I have been asked to extend the round just a little bit more so, it will end at 4:00pm...I really wanted to give everyone as much chance as possible this round...I always feel that the first round sets the tone for the whole contest. I know that if I can do well in the first round, I get confidence for the next rounds coming up :).

I have the comments from one of the judges...here is a general comment to everyone:
Due to the number of entries I did not go into everything you did correctly. I tried to concentrate on where you lost points in my judging so you can focus on those areas. If I thought you did particularly well in an area I mentioned that as well. All of you had good aspects to your entries.

Levis Ad: Most, if not all, of you did a good job on this assignment.
Got Milk Ad: I was looking for not only posing with a toddler but some type of interaction as well. And even though it was not required I think the ad made more sense if you actually showed a glass of milk in the picture.
Group: Again, most of you did great on both posing and expressions for this shot. Challenge: Saw a lot of beauty in this assignment!

Now.......... down to the scoring and comments for each of you....

Alyssa...You are the winner of this round, Congrats!!! Your score was 555.5
Comments: Beautiful model with that fierce look but try to change up her expressions in the various photos so she doesn’t always have the same look.

Comments: Nice posing for group shot; background was not “plain” for challenge photo

Comments:The photoshopping in the group shot was a little off especially in her swimsuit bottom in the crotch. Challenge photo was cropped a bit low for “shoulders up”. (Maize, I will talk with the judge and if points were take away due to photoshopping I will have it adjusted, you should not be penalized by my bad photoshopping :))

As you can see the judges "see all" and especially make sure that task requirements are followed....keep that in mind in the upcoming rounds :).

Now....the part I hate the most....

Angelina - I am sorry to say that your score of 455.4 was just a little to low to make it to the next round
Comments: Again, try changing up her facial expression in the photos and be sure to pick an expression that shows her beauty. Her name was misspelled in the Levis ad on the license plate

Madeline - I am sorry to say that your score of 414.5 was the lowest score and therefore you will not be moving onto the next round.
Comments: Lost a lot of points for posing with an infant rather than a toddler in the Got Milk ad; her name was difficult to see in the Levis ad (try different lighting or font color); her hair was supposed to be “loose and flowing” in the group pose

Catherine - Your score was second to the lowest 452.9 but, because Alyssa was your "buddy" and won the round, you are uneliminated and you will be proceeding to the next round. Congrats!!!
Comments: Beautiful model with that fierce look but try to change up her expressions in the various photos so she doesn’t always have the same look

Task 1 – A Day at the Beach
For this photo shoot, you will be in the studio and against some backgrounds that are of vintage beach scenes. You will be wearing a one of the new “island” outfits at All About Style. (AF-Casual page 12 bottom right two, page 13 all but, the evening skirt and sequin top and in AF Swim the bottom right suit) You can mix and match these outfits so, have fun designing your own style.

Hair/Make-up: Your choice but, it should be light, breezy and carefree, you are at the beach.
Outfits: You design your style from the outfits outlined at All About Style

Task 2 – Covert Operation
Yep, you all are going to be secret agents. In this photo shoot we are promoting outerwear….trench coats, jackets (fur trimmed or not) etc.. Accessories are being promoted to…hats and sunglasses.

Requirements:
Background: Should look like a place that a secret agent would be (warehouse, dark alley, factory etc….use your imagination)
Pose/Expression: Your choice….expression should be serious/fierce…you are a spy
Outfit: Outerwear, hat and sunglasses
Props: You can use props either in the background or with your sims
Text: You need to have the Designer, outfit name and the price of the outerwear, hat and sunglasses on the photo. Example: Jane is wearing Versace’s Trench Coat $350.00 with a Dior Floppy Hat $75.00 and sunglasses $150.00….something like that you can be much more creative than that.

Challenge (Optional worth 10 points)
For this photo shoot we are giving you the use of a photographer so, you can go anywhere to take this picture…only requirement is that you are posing with a pillow.

Requirements:
Simple – only requirement is that you are posing with a pillow…everything else is left up to you…be creative!!!

wooly (winter/fall/spring) outerwear, it does not have to be heavy and bulky..it just needs to be something you would wear out if it was cool/cold. Remember you are a spy so it should fit the situation.

They do not need to be designer names...or the creator's name. You can put an outfit you found on MTS2 for example and on the pic say it came from Dior or Klein or you can make-up a designer name.

