Gavin watched Delilah walk into Queen's Clothes and he hopped out of the car, locking it behind him and then practically sprinted his way into the elevator. Chewing a stick of gum, he made his way to his office and saw the door close in front of him, presuming it was Delilah, and he leant up against it

"Delilah is that you? Are you alright? I'll just go get some coffee babe." he whispered

Gavin walked over to the coffee machine and prepared himself a Vanilla Latte, spying that guy Delilah had spoke about. He poked his head around the door of her office to look at Aaron, but he had his eyes closed and appeared to be sleeping. Gavin shurgged to himself and walked to his own office, gently opening the door

"Did you know there's a freaky dark haired guy asleep in your office?" he teased, walking over to Delilah and gave her a hug.

He took a long drag of his coffee and booted up his computer, checking for any emails. He'd heard he and Delilah would have to give an interview from Fashion TV, so when he saw an email from Cecilia, he presumed that that was it. His jaw dropped when he read it, looking up at Delilah in shock

"I have to do a topless photoshoot with Cecilia" Gavin stammered out, "oh...god..."

He watched Delilah leave her office. "You can go back to your office," she called over her shoulder. Aaron frowned and looked down at the spilled drugs all over the floor.

"Shame" he commented plainly. He sat up and eyed the room, he'd become very familiar with this room when Delilah had forgoten about him. He resched out a took a pen lying on her desk. With this, he flipped over some paper near by and wrote a small message to her.

Delilah, lets start over. Lets be friends again. I'm not immature anymore; I just choose to act like I am. Call me sometime, you know the number. I want to feel that connection with you, I know it's there, you just need to help me find it. Aaron.

He placed the note in the middle of her desk, and started kicking at the drugs. He looked up, noticing some movement in the corner of his eye. Another worker had walked past the office. He looked at his reflection on the window. His appeared dirty, although he had showered, and it covered his face a little. He raised his hand and fixed it up a bit.

His head felt heavy and he sat back down on the chair, strained to keep his eyes open. "Too much pills?" he asked himself quietly before drifting off to sleep.

Delilah groaned when Gavin told her the news. "A topless shoot? Is this her idea of a joke?" she asked. "I can't believe this nonsense! You know, of course, that I think it's a bad idea that's just going to cause more rumors and gossip."

She sighed and bowed her head on Gavin's shoulder. "On another note, I now remember where I know Aaron from. Back when I was younger, we were friends and... well... we did a lot of drugs together." She made a face. "Way to have the past come back to haunt me, eh?"

Topless photoshoot? Delilah thought, eyes narrowed. That is my damn fiance. And request him, anyways? He's not a model. Why not get one of the male models to do it, if we have any? This whole thing smells fishy to me.

Gavin frownded and rested his head on top of Delilah's, praying that the email was just some kind of joke: an odd one, yes, but still just a joke. He didn't want anymore drama, he just wanted to live with his fiance and marry her and have a life with her, not do sleezy photoshoots with his love-striken boss.

"I don't want to do it babe, maybe it's a punishment cause I said it was me that was rude to the photographer. Maybe the media just want to split us up..." Gavin said sadly

He wrapped his arms more tightly around Delilah

"On another note, I now remember where I know Aaron from. Back when I was younger, we were friends and... well... we did a lot of drugs together." She made a face. "Way to have the past come back to haunt me, eh?"

Gavin's brow furrowed and he contemplated what she'd said. An ex-mate come back to torment her, maybe even to get her started on drugs again. He kissed her forehead and stroked her hair lovingly

"Don't you dare go starting on that sh*t again!" he said softly, nuzzling against Delilah's neck, "don't take yourself away from me."

Gavin sighed and ran a hand through his hair, still contemplating this stupid photoshoot

"Perhaps we could ask Fashion TV if you could pose instead of Cecilia. Maybe they'd change their minds if they knew we're engaged."
They bloody well have to change their minds! I'm not getting half-naked with Cecilia...

"Well," Delilah said, "It's probably because of the whole love triange thing... you, me, and Cecilia. Makes for drama and sells magazines."

"Don't you dare go starting on that sh*t again!" he said softly, nuzzling against Delilah's neck, "don't take yourself away from me."

She smiled reassuringly, snuggling close to Gavin. "Don't worry, sweetie," she said softly. "I've given all that up. I don't want to lose you. No more getting plastered, no more drugs, none of that bull. I'm going to take care of myself for you."

"Perhaps we could ask Fashion TV if you could pose instead of Cecilia. Maybe they'd change their minds if they knew we're engaged."

Delilah snickered. "Do that, and they'll want us to be totally nude. Which, you know, wouldn't be a bad thing and would probably be really fun, but still... just letting you know it might come up if we mention the engagement."

Actually, that would be pretty hot, she thought, trying to hide the naughty little smirk on her face.

Gavin pursed his lips and frowned worriedly, dreading the photoshoot that was coming.

"Don't worry, sweetie," Delilah said softly. "I've given all that up. I don't want to lose you. No more getting plastered, no more drugs, none of that bull. I'm going to take care of myself for you."

Gavin chuckled and gave her a passionate kiss, ruffling up her hair playfully

"I'll take care of you for you," he teased, pulling her closer, "and you know, I don't mind you getting plastered every once in a while. I tend to have a hangover most monday mornings!"

"Do that, and they'll want us to be totally nude. Which, you know, wouldn't be a bad thing and would probably be really fun, but still... just letting you know it might come up if we mention the engagement." Delilah said, snickering

Gavin laughed under his breath and felt his chest heating up. I don't see anything wrong with posing nude with you...in fact, I'd love it.

"I think I can just about bare getting naked with you!" he teased, attempting to hide his laughter, "it would be a h*ll of a lot better than getting naked with Cecilia"

How much fun would that be! His smile suddenly vanished when a sudden though hit him, oh god, they'd better not make me pose nude with Cecilia. I'll say no if they do that...oh god, I don't have a choice!

Delilah flashed Gavin a naughty smile. "If they do shots of us, we should buy copies of the magazines and frame the shots of us. You know, for posterity. And because, well, it's just really hot."

Yum... nudie pictures of Gavin. Could there be anything much better than that? she thought to herself, picturing it with very little difficulty at all.

She wrapped her arms around Gavin's waist. If they make him pose nude with Cecilia, I'll be extremely ticked off. But me and Gavin... yummmmmmmmm... damn, better get my mind out of the gutter, and fast!

"Sorry," she said. "Just trying to de-pervertize my mind. I'm just thinking about what shots of us together would look like..."

Gavin giggled and tickled Delilah's stomach playfully

"If they do shots of us, we should buy copies of the magazines and frame the shots of us. You know, for posterity. And because, well, it's just really hot." Delilah said snickering

He laughed and nodded in agreement, instantly picturing what they'd look like, especially Delilah and it made him grin: and blush at the same time. They both stayed silent for a few minutes, clearly both picturing the other one nude and then looked at each other, bursting out laughing

"Sorry," she giggled. "Just trying to de-pervertize my mind. I'm just thinking about what shots of us together would look like..."

Gavin smirked and bit down gently on Delilah's neck. He again began to picture the shots and his cheeks flushed red, lowering his head to hide behind his hair

"Snap," he teased, "and I've gotta say! I think that would be a great idea! I'd get a wallet sized one of you to carry around with me," he giggled, patting her behind teasingly, "and enlarge a nudie one of you and me together to hang in the bedroom! We could get copies for our wedding invitations!"

Hmm, nudie Delilah all for me! Let's hope it's not some pervy photographer though! Oh god I hope I don't end up naked with Cecilia. Man that would be, not only very weird, but seriously annoying! Why can't it be Delilah. Ooh, there come the images again!

Gavin put his arms tighter around Delilah and snickered, not trying particularly hard to brush the images from his mind.

Delilah giggled and poked at Gavin. "Stop thinking such naughty things. I can tell you are, because I'm thinking the same damn thing, and I'm trying to clear my mind of them like a good girl. But noooooo, you have to take the perv route!" she teased.

"And we are not using them as invitations for anything. Those are... uh... private business," she continued, laughing. "And as for the wallet-sized shots... well, it sure would be funny if you were doing a presentations at a meeting and the pictures fell out. It would make you out to be a dirty... uh... young man."

But the idea of him and Cecilia... half-dressed... I can't stand it. It's not right. Why those two, of all people, when there's tons of good-looking people working here? We have a good-sized number of models who could do the job, instead of Cecilia and Gavin.

Delilah poked at Gavin again. "Perv!" she teased. "Stop thinking about that kind of stuff. Don't you get tired of it?" She paused a moment. "Actually, you probably don't."

Not that there's anything wrong with that, she thought. Hell, I like thinking about Gavin, dressed, half-dressed, or undressed. Guess we're both pervs, eh?

She grinned and turned away, not wanting Gavin to know what she was thinking, even though she was sure it was obvious.

"Okay, fine, I like thinking similar thoughts about you," she admitted. "But unlike you, I have enough tact not to make it obvious to everyone."

Cecilia would never go for the idea, though. She still has feelings for Gavin, I know it. Never mind that I'm engaged to him, but... well, I guess that's life for you, eh? You're either wanted or stuck wanting. Meh, such unpleasant thoughts. Time to go back to my happy thoughts. If I think too much about the company drama, I get all emo.

Gavin grinned and watched Delilah turn her head away from him, instantly telling him she was having similar thoughts about him. It made him blush a little and he smiled again, picturing himself and her together

"I'm not a perv!" he giggled, "it's perfectly natural to think about your partner!" he rubbed his nose against Delilah, "the fact that you're gorgeous: dressed and undressed, is just a nice bonus!"

He sank back into his chair and pulled Delilah onto his lap, grinning to himself again, like he would never be able to stop

"Back to the point," Gavin mused, letting his fingers gently tickle her, "you want me to ask to get out of this photoshoot? Or ask that you pose in place? Afterall, being in the alltogether with you will surely brighten my day!"

Hannah walked quickly through the alley's behind 'Queens Clothes' by going this way she was less likely to encounter the odd reporter still hunting for a story. When Hannah entered the building she was in a happy mood. She had spent most of the night planning a 'plan' that was sure to help revive the comapanys fortune. But her expression soon changed when she read her emails that morning.

"Those sons of B*itches" Hannah cried out after reading about the photoshoot

Hannah swiftly left her office and knocked on Gavins door

Delilah stroked Gavin's hair, thinking.

"Well..." she said. "Whether or not you do the photoshoot is entirely up to you. I wouldn't mind taking Cecilia's place, but I don't think she would take too kindly to that, if you know what I'm saying. I mean, I'd love to be in the photoshoot with you, but it's not me that they're asking for-- it's you and Cecilia."

I'd love to be do the photoshoot, and take Cecilia's place. But the problem is, the media seems to be more interested in the Cecilia/Gavin aspect. The whole 'Cecilia went nutso because of me and Gavin, blah blah blah' junk. Damn, no wonder I hate the media so much.

"I... really don't know what to tell you," she stammered.

Gavin nodded as Delilah spoke and smiled at her, stroking her hair. It would be great if Delilah could pose for the shoot instead of Cecilia, then there would be no awkwardness between them. And the photos would probably turn out much better as they loved each other: natural chemistry

"I... really don't know what to tell you," Delilah stammered.

Gavin smiled softly at her, "tell me you love me," he replied.

He moved her head to kiss her when there was a knock on his office door, and he leapt up to answer it. His happy smile faded when he saw Hannah

"What do you want?" Gavin asked, placing his hand on his hip and blocked the door so she couldn't walk in just yet

Gavin looked over at Delilah and sighed, turning back to stare at Hannah, not too happy with her presence

So you've got to get off to 'Fashion TV' headquarters in a hour. After, you are going to have an interview with them. They also want to interview Cecilia as well. The after that you are off to the hospital. So if that's everything I will be on my way" Hannah said as she started to walk down towards her office

Delilah sat, quietly listening to the conversation.

Way to go, Gavin! she thought. Tell Hannah what you think of this photoshoot stupidity! If you don't want to take those pictures with Cecilia, say it!

She smiled a little, pretending that she wasn't actually listening to the conversation. Score for Team Ruppetts, she thought, wanting to giggle. But he does have a great body. Very photogenic. But if saying he has a bad body makes a convincing argument about why he shouldn't do this photoshoot, then whatever works.

She swung her legs a little, like an impatient child. Hurry up with the convo, she thought. Just tell her everything you think about this photoshoot.

Her eyes widened when she heard Hannah's words. NO! she thought. DAMN IT!

Gavin sighed, he'd be $2000 down for taking the blame for Delilah, and have to do a raunchy photoshoot with a women who was in love with him; how could things get worse!? He watched Hannah leave and groaned to himself

"An interview..." he repeated, looking over at Delilah, "should we announce our engagement then? It's bound to get a h*ll of a lot of publicity, no matter when we announce it."

Gavin walked over to Delilah and pulled her to her feet, putting his arms tightly around her waist

"Shall we head to Fashion TV then?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, "or can we have some 'lipstick' time before we go?"

Delilah sighed, and then smirked a little. Announcing our engagement is going to be punishment for... other people, she thought.

"Yes. Go ahead and announce it at the interview. If Hannah is using this photoshoot as your punishment, at least your announcing the engagement could be considered a form of revenge, right? Do it!" Delilah said.

She stroked Gavin's hair. "You can have lots of lipstick therapy later, when we go home. But you have important business to attend to," she smirked. "Just close your eyes and think of England, love," she teased.

Cecilia walked into Gavin's office. "Hi" she said awkardly. "Err, you know the plan, I guess?" she asked. "I didn't come up with this so don't get all mad at me." she sat down on the sofa and coughed.
She then opened her mouth. "No lipstick time, we already know you're in love, and that you're engaged so please, the lipstick time can wait untill you're home." she snapped. Oh god, can they actually be a floor away from eachother. Maybe then they even might try to touch eachother, god.

"Let's head to FashionTV, we need to get there as soon as possible."

Gavin smiled and kissed Delilah softly, quickly pulling away when Cecilia walked in

"Hi" she said awkardly. "Err, you know the plan, I guess?" she asked. "I didn't come up with this so don't get all mad at me."

