This seems like a really good contest. I love the idea and how it involves *actual* gameplay. But, urgh, I always hate myself for entering contests because I never seem able to see them all the way through.

Either way, I'll be wtaching this, wgroome.

Hi, I'm Navee.
You may have seen my out and about in the restaurants, you may have not, I don't do much of that anymore because of some issues I have with my bank accounts, or something. I don't care, I have my fridge and my grilling powers anyway.
I'm actually not an alien, believe it or not. Yes, I've eaten so much cheese that I've turned yellow on the outside.
Fooled you!
Yea, I wasn't born on earth, I came down when I was in my early years (around 3 or so) and have no memory of my early life in space. Apparently the care home(s) I was put in just said that I had a fetish for Cheese as a toddler; and here I am, over 15 years later!

I live in a little metal shack in the south of Depthon, It’s not that fancy, so I won't bother to talk about it. But I don't care; as long as I am able to make my grillygrillycheesesysheesey, I'm fine!
After I moved out of the restraints of the Care homes they put me in, I was able to be on my own (I was much more addicted back then. I had no way of controlling the urges, They suddenly came over me and I HAD to have some, It caused me to get up at 3 in the morning and start the grill, but I had no idea what I was doing, I set the house alight on regular occasions..)
I've now perfected the skill so much I can even conjure it up without the need of a stove! Its very handy, especially after the gas line was cut off last week!

How many contests can you be included in at once?

Depends on your ability not to go insane? I just had four going at once -- three are finished the last few days.

I have one question, wgroome, do we make a new sim for this contest or use one hanging out in the neighborhood already? I have plenty that have gotten nowhere in life if we can use them. It would be so much fun for one of them to do what he/she wants instead of me forcing them to do what I want just to get a pic.

Petchy: Wow! You're entry is done already!? That was fast. It's nice to see a Grilled Cheese Sim! Can't wait to see everybody else's entries!

You can of course use existing Sims. As long as you think you can make all your rounds interesting with them, there's no reason why not!

My name is Brian Hosmer and I am a romance sim. I spend most of my days either walking through the mall trying to catch them ladies or talkin to them via cell phone or computer. Everyone says that I spend way too much time chasing the ladies but it's what my heart desires (me too). How can I tell my heart that it's not right, ha ha.

http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n439/cavilez1987/ScreenShot028-1.jpg
I think I got all my tips and tricks from my father. He was the best ever. I feel like I have to do this, not only for him, but for me. I think this is what I was meant to do, love the ladies. I seem to be on a good start. It's nice to go out and meet the ladies. Who knew there were so many beautiful women out there.

Uhmm…Well, h-hi. My name is Herbie, and no I’m not a ‘love bug’. I suppose I should start by telling abit about myself? Well, I have an undying love for science and have done for as long as I can remember, I guess I’m intelligent, I was only one years old when I began the power of speech. But I'm also incredibly shy.

When I was young I didn’t go outside and play with other children, I preferred to stay inside and enjoy my childhood with my ant farm, I found that I consoled in my ants much better rather than other boys my age.

My greatest dream is to explore the skies above, I have a love for my telescope and most nights I’m out their gazing at the star, wondering if were really alone?

So, facts about me... I, like, LOVE clothes. And puppies. And I'm a vegetarian... Most of the time. That bacon is just so darn good! I'm working for the local electronic store at the moment... Selling food/kitchen equipment like fridges and kettles. I don't mind it... it keeps the money coming in though, eh?
I grew up in a pretty rich area and went to a Private school. It was O.K, I had loads of friends. But it gets boring when everyone around is so much more stupid than yourself. They used to look so confused when I talked... Even now I love to catch up with old friends... keep connections, you know?
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/softpanda/Aspiration%20and%20Me/headshot-1.jpg
I don't mind being photographed. Some people find it weird... I don't. Random, eh?
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/softpanda/Aspiration%20and%20Me/bodyshot-1.jpg
Oh, what an AWFUL picture of me! I can do seriously better than that. All the poses models do, you know. I think, deep down (and secretly... I have my reputation to think about), I wouldn't mind pursuing selling kitchen equipment to a higher level... I wonder if they do a college degree in it... Yeah!
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/softpanda/Aspiration%20and%20Me/freeshot-1.jpg
My neighbors are kinda scary. I feel that its, like, my duty to watch them... make sure they don't do anything odd. Or stupid. I also love to chat all kind of ways. Over the phone, MSN, online forums, letters, metting friends face to face and such. I think, here, I was talking to Lilia. Um. Lilly. Um. Julie?
Hahaha... Don't you just LOVE to laugh sometimes? Eh? Uhm...

Hey there... This is Kaden. Uh, I guess you want to know about me then. Well, I'm a student here at Simvard University, and I work part time as a bartender at the club. I'm known around campus as sort of a partier, but hey, it's all good. Overall I'm a pretty laid back guy, but I know how to have fun.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j144/MaximumRidePhotos/dance.jpg

Haha, that was sort of a blackmail shot the security guy got off of one of the cameras. About an hour before we opened, some of us employees had a dance off. I can tell you right now... I didn't win.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j144/MaximumRidePhotos/cardshark.jpg

Ahhh, poker night. When I'm not throwing it down on the dance floor or partying up a storm, I can be a bit of a cardshark. Or do they only use shark for pool? Anyways, I'm killer at poker. Practically a pro at reading people.

The name's Karen Marshall. To keep things short and sweet; I was born to a simple farming family who made money by growing things and selling them. I guess I was naturally more intelligent than all of the other kids at my school so I was awarded a scholarship to come and study in the city. That's when I discovered just how economic this world really was; growing vegetables was not the only way to make money. There was so much behind it, and so many different ways to get to the top. When my father died some time around then, I inherited quite a bit of cash. I guess that's when I began studying buisness and even went to college and got myself a degree; I was suddenly in love with money, and I wanted much more. I worked in a couple of buisnesses before I moved on to start my own. I currently own a total of three buisnesses, which I'm balancing with my career. They call me a tycoon. I call myself richer than the rest.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen2.jpg
Of course, owning a buisness has it's downsides. You have to pay your workers. I honestly don't mind paying them. Provided they're competent and actually get their work done.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen1.jpg
I still live in an apartment, but I plan to move out some time soon. Oh well, I still flaunt my wealth; with my shiny red sportscar.

Nice entries, you two!

We're over half way to the minimum amount of contestants!

When we hit 10, I'll release Round 1!

People still will be able to apply up to 2nd March, though!

You could always release round 1 whenever you are ready. You don't have to wait until 10 appliccations. :)

I was hoping that message would spur people on to enter, to be honest..... it's been a couple of days since any entries and I'd love to get 10 applicants (the minimum) before we start.

Charley-x
1st Mar 2009, 01:47 PM
I'd rather wait for round one anyway, if we all do our round one's then don't get 10 applicatants (which i'm sure won't happen) the contest would have to close and all of our work would be wasted, the contest rules state you have to have a minimum of 10 contestnats to proceed. :)

cavilez
1st Mar 2009, 05:17 PM
Yeah ok I see the point. It would be a waste for us if we don't get the 10 apps in. :)

I can make a really sketchy entry -- don't know if I'd get it done before tomorrow, though -- the Sim family I was going to go hit up for a "contestant" is in a house that's loaded with blue objects from me setting aside around 90% of my downloads while finishing off the maxis match contest. Boy has my game been loading faster, too.
The Sims that no one has seen in here before live in that house -- and they actually have personalities over there.

This round you should show us how your Sim found their aspiration. Did the lemonade stand they had as a child make them a Fortune Sim? Did an ant-farm gift from their aunt turn them to Knowledge?

This round should be in a story form, with pictures and captions underneath. The narrative can be from anybody's point of view or by a narrator.

Required:
~ 3 - 6 captioned pictures showing how your Sim found their aspiration.
~ All pictures must be annotated.

Optional:
~ None.

Quick question - are we aging sims down to show how they found their knowlegde? :)

Yes, you are. This can be a toddler, child or teen.

Am I allowed to use a grown up version of one of my sims from the Superb Siblings contest?

Of course you can! It'll be nice to see them again, :D

Hello! I'm Estelle Brighton, but you can call me Stella. I'm a very family oriented sim, perhaps because I didn't exactly have the most stable family growing up, with the exception of my twin, Lizzie. Right now, I am 17 years old, and attending Palo Alto High. My favorite subjects are art and theatre, and I love to be on stage. But my favorite thing to do is to with with little kids. I work at the nursery at my church, and my favorite things to do are read the kids stories, and listen to them (try to) talk. All of this combined makes me have the family aspiration, I think. My hopes and dreams, wants and fears make up a huge part of my life, and I'm excited to get to share it with you.

I've PMed wgroome and let him know that I will allow this contest to proceed with under 10 contestants. As we have done in the past, contests who proceed with less than 10 contestants are not eligible for a star.

But enjoy the contest and most importantly... have fun!

If you were thinking of joining anyone, please do! Really, PLEASE DO!!

W: I should have my round 1 text done *hopefully* by tomorrow. It all depends weither I have some free time in the day! The reason I am working so early is because I have a crazy shedual and May not have 'computer time' to use for writing this; so I'll use the trusty iPod like I did for the SS contest! Well, the Sim I wanted to use lives on a lot that's currently filled with blinking blue objects and since I really didn't feel like taking the time to all but completely refurnish the joint just to take a few pics, I'm using Jax since I had the foresight to pack the lot for his family before taking out my download folder with over 15K cc's in it
(That was a grammatically correct 50 or so word sentence. Aren't you proud of me? Can you tell I worked for a newspaper?)

Meet Jax Macadema. He's 15 or 16 in Earth years -- hitting his 115th birthday in reality. Jax came to be shortly after his father was abducted and impregnated by aliens for the second time. He grew up on an old Klingon Bird of Prey, but he's loved every minute of it. While helping his father and various siblings and other relatives search for his abducted sister, Jax was astounded by all there was to see and learn in the great expanse of the universe. He soon found himself hooked on knowledge -- thus becoming a Knowledge Sim.

name:Kardo Neila
age : Secret. She threaten to beam me into the middle of mating wild woolyboogers. I don't know what it means but she had a nasty smile on her face when she say it.
aspiration:Romance

Kardo Neila is a female from a star system far far away. She's hiding out in Veronaville until those starcrossed lovers forgive or at least forget. She is currently employed in the military but that is just for the short term. Kardo knows that her destiny is to be a Professional Party Guest like the Venus Hilton. She spends most of her free time on the phone talking with the tasty ( and not so tasty) human males that have crossed her path in hopes of developing a romantic relationship.

