"Okay" Hannah said "First get rid of this" Hannah said as she took the cigarette from his mouth and stamped on it "It's disgustingand that 'will' kill you, second. No the baby isn't Gavin's, I don't know who's it is, but I don't think they have slept together, thirdly to be honest I don't think Gavin is up to the job of running the company by himself, he get's to easily distracted and somehow seems to invite drama to himself. Also he seems to spending a lot of time lately planning his wedding to care and not enough about the company and lastly why would your parent's kill you? They're going to be relieved that your okay, as will Cecilia. If you explain why you did it, i'm sure they will understand that you didn't do it out of spite. I mean you and Cecilia could managed the company together. I mean that's what your mother would of wanted, her two kids running her company? I really think you should go see Cecilia, I think she's in her office right now. But I have to go meet with some photographers for the fashion show. But tell me how it goes, actually call me" Hannah then pulled out her purse and gave Micheal a card with her mobile number on it. "Okay so call me, but I promise you everything will be fine" Hannah then turned and started to jog down the alleyway as she was already late for her meeting.

Chinsa was a bit plumper now she had taken a much needed break from the her job not that anyone would have noticed her absence. She had put on about ten pounds due to her sisters constant home cooking. She wouldn't get hired for any run way and still frames weren't much of a challenge for her. But she had a fashion show and any missed shows wouldn't look good in her profolio. But size fours wore all the "un-pretty"
clothing and she was now a size four. A million crazy schemes and plans ran through her head. But one might be crazy enough to work. Getting Haruka her twin sister to do the fashion show for her of course the differences between them were so minor no one would notice. But Chinsawould have to keep an eye out for her. So she decided to apply for a job as an assistant, but to who? She thought of all the employees who needed an assistant and didn't have one already.Noone came to mind he only thing left to do was ask Cecilia to find something for her to do small odd jobs so she could keep an eye on her sister. She grabbed her sister ,her purse, and her heels and headed into the city toward Queens Clothing. Once she arrived she explained her plan to her sister who nodded attentively. Then she stepped inside the elevator and prayed her plan would work. Once they arrived on te correct floor her sister gazed at the high ceilings and beautiful paintings that lined the halls when they came to Cecilia's office. Chinsa knocked three times hard then waited for a response.

Hannah made it to the meeting with the photographers just in time and they talked a lot about the fashion show. It was mid afternoon when Hannah returned to QC eager to know if Micheal had met Cecilia yet. On her way to her office Hannah stopped by Gavin's office to see how he was but when she entered it looked abandoned. Some of his plants were dying and dust was collecting on his desk. Where was he? But Hannah had no time to worry and tried to find her secretary Chris, but he was no where to be seen.

Alicia walked into the office a little nervous,she had put a lot of time and consideration onto her outfit,wanting to make a good first impression,she was also lost and would be late,what a good first impression that would make.As she turned around the corner,she bumped into a woman hurrying also,"oh my god!,i'm so sorry",she said as she helped her up.

Hannah had been hurrying back to her office when she collided with another worker. The unknown worker helped out her hand to help her up

"Oh my god!, I'm so sorry" The Woman said

"No it's okay, I wasn't looking where I was going either" Hannah said dusting herself down. She then inspected the woman, she had never seen her before at the offic3 but she needed a bit of help now.

Alicia looked at the woman up and down,it was obvious she was kind of a big shot around here.

"Actually can you do me a favour, I wouldn't normally ask but my secretary has gone walkabout, first I want you to call up Delilah Stanton and ask where Gavin Ruppets is, then I want you to arrange a meeting with Cecilia for me as we need to discuss the fashion show and then after if you could try and see if you could find Micheal Queen in the building and ask him to come to my office.
Alicia felt lost,she had just started here,she didn't know anyone or anything at all,hoping not to offend the woman and possibly lose her job or something she replied cautiously,"um,i'm sorry but i'm new here and i don't know anybody".

Delilah pushed the blankets off herself, groaning a little, as she opened her eyes ever so slightly, peering at the clock beside her bed. For the past few days, she'd been sick. So sick, in fact, that she'd spent most of her time either in bed, vomiting, or all but crawling to the kitchen to force down a few bites of food, only to vomit them up again.

