Apart from being caught in the rain on our first day and crashing into a shop window we loved the place. Dave and I have already discussed buying a holiday home here for future holidays. Since it’s quite pricy to stay in the suites.

It still startles me when people walk into my home, or in this case my suite. On this occasion I was in my pj’s when the bell boy? Came to clean the room. We’d slept in this morning so were still here when he arrived. Of course he waltzed right in without knocking. It’s a good thing I wasn’t in the shower or something!

Today we were going to South End Beach where there’s a shipwreck where Bilbous Bob the pirate was washed ashore while searching for the monkey ruins of Jumbok IV whatever that is?
Sitting outside waiting for Keira to finish getting dressed Dave jumps up, grabs a shover from I don’t know where, and starts digging up the ground!
‘what are you doing?’ I asked him.
‘Digging for treasure’ Is his response.
‘what, here’
‘yeh why not?’
‘well because you can’t just go around digging up private property whenever you feel like it!’
‘It’s cool’ he says. ‘The locals said you can find all sorts of stuff buried in the gound’

First things first, something to eat…and what should be on the menu but Luau Ribs, Teryaki Maki Maki and Pineapple surprise!

As soon as we finished our meals we headed straight for the shipwreck. Dave climbs straight up to the top of the crows nest, then being an even bigger daredevil he walks the plank, almost falling off in the meantime…does he never learn?

Keira was having fun playing ‘captain’ and I found a treasure map in the captains cabin! I quickly rolled it up and put it in my bag, I guess you could say I stole it but then if they were silly enough to leave it there…. *giggles*

He may have been fencing with a dummy but he was looking very sexy to me right now. All the fresh air must be getting to my head if I’m finding my husband looking sexy while fencing with a dummy.

Keira and I wandered down the beach to build sandcastles and look for shells while Dave went for a swim. It was incredible what we found buried in the sand.

Among pretty shells I found jewelry and even a glass bowl with coloured stones in it! What a decorative bowl is doing buried on a beach is beyond me?
I was really enjoying digging in the sand until I found a crab.
Or rather, it found me! The little bastard latched onto my little finger with its pincers and wouldn’t let go!

Dave found this hilarious.
Once the pain had worn off it was time for a dip in the ocean and more picture taking! I was in love with my new digital camera and was snap happy. Especially since this was Keira’s first holiday.

Well it was a first holiday for all of us really, and we were loving every minute of it, well almost every minute of it.
A little bit of sun baking later and I had myself a beautiful tan, that I didn’t feel looked quite right on me….

Lol, stormy read the bon voyage forum. We've known about the pirate ship for months.
Although I'm starting to wonder if I should read this story. Star is giving such amazing advertising to EAxis... Is she a spy? *James Bond theme song* I hope not, good writers shouldn't be wasted in spying or advertising.

I adore Keira's outfits, they are really nice.
Dave and Keira do look cute in their hammocks.
Poor Dave, all burned, I feel sorry for him.

I hope they have some money left after their holiday, apart from paying for their suites and the tours they also get bad chance cards...

It wasn’t until this morning when Dave hopped in the shower that I noticed how red he actually was.
It looked awfully painful though if it was, he wasn’t complaining about it. Saying that, he looked as if he was bracing himself for the water to hit his skin.

Today would be our last day here and we were off to visit the famous ancient ruins of Jumbok IV.

What a disappointment that turned out to be!

Nothing here but a fountain and a couple of spa’s.
It was a long walk from the bungalows too so Dave and I sat down on the edge of the fountain for a rest. But not before flipping a few coins into this ‘magical’ fountain for absolutely nothing to happen. Not that I expected anything would.

So while we’re resting and discussing where to go from here, Keira, the sneaky little bugger, pours soap powder into the fountain! Where she produced it from god only knows but next thing you know red hot lava starts pouring from the top!

She seemed a mite shocked our little Keira, not to mention everyone else on the lot.
They all came running down to see it as if was some sort of wonder of sorts, which I suppose it was really, water turning into lava, but honestly, it would be some sort of silly stunt. Everyone came to see it even the hula ladies and some of the workers.