Hello! My name is Annalise Thompson. It's super lovely to meet you.

I suppose, to start, I have to mention that I am all about family. Extended, close, even best friends-- it doesn't really matter. I'm so used to having them around me I can't imagine it any other way! Even now that I'm older, I still get uncomfortable without having someone I trust more than an arm's reach away.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/appbodyshotpreviewjpg.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/appbodyshot.png)

I guess it's because I'm a little shy. But who doesn't like to know that there is always going to be people out there who love you unconditionally? I think it makes it so much more easy to get by, don't you?

Now that I've got that out of the way, I'm currently working at a coffee shop in Downtown Pleasantview. It's a stone throw's away from my apartment. I've been applying for jobs at the local papers, but so far it isn't working out. I've got plenty of time though, I'm only 25.

I am still single, if you want to talk about things not working out. But I think I can wait for Mr. Right a little longer. I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm kind of a fuddy-duddy. I'd much rather stay at home and play Don't Wake the Llama with my mom and younger sisters than go out and party.

round 1

My love of knowledge didn’t come at one time, or one place. It grew as I grew, becoming stronger each day, stronger because of one person: My Grandma

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/wednew.jpg

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/weddin.png

I never knew my parents, well not for very long anyway. My parents... They died when I was very young in a.... a *sigh* I still can’t say it; the image of them, the way grandma spoke of them every day. It’s made me feel as though I knew them, like they were with me through my childhood. Sometimes I still feel as though they are here.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspshot3clickcopy.jpg
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspshot3.png

My grandma was everything you could ask for. I think she felt guilty or responsible for me being an orphan... or she just loved spoiling me. Either way she treat me like a princess, I NEVER left her side, she would even work with me in her arms...I was a leech to be honest *giggles* permanently clung to her side.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/weaspnew.jpg
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspshot2s.png

My youth was mostly spent in grandmas book shop, she loved it there and so did i.When i’d gotten a little older grandma would let sit on the counter while she served customers i’d just sit looking at book after book pretending to read and help with orders.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/asp5click.jpg
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/asp5.jpg

The book shop is where i gained my first love of literature, of knowledge. By the time I was 2, my grandma must have read me every children’s book in the shop, just sitting for hours reading word after word. And well when I could read there was no stopping me, I’d sit in the shop and devour book after book, shelf after shelf just getting lost in the beauty of the books.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/weaspnew2.jpg
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspshot4.png

The books however where not the only love I had for knowledge, when I reached nine my grandma took me to the family cabin, the place, she told me. Where my mum and dad married, and where we stayed each summer until they died. Me and Grandma would fish and swim in the pond, watch the birds, the bugs just bask in nature. It’s there where I first gained my love of the world, where I first decided I wanted to explore.....

And that well that is where my love of knowledge came from :)

Round 1

Perhaps the thing that really sparked my interest in money was just how little it meant to my family.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen1-1.jpg

This photo, as you can probably tell, is extremely old. I suppose I was seven or eight. But believe it or not, that little cowgirl posing there was me. Before I got my glasses. It's true; I wasn’t born to any highly sophisticated rich family. My whole family was comprised of farmers. Just like the rest of them, I was born and raised right out in the country. Just like all the other kids, I spent the start of my life just helping my family grow the crops and tend to the animals. That was what money was to them. “Money” was gained by growing vegetables and selling them for incredibly low prices. You didn’t make much, and out there, you didn’t really need it. You just took your small income and built yourself a farmhouse. You didn’t need big riches to feed yourself; you grew your own food.

But I never was the farming type. When I was around ten years old, my parents stopped homeschooling me and sent me to a small country town school to get myself an education. My older brother had also gone to school, completed it until the twelfth grade too, but he had returned to the farm afterwards. My parents thought that I would do that too – they just wanted me to know a little literacy and numeracy because in the changing times, you needed that to get anywhere in life. But as soon as I got to school, I just fell in love with it.

No, not the learning part, the things they taught me about society. As I went through my teenage years, I took subjects that taught me about the world economy. About what money really was and what you could do with it out in the real world. I just became more and more obsessed with learning about these things. My parents didn’t understand any of it; as far as they were concerned, money wasn’t any different from lettuce; both were just little bits of green paper. But that didn’t stop me.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen2-1.jpg

And so I studied and studied and studied. I wanted to travel to this real world and try my luck out in it. Knowledge never was my thing, but I knew that if I wanted to enter myself into the business world, then I’d need as much knowledge as I could get. And it paid off, too. When I was 18, I was awarded a scholarship to a college in the city. My parents were a little disappointed that I wasn’t going to go into farming, but they were proud of me all the same. And that was when I first travelled anywhere out of my little country town.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen3-1.jpg

While I was studying, I got my first job. It was in a clothing complex in the big city. I started out as a sales clerk, but as I finished my degree in business and economics, I moved towards the management industry. In my time as a clerk, I made my first income; and I just loved it. But of course, I wanted more. And I knew that the best way to get more cash would be to escalate up the ranks. I studied hard to make sure I got the best degree I could achieve, and once I finished that, I just kept working until I got promoted. I was just so dedicated to that one little thing; CASH!

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen4.jpg

I had been working there for barely two years too, when I suddenly found myself in the Manager’s Office. In charge of what was a pretty big fashion label. I had gone from somebody who had been a mere clerk to somebody who was the one ordering the clerks, and the designers around. And what else? I had gone from a farmer’s daughter to a mega rich woman. And how did I get there? Dedication and Aspiration.

And what now? Have I reached the top of the pile? Oh hell no. There’s still more money in the world that ain’t mine, and I’m going to keep working till I get it. There’s still more, right? There are bigger businesses. Oh, once I get MY company’s profits up even further, I’m going to go into buying even more businesses and putting it up even more. As long as there’s still cash in the world, there’s no stopping me. As for now? Well, I’ll just have to settle for moving out of my little apartment into a mansion on one of them “Rich people” streets.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Karen5.jpg

Yeah, this is my new mansion. I only bought it recently, but Whoo baby, plasma TVs sure are cool. See what you can get with a little money?

I have a sim I've been playing recently who has the dual aspirations of Romance and Knowledge. He is going to become a vampire after college, (He is in the last half of his senior year right now, and BFF with two grand vampires.) and then become a sort of a male Black Widow who just keeps them prisoner rather than killing them. (Unless they manage to get him angry enough to want to see their ghost. Or unless he accidentally starves one.) I don't know if I can actually enter Vladimir, but I do plan to make up at least the written text for him because it would be fun to flesh him out even more than I already have.

So thank you for this contest!!!

Round 1: Kardo Neila

You may find this hard to believe but I was a bit of a nerd growing up. Reading about robots, making robots, thinking about robots... I just didn't have anyone in my life at all expect artificial lifeforms. Hardly the beginning for moi, Lover of Men, Heartbreaker Queen of the Star System...
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_16b5c9ba_d6bb0a75.jpg
But in all tales there is a turning point and mine was a green skinned girl name Leai. She was the sister I always wanted. By the Moons of Krypton, She was the only family I have that gave a tribble's tail about me. Got me to come out of my shell, embrace life.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/Likeasister2.jpg
Too bad she embrace my one true love as well.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/ButIwasbetrayed.jpg
Oh I was so angry. I spoke such ugly words that night. Sadly there was a problem with the warp core on her dad's star ship and that was the end of my family. My friend's last gift to me was I realize life is short, family is a dream and love is a game.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/betrayal.jpg
A game I plan on winning...

There is overlap in the Rounds, so they last longer and as such everybody's real life commitments will (hopefully) not impede on the contest! In this contest, there are no eliminations, but when each round closes it will be judged and you will be PMed as soon as possible with your results.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R1-Jax-1.jpg

Ever since Jax was a small tot of a child, he wanted to get up and touch and see anything that caught his eye. It's possible this need to touch and know up close came from the mobile swinging forever out of his grasp over his crib during infancy. Here, we see that he has climbed up onto a chair in an attempt to see the universe. All those bright shiny circles were so fascinating to him. He wanted to reach out and touch them all.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R1-Jax-2.jpg

Always curious about anything and everything, Jax followed his brother around the ship to see what he could learn. Jackyll (his brother) frequently teased him, "Monkey see, monkey do." But Jackyll was always happy to teach Jax a new skill. Jax discovered that painting was quite fun. And there were so many questions to be asked and answered about where paint came from, how they made it, how do they make paper? What happens when I mix these colors together? "

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R1-Jax-4.jpg

When his Uncle Raven came visiting, Jax had question upon question about life as a pirate on the high seas. He wanted to know it all. Uncle Raven gave him some "hands on" learning about what every good pirate needs to know -- how to dig for or dig up that buried treasure. Raven told Jax he could liken it to "excavating like an archeaologist" if he needed an eductional slant to the activity. Jax looks forward to the day Uncle Raven will take him aboard and teach him all about a sailing ship.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R1-Jax-5.jpg

Jax's curiosity knows no bounds. He'll be the first one to tell you that it's great to gain knowledge from reading books -- as he so loves to do. Now, just look at all this stuff about the ship that one takes for granted. Sure, a book can tell you how it's made and how it works, but Jax discovered there's nothing like first-hand knowledge on how all them little parts come apart and go back together. Since Jax claimed that a good mechanic always has left over parts, he also received some "instruction" in deck swabbing from his father the next time the dishwasher was used.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R1-Jax-6.jpg

Last but not least: THE INTERNET!!! One morning, Jax's father asked him to use the net to find the shortest route from Risa to Alpha Centauri. Jax discovered googling and he was travelling the information highway for life. This was even better than a book! Wow! Anything and everything. He enjoys taking the tidbits he gleans from the net and applying them to life: rewiring amplifiers, making the vacuum suck better, shutting down power grids (oops, you weren't supposed to know about that), and last but not least, how to attract women.