After the incident with Gavin at the hospital, she'd run out of the hospital, ashamed of herself-- I was so mean... and not to mention greedy! Why did I drink those many drinks? And why the hell did I yell at Gavin like that? she berated herself-- and drove back home. The next day, she was ill. She hadn't heard any news of him, nor had she been unable to call him or her coworkers.

They probably think we're dead, she thought wryly. But I feel dead.

She shivered a little, yanking the blanket back up over herself. Have to stay alive, she told herself. Have to stay alive for Gav and our baby. Whatever's wrong with me, I'll get through it alive. I always do.

"Um, I'm sorry but I'm new here and I don't know anybody" The woman said

"Ah okay then don't worry about it, I'll do it" Hannah said and she left the woman standing in the corridor. Hannah returned to her office and sat down at her desk. She booted up her computer and typed out this message to Cecilia

"Cecilia. We really need to discuss things about the fashion show. I think we should have a 30 minute meeting at 1 PM tommorow in the board room. It's the only time I'm available for the next few days sorry. Please email back if this time is inconvenient. Hannah"

Hannah then picked up her phone and dialled Delilahs number. She went straight to voicemail and Hannah left a message

"Hello Delilah, It's Hannah here, I'm just wondering where Gavin is as we really need him to help with planning the fashion show and he hasn't been to the office for a few days. I hope you and the twins are fine. Bye!"

Alicia watched as the woman left,she certainly seemed frazzled,well at least she had said the truth and not lied and then messed it up.Alicia continued to walk down the hall looking for Cecilia queen's office,when she suddenly saw another guy walking down the hall,as she took a look at him she felt as if she was floating,he was definetely not bad looking,as he passed by her,he suddenly turned towards her and said,"hi,um are you looking for something?",she felt cunfused and realised that he was talking to her and managed a "uh,uh no never mind",and hurried down the hall to a safe place,she certainly had a way with first impressions.

Delilah reached wearily over to her cell phone. She hadn't turned it on for more than five minutes at a time. She flipped it open and turned it on. "A message," she mumbled. "Wonder if it's about Gavin."

She listened to the message:

"Hello Delilah, It's Hannah here, I'm just wondering where Gavin is as we really need him to help with planning the fashion show and he hasn't been to the office for a few days. I hope you and the twins are fine. Bye!"

Delilah, despite her illness, was still willing to make a small joke to try and lighten the situation. "The twins?" she muttered. "Given that I'm not far along enough to know how many I'm having, maybe she's saying she hopes my breasts are fine. Okay, that was so stupid, even I think that's stupid. No time for jokes, Dee. Time to get serious."

She closed her eyes and thought for a moment. No one at work knows what happened to Gavin. I don't know what's going on with Gavin at the present. So, if no one knows what happened to Gav... then that's bad.

She wearily pressed in the number Hannah had dialed from. "Hannah, this is Delilah," she said, trying to sound strong and healthy. "I've been a little under the weather the last few days. Gavin's in the hospital, the last I saw of him, which was... uh... about when I got sick. So, I know about as much as you do."

Hannah was checking her shedule for the next few days when her phone rang, she picked it up and listened

"Hannah, this is Delilah. I've been a little under the weather the last few days. Gavin's in the hospital, the last I saw of him, which was... uh... about when I got sick. So, I know about as much as you do."

"Well Delilah Thats the point, I don't know anything. Why Is Gavin In the hospital? I hope you two haven't fallen out again?" Hannah said pressing the phone to her ear with her shoulder while continuing to type on her computer

Delilah paused, guiltily. Falling out... damn, she really can hit the nail on the head.

"Gavin is in the hospital because his future father-in-law decided it would be a good idea to get him plastered. As a result, Gav got alcohol poisoning. And I've been too sick to call up the hospital to see how he is," she said slowly. "...And... uh... yeah, we kind of had a fight. I said a few hurtful things that I'm still kicking myself about, and... yeah."

Delilah took a deep breath, forcing herself not to vomit. "Did you want me to come into the office?"

Gav, I'm sorry, she thought. Oh God, he could be dead now, for all I know. And it would be all my fault. Oh God... I'm sorry, Gav! she thought, biting her lip.