Keira didn’t see what the fuss was all about, giggling at her little prank. I don’t know what got into her lately but not long after the soap incident she’s calling everyone over to watch her show off and do cartwheels! This was completely out of character for her. Dave egging her on as usual. What was it about this place?? My family's gone mental.

Since this place was as boring as bat shit we chose to do a little digging, since there was nothing else to do here but sit in the spa’s.

Back at our suite we packed up our things and called for a shuttle bus to take us back to the airport. Since we didn’t check out until after 12 they charged us for another night! Grr these people! Milking us down to our last penny. As if we haven't spent enough already!

We would have stayed another night but we had already booked our flight.

On top of that they wouldn't allow us back into our suite. Dave was desperate for a shower but they wouldn’t allow him one so he walked into a neighbouring suite and showered there! I couldn’t believe it!

Sheesh, he's got balls. How bold! He’s lucky the bloke using the suite didn’t get up and thump him one. Instead he ignored it like it was perfectly normal and carried on watching the Television!

Usually it’s good to be back home, but the cold snow made it unwelcoming. It was good to see my other baby though.

I bet he missed us, it's the first time we've ever left him.

We found Lisa, our trusted nanny making our bed; she also had dinner on for us, god love her. Dave thanked her and gave her the usual tip while I warmed myself in front of the fire. What a climate change, from one extreme to the next!

Although it was cold we did come home from our holiday feeling refreshed. So much so that Dave was immediately on the phone with the real estate to purchase a holiday home. We’re flying out again in a few weeks to check it out and see if anything needs fixing.

Not Dave though, no, he’s already on the internet ordering the photo’s from our digital camera. I think he has ADD that husband of mine. He never stops. So glad Keira didn’t inherit that trait. Then again the way she was on holidays…only time will tell.

Dave has been really romantic since we’ve been home from our holiday. It’s done us the world of good. He’s been following me around a lot and even serenading me in the kitchen!

I’ve been getting annoyed with the produce we’ve been stocking the fridge with…it’s making me fat! I’m constantly having to run on the treadmill after every meal it’s ridiculous!

Thank god it only takes a day to get back into shape….maybe it’s middle age spread… I hope not! It doesn’t seem to be affecting anyone else. Dave doesn’t seem to mind though, like I said, he follows me around like a love sick puppy these days.

Some days I just watch her. She cracks me up the way she does things like when she wants a toy that’s buried down the bottom of the toy box, her head looks like it’s about to be lost in there with all those toys but she’d persistent, I’ll give her that.

She’s generally mild natured but at times, gets a bit rough with her soft toys, hugging them one minute then bashing the shit out of them the next. I often wonder what’s going through that little head of hers…maybe it’s a sign she needs to see a psychiatrist.

Wow, you were on an update frenzy :D

I loved it that Dave just took a shower at a random sims' suite. I don't even dare to go to the men's bathrooms when there is a huge line in front of the lady's.

Their holiday house is beautiful, lovely interior!

Edit: You're too fast for me... I do hope they get another child, Keira is lovely and the more lovely kids running around the better. If the other child gets fugly too, you can patch her up like you did with Keira ;).

I look out the window to see an elderly woman approaching…and…a young girl about Keira’s age walking past. Oh now a girl walks by…on a Monday morning…while Keira’s at school. Brilliant! What’s she doing out of school anyway?

Dave went outside to greet the gardening rep who shook his hand and introduced herself as Katy McGraw. We already knew who she was as Dave has called her around before but his request for membership was declined, but now he had his silver gardening medal he liked his chances better this time around.

I wonder how the city even knows things like that? Are there secret spies or something watching our every move? Ohh I’d better get that thought out of my head…that’s pretty creepy.
Ok so where was I?

After shaking his hand Katy promptly let go and entered our garage to play our guitar…for tips! Christ, you should have heard her.

Dave, trying to be polite while yelling over the horrendous sound coming from the guitar, asked her once again if he could join the gardening club.
Katy placed the guitar back on it’s stand before tipping her tip jar upside down (amazing that she carries one with her?) only to be surprised and disappointed to find it empty!

Well surprise, surprise! She was only playing it for all of 30 seconds inside a garage, where did she expect the tips to come from??