1). Catherine Hallow (Martyk) Overall good job. My favorite of yours is your group shot. Challenge pic is a bit dark though and I would like to see her face more in your Got Milk shot.
2). Angelina Harison (Jasmin) Overall good job. My favorite of yours is your Got Milk ad. You mispelled Angelina's name in your Levis' ad.
3). Raina Vogel (Mirei) Overall good work. Raina is pretty in each pictures. Take care when using real background, Raina looks huge in the Levis' ad. My favorite of yours is your Got Milk ad. Group shot is a bit dark.
4). Cristalyn Aubry (Pussycat) Overall outstanding work. It's hard to pick a favorite picture. I love the creativity and Crystalyn's expression in each of them. Cristalyn's shoulders should have been bare for the challenge picture though. Other than that you perfectly nailed the round.
5). Talasai Kalvera (joanne) You did a good job. My favorite of yours is the Levis' ad. I love the way you put Talasai's name in it. Other pics are okay but I'm not sure about her expression in the challenge shot. She unfortunately doesn't look fierce or haughty to me.
6). Alyssa Berkley (footballer) Another solid entry. Alyssa looks fierce in each picture. Keep up the good work.
7). Jessica Avenir (i saw drones) Nice work. I think you didn't choose the best outfit for your Levis' ad. Challenge pic is great.
8). Bronwyn O'Callahan (bree2kool8) I'm just wondering why Bronwyn's body parts look so thin in some pictures but overall you did a good job. Bronwyn's shoulders should have been bare for the challenge shot though.
9). Maize Boston (emaone) I wish your pics were bigger because it's a bit hard to see Maize's facial expressions. Overall nice work but I know you can do better.
10). Lacy Lovejoy (Sisaly) You were assigned pose 3 for the group shot and your picture unfortunately doesn't match. You did a good job with your other pictures.
11). Iris Kipling (LailaJohanna) Nice work overall. Good windy effect in your group shot. Iris' outfit for your Got Milk ad doesn't have a thailandish feel to me.
12). Madeline Hutchidson (GalacticSimmer94) Nice job overall. Your best shot is your challenge shot. Great lighting effect. Be careful with proportions especially in your group shot.

You know, I really don't look at the entries if at all possible. And now that I see everyone elses, I feel like a schlub. I, in no way intended for my cover theme of the spy pic to copy Pussycat's pic title. And on top of that, I feel way sub-par. 5 months really killed my skills. Plus now I work full time so I have even less time than before, but it's still so much fun. The challenge is great too. I'm so glad I entered.

Godiva Chocolatier is a manufacturer of premium chocolates and related products. They have come to ANTM to promote their next ad campaign. This campaign is playing off the name of the company “Godiva” as in Lady Godiva. They did this campaign many years ago and are looking for a fresh approach to it once again. Yep, you all will be shedding your clothes once again, most of you will be getting hair extensions and to top it off you will be working with a live horse. You have the freedom of choosing the tone of the ad….mystical, modern, medieval. This means you can choose the background of the ad….how she interacts with the horse, is she riding? Standing next to it? You will choose the objects, accessories.

Requirements:
Background – Your choice, mystical/fantasy, modern, medieval, victorian...etc. (no gothic)
Hair- very long and it can be in your color, you do not need to be a blonde
Outfit: Nude (so make sure all the sensitive parts are covered or hidden)
Make-up – should match the background you have choosen but, try to stay natural, soft, nothing too dramatic.
Pose: Full body shot and you need to be interacting with the horse…riding, petting it…etc.

Covert - Good choice of background and outfit; a different font size and color would have helped in being able to read the words. Challenge - Very sexy; great expression; captured the mood perfectly

Judge 1: Great job! Lovely pictures. However, the beach pic, your girl should have been looking into the camera. The Covert picture, I think you could have had a better pose. Another pic too dark like many of you had done.
Judge 2: Beach - Nice pose for the scene but her hand seems abnormally out of proportion to her arm and I think it would have looked better if her other arm and hand were not cut off in the picture. Covert - Great sneaky pose and I liked the absence of color. The ray of light fit the picture perfectly. I couldn’t easily see the text. Challenge - She looks a little lost in that big bed and surroundings. I don’t think her facial expression showed her true beauty.