She felt a tear running down her face. Quickly, she wiped it away, but it was replaced soon by dozens more.

"Did you want me to come into the office?"

"No we really need Gavin at the moment to help with planning the fashion show. I just need someone's help with planning as I haven't seen Cecilia for a while. But you get better soon then okay Delilah, I don't want to see you until you are fit and healthy again and I'm sure you and Gavin will make up in time for the wedding. Bye" Hannah put down the phone and sighed heavily, Why couldn't they have a normal relationship? But now she thought about it where was Cecilia?. She had sent Micheal up to meet her but didn't know if he found her. Where was she?

Delilah sighed and curled up in her bed. After a moment of hesitation, she dialed the number of the hospital. The phone rang and rang, but no one answered. With a groan, she put the phone on the nightstand and curled up again.

Gavin, she thought. I'm sorry. Really. Please... forgive me.

A brief wave of nausea swept over her, and she closed her eyes tightly, willing it away. "What's wrong with me?" she muttered. "Can guilt make you physically ill?"

She wrapped the blankets tightly around her. I wonder how Gavin is. Is he alive? Dead? If he's dead, then what? Does he have a will written out? Will I be thrown out on the streets and forced to go back to my old ways? She cringed a little at this idea. I hope not. I hope he's well and... just... unable to contact me. Or something.

Micheal pressed the elevator button and waited for it to ding.
He was there, and now there was no way back.
He slowly knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.
Cecilia heard a knock on her door and walked over to it. As she opened the door, her eyes widened.

He was here, probably to kill her or something. No, he should go away before he made any more trouble than there already was. Micheal just stood there, silent. His hear was beating faster than ever and this was the only moment to make it like it was before.
"Cecilia..." he whispered. "Please, don't send me away. I'm so sorry for what happened. I wish I could tell you why I did all this, but you just wouldn't understand. I only did it for you. Please, forgive me."
His words made it's way to Cecilia's heart in just a second. It felt so weird that he was there, standing on her doormat.
Just saying sorry.
"Micheal, please. I can't deal with this." she lied.
She knew it wasn't right to do this, but she was so scared. She closed the door and sighed. But she then heard his voice again.
He had put his foot between the door and the wall.
"Don't be afraid, I won't do anything. Please, forgive me and don't let me suffer here."
Cecilia looked at the ground and then opened the door.
"Don't ever do anything like the things you did again. If you do, then I have to say goodbye to you, forever. And that means I'll just continue thinking you're dead, while you're not." she then let him in, she recognized this kind of conversation. Gavin... she thought. She now knew how he felt when she did things to him he didn't want. I have to go to him... but how... the nurses wont even let me in.

Gavin had spent the last few days in the hospital, barely moving and his thoughts all spiralling around one person: Delilah. He couldn't stop thinking about her, the way she smelt: the way she walked: the way she tasted when he kissed her. Ever since she'd yelled at him and run from the hospital, he hadn't been able to stop thinking about her: wondering whether she thought things were over between them. He hadn't seen or heard from her in days and it was driving him crazy, even more so than being in hospital attatched to so many wires.

"Mr Ruppetts, we need to check some final tests, and then, if it's all clear you can go home."

Gavin looked up, not even realising someone had entered the room and was taken aback by the doctors voice. He shuffled a little in the bed, allowing the doctor to check the needles in his arms and the one in particular that was monitoring his blood. After several minutes, he looked at Gavin with a smile

"All's clear Mr Ruppetts," the doctor told him as Gavin sighed with relief, "although I don't want you driving for the next couple of days. Is there anyone that could come and pick you up?"

Gavin gulped, dare he call Delilah and have her slam the phone down on him? The doctor left the room and Gavin picked up the phone by his bed, dialling the number of his own house, not really believing she'd be there anyway

"Hello?" he said warily as someone picked up, "Delilah? Are you there? I love you darling, please don't hate me. Could you come and pick me up from the hospital? I've had the all-clear..."

Cecilia got out of her bed, looked at Micheal, who was sleeping on the couch in the living room and slowly picked up her phone from the table to create a new message.

Hey Gavin, how are you? I hope you can go home soon. Call me, or something.