Anyway, Katy made a phone call and had 3 more reps from the gardening club sent over to check out our garden.

It was kind of embarrassing really, we only had a few plants and some fruit trees. One of them-that damned lemon tree- never producing any fruit.

The reps wandered around our garden, scrutinizing every piece of growth and object in the yard. Katy herself seemed very impressed with Keira’s scooter, somehow mistaking it for a garden decoration saying ‘Decorative elements are a fantastic way to personalize a garden’
Wow! I wonder what she’ll make of the swings!!

We only had a few measly items in our yard but they were enough to impress the reps as Dave received his garden club membership.

Absolutely love the update frenzy. This has got to be the funniest, most lovable sim family ever!!! All the characters are hilarious. I'd love to see how Kiera would react to a new baby.

It amazes me that this wonderful story just comes from your interpretation of Sims behavior. Did I say I love it already? :)

Dave starts his new job tomorrow. There was nothing in the papers, unless he wanted to start at the bottom of the rung and become a drive through clerk, but he came across a job online for a platform jumper.

Oh my god! I thought. Personally I quite like the bald look…I find it rather masculine…but I’ve never seen Dave with no hair so I was apprehensive…after all, I was the one who’d be looking at it.

I didn’t have a say in the matter….minutes later it was gone! I don’t know about you but I find my hubby to be a bit of a spunk…and I didn’t think he could ever look any better but now…

Actually it got me so excited I wanted to chop my hair off too, plus if I were to be looking after 2 kids in the near future my long hair was just getting in the way.

There’s nothing scarier for a woman to be facing the mirror with scissors in hand ready to cut all her hair off….i swear I stood there for a good 10 minutes before cutting it right above my shoulders….no turning back now…

I guess I just wondered what happened with it, like is she actually running the business with that friend (forgot name, sorry) or did it not take off...? It seems funny to me that she never goes to work is all :) But then, I suppose we don't need to see every moment of her every day.

She does still go to work, I'll try to pop it in every now and then, but it's very very casual, they work when they feel like it...i think i did mention that in one of the chapters that all they needed to do was open the shop and they had customers....?

Edit: You know what? Just for you I'll do another chapter on it if it works out for me next time I'm in game :)

Her name is Rose Greenman, how fitting. She didn’t tell me too much about herself apart from the fact is married to Jason, whom I vaguely remember meeting at Aprils, and has a daughter named Daisy which I guess is even more appropriate. She is rather pretty though, if you like ‘em green.

Not very approachable for someone who was on my property.

Keira wasn’t the least bit surprised by her, nor the fact Dave and I both cut our hair off, nothing seems to phase that girl of ours. She’s very placid.

If I’m still working when she arrives home from school sometimes she will come and see me.

She never stays long though. I guess hairstyling isn’t her thing, although she does have the creative gene like her parents. She’s been learning to play the piano. Dave and I are thrilled, and so it seems, is the dog!

Speaking of work…we’re doing quite well Dana and I, often seeing the same people we’ve previously made over. As much as I’m happy about that I do prefer making over new people. Particularly the less confident ones.

Sometimes if Dave is home early he wanders over to take a peek. He got into a conversation about music with one of my customers and that was it…he had the poor girl cornered for about 20 minutes. He becomes very animated when music is the subject.

Dana has been studying and learning everything she can about the fashion industry, but she’s also keen on learning about styling so she can help out if needed. Sometimes there’s just too many people for just one stylist.

Dave and I organized a weekend camping at Three Lakes with our friends. Jane was eager to get away from it all and Liam and Brian came along also.

I forgot to mention, April and Seth were married a few weeks ago and were currently on their honeymoon. They had a small intimate reception at a nearby park which they set up with flowers and fairy lights.
It was beautiful.

I always thought them to be an unlikely couple but they were happy, and that’s the main thing.

So where was I? oh camping…

We found a large camping ground called Axewood park or something, I honestly can’t remember.
It’s set amongst the mountains where it was lovely and peaceful with a large lake in the center, barbeque's to cook our fish on, which we did, and a food stand .

There was also an axe throwing section set up which Jane put to good use….but kept losing her axe.

We could have just spent the whole weekend at the camping ground but of course we took the opportunity to see the sights, meet the locals etc.