As you can see, Jax has been busy learning all he can about everything he comes across all his life. The one thing he's always wanted to try was searching the skies through a telescope, but his father adamantly says, "NO!"

Jax, here, to give you a quick look-see of my home. Can you see me? This is the Klingon ship I grew up on, we call her "Birdie". We've been docked ever since we rescued my older sister. Pretty big, ain't she?

Here on the bridge, my dad plays captain while me and my bro do all the work. This is the room with the best view of the universe. Just sit behind any console and turn on the big screen and voila!!! stars and planets and comets and asteroids and wormholes as far and further than the eye can see.

Every guy's favorite room: the mess hall. You can really work up an appetite doing all that learning you know.
And you can see my spiffy teenage boy threads. In case you were wondering why I wear this? Well, what else? Loose, baggy, yep, just right for a kid with things to see and things to do. And the next thing for us to see and do is the next room over.

Meet Skippy my pet rock. Ain't he great? I found him while "excavating like an archeaologist" with my uncle. He's a little tired right now or else he'd probably show you how good he can play fetch with his stick.

Let's go down below for another room from my history . . .

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R2-Jax-4.jpg

Here I am in my old school room. My dad did this room up for me when I was a kid since I didn't go to school. He thinks he got it right since he grew up on a ship, too. Ah, the memories. And, someone has cleaned up a bit in here, too. Where's all my old equations? I needed them, yet.

I haven't been down here on this level for ages. I wonder what else there is . . . hmmmmmmmm . . . . what's in this room?

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R2-Jax-5.jpg

Oooh, I wonder what will happen if I push the button? I must find out, I must know.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/R2-Jax-6.jpg

Oh-oh. Don't tell my dad. I think I might have to learn how to tell a fib.

* * * * * *

I just wanted to say that since this is the third or fourth contest this ship is showing up in that I've had the pleasure of participating in, that it is a war class Klingon Bird of Prey by jasonduskey @ mts2 from his Star Trek collection. Trekkies Unite! Live long and Prosper.

Amazingly.. No! :D

I have my round 1 text all done, and my pictures have been taken also, but they do need cropping etc. :) just as a question: Tweaking is OK, yes? I don't regularly, but I thought I could add a smidge (make a picture slightly clearer, for an example) if it's not allowed, then that's Ok (as I said, I never do it normally, and of what I do, it never detracts from the image itself)

Round 2's core text has been written, and that's about it... But I'm off to RTTQ now [that's "relate to the Question"] as I'm crazy for double checking!

You can do both clothes and housing or one or the other. If you do them both, you can split your pictures however you want. You will only get marked down if you don't mention either!

Round 1 : Navee Chelz

When did I find out that I was addicted to grilled cheese? That's a tricky one.. I can't remember where or who was there when the realization dawned on me, but, boy, do I remember the events that led up to it!

It all began when I was back at the care home, when I was up for adoption.
Usually, when you hear the word 'adoption' you think of people going to an animal sanctuary and observing their disfigured inhabitants, gazing uninterestedly at their sad eyes and trying to ignore their whinings of "TAKEMEHOMEPLEASE?" Then there's just the one dog at the very end which barks, growls and stands its ground, as if to say, "I KNOW humans. I know what you're going to do to me." Well, that is really a good way of describing the care homes, but with more cheesy pictures and cheesy staff. And we aren't animals. Unless you were Bert, who was a werewolf, but that's a different story.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152009-r11thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152205-r11.png)

Our home (or "Center" as the employees called it when trying to sound official) wasn't really aimed to care for the paranormal; we just seemed to accumulate them. Me, (the crazy yellow alien, known for drawing on the ceilings of the little ones' rooms), Frankie, (the psychic one) and Bert (who, as I said before, was a werewolf). Frankie and I got on really well. She knew everything I was thinking - which is surprisingly less annoying than it sounds - and we were a perfect match: for pranks, that is.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152119-r12thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152114-r12.png)

One day, we had a cooking contest. Yes, a cooking contest for a group of 5 teens and 2 children. In groups, we had to cook a three course-meal.
Frankie and I paired up, while Bert snatched the hand of one of the "normal" people.
I had never baked anything in my life and as Frankie was the girl, I just assumed she would know, what with her "feminine instincts". At least know how to operate the steel blazing heated furnace. And of course, the BYFOBG processes (or as I like to call it, 'burn-your-face-off-grill'.)
It didn't take long for Frankie to give me a slap assure me that she was as clueless as I was. So, what did we do? What COULD we do? ...Internet search.

We found a site with a web page on baking cakes; you know, the bland, tasteless cakes. The ones that you make when a friend comes to visit and you run out of things to do type of cakes. We made this first - we wanted to get it put out of the way as fast as possible.
Seeing as we were cooking for only two people it didn't really matter that we ate most of the dough before it even got into the oven.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152212-r13thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152235-r13.png)

Next, we decided on a simple (or so we thought) salad starter. You may think making a salad is as easy as getting some lettuce and random other fruit and veg like peppers or tomatoes and sprinkle some magic oil and that's it, salad. You are mistaken. If this was anyone but Frankie and I, then yes, that may be all you need to do. But with no lettuce to be seen, our circumstances looked dire... that's ignoring the other ingredients! We need a shopping trip - and that was against the rules.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152244-r14thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152315-r14.png)

We left everything else until the last day, procrastinating miserably with the poor excuse that our meals would taste better fresh. That didn't seem to be a problem as we only had the main and starter dishes to prepare. But then it hit us; the only meal that we could use as a main dish - disappointingly, my 'Biscuit-a-la-Breadsticks-and-chocolate-spread' special wasn't accepted a real dish, pfft - was a dish called the grilled cheese sandwich, which we had never made before.

Less than two hours to the deadline, and with only two of the three courses down, we struggled to prepare the grilled cheese dish. Frankie decided that she would make it first, and I would try it out.
The first batch.
My first batch.

I stared at what was in front of me pointedly. A piece of bread with smeared with a globule of cheese orange cheese. It didn't look as appetizing as I would see it in the future, but the taste..
You know what they say:
You never forget your first.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152323-r15thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152351-r15.png)

The cheese was stretchy and ricocheted around my tastebuds like some kind of drug. The bread was crispy, but not overdone, and balanced out the moisture in the cheese.
I was in heaven. The rest of the day went to plan, but I paid little attention, numb from the.. the cheesy, cheesy goodness.
My grilled cheese virginity was taken and I instantly started craving more and more. Have done ever since. My mind awakened to the sheer GOD that was a grilled cheese sandwich.. and I'm sure I'll never turn back.
I was shocked, how could anything be this good? On my second, I took care and accuracy, nibbled the crust off first, then went full throttle and dived into the complex and diverse maze of Cheese...

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152601-r16thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090309152557-r16.png)

The love for grilled cheese I had been opened to continued to grow over the years, starting from making one every night for my dinner, to having a plate at every mealtime and now to the obsessive adult I am today.

Round 1
Kaden Emison

Everyone I know acts like choosing their aspiration was some huge, life changing event. Blah, blah, destiny, blah, blah, never be the same, whatever.

The truth is, the day I choose my own aspiration was pretty much the same as any other. I was laying on my couch with a killer hangover when my mom called.

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l229/SimsPhotos3/Phone.jpg

Apparently, my young sister had applied for some huge scholarship to uni, and my mom was all excited about it. "I'm just sure she's going to be a knowledge sim just like her father!" She rambled on and on for what felt like forever, but I totally wasn't listening. That is, until she dropped this fun little one on me, "So... have you even chosen yours yet?"

Great. Now there's all this pressure on me. I tell her I haven't, but I tell her I'll think it over. She's obviously dissapointed, so I actually try to decide.

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l229/SimsPhotos3/Knowledge.jpg

First, I start by pulling a couple books off my roomie's bookshelf. If she's so excited about my sis being a knowledge sim, than maybe I can try out my old man's aspiration.

Turns out, as hard as I'm trying to enjoy this whole "reading" deal, the only thing I've ever read by choice was the swimsuit edition. Well... I guess I didn't really read much.

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l229/SimsPhotos3/Fortune.jpg

So, I move on to maybe being a fortune sim. I mean, money's cool right?

It's halfway through reading (a little more couldn't hurt) the whole economic section of the news that I realize that I'm not motivated OR ambitious. Sure, money is cool, but it's also WORK. Yuch.

I see some people hanging around outside, and then I'm like, "Hey, why not be a Popularity kinda guy?" And then I remembered back in high school, how much I had cared about social status. And how unhappy I was.

So let's just cross Popularity off right now. So instead I went back to work on the next aspiration on the list--Romance.

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l229/SimsPhotos3/Romance.jpg

Well, since it turns out that I have ZERO attractive females in my building, I decide to just make kissy faces and stuff in the mirror.

Again, not my thing. Girls are cool and all, but I just can't get into this whole "caring" what they think thing. I guess I'm not cut out for this either. I'm getting kinda hungry by now so I yank open the fridge and I think,
"Grilled Cheese! Perfect!"

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l229/SimsPhotos3/GrilledCheese.jpg

...But then I remember how I hate grilled cheese. And that crazy ex girlfriend of mine who was that aspiration. It makes me twitch just remembering.

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l229/SimsPhotos3/Sleepy.jpg

So I just go lay on the couch to mope about it, and I actually fall asleep right after I decide against being a family sim. (I don't even like kids that much. Plus my family is way annoying)

And then I wake up about two hours later and it's just,

"DUH! I'll be a pleasure sim! It's all about fun!" And then I didn't have much time to think about it, because I heard there was a party going on down the street.

So there it is. My life-changing decision, which didn't really change anything at all.

grace fertelli round 2
As you probably know (since I wrote a small essay telling you about it) I love books! Writing them, reading them, selling them, they are a huge piece of my life. Something i didn’t tell you though, is that , well for the past few years the literary scholar in me has taken a back seat. A back seat to the scientist in me... well you know us knowledge Sims never happy with just the “ordinary” in life are we.