She send it and walked back into her bedroom where she opened the curtains. The first strays of light lightened up the room. She opened the drawers en took out some clean clothes, which she put on. She then walked to the bathroom.
She brushed her hair and walked out again, softly waking up Micheal.

Delilah answered the phone, and she was shocked-- nay, astonished-- to hear Gavin's voice. He's alive! she thought. But her joy turned to fear. What if he's angry and is calling to yell at me?

"Hello?" he said warily as someone picked up, "Delilah? Are you there? I love you darling, please don't hate me. Could you come and pick me up from the hospital? I've had the all-clear..."

Delilah felt a tear running down her face. "...Yes... I'll be there in a little bit. I love you too, sweetie."

Without a moment of hesistation, despite being ill, she hurried out of the house and all but leapt into the car. She rushed to the hospital, breaking speed limits a few times. She raced into the hospital, to where Gavin was waiting, and embraced him tightly.

"It's going to be okay now," she whispered. They left the hospital, and she drove him back home. Delilah helped Gavin into the house.

"I'm so glad to see you," she said. "I haven't been well lately, which is why I haven't called or checked up on you."

Gavin smiled for the first time in days as he put the phone down and changed into a pair of jeans and loose black shirt, waiting for Delilah to come and pick him up. He was delighted that she wasn't angry with him or still wanting to snap at him, as he'd been hurt and confused at her outburst the last time they'd spoken. She'd been so malicious, as though he had deliberately gotten ill or something, just to annoy her. Gavin sighed heavily and let his cares drop, taking only a matter of minutes for his heart to be filled, once again, with love for her. As he waited for her to arrive, he felt his forgotten cell phone buzzing in his back pocket

Hey Gavin, how are you? I hope you can go home soon. Call me, or something.

Gavin sighed and headed for the waiting room, collapsing into a seat to wait for Delilah as he typed out a message back to Cecilia

Almost as soon as he'd sent it, he was embraced tightly by a running Delilah as she leapt into his arms. Gavin smiled warmly, hugging her back, pleased to be back in her embrace once more. They barely spoke on the way home - to their home, only pausing as she helped him into the house

"I'm so glad to see you," she said. "I haven't been well lately, which is why I haven't called or checked up on you."

Gavin nodded and gently stroked Delilah's cheek, concern in his eyes

"Are you okay baby?" he asked in a soft whisper, "and is our actual baby okay?"

He took Delilah's hand and led her into the lounge, sitting down on the sofa and pulled her next to him, letting both his arms wrap tightly around her. He smiled to himself, so overcome from being with her again, feeling her body heat against his own and he softly stroked her hair lovingly

Delilah rested her head on Gavin's shoulder. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just a little virus or something. And I think our baby is fine-- I've been making sure to eat and all, even though I've been spending most of the day either asleep or hugging the toilet."

She made a face. "Hannah wanted to know how you were doing-- she hadn't heard from you in a while. But enough about that junk. How have you been, sweetheart?" She hugged Gavin tightly. "I'm sorry I yelled at you."

She clung to him, grateful that he was still with her. Even after all I've done... he still loves me, she thought, amazed. She brushed her lips briefly against his cheek, fearful that if she dared to do more, he'd become angry and yell at her for being so mean. Then again, I'd deserve it, she thought.

Gavin smiled worriedly at Delilah, letting his hand continue to stroke her hair. He listened to what she had to say about Hannah, wrinkling up his nose a little as he didn't want to bother with work at the moment. He'd had too much at the moment to care about that: they'd be back soon and everything would go back to normal

"I'll ring Hannah later," he said more to himself than Delilah, tightening his arms that were wrapped protectively around her

As she gave him a small peck on the cheek, Gavin turned to look down at her, seeing the confusion and doubt in her eyes. He sighed, and then smiled warmly, showing he wasn't still angry at her, he loved her too much to stay angry

"I forgive you darling," he whispered, pressing his lips softly to her forehead, "don't even worry about it, it's all forgotten now."

Gavin smiled, further embracing Delilah and let his eyes close for a moment. He then pulled her to him and kissed her lips softly to show he meant what he had said. She was his and he was hers...she was his and he was hers

"All that matters is I love you and I'll continue to do so for the rest of my life"

Delilah smiled up at Gavin. "So... when do you want to do the wedding?"