We heard some crazy myth that Bigfoot still wanders about the grounds….pffft Bigfoot, what next.. all we saw were trees and lakes, and a whole entire shop with nothing but 2 display cases. How do these people make a profit??

Upon our walks we stumbled across another park where you could log roll. Always up for a new challenge I jumped on one and began rolling.
Now this was a challenge!

It didn’t help that Dave kept covering his eyes.

Dave thinks this is hilarious and challenges me to see who can stay on the longest. By now it’s getting dark and I’ve fallen off too many times to count.

We eventually went back to the camping ground for a shower some delicious chicken pie they served at the food stand before retiring to our tents.
Dave thought now would be as good a time as any to start ‘making another baby’. With the noise we made in there and the giggling I’m amazed we didn’t have a repeat scene of the time in the photo booth.

Up bright and early on our last day we had a lot of sightseeing and tours we wanted to fit in before we left to return home.

First stop was a nearby village for some breakfast.
We ate heartily whilst listening to ‘mountain music’ on the stereo where a girl was doing a sort of bootscootin’ kneeslappin’ dance.
Dave thought he’d give this a go.

Turned out to be Very good actually. It brought out some curious eyes and before long many people had joined in.

Following the happy dance was our first tour. Again there were 3. A logging expedition, bird watching and a nature walk.
The nature walk was lovely. We were even lucky enough to stumble across a suitcase, of all things to find on a nature trail, you may think this is not very exciting but upon smashing the lock open with a rock the lid flew open to reveal $500!
Much better than the bad luck we had on our last bunch of tours we went on.

Our guide was a friendly fella. Always smiling and not so flattered each time we spoke to him as the one at Twikki was.
Had a permanent whimsical look on his face though. A bit like a fish really. They have short memories see so once they swim to one end of the tank and turn around it’s like a new view for them to see.
So the fish is like ‘oh what lovely coral’, gets to the end, turns around ‘oh what lovely rocks’ turns around, sees the same coral but not remembering and ‘oh what lovely coral’
This is what I’m seeing with the guide he walks one direction ‘oh what a lovely tree’ turns, walks the other direction ‘oh what lovely mountains’ turns ‘oh what a lovely …’

Elated from our find on the nature walk we were looking forward to the logging expedition….until some idiot poked a stick into a beehive from which we were chased by bees, running like lunatics all the way back to the village!

We had to go home anyway, except there were no phones at the camping ground apart from the public one which wouldn’t allow us to call for a shuttle to take us to the airport, and stupid me for got to bring my mobile with me so we had to go hunting for a hotel or somewhere to use their phone.

This is when parenting gets tough. Trying to explain things like this to an innocent child.
What could I say to make her feel safe? How could I promise her that man wouldn’t come back when I didn’t know myself? I knew she was worried….i saw her holding her teddy bear in her room this morning and she’s never carried it around before.

All I could tell her was he was a naughty man who came in here to steal our things because he didn’t have any money and that’s a bad thing to do but that he wasn’t here to hurt her and we would never let anything happen to her.
She seemed happy with that but still…

I let Keira help me bake some cookies to take her mind off things while we waited for Dave to come home. We had just finished eating when the phone rang.
It was the school calling to tell me Keira lost a grade today due to having a day off!
What? A kid can’t have a day off school? What sort of school is this?

I pushed it out of my mind and sat back down at the table, after all, there didn’t seem like there was anything I could do about it.
‘Are you still worried about anything?’ I asked Keira.
‘Nah’ she said. ‘Well maybe just this much’

Keira slept in our bed again last night so I’m presuming she’s still worried about the burglar. I wish I hadn’t told her the truth. I should have just said he got lost and entered the wrong house. But then how would that explain the fight and why the police officer was here?

God I am just so fatigued lately. I can’t seem to stay awake for a full day without taking a nap. I feel nauseas yet I need to eat all the time….if only I had the energy to get up and make myself something. I wish there were a doctor I could….ooop.

The orange tree is bursting with fruit again; I wish the lemon tree would do the same. I guess i'll harvest the fruit then. Gives me a good excuse to go outside and get some fresh air before Keira is home from school.