My home
My house has to be the thing that started me off, you see it isn’t really a house as such it’s a genetic testing company...or at least it was before I renovated it. It wasn’t for sale initially but something in me just couldn’t see it bulldozed, and well my novels did leave me with a lil bit o’ money.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround21.jpg

Well here she is my home or lily as I call her. I named her after my grandma (I’m hoping she’d have seen that as a compliment) and I’ve lived here for around 4 years now. When people see my house they are usually.... well a little shocked to say the least. My appearance, my love of knowledge, it kind of gives the impression, I live in a Victorian manor home, and spend my days drinking tea while reading in my two story library. As you can see however that fact is rather false. My home and its furnishings, their really...well as you can see polar opposites to my stereotype.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround22.jpg

Here we have my kitchen, probably my least favourite room in the house, not because i don’t like cooking. Just that well it feels a little empty to me, too sterile, I like my rooms with a little geekery to them a little pizzazz, and my kitchen still has a little of the science lab feel to it, I can see people parts in jars every time I reach for the gherkins.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround23.jpg

Here we have my living area, a place I’m rather fond of, although it looks like IKEA threw up on it. It’s just perfect for me, it’s got that little something that makes it different and well the telly isn’t bad for gaming either.

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround24.jpg

Last on our tour (last normal room anyway) is my bedroom, my favourite room by far and the place you’ll usually find me (and Darwin) residing. My room is my sanctuary, it houses my favourite books my violin and of course my writing desk. There isn’t much to say about my room just that it is fantastique!
After this your probably wondering how my house started my scientific inspiration, to be honest i don’t think you’ll even believe me but I’m going to tell you anyway.

As i said before my home was once a genetic testing company and the owner was rather reluctant to sell it even though it was just being bulldozed, well about 3 months into my renovation i found out why.
Genethisis corps was rather well known in belladonna cove, it had been there since the 50’s and was one of the biggest employers in town. The scientists there however where rather secretive, leading to many investigations, but nothing was ever found and they carried on manufacturing drugs and dabbling in cloning.

The year I bought the house the company had closed without warning and the owner had completely vanished from the grid, most people (including me) thought it had something to do with money laundering or chemical sales to the wrong people, but during my renovation I found out Their little secret. Behind (my now bathroom) wall there was a secret room, a room no bigger than a small bedroom but a room decked out in the latest scientifical equipment ,stacked to the brim with files books and computer records on things seriously out of this world. Myself, i think they left the records on purpose maybe for me to find, and well the stuff in them isn’t the kind of thing you can leave off (well I couldn’t anyway) :D

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround25.jpg

(i took one of my six pics to make two pet pics if thats not ok I’ll change it )

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround2pet1.jpg

http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r172/lozzawozzaere/aspround2pet2.jpg
Oops i almost forgot, my pets! Here we have my kitties Shakespeare (ginger) and Darwin (black) I tried to get them together for a photo, but well Shakespeare isn’t the nicest of kitties and that mixed with Darwin’s cowardice doesn’t bode well. Shakespeare I’ve had for almost 8 years now he never really “loved” in the traditional sense but on the rare occasions I did see him he’d always have a “present “ for me *laughs*.Darwin however I got only a few weeks ago he is continuously attached to my leg and is the dumbest sweetest lil thing you’ve ever seen.

Round 1: Annalise Thompson

You know, I wasn't always so family centric. When I was younger, I decided that I wanted to be that pretty girl in high school that had too many boyfriends and romance coming out of her ears. When it came time for me to start thinking about my future, I put my foot down and decided. I was going to be the most romantic girl on the face of SimEarth.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1failpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1fail.png)
It didn't work out so well.

I floundered through high school, more like half-empty than half-full, and managed to make it to college. Around that time, my baby sister Bethany was born. I had always convinced myself that I didn't want kids when I was younger, but who could blame me? I had a big, rowdy family growing up. Having two goofy parents is embarrassing enough, but an older brother and a little sister in close age proximity was more than I could stand. At least then, it was. I've since learned the errors of my ways, and we're closer than ever.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1crazypreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1crazy.png)

As Bethany got older, and I got to know her, I ended up spending more and more time at home. I was homesick anyways; I missed the noise and the warmth of a happy home instead of my boring dorm. My parents were eager to have me, and sent me out to play with Bethany when I had time off.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1playpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1play.png)

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1play2preview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1play2.png)

It was around the end of the first term of junior year, and Bethany's fifth birthday, that I knew I was sunk. I had just fallen in love with the concept of family all over again! I gave up my sinking dreams of becoming a female Casanova, and went where my heart lead me.

I'm still interested in romance, especially now that I've stopped being grossed out by my affectionate parents. They've been in love for so long it's amazing, and I hope one day I'll get even a fraction of what they have. My dad came to SimEarth on a research trip, and my mother was part of the team assisting him. The rest of his team went back to their planet, but he stayed. I still think it's the most romantic thing in the world.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1kissypreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round1kissy.png)

bleh. I'm still not happy with the last picture, but I wanted to finish this round and get started on the next! Also, apparently this entry is all about split screens-- I'm sorry. XDD;

So we know your Sim's aspiration, and how their house/clothes look... but how does it affect how they live their life?

This round we follow your Sim for a day (or a weekend) and you show us, via pictures and text, how their aspiration affects their choices. Does your Fortune Sim spend his Saturday nights hustling pool at the local bar or does your Family Sim get stuck babysitting their brother?

You can do this round in first or third person. The idea is to show a normal day/weekend (unless something irregular happens!)

Required:
~ 4-6 pictures of your Sim's day/weekend
~ All pictures shoud be annonated.

Optional:
~ None.

EDIT; I've just set up my pc (aka not this one) and my sims have been removed, as have my downloads. :'(. I'm afraid i'm going to have to drop out, I wish I didn't as i'm having heaps of fun doing this. :'( I'm really really really sorry!

Round 2: Kardo Neila
Romance

Hmmm, so you want to know what I, Kardo Neila love around the house. Lets see...
I recently moved and I have really enjoy this cute little hammock I put up outside.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/ScreenShot002.jpg
Lets just say I am a lucky girl that those palm trees can't talk.

I also have my very own hot tub that is just a godsend. Great for easing those tired muscles, socializing and seeing if your new boy toy robot is waterproof. ( He is.*smile*)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/ScreenShot001.jpg

This is the living room. I divide it into two seperate areas, work area ( the desk hiding behind the divider and social areas ( fancy love seat and bar) I adored that loveseat. I don't want guests confused about why they are over at my house.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_76c6d4b4.jpg

My favorite room would be the bedroom. I don't think that there is no surprise there. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_d6c8227c.jpg

and here is a picture of my newest sweetheart Romeo. Isn't he a sweetie?

Round 3: Kardo Neila
Romance

So you probably have a firm idea how I spend my nights off but I know how the fab Kardo Neila, Heartbreaker of the Stars spends her days? Well just come along with me on an average day.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_f6caf197.jpg
Here I am spinning those records, round round like a record baby... sorry that song has been requested alot...Where was I? After my shift I like to meet friends at a local coffee house. It is the best morning pick me up.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_36cafe23.jpg

It has some good coffee too. Then just to show you that even Kardo Neila 's life isn't just fun in the hot tub, bed, hammock, etc.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_76cb0244.jpg

LOOK AT WHAT THEY DID TO ME!!! I will never again go to Stan's Discount House of Beauty. I had to go home and scrub that gunk off. It was a pity cause I have so much to do still. Like grocery shopping... I needed some melons.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_16cafa11.jpg

and then I had in my mechanic's face about why she hadn't repaired my car yet. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_d6c2e8d7_56cb0713.jpg

And that is just a tiny bit of the pain and suffering I have to put up with to be the Fab Kardo Neila, Beloved in the Universe!

So we know what your Sim does during an average day, but what do they have planned for the future? Is it a simple as settling down and having a family or do they want to be an Ecological Guru?

This round shoud be present in two halves; a first person section in the present where your Sim tells us their dreams/hopes for the future (you could show a Sim writing in the diary, for example) and a second section in the future, from either the first or third person viewpoint.

Required:
~ 1-2 pictures in the present day, with annotations, of your Sim telling us their hopes and dreams.
~ 3-5 pictures of your Sim in the future, with annotations, through either first of third person.
~ All pictures should be annotated.

Optional:
~ One picture of your Sim's death, whether this be of old age or other! This picture is not included in the picture count form the required section.

These are the latest (and hopefully final) round timings:

Application- Started February 23rd, Finished March 9th
Round 1 - Started February 28th, Finished March 14th

Round 2 - Started March 6th, Finishes March 25th
Round 3 - Started March 13th, Finishes March 27th
Round 4 - Starts March 20th, Finishes March 30th

These are the longest times I can fit in, and hopefully you'll find these times Ok... it sadly means that you might not get your feedback in time to use in the further rounds. I wish we could have more than 5 weeks to run this contest, I know it's difficult to make entries with all the real life stuff we have going on!

Round 2
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/room1.jpg

When it comes to just being casual, or even organizing the most of my house, I generally have one motto “Simply Sophisticated”. I like to keep the way I dress simple; and I like strong bright colors like black and white. Now, what does this have to do with cash exactly? Well, these types of things are expensive. I know, when I say “Expensive Clothing/Furniture” you’d probably be thinking bright pink flowing curtains and tiaras and spangled frilly dresses. Well yes, that stuff is expensive, but it also gives the impression of a spoilt brat. I want people to know that I actually work for money and am passionate about it. I don’t take it for granted, unlike all those pink princesses. I also go to work wearing work clothes . This way, people actually know I’m a CEO who is a hard worker, and has a lot of cash. Above you can see the typical room in my house. Sure, it’s a bit pink, but it’s simple and not full of frills. I keep pianos, bookshelves, certificates, that sort of thing in my rooms to show how much of a successful person I am. I like to give the right impressions.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Clothes1.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Clothes2.jpg

On the left is a picture of the outfit I would typically wear casually and on the left is something I would wear to work.

