Thanks! :) I think it was sometime last year, I was going to update from XP to Vista, but it didn't go to well and I was left with no option to [happily] go back to XP. (I have Vista on my laptop anyways so I didn't want it on this computer). So I'd lost everything on my computer unless I'd backed it up (most of it I had, important files, pictures etc).

For Sims, I'd only backed up my Downloads and 2 or 3 of my important neighbourhoods. I'd not backed up the one that house was in because it was just my contest sims neighbourhood. It wasn't important, I had no attachment to any of them :)

I think I'm still mourning the loss of my Sims 1 families from my old PC! My self sim lived in the huge mansion and she was a Superstar and she had a special room for all her awards! Lost that due to a wrecked hard drive :banghead: This was way before I knew you could back up sims folders, I think this was back when floppy disks were still being used!

However, the second hard drive was still perfectly fine- shame it didn't have anything important on it! :mean:

Awesome rooms everybody. I can't understand how you can use so much cc so perfectly. I have lots of custom content, but I lose track of what I've got so easily and therefore I simplify my homes a lot.

Anyways, here is a home for a very special alien. The building has a "cylindrical" shape (quotation marks because walls aren't circular anyways) , wich for me has been hard to furnish ever since Sims 1 xD.

I haven't put most of my CC back in so I'm going mostly Maxis for now. AL added a lot of nice things that will replace some of my CC actually. Hooray for cleaner DL folders!

Anyway, this is Lydie's apartment. She's popularity with a LTW to get to the top of the Journalism career so I focused on a lot of travel and research (i.e. books) for her home. It's pretty simple as I didn't want to blow her rent on stuff but I really like the living room. It's a shame I couldn't get a good shot of the bath, I used those awesome new shelves over the toilet for deco and it looks really cute.

It is indeed right on the waterfront. I built it on a beach lot and then exited and decorated right around the lot with neighborhood deco so it'd have a pretty view. Hooray for criquette's gorgeous hood deco!

I sadly though had to move her out of that house (which meant I lost all of those rooms xD) because I thought it was intelligent to put her in the largest house which has the most lag.

BrilliantCat, that is one great looking apartment. I'd hate to be competing against you. I for some reason like the chilis,onions, and hanging herbs the MOST.Rainy_Day, you made that bed look really nice. It always looks like frump for me, guess cause I'm bad at matching those colors.