Here comes the bus now. I love watching her come home from school. Everyday she turns and waves to the bus driver. That’s so sweet. Her friends do the same. Good to see some manners and courtesy in today’s kids.

Speaking of friends, she’s brought another one home with her. I wonder if her parents know she’s here. I would never let Keira go to some stranger’s house without telling me, even then I wouldn’t trust her to go on her own.

As I dozed on and off on the lounge I glanced at the girls chatting on the floor when Keira hung her head and told Lila about the burglar.

I slowly lifted myself off the lounge and suggested they go outside and play with the water wobbler, or whatever it's called, that Keira received on her last birthday.
They loved this idea and quickly forgot about the ‘bad man’

As they headed out the front door another little girl wandered into the yard.
‘Hi, do you want to come and play in our sprinkler’ Keira asked her shaking her hand as she introduced herself.

I watched them play for a while. They kept sticking their bums in the water. It was so cute and funny to watch and they were giggling their heads off.

I can’t stop eating! I’ve just finished 2 whole bowls of cereal and now I’m onto the leftover lasagna and I’m still starving!

I keep falling asleep in my food, I have absolutely no energy, the dog is asking to be fed and Keira is due home from school any minute.
I’d forgotten how draining being pregnant can be yet I’m sure I wasn’t this bad last time.

Well I can’t complain, it’s nice she has so many friends.

I’m going to get into my pyjamas and climb into bed for a while. I feel bad for Keira, her mum sleeping all the time. I’ll have to try and take an earlier nap from now on so I’m awake when she gets home.

Grown ups say things that make me worry like one day Daddy said he saw a man laugh his head off! I don’t want my head to fall off so I try not to laugh too much if I remember.

And I hear mummy saying one of her friends keeps getting carried away. Carried away where? Is she sick? I hope no-one wants to carry me anywhere, I can walk.

I think auntie April knows the devil too because I heard her say it was better the devil you know than the one you don’t…so how many devils are there????

Auntie April says her shop cost her an arm and a leg so who’s arm and leg does she have now? I didn’t know you could take your arms and legs off. I don’t want my arms and legs to come off. I wonder if sticky tape will help them not to come off?

Mummy says it’s always good to dance my cares away so that’s what I do when I’m feeling worried. Mummy taught me a dance called the smustle that she learnt when she used to go to college.
I need to have my bath but mummy is on the toilet again. She says if she doesn’t pee now her bladder will burst. I don’t know what a bladder is, but I don’t want it to burst so I will dance my cares away while I wait for her.

I think mummy is trying to copy the dog because last night when we were eating dinner she let go of her fork and put her face right in her dinner iinstead!

It's ridiculous isn't it! Keep in mind that i very very rarely 'cheat' with this household i'm telling it like it is. But they have to be the most robbed household in the 3 years i've been playing!
Mind you- i DID have to cheat when i was in game yesterday as i could not for the life of me get Emalita's nor Keira's fun levels up. No matter what i did the red bar would NOT budge! Same with Enalita's hunger so most of what i write there is truth. In the end i had no choice but to cheat and raise there fun and hunger levels or i feared it may have been the end of this story!

hehe no it's not but my story is not meant to be that way...any other story i would but not this one...i am sticking to the 'sims way' as i have always intended because it's meant for all players to relate..but of course sometimes rules must be broken and i do occasionally use a pose etc like i did with putting Keira in their bed because that household is meant to be normal, it's the town and the people in it that are not lol

yes i have been considering giving Keira the chance to speak once she goes to college, since that area was never covered...although i really really hate uni, it takes soooo long and they never ever get a day off!

Yeah, I got my sister to take a look at your story; she wants all the clothes now. When she plays the sims, she uses the motherlode cheat and goes clothes shopping. She uses more than one motherlode for EACH SIM!! :rofl: I told her if she downloaded all the clothes she liked, my computer would crash.

Yay a huge update! Thanks for showing us the salon again, starwyn :) I like seeing how life goes on in their little family. I especially liked Keira's part. I mean, I love Em's narration, but it's cute to hear from Keira. For a while I've been wondering if she's one of the simmier sims or the normal-person sims, since sometimes Em comments on her actions. I'm glad to see she has a bit more wit than many sims.