But of course, this doesn’t mean I’m always like that. When I go to fancy parties, or decorate my office, I do buy the things which people know are just so expensive. Such as gold, and antiques. It’s funny, antiques are so old, but they’re worth millions. And they also give the impression I know my stuff. My study, for example, looks like this;

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Room2.jpg

It’s a simple room with old fashioned furniture, probably the least modern in my house. But even with the simple yet expensive stuff in the room, the price of this room beats all that put together. People just come in and will be all “How rich are you?”. Well, that is, if they haven’t already got the hint from the size of my house.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/Clothes3.jpg

This would be the typical thing I would wear to a party. Expensive, yes. Once again, more expensive than the rest put together. Why do I put more effort into this? When I’m competing with the rich, aka, the people also invited to these parties, I do need to stand out. I need to prove to them that I’m the richest of the lot. When it comes to comparing with normal people, I don’t need to go so overboard. I just need to show them that I’m pretty well off, but still have a level head. I’m so passionate about my money, I don’t want its reputation to be tarnished. That’s why I need to prove it’s something I earn, not some the fortunate merely end up with. Because I’m not really fortunate. I’m passionate.

[[I'm sorry the pictures suck. I had no time really. I could get ingame for like half an hour at most this week and that's why they aren't as good as last time. But I tried DX''. Sorry guys :B]]

Round 2

My home life? Oh.. It's not that interesting..

Well, if I must..
I live in a big mansion on the top of a great hill surrounded by trees. I wear fancy cloths by designer labels only, suits are common wear for me. The mansion has lots of windows, and four butlers, and some fountains, and walkways, and shrubby trees and plants, and a soft stream in the back, and some 300 spacious rooms which are never occupied all at once. I also have a wife who has chocolaty brown hair, 5" 8', "normal" size and shape, and we have two beautiful kids who take after her, we have her parents come round every weekend for the delicious and perfect Sunday roast, cooked by our chef "Moinsure de la Fretavik" and he cooks grilled cheese for me instead.
I'm filthy rich, It all just accumulated to me as I went into business, buying and selling shares in cheese and bread firms.. And made profits.. And I go on holidays to Twikki island and stay in luxurious hotels and have been to the far east, and even the north pole, and have been asked to go into space and...

Original "Unedited" Pic (http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/30b482f0.png)

~*~

Ok.
I'll admit it.
I don't live like that. The truth is; after I left the Center, I couldn't find a job, as no-one would take me, due to my day-to-day habits, it's an addiction of the mind, as well as a physical necessary. I wasn't able to get anywhere to live, so I found a plot of land and built a shed out of metal and plastic onto it, giving me shelter. My home is tiny, not spacious. I accumulated rats, and scrap parts for cars, not money. I have no children, and not even a lover, let alone a wife.
I live a lonely life, here in my shed, but Its a life full of my needs; so what's wrong with that? Isn't that just why we are here anyway?

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/1thumbs-1.jpg (http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/1.png)

My shack consists of three or so rooms. A bed area, a hallway/Kitchen/ Eating area, and another room for washing up.
The bedroom is quite small, and I found the bed from an old hospital about to be knocked down, they said I could have it, so here it is! It's much more comfy than the ground, but somehow The ground manages to retain heat better. Maybe it was because I dug a hole and barricaded myself in? Those were the really bad days..

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/2thumbs-1.jpg (http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/2.png)

Really, I wear mostly the same things as when I was a teenager, it's amazing what you can do to cloths to make them stretch. I try still to look my best on occasions, I try not to stink too.

My kitchen is surprisingly modern, don't-cha-think?! I got these surfaces and oven at an auction last summer, When I had some money from the center given to me. They still send messages and post to me, asking if I Will come back, and maybe help out in return for living in their quarters, but I am done with them. My home may be cold, but it is never colder than their outstretched corridors, and it may get dark when the street lights go off, so I have no power (I was connected by a friend I met at the swimming center, I think he's called Pete), but it was always darker back there, in the prison that held back my childhood and dreams. God help the ones who are taken from their horrid parents to be stuck with Treacherous and Horrific minders instead.
My dining area is quite simple really, table, Outdoor chair(s), the usual, and what you would expect.

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/3thumbs-1.jpg (http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/3.png)

I play the violin, in my free time. That is how I manage to get by; busking. I live at an area not too far from the center of town, so I can walk to it in less than 20 minutes to play, plus people walk past here often, (I worked out that the best time for people to give you money is just after their lunch, when they have change) So I can also collect from my doorstep.

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/4thumbs-1.jpg (http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/4.png)

Outside is.. Overgrown. To say the least. I found this hot tub/car at the scrapheap a year or so ago, and it's worked ever since, amazingly. The main car is dead, but the battery isn't!
Occasionally, I work on this scrap car here, transferring parts across from the pickup, but most of them refuse to work or fit together. A man came the other day and asked about it, and if I could fix it up, then he'd give me twice what it was worth, I could maybe even get a car of my own and clean up my shack.. Create a real home.. But I haven't seen him again.

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/5thumbs-1.jpg (http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w203/Jackadoodledo/Contets/5.png)

I hope you liked this introduction to the way I live, It's maybe not the most glamorous life, but it works round me, and that's why I love it and live here, daft as it seems!
I often wonder if my life would be better, or "ideal" if I lived in that mansion on the hill, with all the windows and chefs, if it would ever get boring...?

I'm not really all that into fashion or design, to tell you the truth. I like comfortable things, and things that remind me of home. I still insist that you can never go wrong with a good cardigan.

When I was younger though, and still looking for love in every wrong place imaginable, I was a little... well, I won't beat around the bush.
http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2clothespreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2clothes.png)
I was kind of a skank, to tell you the truth. But that's all changed now. I mean, it's not like I had a lot to show off, anyways.

I moved into my cute little three room apartment three months ago, and I still haven't unpacked all the way yet-- but it's already starting to feel a little like home.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2livingroompreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2livingroom.png)

Like my living room! That couch is from my parent's first house, they said I could have it for good luck. How corny is that? I do most of my best thinking here, partly because I have no television as of yet. I don't really miss it, I've gotten to catch up a lot on my reading!

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2featherbottompreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2featherbottom.png)

By the way, that big white ball of feathers is Mr. Charles Featherbottom. My sister Bethany named him; I just call him Chuck. He was bought for me on my return from college, and unfortunately he speaks nothing but Spanish swear words. My vocabulary has increased exponentially, but my poor landlady is mortified every time she comes to collect the rent.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2deskpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2desk.png)

This is where I spend most my time, when I'm not sleeping. I've had this cheap Pottery Barn desk since I was a teen, and I'm not gonna part with it. I do my best research and writing here. Call me superstitious, but I swear it's true.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2bedroompreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round2bedroom.png)

This is my bedroom. It doesn't get much traffic.

Romance

So you have come to me Kardo Neila to learn my secrets on the woohoo? Well you have to do.. what? You want to learn about my hopes and dreams for the future? ... You want me to hook you up with a " friend" instead? It could be fun... No. Ok. What do I want from the future?

I guess I want what any Sim wants, a husband and a family.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/firstshot.jpg
Ha Ha! I fool you. Oh you should have seen your face? So priceless. Pretty good joke right? Right now I would like to get off your world. That is my number one goal. I mean your world is all right but the loving up there is just too much!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/picture.jpg

Let us step into the time machine and now see how Kardo Neila's life turn out. Lets go fellow space cadets!

Kardo Neila's dream of returning home came true. Here she is on a space station as a professional party guest. Remember Parties are even better in zero g.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/secondshot.jpg

Here is Kardo at the Love Games on Risa 4. She got the Silver. She lost out to the fellow with the tenacles. You just can't beat tenacles but as you can see Kardo knows if you can't beat them, make out with them.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_36d59673_d6d597a2.jpg

Into every Sim life, the hair turns to silver, body stoops over and know it is time to take things slower... but not if you are Kardo. She is heart breaker even in the Old Alien's Home on Earth 3.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/hottie3.jpg

And how does it all end? Kardo went on a walk and saw this fellow out by himself. She had noticed him once or twice at the Old Alien's Home so she went forward to put on the moves.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y245/Modya/sims%202/contests/snapshot_76d59326_d6d594a6.jpg

Then suddenly Kardo Neila return to the land of the living in the form of a downtownie, much to the delight of woohoo obsessed sims everywhere.

I had a hard time coming up with something for this round. Basically, all teenage Sims really do towards a knowledge aspiration is go to school and get skill points. So, that's how Jax spends his time in this round . . .

Friday morning . . .

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R3-C1.jpg

"This yard is full of holes from you playing archeaologist, everything you get your hands on gets taken apart, you rewired everything to the point I was scared to flip a switch to see what would happen, it's always why, what, how, how , how, and to top it all off you blew up the ship!!!!"

"But, Dad, I just wanted to know what would happen if I pushed the button."

"Well, it looks like you pushed my buttons one time too many."

"But, Dad, I'm soooorrrrry. I never meant for that to happen. I couldn't help myself. It was there and I wanted to learn about it."

"You'll be learning in the near future all right."

"What do you mean by that, Dad?"

"Here comes the bus. Just get on it and get to school. You can learn all about it after school."

"Learn what? You're not sending me to miliary school are you Dad? You know I'm really, really, truly sorry I blew up the ship. I promise never to do anyting so dumb again! Please, please, don't send me to military school. What are you gonna do to me, Dad?"

"It's a surprise. On the bus with you."

"I love you Dad," Jax whined as he hopped on the bus. He spent his whole school day blowing his lessons and worrying about what his dad had planned.

When school got out for the weekend, Jax came home to find his Dad ready and waiting with a packed car. They got in and the trip was on. They drove for a few hours before reaching the "surprise".

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R3-3.jpg

"Where are we, Dad? We've never been here before."

"Just a lagoon me and your uncle found when we were kids."

"Well . . . it looks like a nice spot for a picnic. Where's the cooler, Dad? I'm hungry. Hey, look! There's an elephant over there."

"Never mind the elephant. There's no cooler. And, if you're hungry, time to learn how to fend for yourself."

"What do you mean, Dad?"

"Jax, my boy, all your life you've had machines to do everything for you. Now, it's time to learn how to do it yourself. So, if you're hungry and I'm hungry, then I guess it's time I teach you how to hook a worm and catch your dinner. I know how much you love learning new things."

It took Jax a few tries to get that squiggly little worm onto a hook, but before long he was fishing like a pro. He was quite proud of himself for gaining a new skill and a full belly.

As they settled in for the night, Jax's dad lowered the boom. They'd be living there for awhile. What was left of Birdie had been sent to the salvage yard. Jax was a little unsure of what the near future would be like, but he figured if his dad could grow up on a pirate ship, he could handle living at a lagoon for a bit.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R3-2.jpg

Over the course of the next two days, Jax peppered his father with a zillion questions about everything around them, gaining new skills that can only be found out of doors the whole time.