Soon, I hope. With all the stuff that comes up, it seems like if you don't do anything when you want to, you won't be able to do it again for a while, she thought. People keep ending up in the hospital, getting hurt, blah blah blah. It's insane. I've thought it before and I'll think it again-- maybe Queen's Clothes is cursed!

She mentally began listing what needed to be done and what was already done. Luckily, most of the stuff on her list was already done.

Oh, wait, one more thing, she thought. Yell at Dad. Then again, Mom probably gave him one hell of a yelling at. I probably don't need to do that, at least.

She sighed and leaned against Gavin, thinking, her eyes closed.

Gavin pretended to look shocked, covering his mouth playfully with his hands

"You mean you still want to marry me!" he teased, giving Delilah a playful shove

Although he had meant it playfully, there was a serious undertone to what he had said. He was, perhaps, a little shocked that she still wanted to marry him after going through so much. He'd yelled at her and she'd yelled at him, he'd gotten her pregnant, he'd got himself plastered and into hospital. It was a miracle if she still loved him, it was also definately true love if she did

"I think we're still on for the wedding in just over a week" Gavin said with a smile, "I'll be fully recovered in a couple of days, and almost everything is done by now."

He paused, pulling Delilah's lips to his again in a long soft kiss. He then pulled away and looked down sheepishly

"Er...sorry. You said you wanted me to be more responisble and less childish...does that include kissing you...?" he asked uncomfortabely

Delilah grinned. "If kissing is childish, then I don't want to be an adult," she said, playfully poking at Gavin.

"And of course I want to marry you!" she added. "Why wouldn't I? Hell, I'm surprised that you still love me, after all the crap I did."

I yelled at him, abandoned him when he needed me... need I continue? she thought. Damn, it's a miracle that he still loves me.

"Well, then, the wedding's still on. Good. I can't wait for it!" she said. "It's a good thing we did everything in advance, huh? No last-minute dress shopping or anything like that. I think we still need to buy the flowers and stuff like that. Stuff that can't be bought early on."

Flowers. That's another thing. What kind of flowers? she thought.

Gavin chuckled and poked Delilah's stomach back, grinning down at her. He still had slight pains in his arms from where all the needles had been, but the pain was slowly subsiding: enough so that he could hug Delilah as close as he possibley could

"Well come here then!" he teased, standing up and pulled her up with him, "of course I still love you! I had alcohol poisoning, not a lobotomy!"

He placed her hands clasped around his neck and put his own arms tightly under her legs and scooped her up in his arms. Gavin then dipped Delilah backwards a little and gave her a long movie-star kiss. Once they drew apart, he kept her in his arms, unwilling to put her back down

"Are you excited about being Mrs Ruppetts?" he asked, nuzzling his nose softly against hers, "you're not getting cold feet are you?"

He asked the question worriedly, wondering whether she might have found someone else since she'd left him in the hospital. Truthfully, the thought had crossed his mind more than a few times during her absence at the hospital, if it had been the other way around he wouldn't have left Delilah's bedside. Not even if the place was up in flames. What if she'd met someone else and spent all her time with him instead? Someone better looking and younger and nicer than him? He swallowed, attempting to keep his insecurities hidden

"Of course I'm excited," Delilah said. "And of course I want to marry you. Why wouldn't I?"

She hesitated. Maybe Gavin found someone else? Trade in for a younger model? Nah. He wouldn't do that. I don't think.

"No cold feet here, honestly. You don't have to worry about that, you know. So, no more worrying about that, huh?"

Delilah smiled broadly, as though she hadn't had any insecurities or doubts. Never let them see you sweat, she reminded herself. Never.

She rested her head on Gavin's shoulder, smiling. "I really can't wait for the wedding. Honestly."

She gave him a cheerful grin, to further reassure him.

Gavin smiled, letting go of the insecurities that swamped his head. He loved Delilah and she loved him, no questions asked, no conditions, just love. There was no where he'd rather be than right beside her, no one he'd rather spend his time with. After a brief paused, he leant his head against hers, closing his eyes

"Okay, if you say I have nothing to worry about then I don't" he whispered, letting his lips tug into a broad happy smile, happier than he'd been for a long time

He looked down and lifted Delilah's chin so she met his gaze

"You're not worrying about me leaving you, are you?" he asked warily, kissing her nose gently, "you know you can always tell me anything. Truthfully...I was worried you had abandoned me in the hospital because you'd met someone else. You haven't, have you?"

