Gavin opened his eyes again as, the now annoying voice in his speaker, announced he had mail. Sleepily he opened it and smiled

I think I'm going to go with a hyphenated form, as a sort of middle ground. I'll be over there in a few seconds. DSR.

He tutted playfully,

"No kisses!" he mumbled to himself, brushing his hair gently with his hands

He started to type out a reply when he heard a soft giggle at the doorway and he looked up, a warm smile flooding his face when he saw Delilah

"Come over here for some Gavin-loving," he said with a smile, closing down the email he had just started typing, "I have a bone to pick with you - how come I no longer get kisses at the end of my emails and texts?"

Gavin chuckled and watched Delilah's face, meeting her gaze with adoration. He'd do anything for this girl: jump to the moon and back if he could

Delilah grinned evilly. "Because I prefer to give them in person," she replied, walking over and embracing Gavin tightly. She gave him a long kiss. "Better?" she asked.

She stroked his hair. "Sorry you had to deal with that insanity," she said softly. "You poor baby. But the good thing is, in a few weeks, we'll be married. Nothing Cecilia can do will stop us, no matter how hard she tries. I think it's because she resents me. But, eh, what can I do, right?"

She curled up on Gavin's lap, making herself comfortable. "Mom sent me that link, by the way. Pretty spot-on, eh?"

Almost... too accurate, she thought.

Gavin smiled as Delilah kissed him, and he wrapped his arms around her waist as she made herself comfortable on his lap

"Much better!" he said with a grin

"Sorry you had to deal with that insanity," she said softly. "You poor baby. But the good thing is, in a few weeks, we'll be married. Nothing Cecilia can do will stop us, no matter how hard she tries. I think it's because she resents me. But, eh, what can I do, right?"

Gavin sighed and nodded, resting his head on top of Delilah's, letting a warm smile come across his face

"Cecilia's not going to come between us, I won't let her." he replied, keeping his tone soft although he could have shouted it: that was how he felt, "I want to marry you and love you forever!"

He grinned and held Delilah tightly, promising himself he was never going to let her go

"Mom sent me that link, by the way. Pretty spot-on, eh?"

Gavin laughed, "yea...it kinda scared me a little!" he said, pretending to tremble, "it's like someone's watching us."

At that the couple both turned around and glanced uncomfortabley around the room; once their gazes met they both started laughing

"Okay, maybe not right now!" Gavin said between laughs

He stroked her hair and gave her a long kiss, feeling the sparks fly right down to the bottom of his feet

"You getting cold feet yet?" he asked Delilah, biting his lip, "I hope you don't stand me up!" he teased.

Delilah smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, Gavin, I want to get married to you. Besides, it's usually the grooms who get cold feet and run away." She eyed him and said teasingly, "You're planning to run away right before the wedding and marry Cecilia instead, aren't you?"

She giggled and poked at Gavin. "I'm teasing. I know you wouldn't do that."

She laughed and said, "If someone's watching us, I hope they're entertained."

She waved at the ceiling and said, "Hi, to all you people out there where ever. I hope the Delilah and Gavin Comedy Hour is entertaining."

She snickered and messed up Gavin's hair. "I am such a nut," she giggled.

Gavin's mouth dropped open playfully and he clasped his hand to his forehead

"You caught me!" he teased, "darn now that means I have to marry you, doesn't it!"

He smiled and kissed Delilah's neck slowly and lovingly, tickling her stomach with his hands and giggled to himself

"You're a nut, but I love you!" he said nuzzling his lips against her ear, "and our rocky relationship really could be a soap opera! Hopefully everything will calm down again after the wedding."

Gavin paused and waggled his fingers up at the ceiling as Delilah had

"Wanna know a secret?" he asked the ceiling, "when Dee goes back to the house we now share she'll find 1500 red, white and pink rose petals all over the bed...waiting for her! One for every hour I've loved her."

He turned back to Delilah and rubbed noses with her

"It's true you know! I hope you can clean!"

Delilah smirked and poked at Gavin. "Only 1500 hours?" she said. "That totals up to... let's see... 62.5 days. What's with only loving me half a day?" she teased.

Then, she pouted. "I hate cleaning. If you don't clean them up, they're just going to STAY there and rot... or else I'll put them in the tub."

She giggled a little. "We're idiots. We are talking to the ceiling. As if it's going to talk back, right? What's it going to say-- 'Oh my God, Delilah, Gavin, I love watching you guys. Especially when Gavin gets his lipstick therapy. Oh my God, that is so hot!'"

Delilah snickered, imagining the ceiling talking. "I bet the ceiling could blackmail us if it wanted. It knows all our dirty secrets," she said. "You know what this means, right, Gav? We have to... kill the ceiling! It knows too much. Tonight, the ceiling sleeps with the fishes!"

Gavin laughed loudly at Delilah and stroked her hair like a little child, shaking his head in disbelief

"Dee, are there some sort of tablets you should have been taking?" he giggled

He pulled her closer to him and took out her red lipstick from her pocket, smearing it liberally over Delilah's lips. He then gave her a long, passionate kiss.

"You're right!" he said, again addressing the ceiling, "that was hot!"

Gavin chuckled and tapped her on the nose

"Okay fine miss-smarty-pants: you can count the petals when we get home! And then we should definately put them in the tub and have our first bath together! Infact, I think I'm already looking forward to that!"

Delilah giggled and wiped the smudged lipstick off of herself and Gavin. "You should be ashamed of yourself," she teased. "Why are you behaving like this when the ceiling is watching?"

She turned her head and addressed the ceiling, "Sorry, Mr. Ceiling. My fiance has no manners whatsoever. He's... well... let's just say that he's very... ahem... enthusiastic about spending time with me. You must forgive him."

Delilah turned to Gavin and said, "The ceiling says you're a pervert."

She laughed and tickled his sides. "So, what's up with the half day? Did I tick you off for part of a day or something? Or are you just really bad at math, like I am?"

Cilla walked into the familiar building after her long deserved break. Awhile after the hospital incident Cilla was put on hold as a model and took a week off in Maine. She smiled at the receptionist and gave a familiar friendly wave and headed off to the cafeteria where she dug through her purse for a dollar, sliding it in the machine waiting to recieve the water bottle she paid for.

Picking it up swiftly she sat down and tried to think. In Maine she had seen the interview of the Queen's Clothes. It started off a little shaky but at the end she knew she had enjoyed it. At least most of it, anyway.

She wondered if Delilah was avaliable. Knowing that she was engaged (we'll say she knows, okay?) she wanted to go up and congratulate her, but the building was so boring sometimes. The slightest bit of action in the building was the ridiculous love triangle between Delilah, Gavin and Cecilia. This is why she stayed away from dating - too much effin' drama.

Cilla got up, sighed and entered the photostudio. The director smiled, welcomed her back and pointed her in the direction of her dressing room, briefly going over a few pointers and what she was doing.

Delilah, back in her own office now, reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone. She selected Cilla's name from a list of contacts, and she typed out a text message:

Hey, haven't seen you in a while. If you want, we can do dinner and a shopping spree sometime and catch up. Take care. DSR.

She sent the message and then sat back, thinking. She paused a moment. "Oh, yeah," she muttered, "maybe I should show Mom the dress." Delilah typed up an e-mail to her mother and attached a file containing a shot of her wearing the pretty dress. "Mom's going to love this," she muttered, sending the e-mail.

She grinned and sat back. Life is good, overall. I have a wonderful man who loves me, a decent job, a family who loves me, and I've overcome all those nasty vices I used to have. All in all, I'd say that I'm doing quite well, she thought.

Gavin laughed and smacked Delilah gently on the arm as she started talking to the ceiling again

"The ceiling says you're a pervert." Delilah said

Gavin waggled his tongue at her and folded his arms, pretending to pout

"Maybe I am!" he teased, ruffling her hair, "but don't pretend like you don't love it!"

She laughed and tickled his sides. "So, what's up with the half day? Did I tick you off for part of a day or something? Or are you just really bad at math, like I am?"

He grinned and gave her a long wild kiss again, just so she'd remember how much she loved him,

"Yea, you ticked me off for half a day a couple of weeks ago," Gavin teased, "thought I'd stick it too you: flower form!"

He laughed again and then watched Delilah leave his office, letting out a happy sigh. Life was good: mostly. He flipped open his cell at sent her a fast text message

Delilah reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone. She read the text message and smiled. She couldn't help but giggle to herself. Mrs. R!

She smiled to herself as she pressed in a response:
Missing you too, Mr. R. I'll be there in a little bit, with some chocolate. DSR. XOXOX

She sent the message, giggling a little. We are so immature, texting each other when we're RIGHT BY each other! she thought. It's something high school kids would do.

She rummaged through her desk and pulled out a big box she was saving. It contained several delicious gourmet chocolates from all over the world. She gently shook the box, listening to the candy slide around slightly. Gavin is going to love these, she thought, running her fingers over the top of the box.

She walked out of her office, shutting the door behind her, and walked back to Gavin's office. She set the box down on his desk and said, "Surprise. It's really good chocolates from all over the world, and the only person I plan on sharing them with is you."

Gavin busied himself with unimportant paperwork as the time flicked by quickly. A buzzing sent his attention back to his cell phone, and he grinned when he read Delilah's message, quickly making his hair and clothes a little more presentable if she was coming in

"Surprise." Delilah giggled, planting a box of chocolates on his desk "It's really good chocolates from all over the world, and the only person I plan on sharing them with is you."

Gavin grinned and kissed her hand which was on top of the box, and then looked up at her

"You're trying to fatten me up so you can eat me!" he teased, giving her hand a squeeze, "or maybe you're trying to get me fat so I'm no longer so darn gorgeous!" he giggled

Delilah grinned. "Honey, I'd love you, even if you were as big as a house," she said. "It would take a lot to make you less gorgeous."

She opened up the box, revealing a wide assortment of chocolate of every kind. She reached in and selected a chocolate and then popped it into Gavin's mouth. "The best kind of chocolate available, and it's all for us," she said, perching on the edge of his desk.

She selected another chocolate and nibbled at it. "Oh man, these are good," she said. "I'll have to thank my mom again for these. She has great taste in chocolate, apparently," she remarked.

This is nice, she thought. We're just sitting here, relaxed, talking and eating chocolate. Why can't things always be this good? Why does there have to be so much drama?

Gavin laughed and ate the chocolate from Delilah hand, licking her fingers playfully and she squealed

"You really are going to make me fat!" he chuckled, taking another chocolate and fed it to her, letting her lick his own fingers

"Oh man, these are good," Delilah said. "I'll have to thank my mom again for these. She has great taste in chocolate, apparently,"

He laughed and pulled Delilah from his desk and onto his lap

"I'll have to thank her on a great taste in daughter too!" he teased, nibbling on her neck instead of the chocolates

Delilah laughed and gently pushed Gavin away. "Bite on the chocolates, not me," she said, pretending to scold him. "I'm not food. I don't think..." She pretended to bite on her arm. "Nope," she said. "Not food."

She giggled to herself. "I can just see it, you thanking my mom for having a good taste in daughters. 'Mrs. Stanton, thank you for having such a gorgeous daughter. She makes me so happy... and a few other things, but that makes me happy too...'"

She was laughing too hard to continue. "We are a couple of freaks," she gasped out, between giggles. "Talking to inanimate objects and making stupid jokes. If this were a TV show, we'd have been cancelled a long time ago!"

Gavin chuckled and nibbled on Delilah's neck again playfully, taking up a chocolate and popping it into her mouth

"I'll tell your mother all about you. 'Mrs Stanton, you're daughter is amazing and fantastic and...really very dirty! She's great in bed, but do you know what she makes me do..." he teased

He laughed and pushed Delilah off his lap so she landed on the floor with a bang, rolling backwards in his chair as he started laughing.

"You're the freak!" Gavin teased through his laughter, "what are you doing down there on the floor? Messing around during working hours, I may have to give you the sack Miss Stanton," he giggled, holding out his hand to help her to her feet

Delilah stood and snickered. "Was that give me the sack or make me get in the sack?" she joked. "I think my butt's bruised. I know it's broken-- there's a crack in it!"

She sighed. "You know, of course, that you have to be punished."

She walked behind Gavin and began pushing his rolling chair. She pushed it right out of his office, and then shut the door and locked it.

"That's your punishment," she called out. "When you can learn not to push your gorgeous fiance on the floor, you can come back in. But until then... well... learn to love the hallway, darling."

She snickered to herself and leaned against the door.

Never mess with someone who is used to thinking on her feet, she thought to herself, smirking.

Gavin laughed at Delilah's comments as she picked herself up off the floor. He suddenly felt the chair rolling and she locked the door behind him as he rolled into the hallway

"That's your punishment," she called out. "When you can learn not to push your gorgeous fiance on the floor, you can come back in. But until then... well... learn to love the hallway, darling."

Gavin jumped off his chair and started pounding on the door, trying to hold in his laughter

"Let me in! Help a crazy lady has locked me out of my office!" he called

He finally sat back into his chair and laughed, folding his arms across his chest

"Fine then, but don't expect any love making tonight!" he giggled "You won't last a few minutes without some of my kisses! I'll just sit here and imagine you naked..." he teased to her, closing his eyes, "ooo Delilah, what are you doing! Oooo! How naughty!"

Cecilia walked through the streets of New York. They said that this was the perfect place to be for singles. But the only thing she saw, were people yelling, walking lonely. And just, being like her; pathetic. This was the perfect place for her to be, not for singles.
She entered a café. She sat down and quickly noticed that the mood was very different from Bob's Coffee Corner. She sighed and ordered a coffee, which was brought to her soon. She took a sip and leaned back. The city was filled with gorgeous guys, all very unique in looks. But they would be all the time. Maybe I should just give it a try. she thought, as she emptied her coffee cup and left the café. She walked to a nice man who was about her age.
"Hey." she said, smiling. The guy turned around and returned her smile.
"Hello, do I know you?" he asked, Cecilia laughed a little.
"Nah, I don't think so, my name is Cecilia." He doesn't know, well, it's pretty obvious. He wouldn't watch FashionTV all the time. I'm glad he doesn't.

"You're replaceable, Gavin," Delilah called through the door. "There's lots of guys who can kiss me and do... well, pretty much everything you can. In fact, I think I'll call up an old friend now who'll love to give me lots of attention." She pretended to dial her cell phone. "Hello? Yes, this is Delilah Stanton. Yeah, that one. So, I was thinking... you want to get together later? Oh, sure, bring your friends. We'll all have a good time. Yeah? Okay, bye."

She snickered a little. "Are you through being naughty yet?" she called. "Or do you plan on staying out there a little longer? I'll call up all the guys I used to go to high school with. I bet they really miss me."

Like I'd actually pull a stunt like that, she thought. The only man I want to fool around with is Gavin.

Delilah giggled a little to herself.

Gavin laughed and raised his eyebrows, a little nervous at what Delilah was saying

"Don't play with me babe!" he shouted back, "I'm sure there are tonnes of women in this city...hec in this building, who'd jump at the chance to get with me!"

He stood up and made noises as though he was walking away and then pressed his ear against the door, hearing Delilah snicker

"You'd better start making up for calling all your old boyfriends!" he laughed, brushing his hair back from his face, "you'd better be naked when I get back in there or something!"

Delilah laughed evilly. "Never!" she called out. "I'll never surrender! And I'm going to remained clothed until I get home. You, on the other hand, had better start stripping down."

She peeked through the little window in his office door at him, giggling a little. "I don't see any stripping," she said, making a face at him.

She unlocked the door and opened it. "You're lucky I'm such a generous woman," Delilah teased, "or you'd have been stuck out there for a looooooooong time."

She kissed Gavin. "Damn naughty thing," she teased. "What kind of a boss are you? You should be ashamed of yourself! If you don't behave, I'm calling Cecilia and telling her to come back and take her job back from you."

She woke up and looked next to her, where the guy (Dylan) was sleeping. She smiled and shook her head. She got out of bed, put her clothes on and grabbed her bag. She looked back at Dylan and then closed the door of his appartment.
An hour later, she had the meeting with Brandon, another guy she met that week. She hugged him and smiled.
"Heyaa! How are you?" she asked.
"I'm pretty good, how about you?" Brandon asked.
"I'm good too, so where are you taking me?"
"You'll see"

Gavin laughed and banged on the door again as Delilah peaked through it. Eventually she opened it and kissed him

"Damn naughty thing," she teased. "What kind of a boss are you? You should be ashamed of yourself! If you don't behave, I'm calling Cecilia and telling her to come back and take her job back from you."

