I think they're pretty. We'll see about that, too, I guess. :)

Hello JaimeA! Both are gorgeous, I understand that's difficult to choose.

You know I was in the same situation with my 2nd generation of my Bosco family, I couldn't choose a heir between the 3 children, so I decided to go on with the 3 in 3 different houses and that's the reason why my Bosco family has always 3 sides. For me it was the best choice, and I don't regret it, now I have 3 houses to play and I never get bored (still after generation 11).

So, it depends on how you like to play. Or you can see your gen 3 members and choose the one you like more, but I guess that will be difficult too cause all your sims are beautiful !

Last night, on "As the Andersons Turn":

1) Matriarch Chris, long-suffering wife of founder Zane, kicked the bucket. She lived to the ripe old age of 76. Bless her for putting up with her crazy spouse and spawn for that long. I'm thinkin' canonization here... ;)

2) Patriarch Zane has 1.98 feet in the grave. Next time 6:00 PM rolls around, he's a goner. I'm gonna miss the fruitcake. I'm hoping his ghost will be just as entertaining as he was.

3) Xena Anderson was born. Again. Last time I played the Andersons, I apparently didn't save my game before I quit, which is not surprising since I'm usually about 3/4 asleep when I shut down the game for the night. When I loaded the lot, Ophelia was still pregnant. Ooops. It turned out for the best, though, because Xena Mark II has red hair instead of black. During the time that I played last night, she made it up to child. I quit for the night when she went off for her first day of school. So, pics:

She, like her father before her, transitioned to toddler in a tuxedo. I think this family is doomed to perpetual loopiness...

Got rid of the pink-red version of her hairstyle and gave her the more realistically red version of it. Much better, IMO. Also gave her freckles. When she comes home from school, we will change her outfit. Other than that, I think she's pretty, and I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll look like as a teen.

4) Xavier Anderson, the first boy -- and therefore the heir -- was born. He got the darkest skintone, like his grandma, which is kind of nice since she died the day before he was born. Here he is with Yale, who can be a really good dad when he isn't busy eating grilled cheese and running around naked...

5) Yale maxed out all his skills, accomplishing his LTW. Ophelia, on the other hand wants 6 grandkids, heaven help her, so she won't be making hers for a loooooooooong time yet, if at all.

We'll see what tonight brings. I'm anxious to see what Xavier will look like as a toddler...