Judge 1: I loved your Under cover chic with that cigarette in her hand! Great idea. Your Challenge picture was a bit too light, no color, very plain. And it would have been nice if your sim was facing the camera!
Judge 2: Beach - I liked being able to easily see her expression. Her hair seemed a little too stiff on top with just the ends being windblown. Covert - The magnifying glass was a cute addition. Good use of color on your text to make it stand out without being overwhelming. Very “spy-like” pose and atmosphere. i too work from home, and thankgod for that. after stomach flu and still getting over it i have some viral upper respitory infection or something. its not pretty. lucky i have some forgiving clients, especially when their teacher has a horrible clogged up voice. im not used of having children home either (coz usually they arent sick) and trying to do anything on the PC without them asking for something every five minutes, i lose concertration easily. it just has not been my month .... anyway nuff spam :D

Congrats! You have made it to the final round; one of you will become America’s Next Top Model for Cycle 4. The winner will have her banner displayed in ANTM’s Cycle 5. Now, onto the Tasks...I guess there is no secret one of your tasks will be a banner to be displayed in the next cycle :). This round we have something special but, not unusual...you will be doing a magazine cover but, this time around you will be a bride instead of doing a make-up/beauty cover. This round is all about beauty, romance and promotion. How well do you promote the product you are modeling. You four are the best out of almost 30 applicants so, we consider you the best of the best...so, us that we were not wrong :).

Task 1– Modern Bride Magazine Cover

Ladies, we are down to the final round. As a top model you will be featured on many, many covers but, none brings out the princess and elegance of a model as much as the cover of “Modern Bride”. Today, “Modern Bride” has requested that you pose for their December cover. This cover is a great accomplishment for you. It gives you an opportunity to show the public and fashion community just how versatile you are and what you can offer the modeling field.

Requirements:
Background: Should be something appropriate for the December cover, bridal and romantic.
Pose: Full body to waist up (no head shots only). You can be standing, sitting…whatever you chose.
Hair: Your choice
Make-up: Natural
Outfit: Bridal gown. (Veil, flowers optional)
Props: Your choice….columns, flowers…etc.
Groom: A male sims and is optional; your choice to have or not
Text: Modern Bride and all the text that is usually on a magazine cover….articles inside etc.

Remember this is a bridal magazine so the bride should be showcased and it should be romantic.


Task 2 – ANTM Banner
You will be creating a banner for the next ANTM Cycle 5. The winning banner will be the featured banner in Cycle 5.
1). The size of the banner should be 650 x 450.
2). You must be on the banner; you can include real life models if you choose. But, the focus should be on you.
3). The America’s Top Model logo needs to be on the banner with the cycle 5 included.
4). Everything else is your choice….be creative!

P.S. I would like to give credit to the first person who ever thought of or created a contest task that involved magazine covers and banners...without their creativity where would beauty contests be :).

I can post some examples of the real ANTM's promos and the banners from previous ANTM cycles here but, that does not mean that they have to look like these....just that they might give you some inspirations. Sorry for being vague but, there is really no specific look for the banner :).

I know the drama was a few pages ago, but I was just prompted today to come take a look...

Ballerx23 if I were you, I would be thrilled that someone was using my pictures as an example for a contest. Although I can clearly see where you are coming from with wanting credit. No one is right and no one is wrong in this situation because the host didnt deliberately take your pictures and claim them to be her own.

So here is my decision: Ballerx23, next time you have a problem similar to the one your ran across in this contest thread, please take it up via PM. You can even simply hand it off to a Moderator if you feel you cannot or do not want to deal with it yourself. jaela and all the other present and future contest hosts, if you decide to use a picture that you fully know is the property of someone else, please give them credit (ie "This photo is by boolPropped").

There will be no more of this discussion brought up in this thread. If you wish to say anything additionally constructive, please use the PM System to do so in a calm, mature manner. All replies to this discussion in this thread will be delete and the user may be alerted/warned.

sorry everyone for being missing...I got into a car accident, a car ran a red light and hit me, sending my car into a spin. I am okay, had to spend some time in the hospital as a precaution. Just banged up and a broken ankle but, it could have been worst...thank god for air bags and seat belts.

jaela, first let me start by saying, I'm soooo happy you are not injured more than you are. Thank Mother Nature you were wearing your seatbelt!!! :drive:

So, is it all possible to extend this round just like 3-4 hours? My 2yr. old has the "lower end" stomache flu and I'm so exhausted, and then I have to work (cleaning houses) until 2-3pm est tomorrow. I have all the pics taken for the banner, just need to put it together. Hope you heal fast and properly!!

You produced some lovely pictures throughout the contest. You did a nice work here too. My favorite picture is your cover. I like its winter feel. Parts of the text is difficult to read though. Try to use basic fonts when it comes to magazine covers and avoid the callygraphied (is that a word?) ones. Banner is plain but I like the use of bubbles.