Oh, and I know you said the tests don't say so, but I have to wonder if there's a second baby hanging out in there too...

We have a new addition to the family. A bouncing baby boy we named Brandon. Why I picked that name I have no idea. It just sort of popped into my head. I should have been more prepared.

Dave did a strange thing once Brandon was born. Instead of coming to see his new son he went and sat down at a nearby chair, to calm his nerves he later told me. What about my nerves?

Now we’re running around like mad trying to fix up our new baby’s nursery…so he at least has somewhere to sleep.
We only finished putting up the walls yesterday! Totally unprepared this time around, not to mention the greenhouse was Dave’s first priority before the baby’s room.

Brandon looks so tiny in that big cot, he’s almost lost in there.

I don’t know how we managed to squeeze on the extension to our already bulging house. The walls are literally spilling into the perimeters of our yard. At this rate we’ll fishing from the roof and Barbecuing on the road.

Keira forgot about boy germs long enough to come and see him, but quickly lost interest and ran off to play with her friend again.

I felt surprisingly good after having him, like my normal self again. Probably because I didn’t have him at some ungodly hour of the morning.
Dave had to leave for work straight away which was a bit of a bummer but I ordered Pizza for dinner and by the time it got here I was so hungry I wolfed down my first slice right there in the front yard.

Time flies when you have 2 kids under your feet. My Brandon is already 2 and Keira is almost 11! Won’t be long before she’s in highschool!

He’s quite the handsome little guy my Brandon. Still looks like his Daddy but has my blonde hair and freckles, although my freckles have faded over the years.

He’s a typical toddler, plays in the toilet water like Keira used to, gets embarrassed on the potty and likes to eat the dog food.

Having 8 years between kids makes the mind forget…..the middle of the night feeds, lack of sleep oh and let’s not forget the 3am potty training…Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking but then I look at him sleeping…..

oh yes, he did need sim surgery very badly. It's all Emalita's fault! It's really dissappointing because she is sort of my legacy sim but now, in truth, they have very slightly tweaked maxis faces. I hate the limitations with in game sim surgery. I hate that they never really have much of a top lip.
Furry-well i don't know, 11 year olds grabbing their ass and pelvic thrusting doesn't sit well with me....
Did you know i took 60 photos for those last chapters and my photos are never in order in the folder they're stored in!

Brandon is very cute Star! I'm SO annoyed with how lousy maxis were when they organised the whole genetic thing, once I created an amazing looking sim and her kids were cute--EXCEPT they had chipmunk cheeks and since I don't have any custom content skintones they were all squared off! lol

Twelve year olds have it easy. I'm a fracking sophmore in high school, and I'm taking all honors classes yes, but between school, homework, work, sleep, and extracurriculars (whoo robotics!) I have like twenty minutes of free time a day. I would be quite impressed if Kiera was as screwed over in the sleep department as I am. Stupid unrealistic sims, pasisng out after only twenty hours :P.

Keira is 13 today and starts highschool tomorrow! I can’t believe I have a teenage daughter already!
I may be biased but she’s growing up beautifully. Such a lovely face…casually beautiful is how I would describe her.

She looks a little older than 13, which is a bit of a worry…it’s only a matter of time before she discovers boys…or worse, they discover her!
Anyway, we’re going ahead with the Private school plan. We talked with Keira about it and she really wants to go.
I phoned the school this morning and the headmaster wants to come over for dinner!

Personally I don’t see the need for a headmaster to come to our home. I find that a tad invasive. What's wrong with an interview?

He’ll be here at 5pm so I’m on a cleaning frenzy. We have 2 bathrooms now since we all seem to coincidently need to use the bathroom at the same time. As much as I love the convenience of having an extra bathroom I do NOT like the extra cleaning.
Keira is helping me though, not that I asked her to but I have come to understand as she gets older she cleans more when she’s nervous.
As a matter of fact, she’s not really helping….she’s going over what I’ve already done.
I guess my cleaning isn’t to her standards…I pity the poor man who ends up marrying her.

Maybe you should extract your kids and get rid of the surgery, then age them up to see what they would look like. If you can do that... *shrugs* Usually, they look MUCH better when they're older.