He smiled and pushed her back into his office, taking up a chocolate and ate it hungrily, waggling his tongue at her once he'd finished it

"Then we'll both be unemployed together!" Gavin laughed, "and I don't like behaving. Behaving is incredibly boring. I'd rather do this!"

He glanced around and then quickly pulled his sweater over his head and undid all the buttons of his shirt, shrugging it off like a stripper and then threw it to Delilah

"Had enough?" he teased, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist

Delilah grinned at Gavin. She leaned in close and kissed him. She felt him loosen his grip. She smirked and took the opportunity. She grabbed up his shirt, clutching it tightly, and ran out the room.

Delilah stood in the doorway and waved the shirt at her fiance. "Come and get it," she called out, waving it.

She giggled and ran down the hall, the shirt fluttering like a flag. She ran over to the elevator and tapped at the buttons. When it arrived, she rushed into the elevator. She waved the shirt again. "Come and get it, Mr. Ruppetts," she called, laughing. "Before I throw it off the roof!"

The doors closed before Gavin could get to her. She took the elevator to the top floor and then ran up the stairs to the roof. She cackled to herself and waited for Gavin to show up.

That's how she spend her days, going from man to man. It wasn't happiness, but it was close. Het life was probably more ruined than ever before, but she felt good, untill one day.

She had spend almost the whole day in the bathroom, throwing up, feeling miserable. So she decieded to do what she'd never think off. She took a pregnancy test. She just stood there, waiting for the test thing to stop testing. Finally, it was time. She grabbed the pregnancy test and watched carefully. She took the note with her and looked on it, to see what it meant...

Gavin jumped as Delilah ran away from him, realising she had his shirt and he turned red. He was hardly going to go topless through the office, what if someone saw him? It would make a great shot for the paparazzi!

"Come and get it, Mr. Ruppetts," Delilah called, laughing. "Before I throw it off the roof!"

He laughed again and raced after her, the elevator doors closing just as he reached it, so he spun around and took the stairs, running up them three at a time until he got to the roof. Delilah was standing, holding his shirt tightly in her hand with a naughty grin on her face, waiting for him

"You're evil!" Gavin laughed, running towards her and jumped on her, the two of them crashing to the floor

He snatched his shirt back and chucked it into the stairwell and started to kiss his fiance, pinning her to the ground. After a moment he pounced and pulled her shirt and sweater over her head, leaving her in just her bra

"My turn!" Gavin laughed, running over to the side of the building and waved them over the edge tentatively, preparing to drop them, "now start stripping or the shirt gets it!" he grinned

Delilah crawled over to Gavin, trying to make sure no one on the street could see her.

She reached Gavin finally, and then reached up and gave his pants a hard tug, pulling them down. This distracted him, at least temporarily.

Then, she laughed and hurried back over to the stairwell. She grabbed the shirt that Gavin had discarded and put it on, buttoning it as she ran down the stairs, giggling.

You have to get up early to trick me, she thought with a smirk.

She leaned against a wall in the stairwell, giggling to herself. Delilah, one point. Gavin, zero, she thought. Luckily, I am generous.

"Hurry up and get me," she called.

She dropped the test.
No... no, no, no, noooo!

"NOOOO!" she yelled. "This can't happen NO! NNOOO!" she sat down on her couch and stared at the telephone. Would she dare to do it? After everything that happened, would she be able to call him and say she needed him? How many times did she say that and jumped on him. She decieded something else, she would just message him.

Gavin...
I... I need you. I really do, and I promise I won't jump on you because...
That wouldn't be so good for...
For my baby.

She waited a moment, but did click on 'send'.
She leaned back and waited for him to message back, this wasn't going to be pretty.

Gavin's hands flew to his pants as Delilah dragged them downwards and he gasped, accidently letting her shirt and sweater flutter to the ground. At the same time, the mass of reporters and photographers outside saw the clothes and looked up, snapping picture of him with his jeans around his ankles

"Oh sh*t!" he laughed, dragging his pants into place and then chased Delilah down the stairwell, groaning when he realised she'd taken his shirt

He ran down the first flight of stairs and dived on her again, putting his arms under her legs and picked her up

"You are so naughty!" Gavin breathed with a chuckle, "I'm gunna get you baaad!"

He gave her a long kiss and then placed her on her feet again, at the same time grabbing the back of her skirt and pulled the zip down, letting her skirt fall to the floor. Delilah gasped and he snatched it from her, running away and held it up like a trophy

"Nice *ss!" he remarked, before running back down the stairs and into his office with her skirt firmly tucked into his pocket. He then locked his office door, but not before running across the hallway and locked her own office so she couldn't get in

Delilah peeked out from the stairwell. Oh God, don't let them see me, she thought.

She paused a moment, and then decided the stairs were a safer bet. No one took them.

She ran down the stairs, hoping no one would see her. She finally reached the right floor. She hurried to Gavin's office and tried the door. Locked.

"Let me in!" she wailed, banging at the door. "Let me in, or else I'm leaving the company."

Extreme, but so is leaving me in my panties! she thought.

"Damn it, Gavin, let me in now! NOW!" she yelled.

Gavin walked over to the door and peeked through the window at Delilah who was banging on the door

"You're just drawing attention to yourself!" he laughed

He stuck his tongue out at her through the door and played with the handle

"Promise you'll do niiiiice things to me if I let you in?" he giggled

Gavin finally opened the door and let her in, pulling her into an embrace as he closed the door again behind her

"You aint getting your skirt back though!" he said with a smirk.

He took her skirt, opened the window and threw it out of it, watching it flutter to the ground, "whoops!" he giggled

Delilah looked out the window, at her skirt, and then at Gavin. She narrowed her eyes, angry. "Just for that," she said. "You're sleeping on the sofa for two weeks. That includes our honeymoon. And no action for you."

She glared at him and sat on his chair. "At least I was nice enough not to throw your clothes out on the street, you jerk," she snapped, angry.

What a damn jerk! she thought. She thought several choice swear-words, becoming more and more infuriated. Just wait, she thought angrily. I'm getting revenge.

"You, Gavin Ruppetts, are a class-A freaking jerk, you know that?" she said sharply. "At least when I stole your clothes, I didn't throw them out on the bloody street. But apparently, you have to be a freaking a**hole!"

Gavin's smile dropped dramatically when he saw Delilah's face

"Babe, I'm sorry!" he said, running over to her when he realised what he'd done, "I'm so sorry!"

He gave her a gentle kiss and then stood up again, feeling tears in his eyes. Why did he always blow it? He ran, shirtless, all the way out of the office and down the street, finally stopping at a designer clothes shop and ran in. Ten minutes later he rushed back into the office with his arms laden with 5 bags stuffed with designer clothing, all for Delilah. He rushed into the office and dropped the bags at her feet

"I'm so sorry!" he repeated, looking at the floor sadly

Delilah shook her head. She took a skirt out of one of the bags, pulled the tag off, and put it on. She zipped it up. She gave Gavin a look of icy fury as she walked out of the office. She walked down the stairs and out of the building.

She looked up and down the street, contemplating her next move. Bar? No, she'd stopped drinking. Besides, if she got drunk, things would only get worse. She noticed that there was a dance club down the street.

Damn, there's everything on this street, she thought. Maybe I'll go in for a while until I calm down.

She walked down the street to the club and paid the cover charge to the bouncer at the door, who eyed her with more than a bit of lust in his eyes. He allowed her to enter the club.

There weren't too many people in, as it was daytime, but a few people were on the dance floor. Delilah sighed and leaned against a wall. It's just like high school again, she thought bitterly.

"Hey," a familiar voice called. Delilah turned. "Oh, it's you," she said.

It was that guy who had tried to talk her into joining up with Elemental. "What are you doing here? Trying to recruit more idiots?" she asked.

"No. My sister sent me here to drag one of the models out of here. She's a heavy drinker and drug user. But apparently, she's in the restroom. Can you get her, please?"

"Sure," Delilah groaned.

She walked into the restroom, which was empty, except for a very attractive woman with bloodshot eyes, who was leaning over to snort a line of white powder.

"Nuh uh, honey," Delilah said, grabbing the woman away and blowing the powder away with a puff of breath. "That stuff's bad for you. One of your bosses sent me in here for you."

She tugged the woman out of the restroom and brought her over to the man. "I suggest you talk to her about getting into rehab. I used to do all that stuff, but I was mostly a heavy drinker. Well, I was, but I stopped because--"

Delilah paused. I stopped because of Gavin, she thought.

"I stopped because I realized that I wanted to stay alive and remain healthy because of someone special," she said.

"Well, he's a lucky guy," the man said. "Thanks for getting her out of the restroom." He turned to the model. "Natalia, come on. You have a photoshoot, and then Lia and I are going to give you quite a talking to," he said, leading her out.

Delilah sighed and leaned against the wall. I yelled at Gavin... she thought, upset.

Gavin sighed and watched Delilah glare at him and then storm out of his office. He let out a deep rumbling groan and sat down on his chair, not before walking over to his door and locking it: the last thing he wanted right now was someone walking in on him, he needed time to think. As he sat back and closed his eyes, he heard his cell phone buzz and he took it out, letting out a loud moan when he read it

Gavin...
I... I need you. I really do, and I promise I won't jump on you because...
That wouldn't be so good for...
For my baby.

He quickly typed a reply and chucked his cell phone into the bottom drawer of his desk so he wouldn't have to deal with Cecilia. He had bigger things to worry about: like whether there'd still be a wedding

Delilah groaned. My cell phone was in my skirt, she thought. And the skirt... hit the ground... which means no more cell phone. And no way of getting in touch with Gavin, she thought.

"What am I going to do now?" she muttered. A couple of people edged away from her, looking as though they thought she was intoxicated.

She went back by the restrooms, where she saw a pay phone. Luckily, she always kept some change in her shoe. She pulled it out and put it into the phone and then dialed Gavin's cell phone number.

"Hey," she said softly. "I'm in that club down the street. That guy from Elemental was here and--"

Someone snatched the phone from her and put the phone back on the hook. "Why are you talking on the phone when you should be dancing?" the perpetrator asked. He was clearly intoxicated.

"Damn it, I was talking to my fiance," Delilah snapped. "And now I don't have any change on me to call him back!"

"Don't yell at me," the drunk guy replied. "It makes you look ugly."

She messaged and not late after that she got a call. It was one of the guys, she sighed and picked up.
"Cecilia" she said.
"Yes, Tom here, I wanted to ask why you left so soon."
"Work" she said quickly. "Yes, I had work, I'm sorry."
"It's ok, want to meet up soon?"
"I'm sorry but I really shouldn't. I need to go now. Bye"
"Bye, love you."
"Yeah, thanks, I guess. Bye."

Gavin sighed again and closed his eyes, dreading what was going to happen between him and Delilah. I've blown it. Once again jerk-*ss Gavin has to go screw up his relationships, can't possibly actually spend the rest of his life with a women. I need to f*king ruin everything. His thoughts were interrupted as his cell phone buzzed from the bottom drawer; he was going to leave it when he grew too curious. The first was a message from Cecilia which he didn't open, the second a call from a payphone: Delilah

Oh god, she'd better be okay. If somethings happened I swear...

Gavin quickly dialed the number of the payphone again and bit his lip, hoping this wasn't going to be her sick way of dumping him

The telephone rang, and Delilah reached out and grabbed at the phone, but the drunk grabbed it first.

"'Ello?" he said. "No, I'm not Delilah. Who the hell are you? Ga-what?"

Delilah shoved the drunk away and grabbed the phone from him. "Damn drunk," she muttered. "Hey, Gavin," she said. "This damn drunk won't leave me alone over here. Get your butt over here quick."

The drunk grabbed the phone back from Delilah. "Hey, dude," he said. "I'm gonna do this hot chick, if you don't mind. What? Well, I'll do it anyways. Yeah? Well, same to you, buddy."

Delilah hid in the women's restroom and stepped into the first stall and locked it. "At least that'll keep him at bay for a little while," she muttered.

Gavin's face turned stoney on hearing the drunk answer the phone, fortunatley Delilah snatched it off him, only for him to grab it back shortly after. His mouth dropped open and his brow furrowedly furiously as he told him he'd 'do' his girlfriend, and he hung up quickly.

He practically sprinted all the way to the club Delilah had said she was in, and forced his way in, pushing past the bouncer. He stood in the entrance and saw many 'drunks' around, noticing one walking into the women's restroom...

Delilah looked around the stall. Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. She had essentially trapped herself.

Smooth move, she mocked herself.

She heard the bathroom door open slowly. Gavin! she thought, excitedly. Her excitement was short-lived.

"Hey, gorgeous," she heard the drunk call. "Come on out. I wanna get you a drink... and then maybe we can go somewhere and get to know each other better."

You wish, Delilah thought, looking around, biting her lip. Gavin, hurry!

She saw his feet stop outside her stall. "Are you in there?" he called. "Maybe I should come in and join you."

He tugged at the door, rattling it. "Come on, baby, let me in," he cajoled. "I just want to be nice to you."

Why does this kind of crap happen? Always with the drama! she thought wryly. Damn, life sucks.

She hoped that Gavin would arrive soon.

Gavin shook from fury and fear as a drunk entered the womens restroom, hoping to god Delilah wasn't in there. But instinct, and the fact that she was nowhere to be seen, told him it was the worst. He ran over to the restroom and forced his way in, just as he heard the door to a cubicle rattle

"Come on, baby, let me in," the drunk cajoled. "I just want to be nice to you."

Gavin snapped and stormed over to the man, kicking him swiftly between the legs at the same time his fist connected with his nose, sending blood spurting on his knuckles. He shuddered and looked down on the man, then turned his attention to the cubicle

"Come on babe, let me in!" he said in a pervy voice as though immitating the drunk and then banged gently on the door.

It was only then he realised he had tears running down his cheeks

Delilah heard the restroom door open again. After a few seconds, she heard the loud thud of someone hitting the ground. Then, she heard someone say, "Come on, babe, let me in!"

She peeked through the crack between the wall and door, fearing the worst. She sighed in relief. It was Gavin, and he was crying.

Slowly, Delilah opened the door and wrapped her arms tightly around him. She pressed her face against his chest, now also crying.

"Oh God, I was so scared," she gasped out. "If you hadn't gotten here, he might have managed to get to me... and would have done stuff to me..." She clutched at him. "I'm sorry for yelling at you and running off."

He came after me. Even after I yelled at him and all... Delilah thought, feeling the tears run down her face. Even though I was so mean to him...

Gavin held Delilah close to him and let several more tears roll down his own cheeks. After a few minutes of holding each other, he brushed his face and lifted her chin

"I would never ever ever let anyone do something like that to you. I'd die first. I'd die for you." he replied, his face serious and sad

He wiped her cheeks with his thumb, brushing the tears away and then kissed the stains on her cheeks

"Don't apologize," Gavin breathed, "dont apologize to me, I don't deserve it. I love you Delilah, I love you more than anything else in this world."

Delilah smiled weakly. "What do you say we take the rest of the day off?" she said. "First, we go get me a new cell phone to replace the one you smashed when you tossed my skirt out the window. And then we go home and soak in the tub. Today's been too damn stressful."

She squeezed Gavin's hands and led him out of the restroom and out of the club.

"I just need to get my purse out of my office, and then we can go," she said.

They walked to the Queen's Clothes building, and headed up to the offices. Delilah tugged at her office door. "Locked this one too?" she asked.

She lightly poked Gavin's arm. "Unlock," she said.

Gavin sighed heavily, but finally a little happier and followed Delilah to the Queens Clothes building, stopping at her office. He smiled when he realised it was still locked

"Sorry!" he laughed gently, unlocking her door for her, "I've been saying sorry a lot in the past hour!"

He watched her get her stuff from her office and then took Delilah's hand, walking with her down to the parking lot. He looked at her with utter adoration and love, never wanting them to argue again. He hated it, he hated not getting along with her, he hated he angry with him: he hated it all. He just wanted to show her the most love anyone could show a person, as much love as he possibly could

"You go home babe," he said, kissing her neck softly, "I'll get a cab and go get you a new cell phone. Meanwhile you can run the tub and set up a bed for me on the sofa."

After a while Cecilia took her phone and called Gavin.
When he answered she started explaining.