"Hey, Dad, aren't these those plants you can use for healing cuts and burns? They look like the ones I saw on an alternative medicine site on the net. And those flowers over there look like some I saw on it, too. I wish we had the net out here so I could check."

"You can live without the net for a few days, Jax. But speaking of the net, you did spend a lot of time on those health sites, didn't you?"

"Yeah, Dad. I was thinking of becoming a doctor, maybe."

"Hmmmmmmm . . . . well . . . . that's good to know."

"I'm not liking the way you said that, Dad."

Jackdaw just chuckled to himself, sat back and started making daisy chains out of the flowers around them. Every now and then he looked up to watch Jax crawling around investigating all the flora, smiling to himself as he did so.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R3-4.jpg

Sunday's highlight was learning how to ride an elephant. After a couple of days in their presence, the old boy had gotten used to Jax and his father and was rather amiable to strolling them about letting them think they were in control.

While up high on the elephant, Jax thought he saw something shining over in some distant bushes. Curious, he mentioned it to his dad and asked if they could go check it out. 'Learn' what's over there.

"Nope."

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R3-5.jpg

Sunday evening comes to find Jax and his father settling down on their slabs for a good night's sleep -- or whatever kind of night's sleep one would find on a rock. They had their nightly round of constellation counting before chatting about all the things they'd done that day. Jax was quite happy with all the new skills he'd gained so far over the weekend. Imagine! Riding an elephant will improve your body -- wow!!!

"Hey, Dad, you taught me all this new stuff, but I think you're forgetting something."

"What?" Jackdaw asked wearily.

"Aren't we going to have The Talk?" Jax asked trying not to snicker too much.

Jax's father rolled his eyes, laid back with his arms under his head saying, "There are birds. There are bees . . . "

"Awwww, Daddddd. C'mon."

Well, Jax did learn about the birds and the bees from his father that night. And, needless to say, a whole lot more as anyone familiar with his father would know.

" . . . and just remember to have some really expensive stuff wrapped up in a gift box in hand while you're saying you're sorry . . . "

(Snore, snore, snore)

Jax looked over and saw that his father had fallen asleep mid-sentence.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R3-6.jpg

Jax was too keyed up to sleep. His mind kept wandering aimlessly through all the new discoveries he'd made that day -- especially to whatever was shining in those bushes his dad kept steering him away from all day. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to know what was over there. He quietly got up off his nice cozy slab of rock and silently made his way to the bushes. Looking over his shoulder every few seconds to make sure his dad didn't wake up and catch him sneaking off.

Wow, Dad's old telescope. Jax was thinking to himself as he became immersed in a bright light.

"OH, NO!!! DAD!!! DAD!!! DA-DA-DADDIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

The next morning, Jax woke up to the soothing feel of the cool cloth his father was smoothing over his forehead.

"Dad, I just had the worst nightmare. I dreamt I found a telescope and aliens came and took me on their ship and . . . "

"Shhhh, shhh," his father said as he softly pushed Jax's hair out of his face. "It was no nightmare. And I'm sorry. I should've gotten rid of that thing long ago."

"It wasn't a dream?"

"No. No dream. I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. The car's packed. We're leaving."

As Jackdaw helped him up, Jax saw the telescope laying in pieces on the ground. They got in the car. Jax looked over at his father and asked, "Now what, Dad?"

Jax's father turned towards him, bent over kissed him on the cheek, turned back to the wheel, turned the key and put the car into gear before saying, "Life awaits, my son. Life awaits."

They drove off.

Round 3

Yesterday was the third of January, and there was still loads of snow on the ground.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329074347-1%20-c%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329072408-1%20-c.png)

-Original, Un-revised, Pic (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090328040158-1.png)-

I woke up freezing cold, and I saw the misty air of mine rise up as I breathed. First order of business was to get myself warm, so I looked in the wardrobe for multiple layers. I pulled on some thermals (I was really that cold) as well as a pair of thick trousers, a large tee, jumper and a coat.

Next; I went into the kitchen, and without a single thought, made myself some grilled cheese.
The whole house was freezing cold, the snow must have been ouching the walls still; there has been no warm weather for awhile, so I continued to wear my Jacket even though I was indoors.
I couldn't use the cooker today, as the gas was still off. After a selection of about four grilled cheeses, I wanted to experiment; so I used different cheeses; simple Cheddar is great for lasting and repetitive values, whereas more luxury cheeses like "Edam" or "Gonzola" are great "one-offs", they fill you up too.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090328040202-2thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090328040928-2.png)

After I checked the time (it was 11:30) I saw that (as it was Tuesday) it was time for me to make my journey towards the town center for my busking job.

When in town, I realized that there was no one to be seen, somehow it must be a late lunch and that they would be out later than usual. I took this time to tune up my violin and check that it was all in working order. I was ready.

It took just over twenty minutes for the rush to begin, people weren't that generous to begin with, but as the lunchtime period went on, I received more and more tips.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329074357-3%20-c%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329072501-3%20-c.png)

I noticed one guy hanging around for awhile, and after everyone had disappeared (back to their mundane jobs) he approached me
"you have a really nice violin, and your very talented at playing it..." he paused and gave me a smile, looking down at the violin and hummed a tune which seemed familiar to what I was just playing (I Improvise all of my music; I always have)
"May I interest you in... a membership to our exclusive hobby club?" he handed over a small leaflet, with the words "Secret Musical Club, invitation only" on the front. It was Bright Yellow and Red, and had many decals on it (I guessed that these were added so it was hard to fake-photocopy it, But it also looked nice as a decoration)
"why, why thank you! That is very kind of you!" I smiled as I took the leaflet and flicked through rather excitedly, no one had ever commented on my playing before.
But When I looked up, he had disappeared; he must have gone while I was reading the leaflet.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329074401-4%20-c%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329072613-4%20-c.png)

After this, I packed up my stuff and left. I was craving come Grilled Cheese and I realized that no one was going to give me tips on a cold winters day like this; they would all be in work or (the lucky ones) at home, keeping warm. Leaving my "usual" area, its a few lanes from the park, I took a short-cut in a department store, picking up some matches (Yes, I did pay for them, I never steal) and got home extra quickly.
Once inside my shack I placed some wood from last autumn (I get paid to tend the Town park at late summer time, when its most being used, which is a stable income) on my "fireplace" (Really, Its just a Toxic Waste Bin which I found in the old swimming pool - it was closed as children used to wee themselves in it when they were having so much fun and was classed "Unhygienic" by the local councils. Now it has just become a dumping ground for things you can't be bothered to recycle or pay to be deposited anywhere, and no one really remembers where it is.) The fire always gives a Blue colour when I light it, which is nice.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329074413-5%20-c%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329072639-5%20-c.png)

Later, when I was all warm, I didn't think anything of the strange man. I snuggled up on the sofa and made myself a nice round of grilled cheese sandwiches, using cheddar, and had around 7.. or was it 8?

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090328041259-6thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090328041409-6.png)

That evening was spent unproductively. Although, I did start a few Grilled Cheese paintings (I saw in a shop that local art was selling high, and as people are starting to like this "abstract" stuff, even one who can't paint has a chance, I think....? I have painted once on some card before, this was awhile ago mind, and thats up in my Bedroom, but I guess practice makes perfect.

I didn't think much about the occurrence with that strange man till today, when I woke up..

Today was definitely not a normal day.

My alarm clock broke, first of all, and I got up an hour later than I wanted to. Thankfully my shift started a little later, because I was working extra hours. (My mom's birthday is coming up and I want to get her something good.)

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3workpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3work.png)

I work at this goofy tiki-themed coffee house, called Big Kahuna's, and it's a lot of fun, usually. I've graduated from stockroom duty to being out on the deck and making drinks. Hopefully I'll be promoted to cashier work soon (that's where the big bucks are), but hopefully I'll be in a real journalist's job instead of just working freelance.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3lespreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3les.png)

I guess the real reason I haven't up and left already and put myself out into the journalism world is Leslie. He's a boy who's on the lunch shifts, too, and we all just call him Les, but I think I really like him. He's funny and kind and not to mention freaking gorgeous, and he always makes me laugh.

But I digress. I made it to work on time, barely, and Les was there. We talked and bantered and did normal silly stuff, but when it was time to pack up and go home he stopped me.
"Hey, 'Lise?" he asked, "Do you wanna go, um, grab some lunch or something?"
If I hadn't been so nervous that my mouth glued shut, I would have screamed "Yes!". But instead I just nodded like a bobblehead.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3lunchpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3lunch.png)
We went to this really cute 50's themed diner, and I had so much fun! He told me about his family (he's an only child), and how he's really only working that job so that he can pay for college. He's going back to get his degree in Natural Science, because he wants to know everything he can about the world. How great is that? *sigh* Thankfully I got it in my head to talk too, and he seemed like he really wanted to know about me, too.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3handspreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3hands.png)

And get this, he offered to walk me back to my car! The diner was close to Big Kahuna's, so we just walked, but I had parked a half a block away. How sweet is that? When we got there, it was a little awkward. Okay, a lot awkward. But I hadn't been on a date I actually enjoyed in so long, I literally had no idea what to do. I ended up just giving him a friendly hug, and when I moved to go back into my car, he grabbed my hand and said "Hold on." I spun around, and our faces moved closer, and then...

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3getuppreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3getup.png)

I woke up.

No, I'm just joshin' you. But you should have seen the look on your face! To tell you the truth, I thought I was dreaming, too.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3kissypreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round3kissy.png)

He kissed me! On the mouth and everything, like he meant it! I still blush when I think about it. He said goodbye after that, and I stumbled into my car and drove home. He gave me his phone number, and I have no idea what I should do with it. Should I call him, should I not? Maybe I'll just wait a day...

"Hi! Welcome to the 'Dicky Miller' show, I'm your host: Dick! This week we have been looking at the local residents of Depthon and their crazy personalities!
Today on the show, we have Navee, a young adult with a passion for Grilled Cheese and an inspiring talent for music!
So, Navee, we've already talked about your past, for those who missed it, all this week's interviews are on Podcasts at our website, let's talk about your future!"