Age is creeping up on me, I feel it won’t be long before I’m bent like a hook wearing cardigans and spectacles with my hands deep in soil growing herbs in the garden.
Speaking of which, I think Dave is beating me to that…he’s started talking to his plants.

On top of that he bought a green garden gnome! The freakish little thing is mounted out front of the greenhouse ready to ward off any potential plant thieves supposedly. Who knows, I hate the thing, it’s creepy.

Brandon has just turned 6. There are only a few days between his and Keira’s birthdays. Brandon’s starting to look more like me and wears his hair all shaggy like.

He’s more outgoing than Keira and he runs everywhere! No matter what I ask him to do or where he’s going he runs. Even when he’s taking the garbage out.

He also likes to study which is really unusual for a kid, he loves reading and is always looking to learn new skills.

His studying must have paid off though because on his second day of school he won first prize in the school science fair for making a working volcano out of Paper-Mache. His prize? 250 big ones! That’s a large cash prize for a little kid.

He’s a great kid, they both are…well except when Brandon chooses to come into our room when we’re having a lie in to watch TV. Now that is annoying. The TV in the loungeroom is bigger and he doesn’t have to stand up to watch it so why he prefers to watch ours is beyond me?

Having 2 kids isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. They help out a lot, particularly with Pippin. They love him…and he loves them. He provides us with lots of entertainment that dog. The snow lays thick on the ground this time of year and buries his food bowl, resulting in Pippins head being lost as he nuzzles through it to get to his food.

Keira brought home a new friend on her first day of highschool…I have to give her credit….to make a new friend that fast…her name is Rosemarie Jitmakuso. Try saying that 3 times after a few drinks, even without a few drinks would be difficult.

I keep forgetting Keira finishes school now at 1.30 instead of 3. It was probably better that Jane caught us rather than Keira, might have scarred her for life. Hahaha.

I’m keeping a closer eye on that girl of mine since I caught her outside last night shivering from the cold. She had been playing with Pippin and when I went to call her for dinner and she's actually turned blue.

It was lucky I called when I did because next thing you know she suddenly goes stiff and falls face first like a plank of wood into the snow. She literally froze! There was my baby lying unconscious on the ground with her head completely buried beneath the snow. Imagine if I hadn’t seen her! If she didn’t freeze to death she would have suffocated!

If it wasn’t so terrifying I might have laughed at the sight. Back, butt and one leg poking out from the snow. One cup of hot chocolate later and a good night sleep she was right as rain, but still….

I don’t know what it is about Keira and winter. Do you know she still gets urges to sell lemonade whenever it’s freezing outside…is it me or is she getting too old to be doing that anyway?
No harm in it I guess…but she is rather big for the stand.

Mum thinks WE'RE loony. She can talk!

I see her and dad dancing in the kitchen, or juggling bottles from the fridge, all the time with the juggling.
And she has this thing we’re she thinks it’s hilarious to whack me in the head with a pillow when I least expect it.

And did you know mum and dad still go on dates? In the house! True! Dad asks mum on a date but they don’t go anywhere they just slow dance on the front lawn and flirt with eachother…ok so I do think it’s sweet and all that they still love eachother but seriously! Once their date has ‘ended’ Dad puts a perfumed love letter in the mailbox with a card and a photo of HIMSELF on it!

She also insists on doing all my friends hair and make-up when they come over and mine whenever she gets the chance. She tells Brandon dragon fables and last weekend she dragged me outside to build a snowman and instead of the standard top hat and scarf she makes him into a devil snowman! Probably to freak the neighbours out.

Claire, nearly all my skintones are from mts2 Emalita's is (i think) pixie dust from enayla defaults are from oepu recoloured by corvidophile and i can't remember which one Dave's is...mind you i've changed my defaults a few times but have gone back to coridophiles

Although they’re right next door, with both mine and Aprils hectic lifestyles I don’t get to see them much and they’re getting very old now. While April is screaming in Agony I’m screaming for Seth, he didn’t come inside after he finished his snowman.

Great timing. From the look on April’s face there’s no time to call him. The baby is coming and the weird neighbour guy is back inside freaking out mumbling something about what is happening here? Why is this woman screaming?