Delilah lowered her head. Am I that transparent? she thought, blushing furiously. I guess he knows me really well.

"I thought you wouldn't want anything to do with me. I mean, I yelled at you and said some mean things. And then I wasn't visiting you in the hospital like I should. I thought you'd be angry and want to break things off with me. I figured you'd go find someone better, younger, better-looking, that kind of stuff," she admitted.

She glanced shyly at Gavin from beneath her lashes, still blushing. "...Yeah, stupid, huh? But I didn't go to the hospital because I was sick and didn't want to risk infecting you, not to mention that I was feeling really sick and could barely get out of bed. So, yeah... now you know."

I guess everyone has really stupid fears and insecurities, she thought, biting her lip a little.

Gavin nodded, sinking back into the sofa and ran a hand through his hair, a thing he always did when he was nervous or afraid. He cupped Delilah's chin with his other hand, attempting to smile at her even though he wasn't sure what was going on. They hadn't been getting along all that well recently, surely they weren't going to be breaking up. No, they were both just anxious about the wedding, and Delilah had been hormonal when she'd yelled at him. She didn't want to end it, she didn't..right?

"I'm not going to break things off with you darling," he reassured her, "and I don't quite want to trade you in for something better just yet! I'm in love with you, not the idea of you or the thought of you."

Gavin pursed his lips anxiously, although he wanted to grab Delilah and hold her and smother her with kisses and tell her how much he'd missed her in the few days they'd been apart. He wanted her to know he'd never ever leave her, he wanted her to know exactly what she meant to him. Why were they both so ridden with insecurity and worry?

"I don't mind that you didn't visit me," Gavin said, "well I do, but I understand that you were ill. At the time I'd thought you hated me or something."

He was finally able to smile, and he did, he smiled warmly at Delilah, letting himself be overcome with love for her. He bit his lip and playfully unbuttoned her blouse

"You so owe me though!" he teased suggestively

Delilah grinned. "I could never hate you. Ever. And soon, debts will be repaid."

An hour later...

Delilah smiled serenely and rested her head on Gavin's chest. "Do I owe you anything else?" she teased.

She stretched and yawned a little, feeling better than she had in days. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, then opened them again. She ran a finger gently over the marks on Gavin's arm left by the needles. "Ouch," she remarked, flinching a little at the sight.

She rose and hurried to the bathroom for some hydrogen peroxide to clean the wounds. She returned to Gavin and gently dabbed at his arms. "There... that way, they'll be clean and not get infected," she said softly.

Gavin smiled and let Delilah clean his arms gently, wincing a little as she touched his wounds, a deep pain soaring through them. He attempted a brave face and got into the bed, pulling Delilah under the covers with him

"No, I guess you don't owe me anything else," he said with a smile, "although you should smother me in kisses just because you love me and have missed me so much!" he teased

Gavin smiled, kissing Delilah's forehead and gently played with her hair, teasing it out and then curled it around his fingers

"You're hair's getting long now" he remarked with a happy smile, "it suits you."

"I need to get my hair cut," Delilah replied. "It feels weird if I let it get too long."

She wrapped her arms around Gavin and gently squeezed him. "You'll be fine, sweetie," she told him. "But it's better to take precautions. It wouldn't be good if you got an infection and had to go see the doctor again, right?"

Delilah sighed and rested her head on Gavin's shoulder. "By the way, I haven't been in work for a while. In fact, the only work person I've heard from is Hannah. Has Cecilia tried to contact you or anything?" she asked. "As far as everyone at QC knows, we're both dead by now. Dead or dying."

She sighed and stretched a little. "I think my sickness might have been psychosomatic, caused by my guilt about how I treated you," she mused.

Gavin smiled and snuggled against Delilah, enjoying the feeling of her arms tightly around his body and the warmth of hers against his

"I don't want to be back in that damn hospital until you're in labour," he replied with a small smile, "so you're aren't allowed to be ill at all okay!"