"Well Dick... Never do I wake up and think about the same thing, to be truthful; I live in the now. I don't like to dwell on my life at the moment, I'm not one to be depressed."

"Oh, that's sad to hear. We heard about your living accommodation, recently you've had more funds due to your sponsors at 'Music!Fest. Live', has that helped?"

"Oh, tremendously!
At the moment, if I really do have a seriously think about what I do want to achieve in my life to come, I can't see much change. Of course, I would love to live in a large house with the windows like I said before, but that's just my imagination and not what's possible for me. However, when I think of the things that could be done to the shack without major financing problems, there are a few things..."

"Go for it! To our listeners, we have pictures in our gallery for anyone like Pascal; curious!"

"Firstly, it would be nice to have some proper flooring added to the place. I mean, I have seen cheap laminated flooring which could be used for the kitchen and Washing area, that will be first I think. If funds dramatically shoot up, I could also get a piece of carpet for my bedroom, the hallway and the lounge. It would be quite expensive for all both however, so the kitchen would come first."

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329154211-1%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329154204-1.png)

"What about heating, do you have a problem with that?"

"Yea, I do. Most warm air escapes outside. Insulation is expensive. It would be handy to have some - not that I don't have any, I do have some wood paneling in certain areas, but they are beginning to rot... another problem."

"Ok, but what if you let your mind run wild, what then?"

"I.. I, err... I've always wondered what it would be like to have my own restaurant... It would be good fun to be taking people's orders and ordering people about, training employees to cook grilled cheese perfectly.. I thought "Chelz' Café" sounded good as a name.
I have a large imagination when I let it wander. I do try to think practically though, it's easier that way."

http://www.modyourpanties.com/hosting/6929_0903291542142 thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090329154211-2.png)

"I would come in for a bite!" he laughed. "Oh! Look at the time, I'm going to play some music soon, but unfortunately, our interview is coming to a close!"

"well thanks for having me on the show. Twice!"

"No problem Navee, see you in that café in the future!
Tomorrow We will be talking to one of Depthon's biggest stars; Carrie Teefull - the fame, the glamor and the brother! Only with D-P-Radio! Coming up next is "Fla-La-Pa" by "the Llama Maloovies"!

I just didn't want a reader to have to spend AGES reading it all in one go, and if they were in separate posts, it would help differentiate them (as well as the Tenses *woot!* for 3rd person! )

"Daddy, can you tell me about when you were younger?"
"well, when I was younger I didn't think I would have a family"
"you always say that, Daddy! What WAS your life like back then?"

Back then, I lived in a different house without a job, busking for money. I lived in a shack, until one snowy day someone came up to me and invited me to play in an exclusive club. I was "spotted" as they say and was influenced to play at many cafés and even got some cash in my pocket.

Much has changed since then; my Café owning dreams were taken over by my Music and Grilled cheese lifestyle; Violin, Cheese, Rock and Roll in my case.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151825-1%20b%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151133-1%20b.png)

I met the love of my life, Freeda, when I was traveling. She loved my music and she is beautiful. Her skin is tanned, her hair is black, and her eyes are a sea blue colour that begged for a song or poem, but had to settle for an art canvas to portray instead. That canvas is still in my room to be true, it's amazing how it's lasted, but that's what happens with gifts, they stick forever.
I am also the founder of a beautiful girl, Penelope. She has light green eyes which are full in the middle, like mine, but she has a white eye. She has a slightly lighter shade of skin to her mothers too, so I presume my Genes are Recessive and so some of them only show through things like Birthmarks or maybe her eyes will go darker when she is older.. I don't know.
Me and "P" have lots of fun together, she loves to do things like swim, and we always have a day in the week when we go somewhere or make something.
She's very creative and I set her up with a little flute a year ago. She's not amazing, but she's enthusiastic! I know P is a little tomboy, she gets into fights at school, but she's my little girl, and I love her like always.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151831-2%20b%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151109-2%20b.png)

I live in a nice, normal, HOME nowadays, for the three of us.
I moved out of the shack years ago, and now live further away from The center of Depthon.
One of the amazing things about my new home is the WINDOWS! the views you can get from them, and everything is just so much brighter!I love my room, it is large and even has an "en-suite". My bed is opposite the gigantic window and I look out almost every morning to the forest and the town below.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151839-3%20b%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151316-3%20b.png)

At the moment, I am a house-Husband, with jobs on the side! Freeda loves to work, it gives her a "buzz", whereas I like to spend my days eating and painting cheese, so it evens out! At 4 P finishes school, so I go to collect her at around 3:50, as it only takes me 7 or so minutes to get there. Sometimes Freeda is late back, she can have meetings till around 8, so it's nice to not need a Nanny or anyone Babysit.
We do have a maid, but she only comes on a Monday. The rest I do myself.

People ask me if I get bored. he No, I don't really.
At times, I AM left with needing of things to do, it can be said, however, this doesn't last for long. I am always striving to become better at my violin and composing, and my paintings are never perfect and I always like to improve!

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151844-4%20b%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151400-4%20b.png)

When my wife ISN'T working, or preparing for work; she is a teacher at the local secondary school, teaching English and Maths, me and Freeda love to go to the park.
The love in our relationship is amazingly strong, even though we have an 8-year-old child our passion for each other has not dropped. This could be because we never tied the knot in our marriage. I proposed to her one autumn evening. There we were in the park, I hummed a note and she improvised a tune; her voice is magnificent, she got Grade8 in singing when she was at school in 6th Form, but she never shows it.
When she had finished, I sat her down on a bench and got down on one knee.
Now, we go to the park every other weekend, or every week.

http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151850-5%20b%20thumbs.jpg (http://www.modyourpanties.com/images/090330151455-5%20b.png)

I really never did expect to have the life that I have, The experiences, the tales to tell, the family I gained which I longed to have as a child..

"Dad?"
"In time you will know, in time!" I smiled at P, and scuffled her hair, and continued helping her with her Homework.

~

He looked around him, and at all his possessions in that room.
He saw his cherished family pictures; They were his stone iron-blocks in life, his support. He saw on the Desk a photo album. Recalling what pictures were inside he remembered that those were the "Prototype- development pictures" of his stunning and handsome children, two, who were now fully grown and living away, From when they were 4 to 34, it was all in there.

He looked at the Walls of the small room he could see in the corner of his eye, it was to his right, as they were littered with paintings and awards he obtained for his Music and his Free Time businesses. That was his "inspiration room", he went in there whenever he was feeling down, or in need of an idea.
The chair he was sitting in was soft, made of Rough, 'grippy', fabric. He was sunken into it and knew what was to happen soon.

His life had been a normal one; if anyone had been able to call it that. He had bright yellow skin and his black and green hair had faded years ago.
His eyes sparkled when he talked about Grilled Cheese or Music and was a great "grandada"; and a Great "Great Grandada" too.
His genes were recessive, his mind and ideas, dominant.

He looked at the window to this left, closed his eyes and felt the warm sun on his face.

It was suppost to be winter.

He felt everlasting and true love as a physical feeling, upon his unnatural toned Skin, and without moving a single muscle, for they were no use to him now, walked on by to his next adventure; the afterlife.

Thank you for the new final deadline. I inadvertently lost Jax somewhere. Or my game did. Finally found where my game saved him when it crashed when I quit after the last round.

Presently . . .

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-1.jpg

I was feeling a little nervous the morning my dad sent me off in a taxi to another one of his surprise destinations. It didn't take long to discover I had nothing to fear -- I was just where I wanted to be.

College life can be pretty grueling at times but if you check out my photo album, you'll see that I manage to have a little fun squeezed in between all the term papers, classes, homework and researching.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/clicker2-Jax-R4-2.jpg (http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-2.jpg)

I'm in my Senior year, right now. I'm studying hard to get my medical degree. The body is so fascinating. I'd say human body, but I'm not exactly human so I've extended my studies to all life forms. You never know who might need your help one day.

Sometimes I just sit over my notebook and dream about the big when . . . the big future after I graduate . . .

The "Big" Future

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-3.jpg

After attaining his M.D., Jax opened up his own clinic in a lower class neighborhood of Sim City. He was soon quite distressed over the amount of small children coming to his clinic with illnesses that belonged to another species. All that intergalactic travel of late could be the only cause. Since you can't quit all the worlds from visiting eachother, Jax found himself wondering what he could do with all his medical knowledge to help all these poor under-priveleged children since so many of them succumbed to illnesses that another species would spring right back from.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-4.jpg

Jax began investigating his theories after clinic hours. He would work into the wee hours of the night. He had an idea that through death he would find the secret to life. He spent many hours examining the bodies of people that had succumbed to alien diseases. Jax began developing what he hoped would be antibodies. He just wished he had small children to test his findings on.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-5.jpg

While tossing and turning with insomnia one dawn, Jax quickly sat up in bed slapping himself on the forehead, "Eureka! Clones! I can clone myself and test my antibodies on them!"

Jax soon filled a hidden room in the lowest level of his building with incubators full of miniature Jax's. He thought it was odd that every now and then a white one would turn up. But of course, this could easily be explained by his own mixed heritage. Jax was hopeful that through this clinical trial, he would develp a multi-species cure to all those diseases passing from one world to the next. He continued his work mixing viruses, bacteria, anti-bodies, milk and cookies with assorted DNA from his infant specimens.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-6.jpg

After a couple of years of trial and error, Jax was sure his latest potion would be the cure-all to everything. Feeling a little under the weather from the common cold, Jax thought he'd give it a try himself. He immediately felt a little odd and off-balance.

"Arrrrghhhhhhh!!!! This isn't what's supposed to happen!!! How am I gonna get green again?" Jax cried out as he heard the lab door open and close.

He looked up to see his older sister, Jaxi. He was so happy to see her and knew she'd know just what to do to get him out of this latest jam.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii217/deb666/Sims%202%20Aspiration%20Contest/Jax-R4-7.jpg

"Jaxi! Oh, Jaxi, am I so glad to see you!" he said to her before his eyes widened in surprise. "Um, Jaxi? Do you think you could, maybe, point that gun at the floor instead of towards me?"

"Jax, you are no better than any other bioengineer. What did you think you were doing making clones and messing with DNA? There is no secret to life to be found in this evil, only death. Good-bye, little brother," Jaxi calmly said before pulling the trigger of her rifle.