He sighed and stood up, slipping his hand into Delilah's and held it tightly,

"Whatever you say. I'm sure you didn't argue with them about it either!" he snapped

He ignored her latter comment and pulled Delilah past Cecilia and out into the hallway and into the elevator where he pulled her into an embrace

"Ignore her, everything's going to be fine," Gavin whispered softly into her ear, "remember that I love you very very much and nothing is ever going to change that."

Delilah nodded and squeezed Gavin tightly. "I know," she said. "And I love you too. I'm just ticked about this freaking photoshoot. I swear, if I find out whose idea this was, they're going to be in a world of hurt!"

She squeezed his hands tightly and led him out of the elevator when they reached the first floor.

"To the car," she said, feigning cheerfulness. She passed Gavin the keys and climbed into the passenger side.

"This is going to be really crappy and not-fun, but... well... that's work," she muttered.

Cecilia walked past Hannah and walked down the stairs. She sighed and left the building. She made her way to her car and sat in it. She started the car and drove off the parking lot. FashionTV wasn't really far from QC but it was quite a drive. She drove on the highway and soon FashionTV came in sight. She drove on the parking lot, stopped the car and got out of it. She locked it, walked to the entrance and waited for the others to show up.
"God... why do I need to do this. People can be so cruel." she said while she waited for the others. This is the way you left me, i'm not pretending, no hope, no love, no glory, no happy ending.

Gavin held Delilah and stroked her cheek softly,

"I know," she said. "And I love you too. I'm just ticked about this freaking photoshoot. I swear, if I find out whose idea this was, they're going to be in a world of hurt!"

He chuckled and pretended to swat at Delilah

"And then I'll come visit you in jail!" he teased, kissing her neck softly, leaving a little love bite

She led him out of the elevator and over to the parking lot, where she climbed into the passenger side, handing Gavin the keys. He hopped into the drivers seat and started the engine

"This is going to be really crappy and not-fun, but... well... that's work," Delilah muttered.

Gavin pretended to look hurt and drove out of the parking lot, beginning on the five minute journey to the Fashion TV studios.

"Hey! You found me at work!" he teased, sticking his tongue out at Delilah, "and even if we don't get to pose together, you'll still get to see me half-naked. Remember: just close your eyes and think of England!"

"You're the exception to the rule about work being crappy," Delilah replied. She sighed and sat back.

Better not whine, she thought. It's unattractive. Okay, so my gorgeous fiance has to pose topless with our boss, who I'm not too fond of, which is probably going to lead to a media sh*tstorm. And of course, there's my part in all this-- I'm made to be the bad guy, the chick who seduced Gavin and was basically the cause of Cecilia's drunk driving. Never mind that personal responsibility should play a part in this.

She frowned a little.

Life's a b*tch, she thought, as they arrived at the Fashion TV studios.

"Time to smile and pretend to be happy, babe," she told Gavin.

Gavin's smile faltered a little and then dissappeared altogether as they arrived at the Fashion TV studios. He stopped the car and looked over at Delilah, sighing heavily

"Time to smile and pretend to be happy, babe," Delilah told him.

Gavin nodded and got out of the car, opening the other door so she could get out and then clasped her hand tightly as they walked up the steps, stopping in front of Cecilia

"Let's go get this sh*t over and done with" he said to the two women, walking further into the studios

A man dressed in head to toe black in white glasses approached them with a clip board, handing them each a bottle of water and then pointed them in the direction of a crowded ballroom

"Miss Queen, you'll be on seat on the left of the table, Mr Ruppetts in the middle and Miss Stanton on the right hand side. The interviewer and camera crew is already set up in there. And hurry up!" the man said, bustling them towards a door

Gavin walked into the room, his hand still tightly clutching Delilah's and was immediately bombarded with camera flashes from the dozen or so people in the room. They took their seats at the table and Gavin stared at the big camera placed directly in front of him. Oh...my...god...

Delilah squeezed Gavin's hand tightly. She hated all this attention. It made her nervous. Gavin seemed to be taking it well enough, or maybe he was just good at acting.

Strength, she told herself. Don't let the b*stards grind you down. Show them that you've got a spine, that you're not some weakling. You're not what you were a few years ago.

"Gav," she whispered. "This doesn't look good."

She bit her lips. Can't show any signs of weakness. It's bad. They eat weak people alive.

Gavin looked over at Delilah and sighed heavily. As Cecilia was ascorted over somewhere to talk about the photoshoot, the photographers bombarded them with questions

"How long have you been in a relationship?"

"Mr Ruppetts did you cheat on Miss Queen with Delilah?"

"Miss Stanton are you pregnant?"

"Will we be hearing wedding bells soon?"

Gavin looked shocked and swallowed heavily,

"Erm, we've been dating about two months now. No I was never in a relationship with Cecilia and no, Delilah isn't pregnant," he replied after a moment. He paused at their last question, what should he say? Should he announce it? He looked over at Delilah for help, running his hands through his hair

Delilah nodded at Gavin.

I'll say it, if he won't, she thought.

"Yes, we're engaged, although it hasn't been long that we've been engaged," she said. "Next question?"

"Miss Stanton, is it true that you posed nude for several magazines a few years ago?" another reporter called out.

"Yes, but I was young and stupid and in desperate need of money. Next."

"Miss Stanton, is it true that you and Mr. Ruppetts led Miss Queen to drink heavily, which led to her car accident?"

Delilah sighed. "We neither served her alcohol nor forced her to drink. We didn't tell her to drive while intoxicated. Miss Queen is an adult, and if she chose to drink and drive, it was her own fault, and not the fault of myself or my fiance."

Cecilia smiled as the interview ended.
"Right," the girl at the desk said, "Now Mr Rupetts and Miss Queen can go change and you can get a cup of coffee at the canteen." she said, pointing at Delilah.

Cecilia nodded and walked over to the changing room, which was... the only one. She looked at Gavin and sighed. "Ok... I want to say that i'm so sorry about everything, but I can't help it. Ok, I said that." she rubbed her head and walked over to him. She hugged him quick and then turned around to search for the clothing they needed.

Delilah frowned. "Sure," she said to the girl. She headed to the canteen and grabbed a cup of coffee. She sat at a table, not sipping the coffee, but simply staring at it.

"Why so sad?" a voice said behind her. She turned her head. A guy around her age stood there, holding a coffee mug. "It can't be that bad, can it?" he asked.

"Believe it or not," Delilah snapped, not in the mood for being friendly, "it is that bad. I don't want to be bothered right now."

He eyed her. "I've seen you somewhere."

"Uh, yeah. I work for Queen's Clothes. I'm part of all that idiotic bull that's been in all the magazines," she replied.

"No, something earlier than that." He paused a minute. "Weren't you in a bunch of magazines a few years ago?"

"Which magazines?" The guy turned red. "Oh, that kind," Delilah remarked. "Well, maybe it was, and maybe it wasn't. What business is it of yours?"

The guy handed her a business card. "I work with Elemental, the fashion line, and they're looking for some models that don't fit the usual standards. I think you'd be well-suited for it. You look about right for it. They want kind of alternative-looking women..."

Delilah glanced at the business card, which said, N. Foley, Elemental Fashions. "I'm sorry, Mr. Foley, but I work with Queen's Clothes. I'm afraid I don't plan on leaving them at any time. That's where my fiance works, and that's where I'm somewhat happy working."

"Fine," Mr. Foley said. "But remember, if you ever need some money on the side, we always need models for fashion shows."

"I'll keep that in mind," Delilah said wryly, standing and walking away.

"You forgot your coffee!" he called out.

"I don't like coffee much."

Gavin gulped and kissed Delilah passionately, giving her a reassuring squeeze

"Wait for me," he whispered

He followed Cecilia into the only dressing room where she hugged him. Gavin let her hug him and then pulled away, reluctantly taking his shirt and jacket off

Cecilia walked over to him, her hands shaking. "I don't know" she said, shrugging. She softly stroke his cheek and moved closer...

"I can't..." she sighed and kissed him. She wrapped an arm around his neck.

Gavin looked around the changing rooms for any sort of clothing to change into and gulped a little when he saw none: surely they weren't expecting him to be nude! His thoughts were suddenly interrupted as Cecilia began to kiss him and he widened his eyes. Quickly he pushed her away and touched his finger to his lips

"What the h*ll was that about!" he said unbelievingly, "I'm f*king engaged!"

Delilah walked out to the main room of the building and leaned against a wall, ignoring the whispers and stares.

I don't care if they stare, she thought. As for that other thing, he must think I'm a complete idiot. The only damn reason I'm staying at QC is Gavin. Cecilia always manages to do something f*cked up, and with all the drama, it's having a negative effect on my health. Elemental would probably be better-suited for me, but it would mean not being with Gavin as much. Also, isn't Elemental one of QC's biggest competitors? Maybe that Foley dude was trying to get on the whole QC drama bandwagon and snag one of the people at the center of the drama. Get some attention for his company. But whatever. That photoshoot better not take much longer, or I'm going in there and yelling.

"Life sucks like an Electrolux," she muttered.

"Nevermind" she said quickly and got changed. She walked out of the changing room.

"Why did I do that" she asked herself, shaking her head.

She walked into the room with the set and posed, waiting for Gavin to arrive.
I'm so goddamn stupid.

"What do we have to do?" she asked. The photographer smirked.

"Right, just hold eachother, and pose. Or no nooo! Wait, I know. You could kiss. That would be awesome!"
Cecilia looked at Gavin, who just came walking in, he definately heard that.

Gavin walked out into the set and his jaw dropped open. Did he...did the photographer just say what I thought he said?? He felt like screaming and slowly walked onto the set

"Right, Gavin, please strip down to your boxers, and when we say so please take them off."

He screamed inside his head again. Oh god. Not nude. No this couldn't be happening. Meanwhile across the room Cecilia was wearing nothing but a dressing gown and she looked reasonably happy with herself. Gavin walked over to her and sat down beside her on the set, slipping out of his jeans

"Don't try anything," he told her out of the corner of his mouth

Delilah took out the business card and looked it over again. She tried to remember everything she knew about Elemental Fashions.

Started a few years ago by someone with the last name Foley-Cloud... maybe that Foley dude is related to her. Specializes mostly in alternative fashions, but also has a good bit of mainstream stuff. The owner of the company seems to be pretty controversial-- she was surrogate mother to two children for a gay couple, and she's in a relationship with one of her models, who underwent a certain operation several years ago. Oh, and apparently, there's a magazine associated with the company, at least somewhat. So, the company is pretty well-known. It would tick Cecilia off if I left her company to work for a rival company. But she would like to be rid of me.

"What to do?" she muttered.

She snickered. "Might as well look in on the photoshoot, eh? It's good publicity," she murmured.

She made her way to the photoshoot site and stepped in and then leaned against a wall. She watched the proceedings, and she did not like what she saw.

Gavin, get out of here, and fast, she thought.

She sighed. "Stop acting like you hate me." she snapped. She posed and turned her face blank. The photographer smiled.

"Great, great, like that. And now, KISSSS!" Cecilia sighed and looked at Gavin.

"Hellooo? Are you deaf? KISS!" Cecilia slowly moved her mouth to his.
"I'm so sorry." she whispered.
She squeezed his hand and closed her eyes.

Gavin had never felt more uncomfortable in his entire life. He knew what he had to do. He had to take off his boxers and then kiss Cecilia. Could things be any worse? He needed Delilah, he needed her to get him out of this.

"Hellooo? Are you deaf? KISS!" Cecilia slowly moved her mouth to his.
"I'm so sorry." she whispered.

The photographer signalled for them to remove their clothes and Gavin pulled off his boxers, covering himself up with his hands as Cecilia removed her dressing gown and then leaned towards him

"They're going to f*king regret this!" he muttered as he pressed his lips against hers, letting his eyes close lightly and the posed

Hannah watched the interview live on Fashion TV. Everything went fine and Hannah breathed a huge sigh of relief. But she still had to make sure that everything was alright at the photoshoot. She tried to ring Gavins phone but it was turned off. So thinking of the only other person she could phone she rang Delilahs number. When she picked up

"Hello, Delilah, it's Hannah, hows the photoshoot going? Any problems?"

Delilah answered her cell phone. "Hannah, they're doing nude shots. I'm not going to stay quiet, you know. You better get your butt over here, because I'm about to cause some major freaking trouble. Hurry."

She could not stay silent any longer. "Gavin!" she called out, drawing attention to herself.

This is the best I can do, Gav. It's up to you now, she thought. Time to play an award-winning role.

"Hey, Cecilia," she called. "I got a job offer from Elemental. The rival company for QC. Seems they think I'd make a good model. It's a rather tempting offer."

She mouthed to Gavin, "Run. Now! And don't forget your clothes."

Then she said to Cecilia, "But then I realized, I'd rather stay at Queen's Clothes, just to spite you."

She slowly moved her body to create beautifull poses and eyed the camera. So she would look in the camera.

"I'm so sorry" she muttered as her lips were pressedagainst his.

She posed some more and squeezed his hand again. This is so weird. We're actually kissing...
She moved her hands a little and then the photographer spoke.

"Yes, good, good. Chemistry! Chemistry!"

Gavin felt so uncomfortable pressed against Cecilia, naked and having photographs being taken of him. He could feel Cecilia taking the kiss to the next level and he didn't know what to do, pulling back would put him directly into the firing line of the camera in a very awkward place so he just kissed her, raising his eyes to the ceiling

"Yes, good, good. Chemistry! Chemistry!" the photographer called

Gavin felt himself being pulled towards Cecilia and he started to panic, feeling her hands touching his bare body. This is so weird. he thought, moving his hands onto her back so the photo would work a little better. He heard his name being called out and he immediately pulled away, gving Cecilia a small smile and then looked up at Delilah

"Run. Now! And don't forget your clothes." Delilah mouthed at him

Gavin nodded and snatched up his boxers, pulling them on and ran back into the changing room where a bouncer was waiting to check no one was intruding.

Hannah was shocked to hear what was going on down at 'Fashion TV'

"Nude shots, we never agreed to that!" Hannah said running down the stairs "Um Okay . . . Delilah? Try and cause something that would stop the photoshoot for 5 minutes. I'll be there as soon as I can" Hannah said hanging up.