"Gavin" she said softly. "First, I want to say that i'm sorry about everything that has happened." she took a deep breath.
"As you may gave noticed... I... I'm pregnant, and I just need someone right now, except from... nevermind." she sighed.

"I know you are really busy with the wedding and all and with the office and Delilah, but I have no one else to call. Oh god, why is this happening."

Delilah nodded. "That works, but I don't think I want you on the sofa after all," she replied. She took the keys from Gavin's pocket and kissed him. "Don't take too long."

She opened the car door and climbed in. After adjusting the driver's seat to suit her, she shut the door. Delilah gave Gavin a smile and started the car up. "See you soon," she said softly.

She drove off and headed for their home. When she arrived, she climbed out of the car and headed inside. She kicked off her shoes and stepped into her slippers. She walked off to the bathroom.

After removing her clothes, she ran hot water in the tub. As the tub filled, she added bubblebath. Then, she stepped into the tub and sat down. Delilah sighed in relief. Much better, she thought.

Gavin took a cab to the cell phone place and ordered the best cell he could find, black with a red guitar design on the back with as much fancy stuff as you could possibly want. He smiled to himself and hauled another taxi, sighing happily as they set off to his house. His mood was interrupted, however, as his own cell phone rang

"Gavin" Cecilia said softly. "First, I want to say that i'm sorry about everything that has happened. As you may gave noticed... I... I'm pregnant, and I just need someone right now, except from... nevermind." she sighed. "I know you are really busy with the wedding and all and with the office and Delilah, but I have no one else to call. Oh god, why is this happening."

Gavin sighed heavily and slunk further down in his seat

"C, I don't know what's going on with you. Perhaps you should be talking to the father of your baby. I know you don't think you're ready for a child, but I'm pleased you've finally found someone. Listen, I'm a bit busy right now, I'll call you later."

He hung up his cell phone and stepped out of the cab, walking up the steps to his front door

"Delilah, I'm home!" he called, beginning up the stairs

Gavin walked into the bathroom and his jaw dropped when he saw her in the tub, his cheeks flushing red and he leant against the door post,

"Want some company?" he asked cautiously, not wanting to overstep anything after their fight

She closed her eyes and then decieded to message him.
But I don't know who tha father is, Gavin. Believe me, I haven't found anyone. she messaged.
She took a bite of her chocolatebar and sipped her coffee.
"He doesn't understand does he?"
A tear fell down her cheek. She wanted happiness, and this was what she got. Something that people would think would be great, but it wasn't.
"Lifestyles, there are no lifestyles you just have happy and not happy and that's it!"

Delilah peered over at Gavin. "Nah, my other husband joined me while you were out. I don't feel like letting you come in now," she joked. "It would really make him jealous."

She laughed a little. "Sure, you can come in. Just don't bring in any toy sailboats or anything like that, or else I'll bring my rubber ducks in to eat your sailboats. They especially like pirate ships, and they enjoy sinking battleships."

She grinned at Gavin, feeling better after having soaked in the tub for a while. "It's been really quiet while you were out. It was really creepy. Well, actually, the phone rang, but it was a telemarketer trying to convince me to switch telephone services. I told them my name's not on the house and I don't pay the bills, so I can't decide. They'll probably call back later and bother the hell out of you."

Delilah sighed. "But enough of my talk. Get your butt in here before I drag you in," she said, waving a bar of soap threateningly.

Gavin laughed and pretended to tap his foot and rub his chin as though he was thinking

"My sailboats would kick your ducks *ss!" he teased

He smiled as Delilah waved the soap at him and rolled his eyes

"Oh alright then!" he laughed, "as long as you don't mind watching me undress!"

Gavin quickly removed his clothes and turned around, shaking his butt at Delilah a little, before climbing into the bath beside her.

"Love you," he said with a smile, playfully splashing water at her as he shuffled to get comfortable

Delilah giggled and covered her eyes as Gavin undressed. "My poor innocent eyes can't handle that kind of thing!" she cried out. She peeked between her fingers. "Ooh, very nice," she added, grinning.

She moved to make room for Gavin in the tub. "There, now you're in the tub. Happy?" she asked, playfully splashing him.

She grabbed a shampoo bottle and poked at him with it. "And now, you must submit to the Stanton Shampoo Torture of Doom!" she said threateningly. She giggled and put the bottle back on the edge of the tub. It fell back in and splashed her.

"The bottle strikes back!" she said dramatically. "It returned for revenge! Oh accursed shampoo bottle, why do you mock me with your splashes? Haunt me no longer!"

She giggled and splashed at Gavin again.

Gavin laughed and picked up the soap, beginning to rub it on his chest

"You're so crazy!" he said with a smile, "clincally insane I think!"

He giggled and splashed Delilah back, grabbing her shoulders and pushed her further under the water so her legs shot out of the tub. He covered his mouth and tired to stifle the giggles as she attempted to sit up again. He turned her around so she had his back to him and then pulled Delilah to lean against his chest, wrapping his arms around her stomach protectively

After a multitude of kisses and a tickle/splash fight in the tub, Gavin stood up and got out, wrapping a fluffy white towel around his waist and then held his hand out to help Delilah out

"Bed time babe," he said, pulling her out of the tub and pulled her into an embrace, wrapping the towel around his waist around the both of them, then moved back into the bedroom. They fell asleep under the covers in each others arms


**Morning**

Gavin smiled and rolled over, brushing Delilah's cheek gently with his thumb

"Morning," he whispered, kissing her nose as she slept

He climbed out of the bed and shivered, still naked from the previous evening and cold as the heating wasn't on. He padded across the bedroom and pulled on a pair of dark boxers, then headed downstairs to prepare breakfast

Delilah opened her eyes and yawned. Morning. I hate mornings... unless it means waking up in the bed of an incredible guy who loves me, she thought. She stood slowly and grabbed up her robe, which was on the floor. She wrapped it around her and tied the sash tightly around her waist.

She walked out of the bedroom and headed to the kitchen, where Gavin was making breakfast. Delilah wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his cheek. "Good morning, sweetie," she greeted him. She peeked over at the food. "Ooh, that looks good," she remarked. "Anything I can do to help out? I'll set the table."

She reached into the cupboard and pulled out some plates and cups. She arranged them around the table, and then went back for silverware and napkins. Then, she took the orange juice out of the refrigerator and placed it on the table. There, that looks nice, she thought, admiring her work.

Delilah walked back over to Gavin and watched him cook, passing him whatever utensils and seasonings he needed.

Gavin smiled at Delilah and continued cooking the pancakes he was making for breakfast

"Morning hunni," he said as she moved over and set the table.

He poured some more batter into the frying pan and continued to cook until he had a large pile of pancakes on the plate beside him, looking up occasionally to smile or just watch Delilah. It feels good not to be here all on my own. Or not waking up to a distant females face who'll rush out of the door in a split second and I'll never call her again. It's good to have someone to love

"Breakfast's ready," Gavin said happily, moving the plate laden with pancakes over to the table and set out some syrup and a big bowl of strawberries

Pulling on a loose sweater over his naked torso, he sat down opposite Delilah and poured her some orange juice into a cup, grinning at her

"Look at us!" he giggled, "we're almost having a normal relationship for 10 minutes!"

"That's a new record for us, isn't it?" Delilah teased. "It's a lot nicer than locking each other out of our offices and throwing clothes out of windows."

She helped herself to some pancakes and poured syrup over them. "Ooh, these look really good," she said. She cut into one and took a bite. "Yeah, these are definitely good. You're a better cook than I am, that's for sure. Whenever I try to make pancakes, they end up burnt on the edges. I can make really good spaghetti though. You might be able to bribe me into making it for you someday." She added some strawberries on top of her pancakes and continued to eat.

"So," Delilah said, "what's on the agenda for today?"

Oh my God, we're already acting like a married couple, albeit a rather insane one, she thought, grinning to herself.

Gavin laughed and helped himself to a pancake, nibbling on it as he watched Delilah. He'd hoped she was a fan of pancakes, who wasn't? And if was something he made pretty well. In a few days she'd realise he couldn't cook to save his life: just a few meals here and there.

"Agenda for today..." he pondered with a small smirk, "other than loving me insanely?"

He laughed at his own joke and poured a little syrup onto his pancake, shovelling it into his mouth gracefully

"I guess we'd better go to work," Gavin said with a sigh, "although I'd much rather stay here all day with you!"

"Agenda for today..." Gavin pondered with a small smirk, "other than loving me insanely?"

Delilah grinned. "But I do that every day," she replied. "It's just that sometimes that insane part takes over and one of us ends up half-dead or with a stalker."

"I guess we'd better go to work," Gavin said with a sigh, "although I'd much rather stay here all day with you!"

Delilah nodded. "Yeah, I don't blame you. Things have been pretty slow at QC lately. I think we need to do something to perk everyone up. Bring some life back into the company. But what...?"

She thought for a minute. "What would everyone enjoy that won't break the bank and won't lead to anyone ending up in the hospital? I can't come up with anything-- it's too early in the morning for me to think properly."

She finished off her pancakes. "Some kind of party? Some kind of crazy clothing theme day? Karaoke? Big company-wide photoshoot for some new ads? Seriously, my brain is not working yet. In a few hours, I might actually have something."

Gavin laughed and listened to Delilah throw out ideas about a party for the company, clearing up the table and shoved everything in the sink

"You can clear that all up later!" he teased

He blew Delilah a kiss and then left the kitchen, heading upstairs to get ready. Five minutes later he walked back in, dressed in darkwash jeans and red sweater with a silver necklace around his neck

"I get to watch you change!" he laughed, watching her finish her breakfast, "it's in the rules!"

Gavin leant against the doorpost and thought about ideas --a photoshoot would be good, publicity for the company and get everyone involved --or a party of some sort. Something that wasn't overly expensive

Delilah shrugged. "Fine, if you want to watch, whatever. Nothing you haven't seen already by now, right? But remember, those same rules state that I get to watch you dress too," she said.

She put her plate, fork, and cup into the sink and headed up to their bedroom, followed by Gavin. She took off her robe and hung it in the closet. Then, she rummaged through her selection of clothes and pulled out some undergarments and a nice dress.

"Do you approve?" she asked, smirking. "If not, tough."

She pulled on her underclothes and then put her dress on. She stepped into a nice pair of black flats and then headed into the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and then gargled with mouthwash. After that, she brushed and styled her hair and then applied her makeup.

Delilah turned to Gavin and kissed him. "There, now you've had your little show for the day, you perv," she teased.

Gavin quirked his eyebrows and grinned, watching Delilah change into her clothes for the day, and thenshe hugged him

He laughed and leant down and gave her a long kiss, moving his hands to the hem of her dress. He slid his hands into her dress and stroked her back, playing with the waistband of her underwear

"I'm not a perv!" he giggled

He dragged her underwear down to her knees and starting laughing, turning and ran down the stairs away from Delilah as fast as he could

"Better hurry up or I'll leave without you!" Gavin chuckled, taking his keys and ran out of the front door, glancing back to see if she was chasing him

Delilah pulled her underwear back up and ran after Gavin. "Do it again, and you'll really be sleeping on the sofa!" she yelled.

She caught up to him and jumped onto his back. "I command you to give me a piggyback ride to your car. That is your punishment for your behavior," she said. "You have really been acting up lately," she said.

She messed up his hair. "So, have you thought of anything yet? Any great idea to spark life back into the company? Because we really need it. Elemental is catching up to QC rather quickly. I checked the fashion news stuff online the other day. I figured someone should keep track of all that stuff, even though it's not really my thing."

She snickered. "After all, I am still a secretary, and I'm responsible for finding out those kinds of things," she said.

Gavin laughed and gave gave Delilah a piggyback ride to his car

"Hey, hands off the hair!" he said, swatting her hands away from his hair with a giggle

He dropped her down on the ground and turned back to face her, cupping her chin in his hands

"Not like me loving and wanting you?" Gavin asked, a hint of seriousness(???) and doubt in his voice, "going off me already?"

He sighed and got into the car, pressing a button so the roof of his convertible shot upwards and he closed his door, fearing it would soon rain. Dee's always yelling at me recently. It's like she's only interested in me cause...I dunno, cause I give her stuff, and she can't stand me touching her

"Let's go then," he said solemly, "better get to work. I haven't thought of anything yet, but yea, we need to do something to save the company. At least we have more press than Elemental."

Delilah rested her head on Gavin's shoulder. "Yeah," she said. "We do get more press than Elemental. The problem is, the press that we get is about the whole Cecilia thing and the whole thing between us, and the press on Elemental is mostly good... unless it has to do with the owner, who seems to really like to stir up controversy. I mean, so far, she's been surrogate mother for a gay couple twice and shares custody with them. She's in a relationship with one of her models, who underwent male to female surgery. Oh, and there's the fact that she's working very closely with one of the most successful magazines for women. Lately, QC has been getting more press, but overall Elemental gets more."

She sighed and kissed Gavin's cheek. "Sorry I've been so moody lately," she apologized. "I guess it's the stress of wedding planning, on top of everything else. Also..."

She paused. It was like she had forgotten something. What was it?

"Never mind. There was something else, but it slipped my mind. When I remember, I'll tell you," she said. "Point is, it's stress. That's all."

She squeezed Gavin's hand tightly, reassuringly.

What was it? she thought. What's missing? Is it...? Nah. It's just stress. It has to be. Right?

Gavin sighed and gave Delilah a small smile, driving the car onto the freeway as she suddenly went quiet

"What's up?" he asked, turning his head to face her, "what was the something else? You okay?"

He continued to drive for the next ten minutes and then stopped outside of QC, leaving the doors locked so she'd have to talk to him

"You still...wanna get married right?" he asked nervously, "is this when I find out you're married with three kids already?"

"Of course I want to get married," Delilah said, smiling. "And trust me, if I was married and had kids, I'd know by now. They'd have brought me to court for failure to pay child support, or something like that."

Better try to get to a doctor, she thought. That way, I can stop worrying. It's got to just be all the stress from the drama this company is known for. I mean, stress does cause those kinds of symptoms. Remember back in high school? Same thing. That's all it is. I mean, really, what are the odds?

She squeezed Gavin's hand. "Sweetie, trust me, there is nothing that would make me happier than marrying you. Really. But I've been stressed out a lot, and I think that I should see a doctor soon, to see if there's something that can be done about it. You know, techniques to help me relax, that kind of thing. Besides, we still need to get blood tests done and all that good crap anyways."

She paused. Can't be. Can't be. It's stress. That's all it is. The doctor will give me some pills or something, some kind of mild tranquilizers. That's all it is. Hell, these last few weeks have been pretty insane.

Gavin frownded a little and pulled Delilah across the car and onto his lap, beginning to sweat a little

"Babe seriously, you can talk to me. Why do you want a doctor?" he asked nervously

He stroked her cheek and watched his hand tremble a little. What about their plan? What about everything they'd talked about? Was she...? Could she be??

"Want to go right now?" Gavin asked

He didn't wait for an answer and set her back in her seat, driving towards the nearest doctors and stopped the car outside

Delilah bit her lip. Gavin is going to kill me. Not sure which of the two possible solutions would lead him to do it, but... it's stress. It has to be. There's no way that... or... if... damn.

She stepped out of the car and headed into the building. The receptionist handed her a clipboard. "Fill this out, Miss. It's not too busy today, so you should be able to see a doctor shortly," the woman told Delilah.

Delilah nodded and sat down to fill out the forms. It took several minutes to complete them all, but she finally finished and handed them to the receptionist, who nodded and typed the information into a computer. Then, she checked a board and said, "Doctor Desjardin can see you now, as his last patient has just left."

Delilah nodded. "Great, but can my fiance come in with me?"

"Of course," the receptionist said.

Delilah sighed and bit her lip. Stress. It's just stress. Really, she thought. It's got to be.

Gavin shuffled from foot to foot, uncertain what to do as Delilah filled in some sheets for the doctor. After a couple of minutes she was allowed in and he was able to go too

"Morning Doctor Desjardin" Gavin said as he sat down on the spare chair in the doctor's office, "this is Delilah"

The man stood up, checked the sheets of paper in front of him and walked over to Delilah,

"May I ask what's wrong?" he asked her, "I'll probably have to do a few routine tests, and take some blood. But first, please explain to me the problem."

He smiled and sat back down on his chair, and Gavin eyed his worriedly, glancing over at his fiance who looked very pale

Delilah smiled weakly and glanced over at Gavin. Then, she looked over at the doctor, who smiled reassuringly.

