I just have to say that this is one of my favorite threads. I really like looking at all the different rooms, and design styles. I make my sims houses pretty much the same every time, so you guys have inspired me to do something different!

I bought a small house for the Hawthorne family (downsized by half from their current home) and decided to redo it to make the whole family fit! I'm also trying to decorate using colors and styles that I've never used before.

I totally agree, the cabinet does look really cute, I have trouble fitting it in normally cause of how low and thin it is, but you did a great job (may have to steal the idea). I also like how you 'sandwiched' the DVD tower between the bookcases.

I really love the Ikea furniture it's probably the most used SP in my game (with K&B closely following).

Profoundlycan - I really like that concept, with the whole minimalist, white-based thing. It really works for an asylum, and still looks really good. Plus, its easier to play with.

Ekrybynaffit - Those nurseries are really great. It was really nice how you worked with an all-white backdrop. I especially liked all of the teddies. That was a nice touch. Very realistic.

An_na: I like how drab and dingy is feels without it being grungy. It almost reminds me of the sets on CSI (Vegas).

CiaoAlora: So clean, tidy, and suburban! It's like one of those rooms that so lovely that you just wanna plop down... but you're afraid you might muss things up and anger the owner.

SSChan... What a lovely compliment; thank you! I think Ernst and Sydie's bedroom is simply beautiful. The splashes of purple make it look quite elegant but somewhat modern at the same time. Purple is definitely one color I've always had trouble making work in my Sims' rooms, but you make it look easy ;)

These are some pictures of a living room for a new family of mine, the Alley's. Out of everything else in the house, I spent the most time on this room, sticking to a particular green-blue color scheme. Like the entire house, this room has no custom content.

The family that I made the livingroom for (btw, thanks for your comments ll30 and CinnePin, and everyone has amazing rooms!) moved into a smaller lot (my graphics are failing me, and I hear that lot size and stuff effects it...but it's also because of my virtual memory, xD), and I have their new living room to share. This time, it does has CC. Also, as you can see, I learned how to edit my images properly and make them less blurry. =D

Inspired by you guys, I decided to redecorate a 'spec house' for fun. It takes forever to get it all right, even for simple rooms. This is the only one I have done so far--the living room. The color theme is orange/white/brown which I think makes it a warm room.

These used to be big colors in the 1970s but I think the white big blinds make it look more updated.

I've recently gotten into the color pink for my sims (I myself am not a fan of it). You've put together a nice, clean room. It looks good. (But furniture downloading is good. :D)

pinkvampire, I like the weathered look. I, personally, can't do much with that, cos I'm shamefully shallow when it comes to my game. >.< However, I love how others can put it together and make it all look right. =]

Recently, I declared my utter presh Sim Andromeda heir and decided to redo her bedroom. And... oh my goodness. I myself am not typically a fan of pink. Or lime green, for that matter. o.O But I kind of adore this room. xD