Hannah was soon outside the office and started to run down to fashion TV her feet started to hurt but she perservedered. 'Nearly there' she thought

Delilah continued to call out stuff, in order to distract everyone.

"Besides, if you were doing nude shots, you could have at least gotten a seasoned pro, like me. Haven't you seen the stuff I did when I was younger? Come on, I just had a job offer, based on those shots. But, if you wanted to go for an amateurish look, fine."

She smirked. "Or am I too old for that kind of stuff now? Am I over the hill? Am I ancient, antique, old and wrinkled?"

She snickered. "But whatever, right? Queen's Clothing was built on controversy, wasn't it?"

Cecilia doesn't care, does she? As long as she gets to kiss Gavin and feel on him, she doesn't care about what the media will say, what it will or won't do to the company. But I know.

Gavin walked back onto set when he heard Delilah calling out that she should be the one modelling. He smirked and raised his eyebrows

"If you want raunchy nude shots, Delilah and I will pose together, we're engaged after all!" he said, putting his arms around her

He looked back at Cecilia nervously, wondering what she was going to say

Delilah wrapped her arms tightly around Gavin, eyes narrowed.

You want him, you have to go through me, she thought fiercely. He's mine. Hannah better get here soon.

"Hannah will be here soon," she whispered to Gavin. "She said the nude shoot wasn't supposed to happen, so we'll get that all cleared up."

She smiled a little at Gavin.

Let Cecilia fire me. I'll get Alexander to help me out. See what that does for her company.

"What say you, Miss Queen?" she asked.

Cecilia smirked.

"You know what, I'll just fire you, so you can go and take the other job offer. Ok?" she said.

"You'd like that, won't you? Because I just realized, I don't really need you, since the only thing you do at the office is kiss Gavin, have sex. And I can fire you for that, so no case. You're rude to me, ruin photoshoots and ruin business. That's a reason to fire someone, so go to Elemental, have fun! Goodbye Delilah!" she waved at her and then looked at Gavin.

"Probably you'll go too now, so, goodbye to you to." she said, nodding.

Gavin's jaw dropped as Cecilia fired Delilah, seeming pleased about it. Although Delilah didn't exactly look particularly frazzled by it

"I don't think so Cecilia" he spoke up, putting his arms around Delilah, "I'm co-owner of this company, and I say she's not fired. We have to make those sorts of decisions together...remember!"

He walked over to Cecilia and pressed his lips against her forehead gently,

"So...are we going to be saying goodbye to you?" he asked, a smug smile on his face

"Don't go acting like that. And don't even pretend!" she snapped.

"Like that's going to change my mind." she pushed him away. "Don't think you can play me like that, because you can't."
She looked at him. He had a smile that could tell you a whole story. A story that would break her, again, again and again.

"I'm serious." she snapped. "You can talk to me about this, without her in the room, since this is business, and that's between Owners."

She sighed. "I expected you to be more serious about this."

Gavin smirked and put his hand into Delilah's, pulling her towards him

"I really don't know what you want me to say!" he said to Cecilia, raising his eyebrows at her, "do you want me to say I love you?? Get over it!"

He felt very self-conscious in just his boxers and pulled Delilah in front of him a little so she was covering him. The photographers looked around sheepishly and one of them clicked the camera nervously

"Erm, we don't mind which two of you pose. But we need some shots for the company billboards that are going up. The engaged ones are fine." a photographer said

Gavin looked at Delilah,

"You want to do it?" he asked, touching her neck gently, "we can clear the room for us babe."

She smirked and walked over to him. "Go to h*ll" she said and smacked him in the face.

"I'll talk to you later, whever you feel like working." she said and walked to the chaning room, where she changed into her own clothes.

"F*ck him" she whispered as she walked out of the building. She got into her car and drove home carefully. She stopped the car, got out and walked into the appartment building. She got in the elevator pressed the 'penthouse' button and waited for it to ding. She walked out and walked into her appartment.

Delilah bit her lip. "I think we should wait for Hannah. If anyone will know how to deal with this, it's her. At least, that's how I feel," she said.

Damn it, Hannah, where are you? she thought. You said you'd be here! And now all this craziness is going on. You better be able to do something!

She squeezed tightly at Gavin's hands, her eyes wide and fearful. She didn't know what to do or what to say or how to act. She just knew that this was a situation she did not like and she wanted to get out of, one way or another.

"Hannah said she'd be here shortly," she said nervously. "Let's just wait for her, hm?"

Gavin smiled gently and put his arm around Delilah

"Okay babe, we don't have to..." he started but was interrupted as Cecilia smacked him hard in the face.

He stumbled backwards, caught of guard and put his hand to his cheek

"What the hell..." he mumbled, glaring at the back of her as she walked away. She'd be d*mned if he ever spoke to her again. He took out his cellphone and sent her a quick text, taking out his anger

He turned back to Delilah and dragged her into the changing rooms where he sat down, his fingers still massaging the bright red mark on his cheek where he'd been slapped

"This is so sh*t!" Gavin mumbled, his eyes stinging in pain. Cecilia sure could hit hard and it was like she'd thrown everything she'd ever felt into that slap

Delilah grabbed up a scrap of cloth and grabbed a bottle of water from the mini-fridge in the dressing room. She wrapped the bottle with the cloth and handed it to Gavin.

"Here," she said softly. "Put this on your cheek."

She sighed. "It's my fault. She really shouldn't have hit you. I'd have actually felt a lot better if she had slapped me," Delilah murmured. "It's all my damn fault."

She wrapped her arms around Gavin. "When, or if, Hannah gets her butt over here, I'm going to tell her what happened. I wish Amber was here. She'd at least have something funny to say to cheer us up."

All my fault. All these problems are my fault.

"Hannah suggested I do something to halt the nude shoot," she said weakly.

"If she'd hit you I'd have quit right there and then. Nobody hits my girl," he mumbled

He kissed her palm gently and slid down further on the seat in the changing room

"Just don't go back out there. That'll halt the nude shoot," he whispered, closing his eyes momenterily, "can you pass my shirt? I don't want to be half naked when I pass out."

Delilah grabbed Gavin's shirt and handed it to him. "Want me to get someone? Need me to get a drink for you, or something to eat?" she asked worriedly.

She squeezed his hands tightly. "No one hits my fiance and gets away with it either, sweetie. I don't like it when people hurt the ones I care most about."

She sighed. "Hannah must have gotten stuck in traffic, or passed out, or forgotten us by now," she said. "I know that sounds less than optimistic, but then again, we just had a less than cheerful experience."

She paused. "So, the question remains: what now? What will we do?"

I'm asking him because I don't know. I don't know what to do anymore about this kind of stuff, she thought. And that scares me.

Hannah's feet started to hurt. 'I shouldn't have worn my high heels today, always remember Hannah, sensible shoes!' Hannah kicked off her shoes and left them by the side of the road. She started to run but gradually stopped. 'Where was Fashion TV?" She thought She looked around and couldn't see it anywhere. She ran down a few streets looking for it but to no avail. She asked a few people but they didn't answer instead just carried on. 'What am I thinking, it's rush hour!' Hannah was about to call Delilah when a tramp called out to her

"Looking for 'Fashion TV'? It's three blocks that way" he said looking down a long road

"Oh thanks you kind man" Hannah said giving him a big hug "You may have just saved my life!" Hannah then got out her purse and placed a couple of $20 bills into his hand and charged off in the direction he'd said. A few minutes later she had arrived outside 'Fashion TV' As she was about to go throught the main entrance Cecilia barged passed her and angrily got into her car 'Oh No what's happened?' She thought terrified. When she reached the set and saw the set she saw only one man on it. The photographer she marched up to him and confronted him

"Are you the photographer?"

"Yeh" He replied "What If I am?"

"I just came to deliver a message" Hannah said moving close "THIS!" And with that Hannah kneed him hard in the groin and he was on the ground squirming

"Ah f*cking hell! What did you do that for!"

"You knew that it was suppose to be Gavin with just his top off and Cecilia, In her bra and panties. It was never a nude shoot and they were never meant to kiss. Now you've got your interview and you will get that picture. But not with Gavin and Cecilia. We will send two proffessional models down here to do the shoot. Oh and finally you are to tell no one about this and you are going to give us a glowing reference to your bosses and say it was your idea to get different models or I will tell your bosses about your nude shoot Idea. Got It?" Hannah smirked at him and walked off to the changing area. She soon found Gavin and Deliah in one cubicle

"Okay, so what happened?" she asked

Gavin shrugged and took his shirt from Delilah, shrugging it onto his shoulders and left it unbuttoned across his chest. His cheek still stung but the pain in his head was easing and he no longer felt like he was about to faint. Cecilia had sure smacked him hard

"Nah I'm okay babe," he said to Delilah, sitting up and put his arms around her, "love you."

He smiled and stood up, poking his head back out at the set and saw the photographers getting ticked off

"When's Hannah gunna get here? I need out!"

Cecilia stared at the message he sent her for almost ten minutes. She then closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. She created a new message and started typing.

You don't know how it feels, she began.
You don't know how it feels when no one loves or likes you even when you try. And then, when you think you found someone who respects you, and accepts you as you are. He or she is taken away from you. Just because he's in love and you don't get the chance to even talk. You really don't. And now, it's even worse, by best friend now hates me. And yeah, I'll try to have a nice life. she pressed 'send' and closed her eyes, she leaned back.

Delilah smiled in relief when Hannah walked in. "Just the woman we were hoping to see," she said, embracing the woman tightly.

She and Gavin described everything that happened, in detail, trying to make sure that they left nothing out.

"...And she slapped Gavin before she left!" Delilah concluded, pointing to the red mark on Gavin's cheek.

She bit her lip. "Things got really crazy, as I said, but... well... you're here now. And you're responsible enough to know what to do. I'm really, really happy to see you right now."

She wrapped her arms around Gavin, squeezing him. "Today hasn't exactly been the best day for any of us."

"Okay" Hannah said stepping out of the cubible. "We need to get back to HQ and get two models down here to finish the shoot. The photographer says he's fine with the change in models" Hannah said stepping over the photographer "Okay so 'Fashion TV' is sorted but we don't know about Cecilia. If Cecilia hasn't got her heart in the company then someone else will have to step up and try to get some good publicity. Gavin don't go speak to her. She loves you and everytime you fight and she cries and then you go chase her. That gives her the wrong signals. So for the next couple of days, try to stay away from her. Let her cry" Hannah said outside hailing a taxi. When one eventually pulled up Hannah got inside and poked her head out and said

"Also, congrats on getting engaged" Before getting back inside

Delilah nodded. "Thank you," she said to Hannah.

She turned to Gavin. "Come on, sweetie. Let's get back to QC and see if we can get some models willing to pose for the billboard. Worst case scenario, you and I will pose, right?"

She helped her fiance up and kissed him. "Love you, honey. Now, are you up for driving, or do you want me to?"

Hannah is a very smart woman. She's very observant, and what she said is the best option. Why isn't she in charge of a company like this? She'd handle it well. Oh well. Time to get back to the Building of Drama.

She grinned at Gavin. "Told you she'd sort out everything for us."

Gavin smiled and put his arms around Delilah, smiling over at Hannah

"Sorry I was so b*tchy to you in the first couple of days," he said to her apologetically, "hope we can be mates!"

He kissed Delilah softly and the three of them walked out into the parking lot, and Gavin climbed in the drivers seat

"Yea I'm okay to drive. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I collapsed after being hit by a girl!" he teased

Delilah laughed and climbed into the passenger seat. She reached over and messed up Gavin's hair.

"See? Everything's taken care of. To the Hell Building," she joked.

She sat back and relaxed. See? she told herself. Hannah came through for us! She totally freaking rocks!

"Looks like things are looking up for us now, hm?" she said.

Maybe today isn't so bad after all, she thought.

She pulled her seat belt on. "Safety first," she said.

Gavin smiled and stuck his tongue out at Delilah, pressing his foot down on the pedal and set off down the highway. After ten minutes he took a sharp left and five minutes later pulled up at his own house

"Short stop!" he teased

He pulled Delilah's hand and dragged her into his house, slamming the front door behind them and pulled her close to him

"Love you hun!" Gavin said, messing with her hair

He kissed her neck passionately, smiling down at her warmly. He then walked into the kitchen and placed a couple of creams on his cheek to stop the stinging and then ran up to his bedroom to change

"You can come watch!" Gavin joked, calling down the stairs to Delilah

Delilah giggled and walked to the bedroom to watch.

"Hey," she said, "someone from work might have tried to contact you earlier. Check your phone just in case."

She dug through her boxes of stuff, trying to find a more comfortable top. After a few minutes, she found a nice red silk blouse and pulled it on. "There. Much more my style," she remarked.

She hugged Gavin and flopped onto the bed. "Can I call in sick? Or dead? Or just plain sick of drama and stupidity?" she asked, watching him.

She rolled onto her stomach and buried her face in the pillow, relaxing.

Gavin laughed and waggled his bare butt at Delilah, smacking it a few times playfully

"Oh please, you love my butt!" he teased.

He pulled on a pair of boxers and jeans and checked his cell phone, sighing when he saw a message from Cecilia

"You're my prisonerrrrrrr!" he teased in a deep voice, pinning her onto the bed

Delilah squealed and squirmed around.

"You're evil! Who pulls a sneak attack?!" she giggled. "Just remember, I know where you sleep! I can get revenge on you when you least expect it!"

She rolled over, exerting herself a bit, and sending Gavin off the edge of the bed. She peered over at him, sprawled out on the floor.

"I'm an ex-bartender, sweetie. I'm used to throwing around people bigger than I am. Just because I'm out of practice doesn't mean I can't beat you up," she teased.

She tossed a pillow at him and rolled away from the edge, knowing he'd try and pull her down with him.

"I know how you think, Mr. Ruppetts. Your tricks will not work on me!" she called out mockingly.

Cecilia sighed as she got the message. He's probably lying. After this, there's no way he'd still like me.

She pressed 'New message'.
I just don't know what to do anymore. And there's no one who can solve that...

"He really had no idea..." she sighed and lay down on her sofa. She looked at the rooftops of other buildings and closed her eyes. She was so high, one jump would end it all. But this wasn't what she wanted, no. She wouldn't do that. Ever. She wouldn't give up.