"It's okay," the doctor said. "Whatever it is, I can help you with."

"Well..." Delilah said hesitantly. "The last time I had a period was... let's see..." She checked her cell phone schedule. "One month and three weeks ago." She looked up at the doctor. "My fiance and I work at a fashion company..."

"Yes, Queen's Clothes. I saw the interview," the doctor remarked. "My wife's been following the story the way other people watch the stock market. Continue. Sorry for interrupting."

Delilah continued, "Well, our job, as I'm sure you could tell, is rather stressful, due to all the drama that's going on."

The doctor nodded and scribbled down a few notes. "Well, the two most likely causes of your missed menstruation are stress and pregnancy. Have you been feeling fatigued?"

"Yes, but we've been planning a wedding, which is rather stressful," Delilah replied.

The doctor nodded and checked off a few items. "Nausea? Vomiting?"

"None."

"Mood swings?"

Delilah bit her lip. "...Yeaaah..." she said slowly. "Quite a bit."

"Frequent mild headaches?"

"From time to time."

"Mmmhmm," the doctor said. He wrote a few things down. "Well," he said, "we can easily run some tests to pinpoint what the cause of your symptoms is. It'll take between three to five days to get the results in, though."

Gavin zoned out after a few minutes. Pregnancy...pregnancy... He didn't know whether to jump for joy, or whether to cry hysterically. He wanted kids, he wanted little Gavin-Delilah's running around, but was it too early?

"I'm sorry," he interrupted, looking up at Delilah, "can we not do a home pregnancy test or something to get more immediate results? That way we'll know whether she really is pregnant, and if not, these tests will find out what is wrong."

Gavin smiled at the doctor and then grabbed Delilah's hand, pulling her into the hallway and closed the door behind him, signalling to the doctor that they'd be back in a moment

"What...how...what?" he stammered, running his hands through his hair, "why didn't you tell me sooner?" he asked softly, "and more importantly, are you ready for a child?"

Delilah sighed. "As to 'how,' obviously, while we were getting our jollies on where ever, we weren't careful enough. I didn't tell you because I figured it was caused by stress, since something similar happened in high school." She sighed. "I don't know if I'm ready or not, but... eh, que sera, sera."

Stop trying to pretend like you're not freaking out, she told herself. You've been trying to convince yourself it's stress, stress, stress. Well, maybe it is and maybe it's not. But now you might actually have a problem on your hands to deal with, one way or another. And what are you going to do? If you got knocked up, Gavin is going to think you did it to trap him into marrying you, blah blah blah. And if you're not, then it means that there's something else wrong with you. It's a lose-lose situation, ain't it, Dee?

"Seriously, with all the drama at the company, I didn't really notice until I actually checked my schedule a few weeks ago."

Gavin paced the hallway anxiously, brushing his hair with his hands violently. He finally walked back up to Delilah,

"It's not your fault I know!" he said, his voice shaking, "but...I'm 22! 22! My mum would think that's too young to get married, let alone have a child."

He let out a loud groan and then kissed Deliliah softly, pulling her to him

"I'll still love you though," he continued, "I'll still want to marry you."

He smiled a little and pulled her back into the doctor's room, closing the door and he remained on the outside. Gavin slowly walked down the hallway and sat in the waiting room while the doctor ran tests on her

After the tests, the doctor looked over at Delilah, concerned. "He's not too keen on the idea of you being pregnant, I take it?" he said.

Delilah frowned. "He's a little stressed about the idea, mostly about what his mother will think about it. His parents are... uh... pretty conservative. Old money types."

"My sympathies," the doctor said. "I can relate though. My wife's folks wanted her to marry right out of high school, get hitched to some rich guy they knew. Imagine how thrilled they were when she went to college to become a journalist and ended up marrying me. We... uh... had to get married. I wouldn't trade my wife or kids for anything, but looking back, we were too young. Whatever happens, I hope things go well for you."

He became more professional then. "I'll have my nurse call you with the results as soon as they come in. If there is anything that comes up, call us or come in, and we'll try to accomodate you as soon as possible. Pay the receptionist up front."

"Thank you," Delilah replied. She walked out of the room and into the hallway. She smiled weakly at Gavin. "Hey," she said softly. "Guess we'll find out in a few day if I'm paranoid or in denial."

Gavin sat with his head in his hands, afraid at what Delilah would say about him freaking out back there. He had now accepted it: whatever was going to happen, would: and whatever had already happened couldn't be changed. He needed to be their for his beautiful fiance when she needed him most, not freaking out in the hallway

"Hey," Delilah said softly. "Guess we'll find out in a few day if I'm paranoid or in denial."

Gavin stood up and kissed her, wrapping his arms around her waist. He then stepped back and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry for freaking out, just a little stressed," he said, "hey, maybe I'm pregnant!" he laughed

He walked over to the receptionist and paid, then took Delilah's hand and got back in the car

"Do you want the tests to be positive or negative?" he asked softly as he started the engine, "I honestly don't mind either way."

Delilah thought for a moment. "I'm not really sure. If they're positive, your mom will be ticked, mine will be thrilled, I'll have to buy lots of pregnant clothes, and it'll mean a big drain on our money. If they're negative, your mom will be pleased, mine will be ticked, and we'll both probably need crazy pills. So, whatever."

She sighed and leaned back in her seat. "I wouldn't mind the results being positive, although it would have been better if it had been, you know... later. Like, by a few years."

She sat back and closed her eyes, thinking. So this means spending the next few days all twitchy and nervous, overanalyzing every little thing, until I get a call about the results. I still think it's stress. I mean, a lot of the symptoms I have could also be indicative of being stressed out. I bet that doctor got a good laugh, at least.

She paused in her thoughts. Desjardin. Why does that sound so familiar?

She opened her eyes and spoke. "Desjardin is also the last name of the person who runs the magazine that Elemental works closely with. It's probably his wife or sister or something like that."

Gavin nodded and looked over to smile at Delilah

"Stop worrying about money!" he said softly with a little giggle, "you don't need to, you really don't!"

He pulled up to the parking lot outside QC and listened to her comment about Desjardin

"That'll be how he knows all about us," Gavin sighed, "I bet it's front page news tomorrow that you're pregnant!"

As he spoke about the news he gestured his hand towards a newspaper and stopped in amazement, his jaw falling open. On the nearest newspaper rack there were several newspapers which huge pictures of him in his boxers on the rooftop: clearly taken the previous day. Gavin ran over to the rack and snatched up a paper

Delilah peered at the newspaper. "Greaaaaat," she groaned. "And he did say his wife has been following our story... and that she's a reporter." She sighed. "Gavin, we're boned, aren't we? Like life isn't already crappy."

She lowered her head to Gavin's shoulder. "I wish they'd just leave us the hell alone. I didn't go into this job, thinking I'd be the focus of media attention. Hell, if it was in the job description, I'd have said, 'Forget that, baby. I'd rather flip burgers.'"

Life is getting more and more insane by the day. Maybe I'm paying for something I did in a past life. But damn, what did I do that was that bad? I mean, really?! she thought. I try to be a good person and all, but... man, oh man... the media's just trying to leech me of my youth and happiness.

She wrapped her arms around Gavin. "Well, things could be worse, right?" she said. "I mean, Cecilia could be here right now. She'd probably try to push me down the stairs or something, if she found out. Something like that. But she's not. So I guess the only way I'll fall down the stairs is if I trip, or if you decide to turn evil on me."

She eyed Gavin. "That won't happen... right?" she asked.

No... he wouldn't do that, Delilah thought, smiling.

Gavin smiled and leant his chin on Delilah's shoulder, hugging her close to him

"Right answer!" he teased

Gavin chuckled and glared at Delilah playfully and mischieviously, and then quickly picked her up over his shoulder

"Damn you caught me!" he joked, whirling her around on his shoulder, "I was planning on pushing you out of the window tomorrow morning! You're just another notch on my belt!"

He laughed again and set Delilah down on the ground, messing up her hair

"It's about time you told me you love me!" Gavin side with a smirk, "it must have been almost two days since you last said it!"

Cecilia walked around her room. What had she done? She was practically ruining her life.
She sat by the window and looked over the city.
"The best place to be single" she said. "They wish."
She took her phone to see if Gavin had messaged her already.
"Hmmm...." she said when she didn't see anything. He was proably busy with Delilah. She sighed and looked around. How pathetic, she was actually sitting in the best appartment in the whole city, and she wasn't even happy.

"Oh fine," Delilah responded, pretending that it was a terrible chore. Then, she smiled and hugged Gavin tightly. "I love you, sweetie." Then, with a sinister grin, she added, "Even if you maybe knocked me up."

She laughed a little. "Just teasing," she said. "But now, we need to focus on the company again. What are we going to do to get publicity back to the company? We need something really good. But, obviously, it can't cost us a fortune, because... well... that would suck. I just hope it's not too late for the company. I mean, lately, things have been going downhill."

She added, in a dramatic voice, "This company is doomed. DOOMED!"

It was from Cecilia: as usual. He titled the screen so Delilah could see it and he sighed heavily, beginning to type a reply

Gavin put his hand in Delilah's, walking into the QC and into the elevator

"Love you too," he said as the doors closed and he pulled her into an embrace, "even if you are knocked up!"

He paused and a worried look came across his face,

"Am I definately the father?" he asked, "could there be a chance you're carrying someone elses?"

Delilah eyed Gavin. "No, I've been going out and hooking up with every man I see. Seriously, honey, there is no doubt about who the father would be. You're the only person I've done anything with for the past... let's see... however long I was at the company, plus, I didn't do anything for about four months before I started at the company, so, yeah. It would definitely be you, unless I somehow knocked myself up."

She snickered. "You know, there are some lizards that can do that, impregnate themselves. So, I guess they give birth to clones of themselves. Kinda creepy. But back on subject-- if I'm pregnant, you're definitely the dad. Poor you. And no, I'm not like that alien dude from Futurama-- I can't get pregnant by having people touch my skin, so no using that excuse."

Gavin laughed and messed up Delilah's hair

"You are so crazy!" he chuckled

He smiled down at Delilah and stroked her cheek

"I'm pleased I'm the father if you're pregnant, I'd die if I you were carrying someone elses child, if your first child wasn't mine!"

Gavin let out a little sigh and smiled at her, resting his head on top of hers

"We're going to be a proper family one day!" he said softly, cupping his hands gently on Delilah's stomach, as if cradelling a baby, "if it's not meant to be right now: one day we'll start a family."

Delilah smiled and leaned against Gavin.

This is nice... she thought. Just then, her cell phone began ringing.

"Hello?" she said, answering it. "Mom, what's up?" She glanced at Gavin. "What? On the news now? Seriously?! Right now?!"

She pulled the phone away from her ear and said to Gavin, "Those bloody reporters work fast!"

She put the phone back to her ear. "Mom, it was just a routine doctor's visit. If it turns out I am, then I'll let you know. ...What? Mom, do you think I sleep around? Yes, I know what you did when you were younger, but... yeah. Yeah. Really? How did they say they got the information? Wait, from where?! Wait, really? Former worker? Wait, what did you say about drinking and pictures? Oh... crap..."

She pulled the phone away from her ear again. "Apparently, there is someone working for Elemental who used to work for QC. They did a lot of research, trying to find amateur models, and kept a lot of files of potentials. The dude got fired from QC for drinking on the job, but Elemental hired him. And apparently, he left all his stuff at QC. Well, it turns out that the dude was in the waiting room and recognized me from the pictures and informed whoever about spotting the stars of the moment-- us-- at the doctor's office, looking worried. Apparently, he tried to bribe the doctor for details, but the doctor's not revealing anything. And..."

She put the phone back to her ear. "And what else, Mom? Oh yeah..." She turned back to Gavin. "Mom says that you better knock me up, or she'll come over here and beat you up. Lovely woman, eh?"

She shut the phone and tucked it away. "So... those pictures and that alcohol must have belonged to the former worker. Argh."

She eyed Gavin. "We need to come up with something for our company, and fast. The media's eating us alive."

Gavin looked at the floor, struggling to take it what Delilah was telling him. An ex worker for QC, spilling for Elemental, the two of them on the news, her preganacy revealed already

"What do you suggest we do?" he asked anxiously, "whatever we do it'll just look like we're trying to get media attention!"

He left the elevator and walked into his office, booting up his computer where he scheduled a mass photoshoot for the company. He then typed out an email

Amber had checked her email as soon as she got into work that morning, she decided to go upstairs and talk to him to see what was going on. She grabbed her travel mug of tea and took off out the door, locking it behind her.

She stepped out of the elevator and walked over to his office, knocking on the door. "Gavin, you in there?" she asked, laughing slightly "I'd ask if Delilah was too but if you're there she probably is".

Delilah sighed and sat in a chair nearby, lost in her own thoughts.

Why won't the media leave us alone? Why? We just want to live nice quiet lives, but nooooo, that's not good enough for them is it?

She sighed to herself. Gavin will come up with something. He'll know what to do to solve all this... this insanity.

She lowered her head. If I am pregnant, then I pity the child who will have to witness his or her parents dealing with this crap. I really do. Maybe it would be better if it turns out that all my symptoms are stress-related, right?

"Right," she muttered to herself.

She heard Amber and raised her head. "Come in," she called.

Hannah entered the building that morning in a hppy mood. She just had to finish a few details and she would then go present her idea to Gavin or Cecilia. She had been looking at the profit margins when she recieved an email from Gavin

Oh and it really isn't QC that is getting the bad media. It's you, Delilah and Cecilia. QC has now managed to regain it's status in the fashion community

Gavin looked up as Amber knocked on his door, and Delilah called for her to come in. He sighed heavily and smiled at his fiance, letting out a little happy grunt

"Very funny Amb!" he laughed, "yea you can come in. I guess you've seen my email?"

He stood up and walked over to where Delilah was sitting, pulling her up and sat underneath her so she was on his lap. He then clasped his arms around her waist, gently so as not to crush her, but tightly enough to hold her close and safe. He needed her: like he needed oxygen: to survive

Delilah eased out of Gavin's grip when she heard his computer announce that he had e-mail. She slid into his seat and clicked the e-mail icon.

"You have an e-mail from Hannah," she announced. She read the e-mail aloud, and then looked over at Gavin. "What say you, Mr. Ruppetts?" she asked. "Need me to take dictation, or do you wish to write this yourself?"

She smiled wryly in Amber's direction. It never ends, her expression seemed to say. She wondered if Amber had heard the news yet.

I hope not... hell, I hope no one here heard that! she thought.

She walked over to Gavin and gave him a hug. "Maybe Hannah has a better idea. I mean, she has had more experience with this kind of thing than you have, sweetie. Maybe you should ask her what she thinks you should do instead. Just a thought."

Gavin waved his hand at Delilah and let out a loud groan

"Sorry Dee, could you deal with it? Ask the b*tch what she wants to do, this isn't my job. I'm over it and I've had enough. Nothing I do is right!"

He sighed and walked over to Delilah and gave her a long and passionate kiss

"Love you," he whispered.

He turned around at looked at Amber, waving his fingers at her kindly

"Bye guys, maybe I'll be back tomorrow."

Gavin left the office and walked into the parking lot, getting in his car and drove home

"It sounds like Miss Hannah hasn't had her coffee yet this morning said Amber, watching as Gavin left "Last time I checked he was the boss not her. He did what he thought was best, I say ignore her".

She stopped and sipped on her tea, walking over and sitting down in a chair. "So" she said, pausing to consider her words "I saw the paper this morning. What's the real deal, because you know how they blow things out of proportion"

She began to type out an e-mail:

I feel that since you've been in this sort of business long enough to have good insights as to what to do in these kinds of situations, you'd be well-suited to lend your assistance.

She proofread it and then sent it. She sat back and looked at Amber. "The real deal is, we weren't fooling around on the roof. Well, we were, but not like they think. We were joking around and stealing each other's clothes, and we got up to the roof, and I decided to be funny and pull his pants down so I could run away."

She made a face. "So that's what really happened on the roof."

"Delilah. If Gavin had been here working instead of frolicking on rooftops, I would of come and told him about my fashion show idea. I think a fashion show would be a great oppertunity to re-invent the company. We would be able to show off our latest designs and show the world even thought there have been troubles at the company we are still a fashion designer and we will do, what we do best! But about the photoshoot, I don't know. It would look like something is wrong if we pull out. But for it to work, we need Cecilia there. She is the public image of the company and if she is not there people will ask questions. Someone needs to go persuade her to do the photo

Delilah frowned and read the e-mail. "Persuade Cecilia?"