He chuckled and then leant down on the floor to pick up his jeans, taking his cell phone from his back pocket. As he did so the duvet moved away from him, displaying his bare behind and he laughed, shaking it a bit as he slid back into bed and close to Delilah

"Cecilia texted me earlier, do you want me to ring her now?" he asked, putting his arm around Delilah's shoulder and pulled her closer

Delilah shrugged. "Go ahead, sweetie. Call if you want," she said, toying with Gavin's hair. Call Cecilia. It doesn't matter if Cecilia wants you or how much she tries to get with you. I know you won't give in, that I'm the only woman you actually care about, she thought.

She sighed and stretched a little, snuggling closer to Gavin. "I'm not allowed to be ill?" she teased. "What if I want to have a cold? It's my body and my choice!"

She giggled and watched Gavin get his phone. "You're looking good for a man whose spent the last few days in the hospital," she joked.

Delilah giggled and admired the view, watching him dial the phone.

Do your worst, she thought. Cecilia can say whatever she wants. But I know now that Gavin loves me and won't leave me.

Gavin chuckled, sticking his tongue out at Delilah as she made comments about his body, shaking his butt again. He smiled and nuzzled into her neck, nibbling at the soft skin under her ear and buried his face in her hair affectionately

"I'll ring her later," he laughed, chucking the phone to the floor and pulled Delilah towards him, sliding down in the bed and laughed loudly

His arms were hurting him, but he ignored the pain, instead concentrating purely on Delilah and letting himself drown in the love they shared. It was like a fairy tale, and they were going to live happily ever after

"I'd better do some working out!" Gavin teased, flexing his muscles so his six pack rippled, "I'm getting all fat and squidgy and you'll go off me soon!"

He chuckled and picked up his cell phone again, dialling Cecilia's number and waited for her to answer, wrapping his arms closely around Delilah

Cecilia heard her phone ringing.
She slowly walked to it and picked up.
"Cecilia Queen" she said softly, waiting for the answer of who was on the phone. She didn't check before she picked up. She then checked it and smiled.
"Oh hi Gavin. How are you? It's great to hear you can go home."
He's actually callling, never expected that.
"Do you know when you can come to work again? Things are slowing down a little, we need to work really hard."
She walked a little around the room and placed the eggs she made on a plate, which she gave to Micheal.

Delilah giggled and playfully poked Gavin's stomach. "You're neither fat nor squishy," she reassured him, watching him.

All mine, she thought. Sure, he has other friends, but I'm the only one he loves.

She wrapped her arms around him, snuggling close, while he talked on the phone. Ahh, he's so warm, she thought happily, closing her eyes. I really missed him. Really missed all this.

She sighed happily, content. Life is good. I just hope it lasts.

"Love you," she mouthed, smiling. This is why it's good to be alive.

Delilah laid back and relaxed, glad for once to not have her brain buzzing with ideas.

Gavin smiled down at Delilah, holding his cell phone to his ear with one hand as the other held her close to him

"Oh hi Gavin. How are you? It's great to hear you can go home. Do you know when you can come to work again? Things are slowing down a little, we need to work really hard." Cecilia said

He rubbed his arms a little, attempting to numb the pain as he listened to Cecilia, watching Delilah lay back as he did so

"Love you too," he mouthed back to her, taking the phone away from his ear briefly to plant his lips against her neck, nuzzling into her

Gavin sat in the bed and pulled Delilah behind him so her legs were either side of his body,

"I could use a massage!" he teased, shrugging his bare shoulders

He then turned his attention back to Cecilia

"Yea, it was awful being in the hospital," he replied, "nothing to do and nowhere to go. Thanks for coming in and visiting me though. I'll probably be back into work sometime soon, although Delilah and I will be going on our honeymoon in just over a week."

she sighed and took a bite of her own eggs.
"We're going to do a fashion show next week.

We're already all over FashionTV and this will even improve it more."
"I'm really excited for the Fashion Show. The fall collection is so pretty."

Delilah rubbed Gavin's back, listening to the conversation. So far, so good, she thought, smiling to herself. She applied more pressure to his shoulders, noting how tense they were.

She smiled to herself, hearing him talk about them going on a honeymood. Our honeymoon, she thought, blushing a little. She was glad that Gavin could not see the huge grin on her face.