Gavin hit the floor with a bang and laughed as Delilah threw a pillow at him. He reached up to pull her off the bed but she moved away quickly

"I know how you think, Mr. Ruppetts. Your tricks will not work on me!" she called out mockingly

Gavin laughed and jumped to his feet, crawling slowly back onto the bed, towards Delilah and hummed the Jaws theme tune out loud, smiling mischieviously

"I can get yoouuuu. Don't make me tickle you!" he giggled

He dived on top of Delilah and began to roll off the bed, dragging Delilah with him. They both hit the floor and he pinned her to the ground, licking her cheek playfully

"I used to be on the football team. I know a few moves myself!" Gavin laughed

Delilah laughed and tried to crawl away.

"Oh noooo," she giggled. "Don't hurt me. I'm so small and weak and... um... cute."

She tried to make her eyes look big and adorable, like a cartoon character. Then, she reached out and tickled Gavin, and then used his being distracted to crawl away quickly.

"Ha ha! Looks like I've got the upper hand!" she called out, looking over her shoulder. She reached up and grabbed the bedroom door and turned the knob.

"Later!" she yelled, jumping up and running out the bedroom door and down the stairs to the living room.

She looked around, and, after a moment of thought, dove into the nearest closet, giggling.

Gavin smirked and fell backwards as Delilah tickled him, looking up as she ran out of the bedroom. Damn it, he giggled. He ran to his closet and pulled a red sweater over his head, tying a silver pendant around his neck and then followed Delilah quickly out of the bedroom

"I'm coming for you!" Gavin teased.

He felt a vibration in his pocket and checked his cell again

I just don't know what to do anymore. And there's no one who can solve that...

He sighed and brushed his hair with his hands, quickly typing a reply

She giggled and poked at Gavin. "What do you want? Why do you follow me? Stalker!" she teased.

She stepped out from behind the coats and hugged Gavin.

"Come on, goof," she said, shutting the closet door, "we need to get back to work before everyone thinks we died or eloped."

She giggled and tickled Gavin.

She walked over to a closet and took out some clothes she bought the day before. She put them on and posed in front of the mirror. She was pretty yes, but why did she feel like she was the most ugly person in the whole world.

"DO we HAVE to go back to work!" he sighed, giggling gently

He wrapped her arms around Delilah and bit and sucked on her neck, a place he loved to kiss

"Let's elope!" he said, picking her up into his strong arms and put her arms around his neck, "let's get married right now!"

Delilah laughed. "You're joking, right?" she said, squirming a little. "You know that we would have to get blood tests done and all kinds of other crap too?"

She giggled and poked at Gavin. "Do you have a thing for married women or something?" she teased.

"And yes, we do have to get back to work. We need to make sure there's models for the ad, not to mention paperwork to fill out, coffee to make, and so on."

I'm being the logical, reasonable one? Wow. Crazy. My friends from high school would never believe it! she thought, snickering.

"So, try to control your enthusiasm for a while, hot stuff. It's bad to rush into stuff. Besides, I'm not even properly dressed," she snickered.

She messed up Gavin's hair. "And your hair's all messed up!"

Gavin smiled and pretended to drop Delilah, snatching her back into his arms at the last minute and grinned at her

"Stop being so sensible!" he teased, biting down gently on her nose, "what happened to the crazy girl I fell for?" he giggled

He put Delilah back onto her feet and gave her a squeeze, walking into the kitchen to make a quick drink and then checked his reflection in the mirror to smarten his hair. He sighed heavily and drained his mug of coffee quickly before walking back over to Delilah

"I'll control my enthusiasm," Gavin said with a warm cheeky smile, "as long as you tell me you love me!"

Delilah grinned. "That, I can do," she said. She kissed Gavin's cheek. "I love you, sweetie."

Love you more than you can imagine, she thought.

Gavin grinned and kissed Delilah softly, running his hands across her back

He smirked at her, moving his kiss further down her face and onto her neck

She gave Gavin a naughty grin. "If you agree to go now, I promise extra lipstick therapy as a means of compensation," she said. "However, if you fight me on this, no fun at all for you. So, think carefully, Mr. Ruppetts, or you might find yourself sleeping on your own sofa."

She fixed her hair, peering into a mirror. "You have three minutes to decide." She grabbed up the car keys. "I'll be waiting in the car while you decide."

She kissed Gavin's cheek and walked out the door and sat in the car, waiting.

Cecilia walked around the room. There wasn't much she had to do, or could do. Except go to work and watch some people doing stuff they shouldn't do at work. She wanted to be free and go wherever she liked and most important, be loved. She needed to talk someone, but didn't know how or to who. She could get a dog, and talk to it but that wouldn't be her. She wouldn't be able to look after it, and the poor thing would be given away.

Gavin laughed and watched Delilah strut out of the house, walking to his car. Hmm...extra lipstick therapy! How could I refuse!

He grabbed a long black coat and threw it over his arm as he walked out of the front door, locking it securely behind him and got into the drivers seat, forcing Delilah over to the passenger side

"This is still my car!" he teased, putting the keys in the ignition, "you can have everything else that's mine: but not my car!" he giggled

Before he started the car, he reached over, grabbed the top of her shirt and pulled Delilah's lips to his, embracing her in a passionate kiss. He pulled away and smirked sheepishly

"I made my decision to go with you," Gavin replied, beginning down the highway to Queens Clothes, "but you have to give me a passionate smooch every ten minutes or else you won't get anything from me tonight!" he teased

Delilah pretended to pout. Then, she smirked at Gavin.

"You can say I won't get anything, but I know you won't actually follow through on it. You love me too much. Want me too much. Need me too much." She raised an eyebrow. "Am I spot on, darling?"

She rested her head on Gavin's shoulder. "You're lucky I love you so much, or you wouldn't get away with that kind of threat," she teased.

She kissed Gavin's cheek. "Remember now, we have to behave at work. No naughty business. Save that for when we're at home, okay? Or else, I'll start wearing my really ugly, unattractive stuff to work, to deter you."

Gavin stuck his tongue out at Delilah as he drove down the road. Every moment he spent with her, he was falling more deeply and more passionately in love with her, and it was scaring him how much he loved her. He'd die for her, and even worse, he'd kill for her.

"You're right," he replied after a moment, smiling down at her, "I love, want and need you far too much to not touch you for a night!"

Delilah smirked. "Weakling," she teased. "I have you so whipped," she continued, laughing and giggling, occasionally poking Gavin's arm.

Cecilia walked, after a moment of thinking, out of her appartment and got in the elevator, which got down to the bottom. She walked out of it and left the building. She then saw the car of Gavin. She saw him sitting there and sighed. She started walking to QC with her hands in her pockets and her head down so she didn't have to look at him.
"Oh god... can it even get worse?" she asked herself and she continued walking. It was cold, and she should have put on some more clothing, but she didn't care. What actually did care now? It felt like nothing cared. As she walked down the road, she saw the car was going the exact same way.
"Great!" she said out loud. She started walking faster, which wasn't really working since she couldn't walk so fast.

Delilah giggled and chased after Gavin. "Dang it, these shoes aren't made for running in!" she yelled at him, finally catching up and leaning against him, catching her breath.

She paused for a moment, thinking, and then spoke.

She glanced up at Gavin. "I thought of something else-- we're going to need witnesses to sign the license when we get married. I was thinking maybe Amber and her brother. And maybe we can invite Hannah along, and afterwards, we can go out to eat somewhere nice," she suggested. "And with the money we saved on not having a big blowout wedding... a nice honeymoon!"

Gavin laughed as Delilah chased him, complaining about her shoes. She leant against him and he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pressing the button for the 4th floor

Delilah snickered. "If Mom comes along for the ceremony, the whole time, she'll be yelling, 'You better get pregnant on the honeymoon,' and 'I want grandkids.' That kind of would ruin the mood, don't you think? Not that it wouldn't be funny, but, you know how it is."

She pulled out her cell phone and checked the schedule on it. "Let's see... the next two weeks look pretty empty so far, as do several days scattered throughout the next few months," she said. "I think I'll let you pick the date. Just don't make it too soon-- I want to get something nice to wear. And not in white-- I'd end up spilling stuff all over it!"

She giggled a little, thinking to herself, Oh my God, I can't believe we're actually discussing it! It's hard to believe that soon, I'll be a married woman! Wow. The people I graduated with would never believe it!

Gavin laughed at Delilah's comment and gave her a kiss, ruffling her hair affectionately

"I really do need to meet your mother though!" he teased

The elevator doors opened and he pulled Delilah out of it and towards his own office, leaving the door open and then sat down on the desk as she sat on his chair

"Hmm, how about two weeks today?" he suggested, checking the schedule on his computer, "and you don't have to wear white. How about I wear white?"

Gavin smirked and pulled out his cellphone, making a quick note of what he had to do before the wedding and then sighed happily. He couldn't believe he'd be marrying the girl of his dreams in less than a month --and then the honeymoon! It was more than he'd ever dreamed possible

"You could take Hannah or Amber dress shoping with you!" Gavin laughed, "and what other preperations do we need to be making? I'll sort it all out babe."

Delilah thought. "Two weeks from today is fine. As for other stuff that has to be done... well, it might be a good idea to make reservations for the restaurant, once we have a definite head count. That way, we'll know for sure that we'll have food, right? Also, we need to decide where we'll go for our honeymoon, how long, etc."

She tried to think of everything else that needed to be taken care of. "If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. It's our day, and whether we wear nice clothes or sackcloth, it doesn't change what's going on. I refuse to be one of those creepy Bridezillas. I'm not going to control every aspect. Since we're just going to be going to a Justice of Peace, it won't be necessary to go the 'tuxedo and long fancy dress' routine. You can wear a nice suit, and I can just get a nice dress somewhere. I'm not going to tell anyone else what to wear-- as long as it's clean and not torn up, it's fine. And hey, maybe I will invite my parents, just so everyone can meet them."

Gavin smiled and chuckled to himself, kicking his feet boyishly as he imagined their wedding. He couldn't wait, and the ceremony Delilah seemed to be planning was exactly what he'd expected her to want. It wasn't going to be the traditional wedding his parents would want him to have, and they'd probably disapprove of Delilah's controversial ideas, but Gavin loved it

"If I could, I'd marry you right now," he said, smiling down at her

He fixed his hair and got out a few bits of paper, checking through them. He then took out his cellphone and made a phonecall to his assistant.

"Honeymoon...wedding...two weeks today...somewhere gorgeous...price doesn't matter..." were the main words he said and then hung up, grinning over at Delilah

"Honeymoon in Hawaii suit you?" Gavin asked, pulling Delilah towards him, "and I have the most fantastic wedding rings for the two of us. My mum bought me them when I was a kid, and I'd love it if we could use them..."

Delilah grinned. "Hawaii sounds great," she said, hugging Gavin. "But I bet your parents are going to be ticked that we're not going to go for the big white wedding. As for my parents, well... Dad doesn't care, as long as I'm happy, and Mom doesn't care, as long as she gets grandkids, one way or another."

She leaned against him. "I hope your parents like me. It would be terrible if we didn't get along," she remarked. "I really want them to like me and for all of us to get along well."

Oh my God! Hawaii! Wow! she thought excitedly. I haven't been there yet. I've been to beaches all over the freaking world, but not Hawaii. Go figure. Well, now I'll get to go, and with the man I love. I just hope nothing happens to ruin our plans.

She grinned up at Gavin, trying to imagine the rings. If the engagement ring was this elaborate, I can only imagine what the wedding rings will look like. Well, it doesn't matter. As long as Gav and I are together, that's all that matters.

"My parents will love you because I do," he said softly, "and because a girl has finally tamed me! If they don't like you at first, I'm sure it won't take long for you to win them round: with your dazzling smile and gorgeousness!" he teased.

He smiled again happily and sent his assistant a quick text message, confirming Hawaii for two people, and then hugged Delilah

"I'll get us the biggest honeymoon suite on the island" Gavin said, letting himself think about the two of them together, it didn't even matter if they had to sleep on tents on the beach. As long as they were together and they were married, everything was perfect

"Great," Delilah said, grinning. "Now, let's get to our offices and try to actually accomplish some work," she suggested.

She headed to her office and sat down. She noticed that there was a note waiting for her, from Aaron. She read it a few times, and then frowned a little. "Thanks, but no thanks," she muttered.

She turned her computer on and checked her e-mail. Then, she sent an e-mail to her parents:

Hey, Mom and Dad! It's me, Delilah. Two weeks from today, Gavin and I are getting married. It would be great if you could come along for the ceremony (just a quick JoP thing, not a big white wedding), and also to meet the in-laws. We're also supposed to go on vacation to Hawaii. Isn't that awesome? Anyways, just sent this along to let you know about the wedding. Love you guys both!

She sent the e-mail and then sat back, eyes closed, picturing everything in her mind. I need to find a dress, she thought. And one that's actually tasteful and suited for the occasion.

Cecilia entered Queen's Clothes. She hid her face from everyone and just walked straight to her office. She opened the door and didn't care to close it. She sat down behind her desk and booted the computer. She started typing some plans for the next couple of weeks which involved: Fashion Shows, Party's, Meeting's with important people, A fashion show with another company in Amsterdam and a new clothing line.

Her telephone rang and she picked it up.
"Hello? Yes you're speaking with her. Delilah Stanton? Hmm, yeah, I know. No, I don't. Oh please, if she wants to leave then it's her choice. So you can ask her to come work for you. Yes I know Elemental will try to break Queen's Clothes. Yes, I know you're from Elemental. Why are you actually calling? Oh... ok. Well, goodbye Mr." she hung up and continued typing.

Gavin smiled as Delilah left his office and he sat down on his chair, preparing to work. After half an hour of solid work, he sat back and sighed heavily. He knew Cecilia would be in her office right now, and figured maybe he should go see her: apologize or something like that.

As he walked along to Cecilia's office, he brightened the somber look on his face and brushed his hair with his hands, hoping she didn't hate him too much

"C?" Gavin said soflty, pushing the door to her office open, "you okay?"