I shoo the neighbour away, I don’t even know his name, and coax April into breathing. Within minutes April is cradling a little baby boy.

‘April, look. He’s beautiful and he looks just like you. Look at those big blue eyes..
…what are you going to name him?’
‘I don’t know? I hadn’t even though of that yet…what do you think of Daniel? I’ve always liked that name.'
‘Sound’s good to me…hi Daniel….oh he’s so tiny…oh if I didn’t already have kids.’

After we oohed and ahhed over this new little bundle of joy April finally took that toilet break and shower and while I was cradling Daniel the weird neighbour set the kitchen on fire!
The inconsiderate bastard took off out the door, leaving behind 2 women and a newborn in a burning house.

I quickly yelled out to April before rushing outside with Daniel.
A fireman was there within seconds…gotta love those guys…and put the fire out quick smart leaving April and I standing knee deep in snow with our mouths agape.

April particularly frightened considering the fine line between bringing a new life into the world and being so close to losing it.

Back inside I inspected the kitchen for damages while April stood rooted to the spot clutching her new little bundle of joy. The neighbour had also come back inside with us…what a nerve!

He dismissed the daggers April and I were throwing with our eyes as he cheered for the baby….that is until I told him to piss off.

I didn’t really know what to say next. After all it’s not everyday you witness a birth and a fire within minutes of each other.
As I sat with April on the lounge cooing over the new baby and trying to calm her nerves I could hear running water. I glanced up to see the kitchen sink had sprung a leak. Well they say things happen in three’s.

I tried calling Seth but couldn’t get hold of him so all I could do was wait with April until he arrived home. I fixed the sink and washed the dishes, all the while April thanking me profusely. She seemed ok by the time Seth got home but I wouldn’t be surprised if she went into shock after the day she had.

After some thought I’ve decided to quit working with Dana at her home and do a bit of freelance in my own home choosing my own hours so I can focus more on my family. Keira will be starting uni in a year and I want to be available for her as much as possible considering she will be so far away from home.

The first thing Keira does after getting home is turns on the stereo and does the smustle. There she is dancing away in the loungeroom while her friend looks past her at the television. Completely oblivious.

An hour and a half later Brandon is home. He wants to smustle too but there’s homework to be completed. It’s amazing how much they’re given.

Halfway through he spots a boy about his age walking toward the house. He has sunnies on. I can just hear Dave saying 'Dude! The snow to bright for ya?'

So now we have a house full, which is nothing unusual.

The house is buzzing with noise. Everything is on. TV, stereo, kids dancing and the dog barking at the womrat.

Brandon tries to do the smustle but he gets confused and forgets which direction he’s meant to be turning.

Once the kids friends have gone home Brandon returns to his homework and Keira teaches Pippin to play dead.

We’re having a late dinner, Keira prepared it. Bass with squash. Quite impressive for a 16 year old.

I’ve taken the opportunity to quiz her on what scholarship she wants to apply for, for university. So far she’s shown no interest in uni whatsoever.

She says she’s unsure and right now she just wants to focus on getting an A+ report card-which they get daily.

Nice update. It's cool to see how a normal day goes in the Valentine household.

I really hate it when my kids come home from school and can't do anything because their needs are so low (and then they still have homework to do). So I try to send them immediately to private school, which is heaven for my sims' needs.

On closer inspection who I thought may have been a Lex Luther look-a-like is more of a Montgomery Burns. Balding with liver spots on his head. Bleuch.

Come to think of it, he reminds me more of Lurch from the Addams family…ok watching way too much television….this is precisely the reason I need a man in my life.

What is with everyone looking at me? Do I have toilet paper stuck to my shoe? Spinach in my teeth? Or maybe I’m just the only one here who doesn’t look like an 80’s has been…they probably think I’m foreign.

This place is full of women….god don’t tell me I’ve walked into a gay bar….Emalita would be laughing so hard right now…

I chatted with the bartender in the middle a bit before calling a cab to go home. As I was leaving an old woman was braving the dance sphere, mascot guy was in a D&M with the pervert and the girl who was pressed up against me was in a conversation…with herself.

I am so glad to be home.