She sighed and typed out a response,

Hannah,
I don't even know where Cecilia is, at this point in time. Gavin is probably the only one who does. Earlier, we found out, via text message, that she is pregnant and isn't even sure of who the father is. I don't know if she's in any condition to come and represent the company. A fashion show would be nice, but the problems would be:
1) Getting Cecilia to come back.
1A) Getting her to come back and not try to get into Gavin's pants again.
2) Getting her to actually act like the head of a company (actually, that goes along with 1A, to some extent)
3) Getting Gavin to listen to you-- he's rather hard-headed, although I could probably persuade him.
The rest is up to chance.

She sent the email and then sat back, sighing.

She sighed. Telling him would forever change how she thought of herself and how he would think of her. But she decieded to tell him and send him a message.

I tried to be happy...
I think there were about... 7 or 8. Oh god, I don't know what I have gotten myself into. I... I just want someone who... who cares about me, and I think, you're the only one. I might be wrong about the fact that you care about me, but I trust you.

She sighed again and sat down, burying her head in her hands.

Gavin pulled up at his house and got out of the car slowly, walking into the house. He went into his bedroom and sat down on the bed, his head in his hands. He didn't know what to do: he was so torn. So confused, unhappy and worried. He shouted out loudly and then collapsed backwards on the bed so he was lying flat. After a moment his cell phone beeped, from Cecilia

I tried to be happy...

He sighed heavily. 7 or 8! In the space of a week. She was going over the edge: she'd cracked. Gavin groaned again and replied to her, remembering what Hannah had said

Gavin groaned again and lay back in the bed again, sighing heavily. He wondered how Delilah was coping, and felt guilty for leaving her

"I knew they were blowing it out of proportion" said Amber, peering over Delilah's shoulder as she typed the e-mail "What hasn't pantsed someone at one point in their lives".

"1A sure seems like the most problem" she said, sitting down next to Delilah "Honestly, it's ridiculous. No matter how many times Gavin tells her NO she just won't leave him alone. The woman needs to wake up and realize he doesn't and won't ever love her. He happens to be very much in love and engaged with a good friend of mine after all. She better not screw around with that because if she does..well it won't be pretty".

She sighed.
I'm scared of what I will face when I get back. People hating me more than ever...
But... I will come back, as soon as I can, I just need to get a ticket, and I'll be on my flight back. New York isn't the place for someone like me.
She messaged him as she walked over to her laptop. She wanted to go back, but what if she was there and really wanted to leave again?
She got on the website of a traveling agency and bought a ticket home.

In a few hours, she would be on her flight back to QC, her home.

Delilah eyed Amber. "You haven't heard the worst part, though, have you?" she said. "If Cecilia comes back, she'll push me down the stairs or something when she finds out about this."

She glanced around, making sure it was just the two of them in the room, and whispered, "I went to the doctor today, and there's a chance I might be pregnant. I won't know for a few days, but... if it turns out I am, and Cecilia comes back, God only knows what crazy stuff she might try to do to me if she found out."

She bit her lip. "I mean, yeah, I know how it is... Gavin is a good-looking guy, no reason not to like him, but still... he's taken. I can only feel sorry for her for so long before it just becomes annoying. But still, the situation she's in... I do feel bad for her, the poor woman... as an individual, she's vile and hateful, but as a human, I feel for her."

Hannah checked her email's again and read Delilah's email

"Hmmm. Yeah I see the problem. We don't really need Cecilia for the fashion show but for the photo it is a problem. But if Cecilia is in New York, then they can't really blame us for that can they? If anyone ask's we will just say 'Cecilia isn't there due to conflicting work schedules!' and everyone else could do the shoot, couldn't they?

She typed out a response:

She grinned at Amber. "Problem solved," she said.

She reached over to Gavin's office phone and picked up the phone. She dialed his cell phone number.

"Hey, honey," she said. "Good news. Hannah has come up with a solution. For the photoshoot, we can just say that Cecilia was unable to attend, due to conflicting work schedules. Isn't that great news? We can do it after all, and she also thinks we should do a fashion show!"

"Wow" said Amber, as she sat there looking shocked as Delilah typed and called Gavin"Well congratulations in advance! And I promise to dropkick her or something if she so much as tries anything on you. I think Xander took Karate or something when he was little, I'll call him".

She took another sip of tea, trying to help her think. "I suppose you're right. Wanting something you can't ever have has to hurt. But it's just something she needs to accept".

Gavin wiped the tears from his cheeks and picked up his cell phone as it was ringing. He smiled a little when he heard Delilah's voice

"Hey, honey," she said. "Good news. Hannah has come up with a solution. For the photoshoot, we can just say that Cecilia was unable to attend, due to conflicting work schedules. Isn't that great news? We can do it after all, and she also thinks we should do a fashion show!"

Gavin nodded as she was speaking, wiping his damp cheeks again

"Oh, well I thought I had good news too," he began solemly, "I convinced Cecilia to come back. I'm not sure for how long, but yea, she's coming back. Fingers crossed she's a changed woman."

Delilah stared at Amber in shock, when she heard what Gavin said. "What?! Cecilia's coming back?"

She instinctively wrapped one of her arms around her stomach, protectively, as if to shield the life-- if there was any life within-- from harm.

"She's coming back?" she repeated. "...Crap. Get your butt back over to this office now. Love you."

She put the receiver back on the hook and looked over at Amber. "Now what?" she asked. "I don't want to recreate that scene from The Omen!"

She called up Hannah. "Hannah, big news. Gavin told me that Cecilia is coming back."

She spoke for a few minutes more. "I just hope nothing bad happens to anyone," she finally said.

Cecilia's heels were clicking on the stones as she walked upon QC. She took a deep breath and walked further, she opened the doors, walked in and saw there was no one except the receptionist.
She waved at her, since she didn't know anything about what had happened. She then walked over to the elevator and got in. She pressed the button to her own floor and got out again.
She walked over to her office, put her keys in the door and opened it. Breathing in the air of what she had missed, she walked in and sat down.
"Home" she whispered to herself.

Gavin opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, attempting to adjust himself to the bright lights: why hadn't he turned the lights out before he went to sleep? Oh yea, it wasn't night, and he'd just fallen asleep. Fully dressed. He leapt up, realising his clothes were crinkled and he sighed, checking his watch on his wrist. It was 6 hours since he'd left QC: left Delilah.

"Sh*t!" he mumbled to himself

Gavin ran down the stairs and drove himself to Queens Clothes, walking in with heavy eyes and a heavy heart, taking the elevator to his office and collapsed in his chair

Delilah was asleep in her own office, having dozed off after looking up the newest Elemental versus QC stats.

She jolted awake, as if there were an alarm clock that only she could hear. She stretched in her seat. "Uh... fell asleep," she mumbled.

She walked out of her office and walked over to Gavin's office. There he was, sitting in his chair. "Hey, sweetie," she greeted him. "I kind of fell asleep on the job. Sorry."

She smiled guiltily and sat on his lap. "Missed you."

She laughed a little. "I had to act in your place while you were out. And since I had to be you, Amber had to be me, and... well, let's just say that as cool as she is, I think I prefer your entertainment."

She stroked his hair. "What took so long? And why did you run off?"

Cecilia heard people from Gavin's office and she stood up.
She walked out of the room to his office.
She looked in and smiled a little, decieding to just stand there untill she would be noticed.
Wow... I still can't believe it.
She looked at Delilah, and then looked at Gavin. She then looked at the floor, her heart was beating fast and she was afraid that one of them would grab a gun and shoot her. Maybe that was the best though.
She walked further in and closed the door behind her.

Gavin smiled as Delilah walked into his office and he put his arms around her

"I fell asleep!" he laughed gently, checking there were no longer any tears on his cheeks and he gave her a small smile

He looked around the office nervously, as if unsure what to do.

"Is C back yet?" Gavin as uncomfortabley

He stopped when she asked him why he'd run off and looked at the ground, "erm, I just did. I'd rather not talk about it right now. I'm sorry I left you."

He looked up as the door closed and saw Cecilia and he ran over and gave her a hug

"Are you okay?" he asked, looking at her stomach

Delilah watched Cecilia and Gavin. She wrapped her arms protectively around her stomach, biting her lip.

She's back... oh God, she's back, and she's going to hurt me and my baby. If there is one, she thought, automatically correcting herself. A small shudder of fear rushed through her. She better not even think about it. Gavin is mine. MINE. And she better not think about hurting me either.

She finally rose. "Cecilia, you're back," she said. "How have you been? Things have been nuts over here."

She kept her arms in place over her stomach, not budging them an inch.

If there's something in there, it's not getting hurt. Even if the only thing in there is my breakfast! she thought.

She was happy that he hugged her, but it didn't feel right at this time, she felt so cheap and pathetic.
"Maybe you shouldn't... I mean... I feel... cheap and dirty now." she whispered and then continued "I'm... ok I guess."
She let a tear fall down her cheek and then stopped hugging him.
"I'm glad to be back." she opened her bag and took something out of it. It was a little figure of the skyline of New York.
"Souvenirs I guess." she gave a little smile. "I need to deciede what to do, and it isn't going to be easy." she said, mentioning her baby. "I also need to tell the media something about my baby, since they really will notice it." she said sadly.

Gavin took a step away from Cecilia and put one arm around Delilah, the other on her stomach, protecting the child she may be carrying

"You don't have to feel cheap," he said, addressing Cecilia with a quirked brow, "what are you going to do about your baby then?"

He squeezed Delilah gently, so she'd know he was there for her. If Cecilia took one step towards his fiance or his child, if she so much as laid a finger on either of them --god help her. Gavin wouldn't let it happen

Delilah sighed and bit her lip. I need to be kind. She's going through a tougher time than I am.

She leaned over and gave Cecilia a hug. "Here, sit down," she said, pulling a chair over for Cecilia. "That flight must have been hell."

She reached over and picked up the box of chocolate from Gavin's desk and held it out to her. "It's the good kind. They make me feel better, at least," she said, trying her best to be kind and friendly.

Delilah picked up a tissue and dabbed at Cecilia's cheek. "You're getting all emotional," she said awkwardly.

She rested her head on Gavin's shoulder, her arm around his waist.

Poor woman, she thought sympathetically. I want to help her, but she probably still thinks I'm scum...

"I don't know" she said and then saw how the two were acting.

"You really think I'm going to do something don't you? Well, thanks for trusting me." she watched them protecting the stomach.
"So now i'm a criminal? Who will kill someone else's baby's and stuff. Seriously, I thought you knew better." she said as tears were stinging in her eyes.
"You want me to come back, but in the same time you act like you don't. Do you really think it will make me stay if you act like this?" she placed the souvenir on the desk.

She leaned over and gave Cecilia a hug. "Here, sit down," she said, pulling a chair over for Cecilia. "That flight must have been hell."

Gavin sighed and watched Delilah help Cecilia, letting her sit down and handed her a few chocolates

"I thought you said I was the only one who you were going to share those with?" he teased.

He kissed her neck gently and then walked over to Cecilia, crouching down in front of her

"How do you...how do you know about our baby?" he asked worriedly, "she may not even be pregnant, and we don't think you're a murderer C, we're just worried about our baby. If there is one."

Gavin stood up again and walked over to Delilah, cupping his hands on her stomach

"We're just concerned for the safety of our child. Especially Delilah," he added. He turned around and looked at Cecilia, "and seeing as you're pregnant too, you shouldn't try to make me kiss you. I know this is a bad time and everything, but I'd appreciate it if that would stop."

Delilah smiled weakly. "We need to stop fighting. It's bad for us and everyone else, including the unborn," she said. "Besides, I think you've been through enough crap lately. I don't think you need anymore from me."

She fiddled with the souvenir. "I want to help you, Cecilia, even though you would probably like nothing better than for me to vanish into thin air. We can save the arguing and pettiness for when we're in better conditions to do so. Right now, however, what matters is making sure that we-- you and I-- stay alive and in good condition. I'm going to be as direct as possible. Whatever you choose to do, with regards to your pregnancy, I'm willing to support you in your decision. And if it turns out that I'm pregnant, I expect you to, at the very least, show me the same courtesies."

She smiled a little. "It might not be friendship, exactly, but at the very least, it's a temporary truce, right?"

"And why are you worried when you don't think i'm a killer?" she asked, the tears still stinging in her eyes.
"I've changed, Gavin. In New York I even changed so much that I'm now pregnant of I-don't-know-who. I was afraid of this and now, it's happening. Even if I trust you, even if I've changed. When I'm around people are afraid that I will do something what I would never do." she sighed again.

"How do you...how do you know about our baby?" he asked worriedly, "she may not even be pregnant, and we don't think you're a murderer C, we're just worried about our baby. If there is one."

Gavin stood up again and walked over to Delilah, cupping his hands on her stomach

"We're just concerned for the safety of our child. Especially Delilah," he added. He turned around and looked at Cecilia, "and seeing as you're pregnant too, you shouldn't try to make me kiss you. I know this is a bad time and everything, but I'd appreciate it if that would stop."

"Yes, it is the wrong time. I know I have to stop doing that, and you know what? I've had enough for the next couple of weeks. I'm not ok at all right now. And I just realize you always tell me things I already know and which hurt me when I'm already sad about something. You only make it worse."

Gavin felt like shouting out again: that or going and running under a bus. He looked from Delilah to Cecilia and pulled at his hair. Once pregnant woman at a time please!

"Cecilia I honestly have no idea what you want me to say. I wish you all the best in life, and would like to help if you need anything. I'd even offer to be a semi-father figure to your baby, unless Delilah really is pregnant."

He paused and put his arms around Delilah from behind, resting his head on her shoulder as he looked at Cecilia

"I'd majorly appreciate it if you could both get out of each other's faces. Like Delilah said, a temporary truce: at least for my sake! You both say you love me, well then please do this, for me!"

Delilah leaned back against Gavin, gently squeezing his hands. She hoped that Cecilia would not start bickering more. That kind of thing was bad for your health, moreso if you were pregnant. She knew that much, at least.

"Please, Cecilia. Calm down, if not for yourself, then your baby," she said softly. "It's not good to get so worked up."

Poor woman... she's really had a tough time of it, hasn't she? Delilah thought sympathetically. It's kind of hard for me to feel resentful at a time like this.

She sighed. Life makes us all insane, she thought.

"Please. Calm down," she repeated.

She looked at him. "I'm not fighting with her, I appreciate what's she's doing now. I'm just telling you how I feel when you do that. And now I said it. I also appreciate it that you are willing to help me with my baby, thanks." she said as she stood up and hugged him shortly.
"I'm serious, thank you." she then hugged Delilah shortly.
"Don't think about me that way." she said softly.
"It wont do us both any good." she then sat down again and sighed.
"Life sucks. I wish I could change it."

Gavin nodded and held Delilah close to him, still closing his hands protectively around her stomach. If Cecilia wanted to get to her: in any way, she'd have to go through him

"Well..." he started, sighing heavily, "what do we do now?"

He kissed Delilah's neck absent mindedly, rubbing his cheek against hers

"Life sucks. I wish I could change it." Cecilia said

Gavin looked up and shook his head,

"You don't want to change your life. I told you, you'll grow up and meet the guy of your dreams, get married have lots of kids and have an amazing life. It'll happen for you, like it's happened for me and Delilah."

Delilah sighed. "So, now the question remains, Cecilia," she said. "What will you do about the baby? Will you keep him or her? Or adoption? Or whatever?"

She perched on the edge of the desk. "What do you feel is the best choice for you?"

She squeezed Gavin's hands tightly, watching Cecilia. Right now, she needs friends and supporters more than ever. I might not be her first choice of either, but the least I can do is be there for her, if she needs anything, she thought.

She sighed a little. Who'd have ever imagined the day would come where I would not only be nice to Cecilia, but also support her? I can barely believe it myself!

She looked at Gavin. "Please, I beg you, stop telling me that, I know lots of people who are dying and still single. There are lots of people who just aren't happy and who will never be happy, life won't always end up good. So please, stop saying it." she begged.

She sighed. "I don't know what to do with the baby." she said.
"I will wait and think what'll be best for it. I really don't know right now." she coughed and buried her head in her hands. "Oh god..."