"I lost you." she repeated. She never felt this way before, she wasn't full of hate, she wasn't angry. She was just sad, dissapointed and wished she didn't exist. She wished she never had to take over that company.

"You didn't lose me," Gavin said, frowning a little sadly, "I still want to be your mate. I do honestly like you C, I'm don't hate you. Never have."

He smiled and jumped down from his desk

"Want to go get a coffee with me?" he asked, nudging his head in the direction of the cafeteria

"Bob's?" she asked, mentioning Bob's Coffee. She tried to avoid eye contact and walked out of the room.

As they left Queen's Clothes and sighed a couple of times. "Can't we just be... not awkard? Because, that's what annoys me the most of this all.
The fact that you kept telling me you wanted to be friends, but it was always so awkard. And I just don't get it. There's something that stops us from having fun." she then shut her mouth. Wanting him to say something, and it didn't really matter what, except that she didn't want him to get angry
at her.

No one will ever know what I feel for him. Maybe I don't even get it. I am losing him, even when it looks like verything is ok now.

Gavin followed Cecilia into Bob's Coffee and took a seat at a nearby table for two. He raised his eyebrows curiously and sighed

"Okay, things won't get awkward." he replied finally

He glanced around the coffee shop and ordered two cappucinos, waiting patiently for them to arrive

"So..." he started, smiling at Cecilia, "how are you? We haven't talked properly since you were in hospital. Both Delilah and I were very upset when we thought you'd died!"

She looked at him.
How are you!? I'm clearly not ok. But well.
"I'm err... not so good." she said. "For me it's kind of obvious but maybe you didn't notice." she joked.

"I bought a new appartment, a penthouse. It's really big and comfy and... empty. Well... it's stuffed with furniture but it seems so empty." she said.
Emptyness....
"It's kind of weird... that we're sitting here now. Unreal actually. I mean, we were still fighting a couple of hours ago, I hit you, left and spend the whole day on the couch, staring at some random spot at the wall." she said, trying to put some happiness in it.

He sighed and looked back at Cecilia

"I need to buy a new house really. I've been living in the same old dump for years!" he teased. Of course, that wasn't true. His $2 million house was gorgeous and still as fabulous as the day he'd bought it a year ago

"Just think...a couple of hours ago we were at a really awkward photoshoot and interview!" he added

He sat back and took a long sip of his coffee, smiling as the hot liquid ran down his throat, warming him

"Why did you hit me?" Gavin asked after a few minutes

"You were mean and challenging me." she said, laughing a little. Like he doesn't know.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have. But don't you get how it would feel when someone does that to you?" she looked at him. "We should do something else, something new. We've actually got nothing to talk about now. Except... that." she sipped her coffee.

"And why do people keep calling me a devil? I mean, that i've got feelings too, doesn't mean I'm a devil or something." she then was silent for a moment. "Elemental called, they want Delilah, and Delilah wants to go to Elemental doesn't she?" she asked. "And when Delilah leaves, you'll leave, wont you?"

Gavin slouched down in his chair and cupped his mug between his hands, keeping himself warm

"What do you want to do then?" he asked, flicking his hair from his face, "not too far away from work as I need to do some weddin...some planning."

He shut his mouth quickly, realising Cecilia didn't want to hear about his approaching wedding, especially as she wasn't exactly on Delilah's guest list

"I don't think D will leave for Elemental," Gavin continued, "and no I'm not leaving QC."

She sighed and then opened her mouth.
"Why do you want to be my friend? I'm a b*tch, a pathetic woman. I don't deserve it."
It's true, I really don't deserve this. She sipped her coffee again. What did he see in her?

"The only thing I deserve is a ruined company which brings much more problems." she muttered.
"I want to know what you see in me. I mean... apart from all the evil, jealousy and other bad stuff." she said. "Tell me." she continued, looking at him. She needed to know, maybe he just wanted to keep her liking him so there wouldn't be any problems with work.

He paused and looked around the coffee shop nervously, checking there weren't any nosy reporters or photographers

"I thought you didn't want things to be awkward..." Gavin stammered out, not making eye contact with her, "can't we just talk normally?"

She looked at him. "What can we talk about?" she asked, trying to make eye contact.

She didn't look up, she didn't even make a noise.

He watched her bury her head in her hands and he pulled her to her feet

Gavin smiled at her and then walked out of the coffee shop and back to the office

"Can we start again?" she asked as she grabbed his wrist.

"Please. I'm tired of this, I want to be friends but there are a couple of things that keep ruining it and I would like to avoid them. I only need your help, since you're the one who's involved with being my friend the most. Gavin cocked his head to one side and listened to what Cecilia had to say. He pulled his arm from her grasp and gave her a small smile

"Okay, we can talk here without no one interrupting," he began, signalling the deserted park they were standing beside, "and you need to tell me what keeps ruining it. What am I doing that's making you mention stuff and ask questions? What do you not want me to do?"

He paused and smiled nervously at Cecilia

"Just remember. I am engaged and you aren't going to change that. Okay?"

Her face changed. "Nevermind" she said and sighed. She walked past him.

"What do you think BOTHERS ME? It isn't the fact that everything is ok!" she called.
"You know what bothers me too? The fact that if i'm unhappy, you're happy as hell just because i'm not there to bother you or anything. I mean, do you even care? As long as you can marry Delilah, everything is ok! Isn't that what you think? You know what, go marry her, then everything will be ok. I'll tell you, IT WONT BE OK."

Gavin looked expectantly at Cecilia, wincing a little as though he expected another smack in the face

"Nevermind" she said and sighed

He sighed and rolled his eyes

"Come talk to me when you're ready," he said as he walked past her

He walked away from her, not even bothering to go argue with her as it would only be useless. He'd tried to be nice and she didn't want to co-operate. He was engaged and she couldn't accept it: that wasn't his problem

She ran after him, and grabbed his hand. "Save the company." she whispered.

She looked at him and then held him for a while, without losing the grip on his hand.

"I beg you." she kissed his cheek and stopped hugging him. She stopped holding his hand and a key was now lying in his hand. She waved at him and started walking to the end of the street, forcing herself to keep walking and go home.

"Goodbye" she whispered to herself. "It'll never work out, no matter how much we're alike or how much I love him."

Gavin looked down at the key Cecilia had left in his hand and he groaned. What is she doing? Don't tell me she's going to go and do something dramatic! He sighed and chased after her, snatching her arm

"What are you doing?" he asked, raising his eyebrows, "don't!"

"Don't do what? Leave and save the company? It's best... for me, and for you." she said. Tears filled her eyes, but she kept them back.

"I just have to leave. It will make everything better. The cause off everything will be gone." she closed her eyes and quickly wiped her tears.

"Maybe I'll end up with no money in a little appartment with no electricity and water, maybe I'll meet a man, which I wont learn to love fairly. Because I really do love you, and nothing's ever going to change that, not even an other man. But you know what? Then at least you're happy, and the company's saved."

She said it... she now actually really was saying she would leave. She could tell herself nothing would stop her. But something could. If she leaved, she had to force herself to step on the plane. She had to force herself not to cry every single night.

Gavin sighed and put his arms comfortingly around Cecilia, holding her

"Don't leave. What good would there be in that?"

He paused and released her again, pursing his lips

"But if you really think you have to, I won't stop you," he continued, squeezing her hand gently, "but don't say you'll never love again. You'll get older and fall in love with lots of men, and one day you'll meet the man of your dreams and you'll be kissing him one day when he'll ask about your previous lovers. And you'll say you fell in love with a guy who worked for you, and I bet you won't be able to remember my name!"

When he released her, she held him again.

"I will, you are actually the first guy who's really special to me. And you would never understand how much I loved you." she whispered. "And every night I beg you would love me too, but still, I know you wont. It feels so good, falling in love, holding the one you love. But after a while, you know it isn't right and you leave." she continued.
"Ok then, I'm going to pack today, feel free to come." she released him but still held his hand.

"Don't ever forget me" she said and looked at him.

Gavin sighed and pulled away from Cecilia, shaking his head

"You don't love me," he said softly, "you just think you do. But I assure you that one day you'll fall in love with that special guy and he'll love you too and you'll forget all about me! Don't doubt yourself, you're beautiful and you're going to make some guy very happy --and there's a special guy out there that you're destined to be with!"

He put his arms around her again and sighed

"I'm sorry I couldn't make you happy..." he whispered

He let go and smiled down at her,

"I won't forget you. Make sure you ring me occasionally for a catch up!" he laughed

"What would actually prove to you that I love you? Killing myself? Oh right, I already did that. You just don't want me to love you, that's different. Or maybe, you do. But you just want me to repeat it, over and over again."

She sighed and squeezed his hand.

"You could have tried" she whispered. "And maybe I'll ring you, if you're not busy or anything."

She then opened her mouth. "Oh, now you're mentioning the 'You don't love me' thing. How do you know you love Delilah? Maybe you're the one who thinks he loves a girl."

Delilah sat in her office, typing up e-mails to her few close friends. She sent an e-mail to Amber, telling her about the wedding and asking her to come along for the "Dress Hunt," as she called it.

As she went through her e-mails, she noticed that she'd received one from Elemental. Curious, she opened it. It said:

Miss Stanton,
Recently, one of our representatives, Nathaniel Foley, met with you and asked you to be a part of the Elemental Fashions family. I asked him to be at the location in hopes of meeting you, as I was quite impressed by your work. Despite not being a professional model, you seem to be able to pull off quite a variety of looks and moods, which is just what Elemental is looking for. Next week, Elemental will need some models to show off our latest line. If you need some extra money, we'd be glad to have you on board. Consider it.

Delilah frowned and and deleted the e-mail. "I don't like Cecilia, but I'm not going to be disloyal to the company either," she muttered.

Gavin quirked his brow and took a step away from Cecilia, mentally wounded by her words

"Why would I want you to love me?" he asked, pursing his lips, "you think I like this? You think I like watching you hurt yourself and try to break me and Delilah up? You don't think I would rather have you love someone else and be loved back?"

He took another step back, frowning at Cecilia

"I know I love Delilah," he said after a moment, "I know it better than I know myself. And frankly I don't see how it's any of your business!"

"Then why do you ask me the same thing" she snapped. She looked at his face. "I hurt you, didn't I? Feels bad doesn't it? Something that kills you inside." she said as a tear fell down her cheek.

She turned around and started walking, leaving him with the key.

"Bye Gavin, take care." she said, softly crying. She continued walking and looked at her feet. No, nothing would stop her now. She would leave and never look back. At least, that's what she thought would happen. Nothing was comfirmed.

"Goodbye..." she took a deep breath and walked around the corner.

Gavin sighed and ran after Cecilia, giving her a final hug

"Cheer up! You'll be fine," he said, giving her a kiss on the forehead, "give me a call sometime."

He smiled down at her and then ran back towards the office. Holy cr*p! I'm in charge of an entire company! My already over a million dollar salary is about to double! Sh*t I'm scared! What's Delilah going to say? He ran into the lobby of Queens Clothes and headed into the elevator, taking out his cell phone

"Delilah!" he said when she answered, "Cecilia has left!" he said sadly, "she wants me to take over!"

Delilah answered her cell phone. When she heard the news, she gasped. "Gavin, please tell me you're kidding," she said. "Obviously, Cecilia is not in her right mind if that happened. Go find her!"

She bit her lip. Something is very wrong. Very.

"I don't know what happened, but if you don't go and make sure Cecilia is okay, you're sleeping on the sofa. I don't like her much, but I don't want her to get hurt or do something stupid either," she told Gavin.

She paused. "Actually, where are you? If you're nearby, I'll join you. Not much is going on here."

Gavin ran back out of the elevator and out into the street. Delilah hadn't exactly said what he was expecting, but it made sense

"I'm just down here on the street!" he said into his cell phone, waving his arms at the window where he could see the outline of Delilah on a higher floor, "come help me!"

He hung up the phone and waited for her to join him, glancing down the street at where Cecilia had disappeared to.

Delilah waved and nodded. "Be there in a second," she said.

She grabbed her purse and coat and ran down the stairs, struggling to get her coat on at the same time. She took the stairs two at a time, trying not to trip in her hurry to leave.

She finally ran outside and hurried over to Gavin.

"Which way did she go?" she asked worriedly.

Damn drama-laden company, she thought. People in and out of hospitals, nude photoshoots, and the owner acting psycho half the time. This place is bad for my stress level!

"If we hurry, we can catch up to her," Delilah said, looking around, hoping to catch a glimpse of her boss.

Gavin hugged Delilah quickly and pointed in the direction Cecilia went in.

"She went that way, but are you sure we should go after her?" he asked, grabbing back her arm, "I talked to her and she just wanted to leave."

Delilah looked at Gavin as though he had grown a second head.

"Yes, we should go after her," she said sharply. "Cecilia gave up her company to you, something that I don't think she'd normally do. She might try to do something stupid, like commit suicide. We have to make sure nothing bad happens!"

She tugged at Gavin's arm, trying to lead him in the direction that he said Cecilia had gone off in.

"Come on," she said. "Hurry."

Oh God, she thought, Cecilia, what's wrong with you now?

Gavin eventually nodded and ran in the direction Cecilia had left in, closely followed by Delilah

"She'd better not do something stupid," he muttered to himself as he ran, "but I can guess she won't be over the moon to see you!"

He looked back at Delilah and noticed her struggling to run in her high heels

"Want a piggy back?" Gavin asked, continuing to run down the street and round the corner where he spotted a red head in the distance

Delilah nodded and jumped onto Gavin's back. She laughed, despite her worry. "Great advertising for the company," she joked. "Come work at Queen's Clothes-- you get to do fun stuff like give each other piggyback rides around the building!"

She held on tightly to him. "I think I saw her over there," she said, pointing.

I hope we get to her in time. Oh God, Cecilia, don't do anything stupid, please. Don't! she thought, tightening her grip on Gavin's shoulders.

"I'm really worried about her," Delilah admitted.

I don't particularly like her, but as a fellow human, I do worry about her, she thought.

Gavin steadied himself and wrapped his arms around Delilah's legs, holding her in place on his back

"I'm worried about her too," he admitted and started to run again, "she'll be okay. I think she probably just needs to rest!"