It worked -- thanks. Why didn't anyone ever teach me this back when I used to run out of the room swearing at the mere mention of using html?

I think I better reload one with an outline so people can tell it's a link pic.

I've always thought about the future, especially now that I'm living on my own. I'm hoping desperately to get accepted to this magazine's website (SimShine, if you're interested). They want a new columnist to write about life in Simtropolis (where they and I are located), and preferably single life. I just sent them my resume, and my sample article-- so fingers crossed!

Speaking of single, I just called Leslie back. It's been a few days. I've hardly been able to look at the phone without freaking out. Eventually I got up the nerve, and called him, and he wanted to know if I wanted to go grab dinner with him. I said okay.

----
Annalise Thompson-O'Connor, senior columnist

Good morning, SimShiners!

I told you yesterday about my first date with my now-husband, Leslie, and you shared me your experiences with your first outings with your significant other. I got a couple requests (okay, more like a lot) to share the whole story, after that date, and so here I am, typing away.

Leslie and I went out on a couple more dates, and eventually we started seeing each other regularly and exclusively. I, for one, was scared out of my mind 24/7, mostly because I hadn't held down anything for the longest time. But he stayed, and I stayed, and we stayed like that for four whole years. I moved in with him, showed him off to my parents and vice versa, the whole shebang.

And then one night, on our date night, he took my hand right before dinner and asked me very quietly, "Lise, I love you so much. You're better than I deserve, but would you make me the luckiest, most undeserving man in the whole world and marry me?" And he pulled out this gorgeous, modest little ring.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4proposalpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4proposal.png)

I said yes, obviously. It was more like a squeal and a nod, but who's counting? Acceptance is acceptance. (A/N: I just went and said yes to him, to make it count, and he laughed! A+ hubby behavior or what?)

We got married in the summer, right before fall started up, and it was an awesome ceremony. It was really kind of schmaltzy, with self-written vows and an antique wedding gown (that I will force one of my daughters into on her wedding day, by the way), but I wouldn't have had it any other way. We hyphenated our last names, just because I couldn't bear to be without my old, sentimental family ties.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4mawwiagepreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4mawwiage.png)

It was around a year after we got married that we had our first daughter, Harriet Gwendolyn. She's nine now, and in the fourth grade. My mind is totally blown. She takes a lot after her father, I think. She certainly didn't inherit my social awkwardness; she loves to make new friends. She also loves soccer and wants me to be her goalie when she practices, much to my dismay. I think I'm a little too old for grass stains on my knees.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4harrietpreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4harriet.png)

Our second daughter is Antonia Rose, and she's only 4. She's a little bit more like me, in the sense that she's incredibly attached to her family. "Grandpa" is her favorite of her extended relatives, but she takes a little bit more after my mother. She's almost always looking for a party, or a way to start one. She never stops talking, either, which is both a blessing and a boon.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4antoniapreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4antonia.png)

Thankfully my girls get along, despite their differing personalities. Harriet loves having a little sister to dress up and play with, and Antonia just likes the extra attention. I've heard so many other horror stories from both here at SimShine and around town about sibling rivalries, it's a miracle I haven't gone completely gray from the stress.

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4girlspreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4girls.png)

I'm really just thankful entirely for a loving family in these hard times. I always have been, and now more than ever. So, tell me SimShiners, what was life like after your first date with "The One" (or maybe, "The One, Or So I Thought")?

http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4familypicturepreview.jpg (http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k446/_lynniepants/round4familypicture.png)

Karen Marshall - Round 3

My favourite day of the week would have to be Friday. Not because it's the last day of the working week or anything, I'm not that lazy, but because it's payday. That day when my pockets get just a little heavier, and I get just a little happier.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/A5.jpg

My Fridays generally start out like any old working day for me. I get up early and make my way to the bathroom to fix up the way I look. I like to go to work looking smart, stylish and of course, rich. I don't fuss too much about beauty or anything, but I know that one stray hair is the difference between sophisticated and shabby.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/A6.jpg

After I've put my glasses on and gotten myself fully dressed, I get in my car and make my way to work. I work from 9 to 5, so at the point, it's about eight in the morning. When I walk into work each morning, I greet all of my workers, and I always feel that little tang of pride whenever they address me with all of them formal words. After all that, I make my way to my office where I spend the rest of the day.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/A4.jpg

What do I do in my office? Well, the things I do there range. Sometimes I have meetings with other important people, and sometimes I'm just sitting there with absolutely nothing to do. It's during this time that I go into the company files and look at just how much we're earning and losing. I love intepreting all of those graphs and statistics, provided things are actually going well, and then calculating how much richer I'll be this time next year. Our company's cash flow system is automated, so peoples' accounts are automatically added to on payday, as opposed to the CEO having to pay everybody by hand. To be perfectly honest, I really like this system, obvious reasons.

Anyway; as the working day draws to its' close, I make my way out, waving bye to everybody as I go. I know now that I have just that bit more money and I can do whatever I want to do with it. Whoo-hoo. The first thing I was thinking about on this particular day was what I was going to get for dinner, but then I realized that I wouldn't even have to pay for my dinner; Shane was waiting at my doorstep.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/A2.jpg

Oh, I probably haven't mentioned Shane yet. He's my fiancée. He's a pretty wealthy guy too (I swear, this is not the only reason I'm marrying him), but he didn't make all of his money from hard work. Shane is an expert gambler. He'd never lost a single game of poker for years before I came along. That's how ended up so well off. Anyway, I beat him one day - I guess it's just my natural instinct when it comes to money - and he was so amazed by my skill that he asked me out. And we've been that way ever since. ANYWAY, moving on.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/A3.jpg

Shane takes me out to the casino for the night. He says that whoever loses has to pay for dinner. So quite naturally, I beat him. Yes, I do act like a posh buisnesswoman, but I do like to go out and have some fun every now and then. And the fun is only greater if there's money on the line. Shane and I have dinner together that night, with me making sure that I order everything I can eat, considering I'm not the one paying, and then he drives me home. I'm feeling really good now.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/A1.jpg

And with that, my simple day draws to a close. Wow. What an ideal day, eh? Knocking off all the lights, I put my purse and my valuables away into my safe, and then draw my quilt on yet another perfect Friday. Just seven more sleeps till the next one.

Karen Marshall - Round 4

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/B5.jpg

I think about my future. I've always thought about my future. Ever since I was a young country bumpkin. I always knew I wanted to get far in life, and I was always knew that I needed money to do that. Well, my main goal for the future would be to become richer, richer and just richer. I guess I also want to do some other things; y'know, have a family, become a better person, that sorta thing, but since I was little, I knew that "Money" was just my way of life. My Aspiration.

...

And boy did that aspiration really play a part in my future. It was a mere year after I first entered this competition that I made my first goal a reality. I hit that big ol' one million mark. I wasn't just a "Rich girl" anymore, I was a freaking MILLIONAIRE. And the most extraordinary thing about all this? I never did anything super crazy to get there. I just worked, worked and worked, and pooft, one million, baby. It's crazy when I think about it, I was, and I suppose I still am, a really normal person. Now, what did I do when I crossed the grand line? I spluurrrrrrrrged. I spent some of my hard earned cash on sculptures and other expensive stuff. I wanted my house to look like it belonged to a millionaire.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/B1.jpg

It was around this time that another thought hit me. In the far off future, when I was dead and gone, what was going to happen to my money? I needed somebody to pass it on to. I wanted to not only make myself rich, I wanted to start a wealthy legacy. Afterall, the aspiration ain't called "Money", it's called "Fortune", and that's for a reason.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/B4.jpg

I mentioned Shane, my fiancée, in the previous round. Well, sure enough, we got married (He brought another million along with him...) and then, shortly after that, we had our beautiful daughter. Shane and I chose to name her "Penny", once again, obvious reasons.

The next few years were hard. I had to balance being a wife, mother, buisnesswoman and millionaire. Boy, it wasn't easy, but I did manage. And so, the years just seemed to slip by as I went about my now really busy life, and before I knew it, I, myself, was slipping into the golden oldies...

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/B3.jpg

...And I wasn't slowing down one bit.

Since my father bought me my first cellphone when I was twelve, I was rarely seen without it. And now, in my greying years, I still wasn't seen without it. I didn't retire until I was seventy years old. By then, I was obviously a wealthy pensioner, and I spent the last few years of my life sorting out my will and I even spared a visit to my brother, who now managed that old farm where I was born and raised. The last thing he said to me on that visit was "Farm to fortune, eh Kar? Hard work, that is. Must've taken some dedication,"

Oh boy, it did take some dedication.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c124/-Loony-Lovegood-/B2.jpg

And that dedication sure paid off. No pun intended.

Hmmm I have a proposition for you, W! It looks like you have a two-way-tie for first place, which doesn't allow the winner of this contest to get their star! (There must be only one winner in order for that winner to get a star).

So... what about having a sudden death tie-breaker between titi and Petchy? That might make for an interesting end of a cool competition ;)

You will be judged on the normal three catergories, and the person with the highest score will with "The Aspiration and Me" Contest overall, along with a star for their profile.

[I]* You may age the child to teen, young adult or adult.
**Your Sim's child does not have to have the same aspiration as their parent.

Good luck!

Pick only one child; and yes, any living parents can appear (but I believe that both your Navee and titi's Karen were shown to be dead in Round 4. If I am wrong in either case feel free to use them, along with the other parent.)

Woaaaah Shetz I'm hereeeeeee!! D8. Lol, I'm sorry I wasn't around, I had to spend the last two days with my grandmother because my grandfather had to go back to his home country due to family problems and I didn't have much time to check the site. Anyway, yep, this round is totally do-able (Is that a word?) and I'll get to it today or tomorrow. Good luck to Petchy and thanks guys :D. I can't wait to get this done. Also...

Yeah, Karen did eventually die, but not until her daughter grew up. But it doesn't matter, I dunno if I'll use Karen or not in it XD.

Well... it doesn't look like there was too much effort put into the tie-breaker by the two winners (which is OK), but since this contest has gone on for so long -and technically already declared a winner- I'm going ahead and closing this contest.

Good job guys :)