Delilah hurried over, box of tissues in hand, and knelt by Cecilia. She gently rubbed the woman's back. "It's okay, Cecilia," she said softly. "We're here for you."

She looked over at Gavin, worried. She's really had a tough time, her expression said. Isn't there more that we could do for her?

She gently hugged Cecilia. "Shh, calm down. If you want, Gavin can run and get you some coffee or tea or something. Would you like that?" she said, trying to be helpful.

It's not much, she thought, but at least I'm trying. I don't like to see anyone upset, even if it's someone I'm not particularly fond of.

She sighed and passed Cecilia the tissue box.

It's the least I can do, she thought.

Gavin sighed and nodded, rubbing his nose into Delilah hair as he hugged her

"I'm sorry. I thought maybe it would cheer you up --the knowelege of a bright future!" he replied sadly

He kissed Delilah gently and then moved away, debating whether to go home again or not. He really wanted to, but he knew he couldn't leave Delilah or Cecilia here like this. They'd be at each others throats within minutes

"Perhaps you should go home for a lie down!" Gavin suggested to Cecilia, walking out of the room to get some coffee for the three of them

He walked back in a few minutes later with three steaming mugs and handed them around, walking back over to his fiance with a small smile

He put his arms around Delilah again and held her tightly, for fear that if he let go, she'd disappear: like everything else around him

She looked at Delilah. She's really trying. she thought. I'm glad someone is trying to cheer me up.
"Thank you" she said to her. "I'm sorry" she continued, mentioning everything that had happened.

"It's ok." she said to him. "You couldn't have known." she rubbed her stomach. Where now was a little boy or girl.
"If I would lie down I would think too much, so that wouldn't be so good" she laughed a little. "It really wouldn't be good." it was then silent for a moment.
"Noah or Lily" she whispered. "Yes... Noah or Lily"

Delilah leaned against Gavin, letting him hold her. She sipped at her coffee, not really paying any attention to it. She watched Cecilia, concerned.

Poor woman, she thought. I really wish there was something I could do, but... well... what can I do?

She sighed and bowed her head for a moment. I wish I knew what to do. Situations like this, I'm no good in. I just try to smile sympathetically and hand over the tissues and try not to step on anyone's feet. I'd make a lousy doctor.

She sipped her coffee some more, trying to think of a solution, something to help, but nothing came. She glanced over at Gavin.

I'm lucky to have Gavin. He'll take care of me and protect me. But Cecilia doesn't have anyone like that, she thought.

She smiled softly, watching Cecilia.

Gavin sighed and watched Cecilia, feeling comforted by the weight of Delilah leaning against him: it made him feel like he was home.

"I want to cheer you up C, I don't like seeing people I care about upset," he said softly

He emphasised the 'care about' and then gave Delilah a brief but gentle kiss on the lips, then walked over to stand behind Cecilia

"Here" he whispered

He pulled Cecilia to her feet and starting giving her a back massage, gently pressing her with his fingers, smiling over at Delilah at the same time

She closed her eyes and smiled, things were getting crazy in a slow way.
No one was fighting, or panicing it was just sad.
Like a funeral, people are sad and comfort eachother, even if they hate eachother.
"What do you think?" she asked. "Noah and Lily?" she smiled.
"Wait... what if it is twins? Hmm, better not think about it huh?" she laughed a little and took a sip of her coffee.
Comfort... no awkardness just comfort.

Jayden stepped out of his car and took a deep breath. He wasn't at work for some time cause he was really sick, so this was a kind of big step for him.

He walked into the building, stepped into the elevator and walked along the long hallway, hoping someone might would come and tell him everything he might had missed in the time being away.

Gavin continued to massage Cecilia's shoulder, back and lower back, gently rubbing around her waist and the worked his way back to her shoulder blades. It seemed to be working, she didnt' seem nearly as stressed and anxious as before, and neither she nor Delilah were yelling at each other

"Lily is a gorgeous name!" Gavin replied eventually, "but are you really going to keep it?"

He massaged her back gently a couple more times and then softly blew behind her ear, knowing it made most people tingle and relax

Delilah smiled. "Those are nice names," she said. "I like them too."

She smiled over at Gavin. "Nah, better not think about whether or not you have twins. If you think on it too much, it'll happen."

She laughed a little. "Hey, Gav, start thinking about it raining money. It'll make a lot of people happy," she joked, trying to lighten the mood a little.

"If I do turn out to be pregnant," she said, "I think maybe... Amanda or Michael. Nice names, nothing too unusual, and easy to pronounce."

She grinned evilly. "Of course, Gavin might decide to call them Beelzebub or Lucifer," she joked. "Or he might save those names for the toilet training stage."

She laughed.

She slowly breathed in and out. When he blew behind her ear, goosebumps appeared on her skin.
She smiled softly.
"Beelzebub would be awesome" she joked.
"Amanda is cute. I like Lily beacuase it simply means "lily" from the name of the flower, and it's a symbol of purity." she smiled again and enjoyed the back massage.

Gavin smiled and released Cecilia's hair from the band, letting it hang loosely

"You'll feel better now that's out!" he said with a grin

He ran his hands through her hair gently, untangling it softly and smoothly, hoping it was relaxing her. After a few minutes he stood up and walked over to Delilah

"What's wrong with Lucifer!" he laughed, putting his arms around his beautiful fiance, "and no way am I doing toilet training! That's the mums job!" he teased

Gavin laughed gently and kissed Delilah's nose

Delilah grinned and snuggled up to Gavin. "Nothing wrong with the name at all, except for the fact that people associate it with the devil. It would be like naming the kid Damien or something!"

She laughed and wrapped her arms around him. "And you have to do your share of the work, or the kids get taught to crap on your clothes while you're out. And you know I'll do it too, so don't try me!"

Delilah reached up and messed up Gavin's hair. "You goof," she teased. "You would name the kids evil and weird stuff, just because you'd find it funny. Stuff like Ivanna Tinkle and Jacques Strap. Actually, that is really funny, but you get what I'm saying, right?"

Cecilia closed her eyes and leaned back.
"I think, I'm over-relaxed now" she joked.
"I wonder how the kid will be when it's out. Maybe it would be like a lazy kid. Hehe. Or maybe a fashion kid*. I wouldn't want that though." she laughed.
Hmmm... life seems perfect now, still it isn't, being over-relaxed is awesome.

"Okay okay, I'll teach the kid how to play football!" he laughed, "you can do the disciplining!"

He rubbed noses with her with a smile and then looked back at Cecilia, smiling at her

"You need Amanda Hugandkiss!" he teased, bursting out laughing at his own joke.

Gavin smiled and walked over to Cecilia, gently playing with her hair and then cupped a hand on her stomach, stroking the place where her baby was growing

"You'll be fine!" he said seriously, looking up to meet her eyes

She looked into his eyes and smiled.
"We'll see" she said.
"A kid would give me something to do." she laughed a little.
Lily and Noah... or both. Oooh, both would be sooo weird. I'm just over the idea of one kid, what if I get two!?
"I wonder what the gender will be." she said. "I don't really care what gender it would be though. Maybe I should let them surprise me."
She took another sip of her coffee.

Delilah watched Gavin and Cecilia. She couldn't help but feel a small twinge of jealousy, even though she knew Gavin loved her, and not Cecilia.

Whatever. But he slips up and his butt is out the door, she thought, smirking a little.

She sighed and stood. "I'm going to go get a soda from the vending machine. Anyone else want one?"

She walked out of the office and went to the floor where the vending machines were at. She looked over the options. "Which of these won't taste like crap?" she muttered. "Consider my vile mood at the moment, perhaps something loaded with caffeine and everything else that's bad for you."

She made her selection and popped the can open and took a long sip. "Much better," she muttered.

Gavin smiled up at Cecilia, stroking her stomach again gently

"Want me to come with you to any scans or anything?" he asked, hoping he could help her, "and I'm great at holding back hair when you puke. Although, I may have to be doing that for that one a lot more than I want!" he teased, cocking his head back at Delilah

He looked back at Cecilia and stroked her cheek

"Go home. Go home, have a long sleep and then come back when you feel better!" he said softly.

He walked over to Delilah and pulled her away from Cecilia's sight, giving her a long and passionate kiss. Gavin pulled back slowly and smiled at his fiance, squeezing her hands

"Love you," he whispered

He studied her face, seeing her grin

"I'm not going to cheat on you with Cecilia" he said softly. He paused and frowned a little, "but would you even be sad if I did? You seem like you'd just relish in making me pay, not caring if you never saw me again!"

Gavin looked at the floor sadly and then back at Delilah

"I'll never ever do anything to hurt you. I promise."

"I'm not going to cheat on you with Cecilia," Gavin said softly. He paused and frowned a little, "but would you even be sad if I did? You seem like you'd just relish in making me pay, not caring if you never saw me again!"

"If you cheated on me, you'd be dead to me, and I would want absolutely nothing to do with you. I have no room in my life for cheaters," Delilah deadpanned, turning away. "There's a fine line between being comforting and flirting. Don't push it. Just because we aren't married yet doesn't mean you're a swinging bachelor anymore."

You are mine, Gavin, she thought. You wouldn't particularly relish the thought of me being all touchy-feely with another man, now would you? So why should I react any differently with regards to you and any other woman?

She sipped her drink and leaned against the wall. Hey, kid, if you are in there, sorry for being so bitter. Your mom has some major vices still, even though she's gotten rid of the worst ones, and one of the remaining ones is anger. I hope you don't inherit that from me. But really... what else am I to do?

She lightly pressed a hand against her stomach. If anything's in there. For all I know, nothing's in there except the food I ate, and my period's going to come back tomorrow, in all its vile red glory, she thought bitterly.

Aaron spent the last couple nights in a pub, in the filthy side of town. Staying there, in the smoke stained air and the smell of alochol, sweat and vomit probably didn't do him any good but he couldn't think of anywhere eles to go. He sprayed his face with water from the cold, musty tap in the pub's only bathroom. Aaron breathed out slowly and advanced to the street where he turned left and headed for the office again.

Out on the street, in the scum of town, he recognised a couple of familiar faces.. although he didn't want to be reminded of them. After catching the subway, and walking another 20 to 25 minutes, Aaron came across the building. Inside the air felt fresh and clean. He proceeded to the lift and walked out at his level. Some distance away, he eyed Delilah by a vending machine. He became suddenly hungry, probably more hungry for a chat rather than for food. He walked over to her and gave her a weak smile, not using much effort. "Sorry about paasing out in your office the other day.." He stared down at the floor. "So.. am I inivted to the wedding?" He quickly changed the subject. His head lifted up, and his lips stretched into a smug grin.

Delilah smiled weakly. "It's okay," she lied. "I didn't mind you passing out in there. And as for the wedding, we're keeping it small and personal. Only a tiny number of people. Sorry."

She did her best to hide the angry tears in her eyes. "You caught me at a bad moment," she said, trying to fake a laugh. "I've just been really stressed out... with the wedding and all... and Cecilia's back now... and on top of everything, I might be pregnant."

Why am I bothering to try and pretend? Aaron knows what I'm really like. He can see through me like a pane of glass. He knew me back when I was a stupid little druggie trying to rebel against her parents.

"I'm ticked off, as well," she said softly, no longer feigning cheerfulness. "I'm just being stupid and jealous, but still..."

She sighed. "I'm boring you to tears, huh?" she asked.

Aaron remained attentive as she spilled her guts out although, he faced the vending machine and fiddled around with the coin return button. Her tone of voice was worn out and faint. She sighed. "I'm boring you to tears, huh?" she asked.

He turned his head and flicked some hair out of his face. "I'm not necessarily interested in the words the fall out of your mouth, I'm more intrested in the person speaking them.. so I can put up with the chatter" he joked, leaning closer as if to flirt with her. "You said you might be pregnant? Someone's been a bit of a naughty girl" he said in a mocking tone.

Aaron turned away from the vending machine and leaned his back against it. "Why don't you try and run away with me again? Like sh*t old times.. I'm planning to visit New York first, wanna join me?" he asked, sounding at bit more serious. He began to play with his hair, messing it up.

What to do? Delilah and I supported each other back then.. I should probably act more mature, maybe help her? But as if she wants my help anyway.. all she knows is that I still do drugs, and enjoy the wild side of life. If I hadn't f*cked up that intern test.. I wouldn't be here. Aaron sighed softly.

"So why stay here? Pack your bag, grab your soon-to-be-husband and leave. I know running away sounds pathetic but.. you wouldn't have to deal with Cecilia and sh*t" his voice quivered. "Thats what I would do.."

Delilah considered the offer.

Yes, the impulsive side of her said, Run away with Aaron. You're not cut out for working at QC. That's why you're so unhappy here-- you're not made for this kind of work. Do like you did before-- hang out with Aaron, get drunk and stoned regularly, skip out on your responsibilities, rebel against everything your parents want you to be. You can bring Gavin along, and if he refuses to come, well, then, you've got Aaron to fall back on, right?

Delilah bit her lip. No, she told herself. I'm an adult now. I have to be responsible. After all, if I run off, it's not just my life that I'm affecting. I have to take care of myself. After all, I might be, y'know, a carrier of life, and all that junk. Besides, I don't want to think about having to leave Gavin behind, even if he has been rather cuddly with Cecilia.

She took a breath. "Aaron, as kind as your offer is, I'm afraid I'll have to pass. It's not just my own life I have to worry about now. I can't be running off, spending time with druggies, being a roadie for bands and all the other stuff I used to do. It's not good for my health. Plus, if I'm pregnant, it would be even worse for the baby. You understand... don't you?"

He shrugged. "Yea.. I'm not in your situation but I can sort of see it from your point of view" he said selflessly. "Besides.. if a gorgeous girl like you ran off with a bloke like me.. rumours would fly"

Aaron slid down onto the floor and started to bite his nails, if there was anything left to bite. "Wanna sit?" He looked up at Delilah and smiled sweetly. "Standing up might be bad for the baby" fake concern painted his face.

Please sit and chat.. I'm bored and lonely. I need someone to chat to, who might be just as screwed up as I am.

He patted the ground next to where he sat. "Come on.. you know you want to"

Delilah laughed and sat besides Aaron. "You just want me to sit by you," she teased. "You don't give a rat's a*s about the baby, and we both know it. I can see right through your lies."

She chuckled and took another sip of her drink. "And I ain't gorgeous," she said dryly. "If I was, I'd be a model now, and not a damn secretary. Besides, remember, I almost ran off with you once, when we were younger."

She smirked. "Those were different times, eh? But wow, look at us now. We're working for one of the best-known fashion companies in the business. We're totally miserable, but we're working for it."

Cilla spotted Delilah and... Aaron, the new guy.. secretary.. that was it! Yes, Aaron and Delilah in the hallway. She couldn't concentrate lately as all of the comotion in the building.. approx. six hours ago Cecilia had just returned.. and half an hour ago she had sixteen photoshoots to catch up to. Talk about relaxing.

"Delilah!" she smiled. "Hey! I've probably never said this yet, even though I'm late, but congratulations! About the marriage crap and all..." her voice trailed off slowly as she stood waiting for her friend's response.

"This is probably a bad timing, isn't it?" she asked. "sorry, but I haven't talked to you in ages. Most of the time you're with Gavin or then the other half of the time you're out of the building."

She threw Aaron a friendly smile and waved. "Er, I'm Cilla," she said awkwardly. "we haven't met yet, I don't think,"

Aaron frowned. "You wouldn't want to be a model. You would be paper thin, weigh 20 kilograms, probably still on drugs and more lonely and dismal than you are now.. If the option came up, in my advise, don't take it" he said in a low tone. "At least they pay us" He continued, trying to lighten up the subject.

He shifted his body to face Delilah more. "Why don't the two of us go out? Unless.. you think it would be a bit akward. But you know, you should probably get some fresh air," he couldn't help put say the line again. "It would be good for the baby.." Aaron gave her a nudge on the shoulder.

She sighed. "If you'll both excuse me..."

She walked away and went into the restroom. She chose the first empty stall and sat on the floor, her head on her knees. Alone at last, she finally allowed herself to cry, just as she had been wanting to for quite a while.

What is my life coming to? she thought, sobbing. My own fiance won't keep his hands off of other women, even when I'm around. I don't know how much more of this I can take before I just snap.

Gavin watched Delilah leave sadly, sitting down on his desk for a moment. How wrong she is: how wrong! I never want to do anything to hurt her, I'd never ever do anything with Cecilia, never. She means the world to me, and clearly she doesn't know how much I love her

He left his office and walked past Cilla and Aaron who were sitting on the floor

"Long time no see!" he said as he passed, smiling at them both.