He ran further down the road and caught up with the red head he'd seen before, but to his dismay it wasn't Cecilia

"Oops...erm...sorry!" Gavin stammered, backing away from the stranger he'd just grabbed by the arm

"Hey wait! Aren't you Gavin Ruppetts...and you're Delilah Stanton!" the stranger said, pulling out a camera, "wow!"

"Not now!" Delilah said sharply. "We can pose later. Right now, we have important business matters to attend to," she told the stranger.

The stranger frowned and raised an eyebrow, eying the two of them, puzzled.

She poked at Gavin. "Come on," she said to him. "We need to get to Cecilia, and fast!"

The stranger looked after them. "Does that mean I can't take your picture now?" she asked.

"No, damn it!" Delilah yelled. "Go track down Brad Pitt or Britney Spears, if you want pictures. We have a job to do, believe it or not!"

The stranger paused a moment and then hurried after them, snapping photos anyways.

Gavin glared at the stranger, nodding along with what Delilah was saying.

"Look we aren't celebrities! You won't get much money for those photos!" he snapped

He continued to sprint down the road with Delilah on his back, camera flashes following them all the way and he groaned. This was definately going to be front page news tomorrow!

"Please just freakin leave us alone!" he turned round and yelled at the stranger

"Just a minute. I just want a couple more photos. My son is in love with you Delilah! He has all those nude photos you did, and says he wants a private photoshoot with you. Do you think you could arrange that?" the stranger asked, clearly not getting the idea as she continued to snap photos of the two of them, "how long have you been a nude model then?" the stranger continued, "is your boyfriend okay with it?"

Delilah resisted the urge to throw her shoes at the stranger.

"Look," she said sharply. "I'm engaged. In a few weeks, I'm going to be married to the man who is currently giving me a piggyback ride, in case you didn't know. If your son likes my pictures, good for him. So do lots of other guys. But I don't do private photoshoots, except with Gavin. I only did those damn pictures because I was young and stupid and broke. And no, Gavin is not okay with me posing nude with some strange guy. Now leave us the hell alone, or I'm calling the cops."

She was getting really angry. "If you don't leave us alone, you'll either have to deal with Gavin or the cops, whoever gets to you first."

Damn weirdo, she thought bitterly.

Gavin spun around and glared at the woman, anger boiling up quickly inside of him. Who did this woman think she was. Fortunately for the stranger, Delilah reacted first, yelling at her

"If you don't leave us alone, you'll either have to deal with Gavin or the cops, whoever gets to you first." she added

Gavin nodded and slowly moved to slide Delilah off his back.

"Give me the damn camera and leave us alone!" he snapped at the woman

The stranger ignored him and continued to take pictures of Delilah, completely uncaring of anything he had to say. Clearly she was under the impression that he wasn't going to kick her a*s

"One more thing Delilah," the stranger said, pushing past Gavin to get to her, "I know it's not a usual thing, but my son would completely love you if I got you to come to him. He can organise a proper photoshoot and you could re-create some of those photos for him? Don't worry, he won't sell them or anything, just seeing you in person would be enough and he could have some more posters for his wall! He's 21, young and very good looking...if you know what I mean!"

Gavin felt like he was going to explode and pushed the woman away,

"Come on Delilah," he said angrily, pulling her away from the woman

"You don't get it, do you?" Delilah yelled. "I... am... engaged. I don't want to pose nude with some strange guy. The only guy I want seeing me naked is my fiance! I don't give a rat's a** how good-looking your son is! I don't f*cking want him! You have no f*cking sense of personal space or how idiotic you are, do you? Tell him if he wants a naked woman on his wall, go hire a damn hooker to take pictures with him!"

She ranted on and on, furious.

I am not some goddamn adult film star, so stop f*cking acting like I'm one, she thought, angrily. Calm down, she told herself. Don't need to start off the whole electronic thing again...

Gavin picked Delilah up in his arms to prevent her from going over and smacking the stranger and carried her further down the road.

"I thought maybe you were a hooker!" the woman called after her, taking more pictures, "from your numerous photoshoots you appear to be one! And you're missing out on a very good looking man!"

"She's not a porn star!" he shouted angrily back at the woman, "and go tell your f*cking son she isn't one!"

He held on tightly to Delilah and carried her round the corner, only setting her down once he was sure she'd calmed down

"Ignore her!" Gavin said, stroking her hair, "everyone knows you aren't a hooker!"

Delilah burst into tears and hid her face against Gavin's chest.

I'm not a hooker. I'm not. I've never sold myself for anything-- not for money, food, or anything else. Where does she get off calling me a hooker? she thought, upset. She's a b*tchy old hag who wants me to be miserable. And she just f*cking succeeded. Like I don't already feel bad enough about those pictures.

She finally pulled her face away from Gavin's chest and looked up at him. "This is why I decided not to go into acting or modelling," she said dryly. "Because of idiots like her, who think hooker is synonymous with other types of performing."

I hate people like her, she thought.

Gavin hugged Delilah close to him and kissed the top of her head

"Of course you're not a hooker! You're far too gorgeous and wonderful to ever to anything like that!" he purred back, stroking her chin gently

He looked back at the woman who still seemed to be snapping photos of the two of them and he scowled

"I'd hate it if you were some sort of sleazy model," he replied, nuzzling against her, "you're far to special to sell yourself that soon! Want me to go kick that woman's a*s?"

Delilah giggled and kissed Gavin's cheek. "Nah," she said, "I have a better idea. Let's give her a good show, so she has lots of pictures to take back with her. She wanted pictures. Let's give 'em to her."

She pulled Gavin close and gave him a long, deep kiss, purposely being as exaggerated as possible.

She smirked a little and ran her fingers through Gavin's hair, looking up at him.

The woman's eyes widened, and she stopped taking pictures. "My son's not going to like these pictures," she complained. "The guy's in them."

"This guy happens to be my fiance, honey," Delilah called out, "and I can kiss him all I want!"

She kissed Gavin again, and the woman walked away, frustrated.

Gavin laughed and kissed Delilah back as passionately as he could, pulling away and grinned over at the woman

He chuckled and pulled her closer to him again, deliberatley putting his hands on her butt and kissed her neck again

"Tell your son to get a new fantasy girl because this one's taken!" she shouted after the woman

Delilah sighed. "Cecilia's off now. Shall we go back to the office and call the police?" she suggested.

She squeezed Gavin's hand and tugged him back to the building.

They walked into the building and got into the elevator. Just then, Delilah's cell phone rang. She answered it.

"Hello? Hi, Mom. You and Dad got my e-mail? Oh? Oh, good! Yes, next week. Yes. You want what? No, that's not necessary, I'm sure Gavin already knows how to get me pregnant. Uh huh. No. Fine. Okay, bye."

She hung up. "That was Mom. She said that she and Dad would love to come to the wedding and... she wanted to give you tips on how to knock me up. She really freaks me out."

Delilah laughed.

Amber left her office, figuring that she should at least attempt to find out where her wayward boss had gone. "I just took this job to help pay for school" she thought, walking down the halls "I had no idea it was going to turn out like this. I'm definitely finding something better next year".

She was about to get into the elevator when it opened in front of her with Delilah and Gavin in it. "Delilah, Gavin" she said, a huge grin on her face "Congratulations! I just got your e-mail."

Delilah hugged Amber tightly. "Thanks! We want you and Alexander to be our witnesses when we sign the license. And I want you to help me find something to wear."

She squeezed Gavin's hand tightly. Then, she became more somber. "We need to call the police ASAP. We don't know where Cecilia is or what she'll do, but..."

Delilah realized that Amber didn't know what happened. "Gav, you tell her everything that happened. I'll call the police."

She dialed a number on her cell phone and said, "Hello, this is one of the secretaries at Queen's Clothes. Yeah, there. Well, Cecilia Queen has kind of gone missing... sort of... somewhat. Point is, we don't know where she is, and she might try to do something to harm herself. Can you please try to locate her? Yes. Thank you."

She hung up. "It's all taken care of," she said.

"Of course I'll help with shopping, and be right there when you guys get hitched" she said, grinning back at her friends "As if Xander and I could say no to that! I'm so happy for you guys".

Then Amber frowned as she listened to Delilah make her phone call. "Dear lord, what has she done now" she asked "Can she not just get it through her head that he's is engaged to you and isn't interested in her in that way? It's really kind of pathetic if you ask me".

"She turned the company over to Gavin and then took off," Delilah explained. "Earlier, she tried to do a nude photoshoot with Gav. Can you believe it?"

She scoffed. "Some people, eh? But that's Cecilia for you. Oh, and she tried to fire me for stopping the photoshoot!"

She sighed and led Amber to her office. "So, now, there's the wedding plans, on top of everything else. I need to pick out something to wear. I've already decided not to wear white because I'll spill stuff on it. So, I'm thinking maybe blue or red."

She shrugged. "I know nothing about weddings. I've never gotten married before," she said, giggling.

"Oh, and some woman wanted me to pose nude with her son earlier. Just thought you'd get a kick out of that," Delilah added.

"Wow you have got to be joking Delilah" said Amber, her eyes widening "This is sad. How many times does he have to tell her he's head over heels for you before she'll get it through her head? Does she think if she throws herself at him enough times he'll leave you or something".

Amber rolled her eyes at her own comment and said "Not bloody likely. But enough about our lunatic drama queen boss, let's talk about this wedding. I think blue would be gorgeous on you, it would match your eyes".

Delilah grinned. "Blue it is, then. It's just a matter of finding the right dress. Nothing too formal or too casual. I hate dressing up, but I have to look decent."

She flipped through a magazine, trying to get ideas. "Junk, junk, junk, trashy, slutty, junk, no f*cking way..."

She shut the magazine and tossed it into the trash can. "Nothing's working. What do you say we go dress shopping? There's a bunch of stores down the street with reasonable prices."

She grinned widely. "We'll play hooky from work."

Good... get my mind off the problems here, she thought.

"It's not like my boss will notice me missing" said Amber, winking at Delilah "I say we just go for it. And there's no way your boss will care. We just have to make sure he doesn't decide to come too. We don't want him seeing the dress before the wedding and giving you guys any bad luck".

"So we're not looking for anything barbie princessish naturally, but we don't want to be too casual. Hmmmm" she said, trying to think "Well, what about deciding on a length, are you thinking of getting a longer dress or a short one?"

Delilah shrugged. "I'm not sure about length. I'm thinking we hit some of the shops and I can try on some dresses, just to get a feel for what looks good."

She collected her purse and made sure she had some money in it. "Let's go," she said to Amber. She kissed Gavin on the cheek. "We're going wedding dress shopping. You don't get to come along because... well, it's bad luck for you to see me in the dress before the wedding. Ha ha."

She and Amber headed out of the office and to the elevator. They got in and rode it down to the first floor. They headed out of the building, and Delilah looked around.

"How about the shop over there?" she suggested, pointing. "That one might have nice clothes in it!"

"It looks good to me" she said, nodding her head "Let's go in".

The two women walked into the store and started browsing through the dresses. "Ugh, definitely not" said Amber, wrinkling her nose and holding out a dress. It was an electric blue colour, with a long slit up the side and covered in sequins.

"Last time I looked you weren't a Vegas showgirl or a cheesy magician's assistant" she said, shoving it back onto the rack "Anything good over there Delilah"?

Delilah rummaged through another rack. "Unless I'm supposed to look like a stripper or hooker, no."

She held up a skimpy pale blue dress. "I wouldn't even be able to bend over in this. Did we go into an 'adult' store by mistake?" she asked, wrinkling her nose.

She rummaged through the clothes on another rack. "These are just as bad," she announced to Amber. "Trashy and tacky. Perfect for those shotgun weddings," she added.

She snickered. "Well, at least it was good for a laugh. There's lots of other stores down this street," she said, shrugging.

She headed out of the store and walked to the next one.

"Maybe we did wander into one of those stores" she said as they walked down the street to the next store "Those were all pretty hideous. You'd figure a pair of girls working in fashion design would know better, even if we are just secretaries".

Then she turned to Delilah "So who else is coming to the wedding? And have you made sure the reception place has strong tables in case anyone has the urge to dance on them" she said, laughing.

Delilah walked into a more reputable-looking building. "Not many people. Gavin's parents, mine, you, Alexander, and maybe Hannah. We don't want a ton of drama."

A sales lady walked up to Delilah and Amber. "Hello," Delilah said. "We'd like to see the dresses, please."

The saleswoman eyed them. "Have you made an appointment?" she asked.

"Appointment?" Delilah asked.

"To see the dresses," the saleswoman said.

"Why?" Delilah asked. "Do the dresses have something to do besides hang on racks all day?"

The saleswoman frowned and looked Delilah over, from head to toe. "I don't like your atttitude, missy. Besides, I don't think you could afford the clothes in here."

Delilah replied, "Well, I don't like yours either, so I guess we're even." She turned to Amber. "Come on, Amber. I guess we can go wedding dress shopping elsewhere. Considering the fact that the sky's the limit, as far as what I'm willing to pay, you'd think people'd be a little kinder, but..." She shrugged. "Oh well."

She turned and walked out. The saleslady hurried after them, calling, "Come back! We've got lots of great stuff!"

Delilah ignored the woman and walked off.

Delilah and Amber went into a nice little shop. The saleslady greeted them and asked if she could be of service.

"Yes, I'm looking for something to wear to my wedding. I don't want to go the white dress route, and I'm looking for something semi-formal. Also, I'd like to pick something up for my friend here," Delilah said, indicating Amber. "She's going to be one of the witnesses for the wedding."

The saleswoman nodded and said, "Wait right here. I know exactly what you need."

She hurried away and came back a few minutes later with two dresses, one blue, and one in a pretty shade of green. Delilah and Amber went into the dressing rooms and tried the dresses on. Perfect fits. After conferring for a few minutes, they decided to purchase the dresses, which, as it turned out, were on sale.

After purchasing the dresses, Delilah and Amber walked back to the snooty store. Delilah peeked her head in.

"Hey?" she said. "You folks work on commission, right?" She held out the dresses that she'd purchased for herself and Amber. "You made a big mistake underestimating us. Big mistake."

She put the dresses back in the bag, and she and Amber walked back to Queen's Clothes.