He heard someone sniffing and sobbing from the women's restroom and he slowly pushed the door open, taking a few steps in

"Delilah?" he called out quietly, pushing a few cubicle doors, "are you in here sweetie?"

Delilah looked up when she heard Gavin's voice. Damn it, how does he always manage to figure out where I am? Big bloody building like this, and he figures out I'm in the bathroom. Does he have a tracking device on me or something? ESP? Whatever it is, he's scoring 100/100.

She edged away from the stall door-- well, as far away as she could. She was backed up against the toilet. What is it with us and restrooms lately? she thought wryly.

Delilah listened for the sound of Gavin's feet, hoping they wouldn't stop in front of her stall. I'm such a damn softy when it comes to him. No matter how freaking angry I am at him, when he looks at me in that really sad, pitiful way, like I just ripped his heart out of his chest...

She shook her head, trying to shake her thoughts away.

Gavin listened for a reply, a sob, anything that would tell him whether Delilah was in here. Instead he just heard some shuffling around and he slowly walked towards the only cubicle that was locked, sighing heavily. What could he do? If she didn't want to talk to him then that was it. If she hated him...

"Delilah please," he said softly, placing a hand on the door, "talk to me. Why don't you know that I'd never cheat on you, ever?!"

Gavin sighed and walked over to the sinks, running some water and splashed it on his face, letting out a heavy groan. He then turned and looked at the locked door

"What more do I have to do? Say no to her every advance? Wait, I've already done that..." he said sadly

He walked towards the exit of the bathroom and turned briefly

"I love you," he said softly

Gavin paused for a moment, hoping she'd talk to him, but realised it wasn't going to happen. She didn't want him. He left the bathroom and walked away

Delilah banged her head against the door. Damn it. Why do I always do this kind of crap to my relationships? she scolded herself. Now I have to try to clean up my mistakes.

She unlocked the door and hurried after Gavin, her shoes tapping softly on the tile floor. She wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, clinging tightly to him. "Gav..."

She bit her lip, trying to control herself. "Gav, I'm sorry. I'm just... okay, fine, I won't blame it on the mood swings or anything like that. I'm jealous, plain and simple, and when I saw you being all touchy-feely with Cecilia, I just... I... I got angry. And there it is, plain and simple, in all its horrid honesty."

She bowed her head. "I'm sorry."

Gavin heard the clacking of heels against the tile floor and he slowly turned around, just as he was bowled over by Delilah who wrapped her arms tightly around his waist. After a moment of hesitation and anger, he returned her hug, clinging to her tightly

"I don't know why you're jealous!" he said with a frustrated sigh, "everytime she's kissed me or suggested anything: I ran. I always said no, always. Even when she was practically begging me to kiss her, even when she was pleading with me."

He paused and rested his head against Delilah's, giving her forehead a gentle kiss

"Is this relationship doomed to failure?" he asked, staring straight ahead

Delilah looked up at Gavin. "It's just... well... you might have been trying to be friendly, but to other people-- and to Cecilia, it could be misconstrued as something more. You were blowing on the back of her ear, for Christ's sake! I know you were trying to comfort her, but I think you might have been... well... uh... a little too comforting, if you understand what I mean. Just saying, maybe in the future, you should try and think about how other people would perceive your actions. Hell, we got a lesson in that already, thanks to the reporters thinking we were on the roof banging, since they saw you pantsless."

She sighed and rested her head against his chest. "This relationship isn't doomed, but I think we both need to actually work if we want it to be successful."

She gently squeezed Gavin. "It's not going to be easy, but successful relationships don't just magically happen, you know. You have to put forth a little effort too."

Gavin smiled and tightened his hold on Delilah, gently stroking her back

"Hey you de-pantsified me!" he laughed, stroking her hair with one hand and her back with his other, "but I understand. I was just trying to relax her...you know, calm her down. I didn't know what else to do."

He sighed, much happier and cuddled into Delilah.

"Successful relationships do magically happen," Gavin said softly, contemplating his words, "I never expected to end up with you. It happened magically. And don't say I don't put a lot of effort into this," he laughed, "chasing you into bathrooms and onto rooftops all the time!"

Delilah giggled and stroked Gavin's back. "No, relationships, such as ours, can magically happen. But it's up to us to work and make them successful. Besides, I don't think our relationship had much of a magical beginning. I think you were just really... ahem... lonely, to put it nicely, and wanted a piece of hot secretary to fool around with."

She grinned wickedly up at him. "And then you ended up liking me a little more than you expected. Did I get it about right?" she teased.

"Besides," she continued, "I don't tell you to go chasing me everywhere I go. But we seem to have an affinity for disrobing in strange places and meeting weird people, so, eh, who are we to decide what normal is?"

She laughed and rested her head against Gavin's chest. It felt good to be held by him again.

Gavin laughed and spanked Delilah's *ss playfully, squeezing her again

"You think I'm that shallow?!" he teased, pretending to look shocked, "okay well maybe I was a little hungover and tired and wanted some company. But I wouldn't have slept with you if it wasn't serious. I'm not, entirely like that!"

He smiled and picked Delilah up in his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and held her. Bending his head to give her a kiss

"Would you rather I didn't go chasing you?" Gavin laughed, squeezing her again gently, "and you know you love me 'disrobing' you!"

He held her under her legs with one hand and placed the other one on her stomach, stroking her softly

"You know, I kinda hope there is a little Gavin in there!" he said with a smile up at his fiance, "a little tearaway heartbeaker like me!"

Delilah grinned at Gavin. "Okay, I'll admit it... I do like the disrobing, except when it becomes national and possibly worldwide news. Then, it's not so awesome. What we do in our bedroom... or kitchen... or on the roof... or the elevator... or... okay, I'll stop there. Point is, what we do is personal, not public, business."

She gently placed a hand over Gavin's. "And what if it's a little Delilah instead that's in there? Oh dear God, we'll have to lock the kid away until she's about thirty, just to make sure she stays out of trouble. The good news is, we know any kids we have will look pretty damn good. The bad news is, they'll be holy terrors."

She laughed and messed up Gavin's hair. "Any kids that took after you would be almost as bad, honey. We'll need crazy pills, either way."

Gavin laughed and held Delilah securely in his arms, pretending to drop her and then tightened his grip again.

"If it's a little Delilah in there we're doomed!" he laughed, "she'll be a completely crazy rebellious moody little girl!" he teased. He laced his fingers with Delilah's and kept them on her stomach, smiling down at her with adoration, "she'll be gorgeous though, like her mum!"

Gavin sighed happily and kissed his fiance softly and passionately, moving his head away and then rubbed noses against hers

"I think I already need crazy pills!" he added with a chuckle, "I'm crazyily in love with you!"

He smiled again and looked up, closing his eyes briefly. He shuddered playfully and giggled

"I think I'm getting withdrawel symptoms," Gavin chuckled, stroking Delilah's stomach gently, "it's been almost a week and I haven't 'got' any!" he teased, "you aren't fullfilling my needs as a guy!"

Delilah snickered a little. "Gavin, you are such a typical guy," she teased. "All you ever think about is getting some. Gee, maybe I should blame you if the results turn out positive-- all your wanting to get some action had an effect on me. I can just see it... 'Kids, the reason Mommy and Daddy had you is because Daddy couldn't leave Mommy alone long enough to actually get work done.'"

She sighed. "But fine. Let's head up to the roof so no one working here will see us... and do not let the damn reporters see you. They live for stuff like this!"

She grinned and messed up his hair. "You're lucky I love you so much."

Delilah thought to herself, I hope it does come out positive, after all. It would be nice...

Gavin laughed and gently placed Delilah down on her feet, then took off towards the stairs to the roof

"Race you!" he teased

He ran up the stairs and collasped on the lawn on the rooftop, unable to hold in his laughter. He chuckled loudly and grabbed Delilah, pulling her down beside him and kissed her, pulling away and laughed again.

"Daddy can't leave Mommy alone for two seconds!" he teased, stroking her waist and the top of her legs, smiling at her, "Mommy might run off and then you'll have Step-Daddy!"

He laughed and pulled Delilah closer to him, kissing her softly and lovingly, his hands wandering

Delilah chased Gavin up the stairs and to the roof. She giggled and tickled Gavin. "Who the hell would want me?" she said. "Most guys don't want a ready-made family, especially if the kid's not his. So, I'd be more likely to be stuck as a single mom... and making you pay huge amounts of child support!" she teased.

She tugged Gavin's shirt off and said with a smirk, "You know, I could be doing this just to get your clothes off... just so I can toss them off the roof and onto the sidewalk. You know, as revenge. What do you think of that, dear? Do you think I would do that? Do you trust me not to pull a stunt like that?"

She grinned broadly at Gavin and then reached out and messed up his hair even more. "Ha ha! What is your response to that, Mr. Ruppetts?" she teased. "Are you going to fire me for being insolent?"

Gavin laughed and started to tickle Delilah quickly, careful when he got to her stomach, as though not wanting to damage anything inside of it: even if it was just her breakfast

"Ha ha! What is your response to that, Mr. Ruppetts?" she teased. "Are you going to fire me for being insolent?"

He stuck his tongue out at her and then used it to kiss Delilah again

"No, I'm going to do this!" he laughed

He grabbed the bottom of her dress and pulled it over her head, shuffling towards her and put both of his arms around her, messing up her hair too

"And if you chuck my clothes off the roof then yours are going too!" he teased

Cecilia was walking around just to see if everyone was ok and doing their job, she also walked over to the security office.
She knocked on the door and walked in.
While looking at the tv's she talked a little with the security guard, but then she saw the rooftop.
"Oh my god... that's something I didn't want to see" she said as she rushed out.
On her way to the rooftop she thought a little, mostly about the fact that the media would be on this again. She opened the door and looked at Delilah and Gavin.
"Get Off" she said forcefully.

Delilah gasped and hid behind Gavin. She did her best to try to make herself decent.

Crap... it's just our luck that Cecilia had to come along... she thought.

She peeked out from behind Gavin at the woman, her eyes wide and fearful. She clutched at him, as if using him as a shield.

She's going to be ticked. No, enraged. Hell, past that! Delilah thought, biting her lip. Damn it!

"I... I..." she stammered. She handed Gavin his shirt so that he could put it on.

There you go, Cecilia, your peepshow for the day, she thought bitterly. She had to walk in on us...

Cecilia shook her head.
"I don't believe it. You're sad or angry because the media caught you, and you just do it again." she said softly, and left the rooftop, still shaking her head.
She walked over to her own office and sat down behind her computer to check some e-mails, FashionWEB and QC's Website.
She also looked at some fansites, where she commented on.
I'm back, and things are still the same.
Except from the fact that i'm more comfortable and Delilah actually felt sorry for me.
Hmmm... But there are still the same people who don't work as much ast they should.

Gavin looked up and his eyes widened as he saw Cecilia, quickly removing his hands from Delilah's underwear. She hid behind him and passed him his shirt, which he shrugged on quickly and buttoned up as fast as he could.

"Erm..." he stammered, looking up at Cecilia

He grabbed Delilah's dress and put it over her head for her, making her decent and then stood up, checking his the flies of his pants were zipped up

"Back to work everyone," Gavin said as if nothing had happened

He saw Cecilia walk away and he turned back to Delilah and let out a stifled giggled

"Shame she caught us!" he teased, kissing her again.

He ran his hands down her dress and grinned, winking at his fiance

"We can always try again later!" he giggled

He kissed Delilah's hands and then walked with her down the stairs and towards Cecilia's office. Damage control he mouthed to Delilah with a smirk and then walked in, closing the door behind him

"Erm..." he said, looking at Cecilia, "sorry."

Cecilia didn't say anything, she only nodded.
He isn't sorry at all.
She continued to work on some stuff on her computer and changed the subject.
"So you really want to help me?" she asked, mentioning the pregnancy,
"Or was it just something to comfort me, and make me happy for the time being?" she continued.

Gavin walked further into her office and sat down on the sofa, reclining backwards on it with a sigh

"Yea I wanna help you," he said eventually, "I also want you to be happy."

He paused, unsure what to say and ran his hands through his hair, attempting to make it smarter after what Delilah had done to it. It was like all over him was traces of what they'd been doing on the rooftop, all over it were reminders to Cecilia that he didnt' love her, and never would. Gavin tidied himself quickly and looked over at his boss, not wanting to make her any madder

"Some weather we've been having!" he said, instantly feeling stupid

She closed her eyes and breathed out slowly.
"Thank you" she whispered.
She then walked over to him and sat down next to him.
"Oh... and I've been to the doctor. I'm really pregnant." she said.

Hannah had nearly finalised her plans for the fashion show when she realised. They needed designers! She didn't know where Nicolao was after Gavin beat him up. She searched the employee database and found there was still one designer the company had employed. A Jayden Bell. Hannah had never met him before but figured he wouldn't be too hard to find and would probably be in the designers area of the building. She left her office and went down in the elevator to the designers floor. She was checking each office to try and find this guy but wasn't looking where she was going and soon bumped into a man and fell over onto the floor

Jayden went straightly into his office as he arrived and opened the windows. Looked like the room hasn't got any light or fresh air in the time he was away.
He sighed and decided to get something to drink and start working after that.

Jayden walked along the empty floor as all of sudden a blonde woman bumped into him and fell onto the ground.

"Whoa, sorry!" he said. "I didn't see you!". He reached out his hand to help her up and couldn't recall that he had seen her before.
"Don't think I've seen you before so I might should introduce myself, my name is Jayden, Jayden Bell".

Cecilia smiled a little, knowing Gavin had nothing to say.
"It's really strange how things have changed, and on the other side, how they have not." she closed her eyes and leaned back.

"How's it going with the media? Lots of stuff must have happened." she said, her eyes still closed.
She breathed in and out slowly, trying to relax.
It seemed like relaxing was really hard since she found out she was having a baby.

"Hmm" she said, finally beginning to relax.

Gavin sighed and glanced towards the door, hoping Delilah would come in soon, he didn't like being alone with Cecilia: it unnerved him

"Er yea," he stammered, shuffling away from her on the sofa, "they went a little crazy at the prospect that Delilah might be pregnant!"

He laughed a little and put on a fake smile

"And the newspaper this morning..."

He stopped, figuring it might be better not to tell her about his 'escapade' on the rooftop in his boxers

"What happened?" she asked, sensing the awkardness a little.
"I guess it something what would make me 'ticked' as you all say it. Not that you really know what happened to me and how I have changed." she smiled.
"I like to see you happy. So if you're with Delilah, I guess you're happy and so it makes me a little bit happy. Something that doesn't make me happy is people acting weird and like i'm some kind of criminal who will do whatever it takes to be with someone." she coughed.
"You have to know that because I love you doesn't mean that if I fire someone it's because of that. It's just wrong to have sex in every single corner of the building."

"You say you won't do whatever it takes to be with someone!" he said angrily, "how about jeapordising(?) my relationship with Delilah, always trying to seperate us, firing her at every chance possible and begging me to go to bed with you!"

He turned and walked towards the door

"And we didn't have sex on the rooftop, not today or yesterday --no matter what the f*king paparazzi say!" he yelled at her

He opened the door and walked through it, turning back for a final glare at Cecilia

"I bet you wouldn't say it's wrong to have sex in every corner of the building if it was me with you!"

"I've changed ok? But you don't seem to get that. You always walk away when I say something. You don't even want to be with me in one room. But you DO want to be my friend?" she called after him.
"And you act like i'm going to kill Delilah or something. When you're around me you say you want to be my friend, but when you're with someone else, you talk behind my back! What do you want Gavin!?" a tear fell down her cheek.
"Do you think this is easy for me? Huh? Like i'm happy to watch you two doing something else than working. To be around people who hate me. To not have real friends!"
She sighed, realizing he had already left the room. She messaged him.

Cilla watched Delilah walk away sadly and then the sight of Gavin running after her. Somehow, they had disapeared and all that was left as her and Aaron.

"Hi Cilla, I'm Aaron, nice to meet you" he said.

She frowned, got up and looked at him, crossing her arms quietly. "I'm not stupid." she said quietly. See, there are good sides and bad sides to being something famous. A good side - publicity, fame, money, and all that sorts of crap. Then, the bad side - paparazzis, stalkers, and idiots who think models are anorexic dummies.