((Basically, after some major drama at the photoshoot, there was an argument. Cecilia turned over ownership of QC to Gavin and then took off. Delilah called the cops to go look for Cecilia. Delilah and Gavin make plans to get married soon, and Delilah and Amber went shopping for clothes to wear to the wedding.))

ooc: woah.. thats a lot of drama! so Cecilia just grabbed a few clothes and drove off some highway? has the day changed yet? because as i can remember the last thing Aaron did was fall as sleep due to an over use of drugs. Aaron let out a soft groan, and udjusted his position on the chair. His hair felt damp, and he'd been sweating all over. Hours had past since he had blacked out, and he had no knowledge of the drama that had been going on. His head throbbing with pain, as he shifted in the chair again, trying to find a comfortable position. After several attemps, he finally opened his eyes as much as he could and stumbled to his feet. The only sound he could hear was the sound of his head beating, and thrashing inside.

Tripping over his feet, he made his way out of the office he'd been sleeping in. He found the water pump, although it proved to be a challenge as his vision was blurry. Aaron poured the cup down slowly, letting the cool liquid slide down his throat. With the remaining water, he splashed over his head. His breathing was quite uneven, the air appearing to be thick and steamy.

He staggered to the lift, made his way to reception and left the building. On the streets, alone and vulnerable. He crossed the street, and heard the horns of the cars beep at him for his reckless decision. His head heating up and burning inside, he rubbed his eyes only to make his sight worse.

Cecilia entered her penthouse. She dropped her coat on the couch and started packing.

"Clothing... money... keys... seems Like i've got everything..." she sighed, "Except pride, glory and love."

She took her bags, looked back once more and then left the home. She got in her car and drove to the airport.

When she reached the airport, she took her cell phone and created a new message,
Goodbye... In a few hours I'll be on the plane. Don't ever forget me, have a nice life.

Gavin smiled and watched the back of Delilah's head from his window as she and Amber walked off down the street for some dress shopping. He yawned sleepily, thinking it had been a very long day, and he still felt a niggling worry about Cecilia --what if she police couldn't locate her?? As though he'd imagined it, his cell phone beeped with a message

Goodbye... In a few hours I'll be on the plane. Don't ever forget me, have a nice life.

Gavin rolled his eyes and quickly flipped open his contact list, searching for her number before hitting 'call'

"Cecilia?" he asked as she answered, "where are you going? And why? The police are out looking for you!"

Her cell phone beeped and she answered, it was Gavin.
"New York" she answered softly.

"Why is the police looking for me? I'm not missing or anything, I told you I was leaving and you call the police? I'm sorry but you can just ask if I want to stay instead of just calling the police. Now they will come for me, ask me weird questions which are easy to answer since there's nothing wrong with me. Why don't you trust me?" she sighed. This was going to be so complicated.

"You think i'm going to hurt myself again, don't you? Well, no. I wont."

Gavin sighed and sat down on the ground in the hallway, resting his head against the wall

"Yes, of course I think you're going to hurt yourself. We're both very worried about you and don't want you to do anything stupid!" he replied to Cecilia

He smacked his head against the wall a couple of times, hoping no one saw him

"We called the police cause we're worried about you. And why the h*ll are you leaving?" he asked, keeping his tone soft

"I'm ruining the company, Gavin." she sighed. "And that's not the only thing." she took a deep breath.
"I'm ruining your life, your relationship." she explained. "I wish things were different. But they aren't and they'll never be. So, i'm leaving, if I leave I can start a new life and maybe... one day, try to love someone who accepts my love, if it's really love."

Love is now... lust is later.

"I'm so sorry. And on the other side, i'm not. Because now you can do whatever you want, and be free to love her."

Gavin sighed again, holding his cell phone gingerly to his ear. He couldn't crush the undeniable feeling of guilt that was rising inside of him: by refusing her love he'd more or less ruined her life. He groaned inside of his head

"All's fair in true love and war," he replied softly after a moment

He slid further down the wall and slouched his bum forwards so his back was arched, unsure what to say

"I'm sorry I said no to you: I bet I'm the first guy that's ever done that. I just want you to be happy now. Please, for me, be happy."

"I'll try to be happy. Or pretend to be, I'll never really be happy." she sighed. "My heart will always keep beating for you, no matter what. I've got the right to tell you don't I?" she then took a deep breath.
"You're the first who says no, but that doesn't mean I didn't expect it. You're actually the first honest man. You rejected me, instead of making out with someone else. You didn't break up. You just said no. And that's something I respect, no matter how much it hurts me." Or you.

"I wish I could have said goodbye properly. But that didn't happen. So goodbye, my plane will be leaving in a couple of minutes. Good luck. I will remember you..." she sighed. "Bye..." she said softly as hung up, a tear ran down her cheek as she boarded the plane.

When Hannah returned to QC after the photoshoot she went straight to her office and dialled Chris's number. Chris didn't pick up so she left him a message

"Chris, it's Hannah, a bit of a change of plans. Gavin and Cecilia aren't doing the photoshoot anymore. I need you to get two models down to 'Fashion TV', ASAP to finish the shoot. After I want you to get me a taxi to the hospital and I want to know which ward Nicolao is on. I need to pay him a visit. Bye

Hannah went back to her laptop and continued work on her 'Big Idea' unaware thet the ownership had just changed hands in the park across the street

((Recap: Cecilia and Gavin were supposed to do a photoshoot, and Delilah, Gavin, and Cecilia had to do an interview. After the interview, Delilah was approached by a representative for Elemental Fashions, Queen's Clothes's biggest rival. She declined. The photoshoot turned out to be a nude one, and when Hannah found out from Delilah, she had Delilah stop it until she could get there. Cecilia became angry that the photoshoot was stopped. She tried to fire Delilah, but Gavin refused to let her get fired. Cecilia slapped Gavin. Hannah came by and set things right. Cecilia passed along ownership of the company to Gavin. Delilah and Gavin decided to get married in two weeks and to have a small ceremony. Cecilia took off. Delilah and Amber went dress shopping, and Gavin got in touch with Cecilia.))

Gavin threw his cell phone hard against the wall and it fell to the ground, luckily unharmed. He stood up slowly and collected his cell, pocketing it before returning to his office with a sigh. Everything was so messed up at the moment: why couldn't he just marry Delilah and everything be simple? No! It never was. As he grabbed his jacket and bolted down the stairs to the street, he quickly texted Delilah

He hailed a taxi and leapt it, rushing to the airport in hope that Cecilia's plane hadn't left yet: he couldn't handle this. As he darted threw security and into the gate she was supposed to be at, he stopped and glanced around. The room was deserted

Cecilia sighed and turned around.
"Gavin?" her eyes widened. "Gavin!" she ran to him and hugged him.

"I just couldn't leave, I couldn't." she whispered. "I'm so sorry." she buried her head on his shoulder and a tear fell down her cheek. "I shouldn't have done this, what was I thinking." she talked and talked about how much she was sorry and that she shouldn't have done it. She just couldn't stop apoligizing. She then stopped, waiting for him to say something. He was probably going to be angry, again. Something she wished he wouldn't be.

Gavin slowly pushed Cecilia away and looked at the floor

"I'm glad you didn't leave," he said softly, "I wouldn't have been able to handle the company on my own."

He picked up the suitcase at her feet and slowly walked away, turning to make sure she was following him

"Don't apologize," he said, staring straight ahead of him, "just don't"

She was quiet. "You only wanted me back because you didn't want to run the company didn't you? I don't know if I want to go back." she said softly. She swallowed and took a deep breath.

"The company isn't something that makes me happier. It only makes me worse. How can I be in a place where I have to look at something I never wished to see. It's like being in a nightmare you can't stop." she walked a little faster so now she was walking next to him.

"I need to stop at my home to place everything there." she said.

Gavin nodded and walked outside with Cecilia, giving her a brief hug when they got outside and he hailed a taxi

"I'm sorry C, but you have to run the company. You're the best woman for the job" he said

He climbed into the taxi beside Cecilia and gave him directions to the office, before sitting back to close his eyes. He didn't know why he needed Cecilia back: perhaps he felt he couldn't cope with running the company, perhaps he needed someone to be his boss.

"Go home, rest and then come back when you want to," Gavin said as he climbed out of the taxi as it stopped in front of Queens Clothes

He gave the taxi driver directions to her home and handed him a couple of bills, before turning and walking back to the office to wait for the return of Amber and Delilah

Delilah walked into Queen's Clothes. She handed Amber the bag with the green dress in it, and she took the bag with the blue dress up to her office. She peeked into the bag several times, smiling delightedly at her lovely dress and imagining how nice she'd look in it.

Gavin's going to love how I look in this... and it was such a steal! We paid $125 for two dresses-- you can't beat that! she thought happily.

She made her way to her office and sat down. She pulled out her cell phone and noticed that she had a text message from Gavin. She pressed in a response:

Already back. We paid cash-- $125 for two dresses, one for me, one for Amber, and they look great. Love you!

She sent the message, and then sat back and sighed happily. Life is good, she thought.

Gavin looked down at his vibrating cell and smiled, reading the message from Delilah and then hurried the few feet to her office from the elevator. He poked his head round the door and watched her in her chair, her eyes closed and a happy smiled on her face, and it made him grin himself. He quickly typed a reply message

Gavin hit send and then leant against the doorway to her office, waiting for Delilah to recieve the message and realise he was there. For the time being, however, he was more than happy just to stand and watch his beautiful fiance: he could stay there happily for the rest of his life, just smiling at her

Delilah, not opening her eyes, reached down and opened up her cell phone. She opened her eyes a little and read the message. She smiled to herself and looked up at Gavin.

"Hey, stranger. You come here often?" she said teasingly.

She grinned. "The good news is, the dress didn't break the bank. It was rather inexpensive and looks great. The bad news is that I'll probably look like a total idiot wearing the dress."

She laughed and rose. She passed Gavin the bag. "Go ahead and check it out," she said. "It took a few tries to even find a place with decent stuff and nice people working there."

She leaned against Gavin, waiting for his reaction. She giggled a little in anticipation.

Gavin smiled and put an arm around Delilah, taking hold of the bag she'd passed him

"Am I going to like it?" he asked, peeking slightly into the bag

He laughed and gave Delilah a brief kiss on the neck, before taking the dress out and he shook it free, letting out a low whistle

"I'm sure the groom isn't supposed to see the dress before the wedding!" Gavin teased, examining the dress with a smile, "but never mind. I guess we're not doing anything traditionally" he teased

He gave Delilah a squeeze and then smiled

"I love it" he replied grinning, "and I'm sure I'll love you in it...and out of it!"

Delilah giggled. "I knew you would say that," she said, grinning broadly. "The snooty place that thought we were too poor to shop there got a nice surprise, let me tell you. I went back, with the purchases I made at the nicer place and shows off the dresses. They were ticked. But that's why you don't mess with me. I bet they'll never underestimate someone's wealth again."

She rested her head on Gavin's shoulder. "I wanted to get something nice, but not ridiculous. I want to look good and impress your parents. I mean, they are going to be my in-laws, and I want to show that I'm good enough for you. I bet they're steamed-- their son is going to marry a mere secretary... and willingly! Oh, the shame!" she said, teasing a little.

"Seriously, though," she continued, "I'm sure they'll love me. But I don't want to look like some backwoods piece of trash. I'm not, but you know... I want to actually look decent."

Gavin gave a false smile and coughed a couple of time, unnerved by how close Delilah had come to the truth about his parents. They certainly weren't going to be delilghted that he was marrying 'below' him, but that didn't matter: not really. As long as they loved each other, that was all that mattered

"I'm sure you'll look more than decent!" he replied, kissing Delilah's forehead gently, "you'll look gorgeous. You always look beautiful to me!"

Gavin smiled and brushed his hair from his eyes, aware that he was starting to sweat. Why was he so worried at what his parents would say? Perhaps that's why he hadn't told them yet

"My parents will love you!" he breathed, nuzzling against Delilah's hair, "just like I do."

He paused and grinned

"I do...I do! Sounds amazing!"

Delilah looked up at Gavin. "Hey, what did your folks say when you told them the good news?" she asked. "You never mentioned anything about that. I mean, you did tell them, right?"

She paused a moment. "Sweetie, you're starting to get sweaty. Want me to turn on a fan in here or something? Are you coming down with something?" she asked, concerned. "It would suck if you came down with the flu or a cold right before the wedding."

Or maybe he didn't tell them, she thought. Maybe he thinks they're not going to like me, so he's trying to avoid telling them as long as possible. Ack, maybe he's ashamed of me!

Gavin smiled and gulped a little: why did Delilah have to ask that damn question. He was about to answer when she touched his forehead concerned

"Sweetie, you're starting to get sweaty. Want me to turn on a fan in here or something? Are you coming down with something?" she asked, concerned. "It would suck if you came down with the flu or a cold right before the wedding."

He shook his head and smiled at Delilah

"Naw, I'm fine. Probably just a little sweaty after running after Cecilia all day!" he replied, opening the window of her office

He turned back and inhaled deeply

"Hunni" Gavin started, taking hold of Delilah by the hands and looked deep into her eyes, his heart fluttering, "I...erm...haven't told my parents yet. Don't freak out though. I'm just a bit nervous about what they'll say."

Delilah bit her lip. Gavin didn't tell them? But the wedding is in two weeks! What's he going to do, wait until the day before and then call them up and say, 'Mom, Dad, I'm getting hitched' or something?

"Why didn't you tell them yet?" she asked. "I mean, I had no problems telling my mom, even though I knew her response would be totally humiliating and ridiculous. So, what's so hard about telling your parents? Are they really snooty and don't believe in marrying below your station or something?"

She scoffed. "I hate people like that. It's such a stupid, old-fashioned way of thinking. If I actually followed that line of thought, then I'd be married to some teacher or lawyer and all that other good junk."

She rolled her eyes.

Gavin sighed and pulled Delilah towards him, resting his head on hers

"I have no idea why I haven't told them," he admitted, chewing on his lip, "they're just very proper and very...opinionated people who like everything to be done a certain way. It's a bit rich considering they got married at 19!"