"I can get the hint when I'm not wanted." she continued, quietly, trying to be polite - but instead waited for his reply before leaving.

Delilah sat in her office, checking her e-mail. Nothing but the usual junk. Just then, her cell phone rang. She answered it.

"Hello?"

"Yes," the woman on the other end said, "This is Dr. Desjardin's nurse. The test results came in unusually early. Apparently, the doctor had the technicians analyze your samples ahead of everyone else's. Guess he thought they were really important for you to know."

"Oh, great," Delilah said. She listened as the woman told her the results. "Mmhmm. Really? Well, thank you very much. You have a nice day too."

She shut the phone and sat back. "Well," she murmured, "when Gavin gets back, I'll have to tell him."

She decided to take a walk. She stepped out of her office and into the hallway, not sure where she would go. But she needed to take a walk and think.

Gavin walked away from Cecilia's office, not listening to whatever else she was saying. He was tired and still in a state of shock from everything that had happened that day, especially with Delilah. As he made his way back at his office he spotted her walking along the hallway and smiled, walking over to her

"I can't believe Cecilia caught us!" he giggled, "not a pretty sight I'm guessing."

He wrapped his arms around Delilah and gave her a kiss, pulling away when he realised she was very silent

"Everything okay?" he asked, stroking her cheek, "you look distant!"

Delilah leaned against Gavin. "I heard from the doctor," she said. "Apparently, they ran the tests as soon as they could, and they gave me my results. Remember how we weren't sure if I was paranoid or in denial?"

She smirked and leaned close and whispered into Gavin's ear, "Well, it turns out that I was very much in denial."

She laughed. "Congratulations, Mr. Ruppetts. You've knocked up your secretary, just like many other bosses have. How do you feel?" she teased.

Oh my God, oh my God, she thought. I can't believe it. I heard it from someone in the medical profession, and I still can't believe it. Oh my God. Wow, I can just hear Mom now-- 'Way to go, Gavin! My daughter sure picked a fertile one!'

Gavin's mouth fell open and, after a moment of shock, he grinned widely. Oh my god, that's amazing. I'm going to be a father. A father! Me and Dee...will it be a boy or girl? Should we get a bigger house? We're going to be a family

"That's fantastic!" he laughed, scooping Delilah up into his arms

He kissed her softly and spun her around a couple of times, the grin still firmly across his lips. He had never been happier

"How far on are you?" Gavin asked with Delilah still cradelled in his arms, "when's your first scan? Are you okay? Are you happy?" he bumbled in delight

Delilah laughed. "Calm down. One question at a time. I'm not too far along, about three weeks to a month. They want me to come in for some tests next week. Yes, I'm okay. And yes, I am very happy."

She grinned and hugged Gavin tightly. "I guess this means we should tell Mom," she snickered. "Let's call her from my office so I can put her on speaker phone!"

She dragged Gavin to her office, called up her mother, and set the phone to speaker phone.

"Hello?" her mother said.

"Hey, Mom, it's me and Gavin. We have something to tell you."

"What? Is the wedding off?"

"No, actually, it's still on. But there's something else that's come up."

"What?"

Delilah waited a few seconds, and then said, "You're going to be a grandmother."

Her mother responded with a loud shriek of excitement. "Oh my God! Are you serious?! Are you pulling a prank on me?!"

"No, Mom, it's for real. I just got the call from the doctor's office."

"OH MY GOD!"

"Calm down, Mom. I'm going to let you go now, so you can tell Dad."

"Okay, sure, honey. Oh my God, I can't believe it!"

"Me either. Bye, Mom!"

"Bye, Dee. And Gavin, way to get a head start on things! Great job!"

Delilah's mother hung up. Delilah snickered. "Eh, that's my mom for you. As you can tell, she's thrilled. However, I'm sure your parents will probably want to kill you or disown you."

Gavin grinned and perched on the chair in Delilah's office, holing Delilah on his lap as she spoke to her mother.

"Bye Mrs Stanton!" he called out as she hung up

He turned to Delilah and laughed, playfully ruffling her hair

"I think she likes me!" he chuckled, his cheeks turning pink, "and I don't give a sh*t about what my mum has to say. I'm happy, so she should be too!"

Gavin giggled like a schoolgirl and cupped his hands around Delilah's stomach, stroking her gently. He loved the thought that there was something growing inside her: half him and half her: uniting them together. Something that they'd both love and cherish and would surely draw them closer: if that were possible

"Want to have a laugh?" he asked her with a smirk, "let's call my mom."

He set up the speaker phone again and dialed his home number, waiting for her to pick up

"Hello? Mrs Ruppetts speaking, how may I help you?"

Gavin rolled his eyes at Delilah and then continued

"Hi mom, it's me Gav, and your future daughter-in-law Delilah."

"Oh. Why, what's going on? Are you okay? Is the wedding off?"

"No mum, actually, I'm just calling to tell you that Delilah is pregnant --with my child."

There was a pause and then, to his amazement, he heard laughter

"Congratulations son!" his mother said in a warm tone, "I'm happy for you."

Gavin looked stunned and raised his eyebrows

"Seriously? Wow, thanks mom. I thought you'd hate me!"

"What? No! Why would I hate you? I've always wanted to be a grandmother! If this secretary gets you away from hookers and strippers then I'm all for it. Does she want any advice?"

Delilah raised her eyebrows and mouthed to Gavin, "Hookers and strippers?"

Out loud, she said, "Yes, that would be lovely, Mrs. Ruppets."

"Be sure to get lots of exercise-- it helps speed up the delivery time. Oh, and don't drink too much coffee or eat too much chocolate, because it tastes good, but it does all kinds of crazy stuff to you. And make sure to eat lots of good foods, lots of fruits and vegetables and things like that. Drink lots of milk too, or eat a lot of yogurt. And try to avoid salt whenever possible. Take care of that baby, Delilah."

"Yes, ma'am, I will. I planned on taking care of him or her anyways."

"Good. Well, I have to go; I've already promised my friends that I would have tea with them, so goodbye."

"Goodbye," Delilah replied. She turned off the speakerphone and then turned to Gavin. "So, what's this about strippers and hookers? Some sordid past I should know about?"

Gavin cringed at his mothers words and turned very red, looking over at Delilah and rolled his eyes

"Okay thanks mom. Love you," he said as she hung up

"I was a working young man in the city, give me a break!" he replied, resting his hands on her stomach again, cupping their child

"I may have been notorious for having a seamy, sleezy past, but that sh*t is over now. It was over the first time I laid eyes on you. So, I've done some bad things in my time, who hasn't? I was a guy who didn't have time for a girlfriend!"

He sighed and reminded himself to kill his mother when he next saw her, and then stroked Delilah's chin

"Fancy stripping for me?" he teased, "we never finished up on the roof!"

Delilah snickered. "I wasn't blaming you, although I hope you used protection with those hookers. I know how it is, lonely professional guy, no girlfriend, blah blah blah. I was just asking, because a few years ago, I worked at a strip joint for about two weeks or so-- yeah, I know, I've had some pretty sleazy jobs-- but I got sick of dealing with the more... uh... demanding customers. The really creepy ones, the drunks, the ones who kept trying to feel me up and ended up with a high heel up their nose. The straw that broke the camel's back was when this drunk guy-- really drunk-- tried to pull me off the stage. So, I gave him a good smack across the face. Hell, for all I know, you were that drunk guy I slapped."

She poked at Gavin. "But sure, I'll strip for you, if you'll hand over enough money," she teased. "Besides, what if Cecilia came in and saw? We're already in deep sh*t with her as it is."

Gavin laughed, thinking back to his earlier years and wondered whether he'd ever had a beautiful dark haired stripped smack him in the face. He'd had plently of slap faces of course, but he doubted it was Delilah: that would have been too freaky!

"I never pulled a girl offstage!" he laughed, tapping Delilah on the nose, "besides, I was always the hottest guy in there. The girls all came to me!" he teased

He pushed Delilah off his lap and took out his wallet with a chuckle, and handed her $200 in chash with a grin

"That enough?" Gavin asked with raised eyebrows, "...plus the knowlege that you may 'get some' once you're done!"

He laughed and then thought about Cecilia for a brief moment, then cast the thought from his mind,

"She aint gunna catch us!" he said firmly, walking over to the door and locking it, "I bet she breaks it down just to get a piece of the action!" he chuckled, moving back over to sit on the desk, watching Delilah with a grin

Delilah eyed the cash. "Hmmm... that might be enough. And you're probably right about Cecilia. However, there's probably security cameras all over the building. Probably in here too. Do you want to risk having some perverted security guard watching?"

She snickered a little. "Sorry, but I've got a good enough job that pays enough to where I don't have to do that kind of crap for anyone except you. And I'd like to keep it that way."

She thought for a moment. "If there was a good-sized closet or something..." she mused.

My God, we're like freaking kids in high school. Worse, actually. Way to act like grownups, eh? she thought. It's no wonder I'm pregnant-- Gavin can't keep his damn hands off of me.

Gavin laughed and looked around the room, nervous as if someone was watching them and then chuckled again

"You've got a lot of making up to do back home though!" he teased

He pulled Delilah towards him and kissed her lips gently, stroking her neck and back, and then released her

"I'm sorry I'm so childish!" he giggled, "I can't seem to keep my hands off you!"

Gavin sighed and smiled. He jumped off her desk and pushed everything off it, jumping back on and then looked at Delilah seductively

"Can you resist me though?" he asked, running his tongue along his upper lip flirtatiously, "tell me you don't wanna scr*w me right now!" he laughed

Gavin lay flat on the desk and turned his head to face Delilah, undoing a couple of buttons on his shirt and starting laughing. Their relationship was so crazy, but so fantastic: it made him smile just to be with her

She glanced at the stuff that landed on the floor and then frowned. Ack... broken stuff! And it's not cheap stuff either! she thought.

"So, let's see... you owe me a coffee mug, a new laptop, a vase, and a box of candy," she remarked. "If you're going to be seductive, at least avoid being destructive. I paid good money for that stuff."

She knelt and picked up her laptop and tried to turn it on. "You're lucky," she said. "The laptop appears to still be in working condition, for now."

She set the laptop aside, on top of her file cabinet. "However," she sighed. "There is still a penalty for making such a mess in my office..."

She laughed evilly and pounced on him.

An hour later, Delilah eased herself off of the desk and adjusted her clothes. She smirked and messed up Gavin's hair even more than it already was.

"And that," she said, "is why you shouldn't make such a mess of my office."

Gavin sat up and panted heavily, grinning over at Delilah as she eased herself off the desk

"Remind me to make a mess more often!" he said with a chuckle

He fixed his clothes and smartened his hair, bending down to pick up all the stuff he'd knocked to the floor and placed it back on her desk

"I told you that you can't keep your hands off me!" Gavin laughed, turning round to face his fiance and gave her a kiss, pulling away longingly

He glanced at his reflection in the mirror and chuckled at the state of his hair: most of the blonde strands sticking straight upwards or out at funny angles, making him look like he'd been dragged through a hedge backwards

"You're wild!" Gavin said to Delilah with a giggle, "wild and incredible. Your mother will be pleased!"

Delilah snorted. "Great example we're setting, eh? We should behave... there's a child present," she joked. "I can just see it now... the kid's first day of school, and everyone's telling what their parents do. And our kid? He says, 'Well, I don't know what Mommy and Daddy do at work, except their hair is all messed up when they come home, and Mommy's makeup is all over her face. But they seem really happy, so I guess they like their job.'"

She laughed and poked Gavin's arm. "I swear, one of these days, Cecilia is just going to fire both of us, and it'll be your fault! You shouldn't be so damn tempting!"

She sighed and tried to make Gavin's hair neater, with little success. "Well, you have that 'I just rolled out of bed' look now. Or, if you prefer, the 'Just rolled off the desk' look. It is so obvious what we were up to. You, my love, are a terrible influence on me."

Gavin laughed and gave Delilah little nibbling kisses down her shoulder blade and up her neck, clasping his arms around her

"At least he or she'll have a healthy sex drive!" he chuckled, "most kids are exposed to stuff like this --it shows the Mommy and the Daddy love each other!"

He chuckled and attempted to flattern his own hair

"I'm sorry I'm so tempting," he laughed, gently placing his tongue in Delilah's ear, "I'll try not to be so darn alluring next time!"

Gavin again attempted to smarten his hair and sighed playfully, waving his hands in the air as if he was giving up

"I don't care anymore!" he laughed, "next time we're making love, try not to get me so messy!"

He giggled and stroked her stomach again, as if stroking their baby

"Do you think we should buy a bigger house?" Gavin asked, staring into space, "so the child can't hear the groans and moans coming from the master bedroom!"

Delilah smiled and stroked Gavin's hair. "Well, how much bigger of a house are you thinking? Because, as it is now, I think our neighbors want to kill us," she teased.

She sighed and wrapped her arms around him. "I love you," she said softly. "I'm glad I met you."

This is nice. Wedding's coming up, I've got a baby to look forward to in about eight or nine months, and I've got an incredible man who loves me. What more could I ask for? she thought, smiling.

She placed a hand over her stomach. Grow fast, little one, she thought. You've got a great life ahead of you.

Delilah leaned her head on Gavin's shoulder and sighed.

Gavin smiled and bent his head to kiss Delilah's hand which was on her stomach, and then placed his own hand over hers

"I love you too," he whispered, holding her close to him, "and as for the house, I wouldn't mind how big. You and Amber can go house hunting together if you like --price no consideration."

He smiled to himself, so content and pleased with how his life was going at the moment. Wedding, honeymoon in Hawaii, and a baby. A child, his firstborn and something he could pit all his hopes and dreams on

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. My assistant got us the biggest honeymoon suite on the island in two weeks time!" Gavin said, pulling Delilah's chin up to look at him, "apparently it comes with a heart shaped bed, personal butler and private hot tub, plently of time for love!"

All I request is that it has more than one bathroom in it, and that the master bedroom is spacious enough to where I don't have to get changed in the closet because there's more room."

She laughed a little. "Sorry, but that's pretty much describing the house I lived in for a few years when I was much younger, before my parents and I moved to a bigger house."

She grinned. "Oh, and of course, a nice-sized yard. Kids need a place to run around and have fun. It sucks to keep them cooped up inside, doing brainless stuff like watching TV."

Now generally this wasn't a very common thing, seeing as she usually found things to organize or papers to file.

So she decided to send off an e-mail to Delilah, knowing she was usually up for a chat.

Aaron watched as Delilah sat up and entered the ladies bathroom. A blonde haired man soon followed suit. Aaron stared at his half bitten nails and gulped down some air, before stadning up and walking off to find some company. He wandered the level and found a familiar name on an office door as he was walking to the lifts. It read 'Amber Radisson'. Aaron knocked on the door, didn't wait for an answer and opened it. "Sorry if I'm interupting anything," He painted a fake smile on his face "I'm rather lonely and desperate for a conversation.. Delilah abandoned the conversation I was having with her quite abruptly.." He realised he was starting to ramble. "Anyway," Aaron sat down on one of the chairs in the office. "I'm Aaron, nice to meet you"

He studied the red-head's features. Very smooth and placid. Her bright red curls flowed down her shoulders, nearly touching the keyboard she was typing on. He gave her a faint smile and waited for a response.

How's all the planning going? Have you told your crazy mum about the possible news yet? Actually do you know for sure yet yourselves, I'm dying to know all about it! E-mail back soon, my "boss" has yet to give me anything to do after getting back. Probably still moping in her office or something. At least you have something to do during the day!

Delilah grinned and bit her lip. "Amber, you're in for one hell of a surprise," she muttered.

Hey, Amber. Turns out that yes, I am expecting. What a surprise, eh? I told my mom, and she's all thrilled. Surprisingly, Gavin's mom took it well. He and I are thinking about looking for a bigger house. You might not have anything to do during the day, but at least it's better than me and Gav always managing to tick off Cecilia one way or another. But, yeah, life is pretty good, overall.

He let out a soft laugh, amused at her commment. "Me either, I'd probably just have some water" Aaron followed suit, and got up from the chair he was sitting on. Those kind of people, journalists and alike should focus on their own relationships, rather than other people's"

You know that other secretary Chris? He used to date Cecilia and her gave some nasty interviews to the press after she nearly drowned. Well there were a few days where he just would not leave me alone. He kept trying to give me stuff and even followed me to my house. It was just plain freaky".