He paused and rubbed noses with Delilah,

"I hate people like that too," Gavin continued, "that's why I haven't spoken to my parents in...three years. I upped and moved to the city, leaving them in their private country estate."

He paced her office worriedly, before pulling out his cell phone

"But what the hell! I don't give a sh*t what they say. As long as I love you, they'll grow to love you. I'm not ashamed of you."

He hit call and held his cell phone to his ear, reaching out to Delilah for support

Delilah wrapped her arms tightly around Gavin, watching him closely. He needs my emotional support more than ever, she realized. This isn't easy for him to do. Hell, he might get disowned by his parents. Disowned! And it would be all my fault! Oh man, that would really be bad.

She squeezed tighter, biting at her lip. Come on. Don't get ticked at Gavin. Be happy. He's become very successful, and he's about to marry a woman who he loves very much. Isn't that what most parents would want for their son? They should be thrilled for him! she thought.

She tried to lean in closer, eager to hear what his parents would say, so that she would know how to react, whether to comfort Gavin or celebrate.

Come on, you old bats, she thought. I dare you to be angry. Double dare you.

Gavin squeezed Delilah tightly, holding onto her for dear life. The dialer rung for a few minutes and he presumed they weren't going to pick up, when a muffled voice came to the line

"Mum? What's wrong? Have you just woken up? But its...oh no, the time difference!"

He pulled a face and looked down at Deililah. Great start Gav! Get the cranky night owl out of bed at 5am to tell her the good news!

"Er mum, no no there's nothing wrong. Yes I'm fine. No I'm not dating Mandy anymore...mum that was the one date! Yes...yes...look I need to tell you something," he paused and took in a deep breath, smiling at Delilah, "I'm engaged. I'm marrying my secretary Delilah in two weeks time."

Gavin pressed his cell phone hard against his ear so she couldn't hear the ranting and insults his mother was throwing at her, and then interrupted

"Mum yes she's a secretary. A very gorgeous one: you're going to have gorgeous gran-kids! I love her more than anything...yes. We've been together for two months nearly. No it's serious this time mum!"

He paused and wrinkled his nose, handing out the phone

"She wants to talk to you."

Delilah looked fearfully up at Gavin. "Okay," she said hesitantly, taking the phone. She took a few breaths to calm herself, and then said into the phone, trying to sound as confident as possible, "Hello? Yes, ma'am, I'm Delilah. Yes, I work as a secretary at Queen's Clothes, and I'm also a part-time college student, majoring in art. I'd like to eventually become an interior decorator. Yes, ma'am. My parents? Dad is a lawyer, and Mom is a teacher. No, they're still together. Twenty-seven years, actually. My age? I'm twenty-four, ma'am. No, ma'am, I've never had any children before. No, I've never been married before either."

She made a face at Gavin and mouthed, "So many personal questions!" She squeezed Gavin's hand and continued talking.

"No, ma'am, actually, I'm in very good health. Reddish-brown hair, blue eyes, and light skin. Short, actually, reaches to about the top of my collar. No, I only like men, ma'am. No, I don't smoke, and I gave up drinking. Yes, ma'am. Yes, I'll let you talk to Gavin immediately."

She held the phone back out to Gavin. "She wants to talk to you again."

Gavin's lower lip quivered as Delilah spoke to his mum, biting on a hangnail nervously. His mother wasn't the kind of person to beat about the bush: if she wanted to know your dress size and shoe size, she'd ask and expect the answers immediately. He listened carefully to the conversation his fiance was having with her future mother-in-law and couldn't help but giggle at her calling her 'ma'am'

"Mum?" he said, taking back the cell phone, "mum leave her alone okay. She's not a crazy woman that's just walked out of an asylum! No mum she's not clincally insane! Yes of course!! Mum stop asking such personal questions...well frankly that's none of your business!"

He listened to his mother ranting again and squeezed Delilah's hand, giving her a small thumbs up

"Yes you can meet her soon, and yes I think you'll love her as much as I do: if that were possible! No I won't stop being soppy!" Gavin giggled, relaxing as his mum became more casual, "I was actually ringing to invite you to the wedding. Two weeks yesterday...but it won't be a very traditional wedding. Mum shut up, she's not some weirdo! That's just the way she, I mean we want to do things. Anyway please come...and bring Dad along too if you can. Yes...yes...love you too mum."

Gavin fell into Delilah's arms as he hung up the phone, sighing heavily

"I think you passed the test!" he said with a smile, "and pleased to meet you...ma'am!"

Delilah laughed and hugged Gavin tightly. "Shut up," she said, playfully slapping his arm. "Just a natural reflex-- my parents always taught me to be polite when talking to strangers and superiors. Plus, one of my dad's best friends was in the Marines for about twenty years."

She giggled a little. "Your mom really freaked me out. She and my mom are going to try and out-nosy each other. I can see it now. There's going to be more than enough drama with our parents. We won't need to invite many other people."

She snorted. "Oh my God, she actually asked me if I've ever been pregnant before. Did she ask you that kind of stuff when you were younger? Oh my God, my mom wasn't that bad."

It felt good to laugh, after all that tension and stress.

Well, she was kind of scary, but at least it seems I've passed the test, she thought, reassured.

Gavin laughed and poked Delilah back playfully

"My mum has never been one to beat about the bush, and if she wants to find out something about you, she'll find it! It's funny actually as, once you get to know her she'll seriously loosen up and you two will...go shopping together or something!"

He smiled and kissed her gently on the lips, stroking her hair

"So what's the final guest list? My parents (god help us), your parents, Amber, Xander, Hannah and...Jeisa and...Cilla? That could work?"

Delilah nodded. "Yeah, I think that'll work," she agreed. "People who won't cause too much drama... and our parents." She laughed a little. "I can just see it-- ultra-conservative parents meet ultra-laidback parents. Fur will fly!"

Things aren't going to be perfect, she thought, but that's because life isn't perfect. But does it matter? Gavin and I are going to get married and spend our lives together. THAT is what matters. THAT is what we are celebrating. That, and the important people in our lives getting to witness it.

She snickered a little. I can just see it, she thought. After Gavin and I are married, I bet our parents are going to take turns calling us, asking when we're going to give them grandkids. Hm, what would they look like? Cute, blue eyes, blonde or brownish hair... and they'd probably get into all kinds of trouble, considering who their parents are!

Cecilia walked into her empty appartment. She placed some of her stuff down and then started thinking.
Gavin... Why... I shouldn't be here. I should be in New York now. And begin a new life. But you kept me from going. And I just wish things were different. she thought.

She then softly started singing, which turned into yells and cries.

She finally stopped crying and cleaned her face, she took her phone and called Gavin.
"Hey..." she said when he answered. "Can you come and help me unpack?"

Gavin smiled at Delilah and kissed her nose playfully, dreaming of the life they were about to embark on: together. My parents are going to be crazy about the lack of traditional-ness in our wedding. Delilah in a blue dress, me not in a tux, no fancy flowers or fancy reception. They would certainly complain about the wedding atire, saying it looked like the two were marrying illegally...or she'd been married before or something

"What about the vows? Wanna write out own? That would be so romantic!" Gavin mused, rubbing his nose against Delilah's forehead

His cell phone rang again and he picked it up, answering instantly as he assumed it was his mother again

"No mum Delilah is not an escaped convict, just leave us alone!" he said exaspperated down the phone before anyone could speak

He turned red as he realised it was, in fact, Cecilia

"Can you come and help me unpack?" she asked, sounding frail

Gavin sighed and nodded, "okay, be there in a few minutes!"

He turned back to Delilah and gave her a long kiss

"Hun, I'm gunna go help C. Be back in half an hour. Love you to bits!"

He walked slowly down the stairs and got into his car, driving to Cecilia's appartment where he knocked on the door

She slowly opened the door.
"Hey" she said, softly smiling. "Thanks for coming." she waited for him to walk in and then closed the door.

"Pretty neat isn't it?" she asked, mentioning the appartment.
"It cost me alot too, and so, it's big and it takes lots of time to put everything in it."

She pointed at some bags. "Well... you can grab those, if you want to. Then I'll do this over here." she smiled politely at him and gave him a small hug. She started placing things against walls, on tables and in closets.

Gavin walked into her appartment, checking his cell phone in case Delilah wanted to get in touch with him. He gave Cecilia a small smile, before grabbing up the bag and doing what he'd come here for, unpacking her stuff onto the coffee table in the lounge

"Where do you want this stuff?" he asked, holding up another bag

"Umm" she started walking over to him but tripped over a bag and fell on him.

They landed on the floor. Her eyes widened when it happened and she managed to not fully land on him.

She looked into his eyes, her eyes were sparkling and her mouth was trembling. She slowly touched his cheek. A single hairstrand was left in her face. Gavin... she thought as she closed her eyes. She then opened them again.

Love... lust...

Gavin fell to the floor as Cecilia landed on top of him, her hand attempting to grasp his. She widened her eyes and looked at him, like she was trying to put him under a magic spell, and her hair fell towards her face, masking her. He pushed the strand behind her ear and slowly moved away from her, rubbing his own behind

"I think I broke my butt!" he laughed, getting to his feet.

He held out his hand to pull Cecilia up, glancing nervously at his watch

She took his hand and stood up, moving herself in his embrace. She looked at him for two seconds and then moved closer. She brushed her lips on his.
"Don't you feel it?" she asked as she kissed his upper lip.

"The urge, to do what you want?" she brushed her cheek against his.
"You do. Don't you?" she first kissed the corner of his lips and then kissed him fully on the mouth. She held him loosely. Don't reject. Just don't.

Gavin closed his eyes as Cecilia kissed him, his arms hanging losely by his side. He pulled away from her embrace but was immediately pulled back towards her, eyes squinting. Delilah popped into his head as Cecilia pressed her lips against him and his brow furrowed. He'd swore he'd love no other girl but her, swore he'd kiss no other girl but her: and now he was pressed against another woman. His eyes snapped open and he pushed Cecilia from him

"What..." he stammered

He turned away and snatched up his coat, walking from her appartment

"I'm engaged C! So don't talk to me about urges and feelings! Stop doing this," he shouted at her, "I went after you cause you're my friend, not so that I can cheat on my fiance with you. Maybe I should be the one to leave! Me and Delilah, maybe we won't come back from our f*king honeymoon!"

Gavin stormed out of the appartment and slammed the door behind him

She watched him leave. "Nevermind then" she called after him, throwing some stuff in the closet.

I'm sorry for liking you, loving you. Go and have your wedding and a perfect life. And also make the company perfect. I now know that you don't understand, and I really can't stay. My heart beats for you. And maybe I think it should stop beating. But that won't solve anything, so I'm going to New York again. I will see on FashionTV how QC will grow and I will think of you. Maybe not even in a good way. Bye, have fun with your perfect life and never think of me again. Or... don't remember me at all. That will be best wont it? I mean, a terribly in love girl wouldn't fit in a perfect life. Bye Gavin.
She messaged to him. She pressed send and started packing again. When she had packed everything she left to the aiport.

On the aiport, she stepped on the first plane to New York.

Delilah sighed. She checked her e-mail.

"Junk, junk, big junk..." she muttered, deleting each e-mail. "What's this?" she asked, reading the contents of an e-mail from her mother, which said:

I thought you'd get a kick out of this, Dee. This is a fortune-telling site that guarantees to be 100% accurate, and it was. It was right on target about stuff no one knew but me.

Delilah shrugged and clicked the link. "Good waste of time, at least," she murmured. The link led to a page of questions, mostly about birthdate, time of birth, and so forth, but also many questions about lifestyle and personality. It took her about thirty minutes to answer all of the questions. When she finally finished them up, she clicked the "Finished" button.

Her computer whirred softly for a few seconds, and the website revealed its response:

Delilah looked up. "Freaky," she muttered. She sent a copy of the fortune to Gavin's e-mail.

Gavin pulled up in the parking lot behind Queens Clothes and sat for a minute, running his hands through his hair. Finally he made his way up to his office and sat down at his computer, noticing he had an email from Delilah, reading it hungrily. Once he'd reached the end he raised his eyebrows in amazement and clicked on the website himself

"This should be interesting" he muttered to himself as he began to answer the questions

After twenty minutes he clicked 'finished' and waited for his fortune

You were born into a lavish lifestyle to seemingly strict parents who love you very much, but were never truely happy. Delilah read Gavin's e-mail. She smiled a little, giggling as she read his fortune. When she read where he'd been, she frowned. She thought for a moment, and then began typing:

Doesn't Cecilia ever give it a rest? You know, you could sue her for sexual harassment. She should not be behaving that way towards you. You shouldn't be sorry for anything. I love you too, sweetheart. DSR.

She sent the message and then giggled to herself, wondering how he'd react to the "R" she'd added at the end.

I wish Cecilia would leave Gav alone. Find someone else. Anyone else. Some man, some woman... hell, some inanimate object. Just leave my fiance alone! she thought, rather angrily.

Gavin must have dozed off in his chair, as the next thing he knew was the ping of his computer telling him that 'he had mail.' He smiled to himself at the childish voice that came out of his speakers, alerting him an email had arrived and he opened it, raising his eyebrows as he came to the end.

Delilah Stanton-Ruppetts! He loved the sound of his surname entwined with her name, it was like this was really finally happening. Gavin smiled and quickly typed a reply, wondering why he was emailing his fiance who was in the next room: mearly feet away

DSR!! You keeping your name then, or just taking mine? It's up to you :) forget about Cecilia, she's probably fled the country by now, but she's never going to get anything from me. Love you lots too

He hit send and then sat back in his chair, closing his eyes again

Delilah looked up from the grocery list she was making, hearing the ping from her computer. She read the e-mail from Gavin, smiling.

She thought over the last name conundrum for a while. Do I want to take his last name or keep mine? After a few minutes, she nodded. Hyphenated. That's more or less the middle ground there. That way, I can keep my last name and still take his.

She typed up a brief response to Gavin:

I think I'm going to go with a hyphenated form, as a sort of middle ground. I'll be over there in a few seconds. DSR.

She sent the e-mail and then hurried over to his office, trying not to giggle. She stood in the doorway, watching him read the e-mail.

I can't believe it, she thought, for what seemed like the millionth time. I can't believe that he and I are going to be married soon!