Delilah affectionately nuzzled Gavin's neck, humming a little to herself. She knew that when he got off the phone, he would tease her relentlessly.

We'll have so much fun on our honeymoon, spending time with each other without anyone to bother us. It'll be great! she thought delightedly. And we can take lots of pictures and buy stuff for our friends and all that other great stuff!

Gavin smiled and wriggled as Delilah nuzzled into his neck, grinning to himself as he tried to listen to what Cecilia was saying. He couldn't help but feel tempted to chuck the cell phone out of the window and pounce on Delilah, but he managed to contain himself, telling himself to be mature

"Then when is the wedding?" Cecilia asked

Gavin hesitated, not sure whether to tell her when it was or not, as he was positive Delilah did not want her showing up and ruining it all.

"Er...it's next week," he said finally, smiling to himself, "but I'm sure the company can get along fine without me. If you have any trouble then you can always call me."

He smiled and let himself think about their honeymoon, knowing he wasn't going to switch his cell phone on at all. They had the huge honeymoon suite of a luxurious 5 star hotel in a tranquil little beach area of Hawaii. He was going to drown Delilah in love and presents, and never let go of her, just enjoying the time they'd spend together alone for once. Gavin turned to Delilah and held his arms out to her, wanting to hold her close

"I won't call. How long will you be on the honeymoon?
Because i'm afraid that I might get the worst state of sickness with my pregnancy soon."
She placed the dishes in the washing machine and then walked over to the nursery where the two beds still stood, waiting for the twins.
"I might come over to the hospital today or something to visit you before you take off to whatever land you may go to.
I mean, are you sure you can go to work soon? Whatever choice you make, beware, i'm coming. Hehe."

She pressed some of the buttons on the machine and it started working. Micheal was just looking at her with a weird face of misunderstanding. Cecilia giggled and nodded at him, to tell him that there was nothing wrong.

Delilah grinned and embraced Gavin tightly. She couldn't wait for him to get off the phone and spend more time with her. She pressed her lips against the back of his neck, then playfully nipped at him.

She wrapped her arms tightly around him, pressing her lips to his neck and back. Come on, sweetie... Cecilia doesn't need to talk to you that long, does she?

After having Gavin in the hospital for so long, she really missed him and wanted to spend time with him.

Gavin laughed as Delilah kissed his neck and back, wriggling a little out of pleasure. He wanted, more than anything, to throw his arms around her and never stop kissing her; to disappear under the covers with her and never come out again.

"I might come over to the hospital today or something to visit you before you take off to whatever land you may go to.
I mean, are you sure you can go to work soon? Whatever choice you make, beware, i'm coming. Hehe." Cecilia said

Gavin chuckled to himself, imagining Cecilia going into the hospital and asking for him and being told he wasn't there. She'd feel stupid and embarrased, and he couldn't quite let her do that

"Er C, I'm out of the hospital. I'm at my home right now and taking a few days rest. I'm still not allowed to drive," he replied, watching Delilah try to get his attention and succeeded

Gavin winked at Delilah as she whispered to him, and he pressed his lips softly against hers, pulling away and held up a hand to show he'd be finished soon

"One minute," he whispered to her with a grin on his face, "in the meantime start preparing yourself for the most love you'll ever get," he teased

"You're not home" she said.
"You're still there and I'm just not allowed in there like before. I'm not stupid Gavin." she said, laughing a little, but also sighing.
"I'm coming, and I'll see what they say and what I will do against it. And you know what? If you're really home, I'll just come visit you at home then."
she opened one of the doors in her appartment and walked on the roof. Her roof. She could even put a pool in it if she wanted.

"Come on Gav, we're friends." she sat down on a bench and looked at the view, she could see the hospital and wondererd on which side he was.

Delilah giggled and playfully tickled Gavin. "Don't take too long," she whispered.

She hugged Gavin, leaning against him, waiting. Her ears strained to pick up strains of Cecilia's voice, but she couldn't catch more than a word or two. Just as well, she thought, seeing as how I rarely seem to like anything she has to say.

She toyed with Gavin's hair, occasionally giving a lock of hair a gentle, playful tug. She was impatient, but she did her best to wait. Good things come to those who wait, right? she thought. But then again, the early bird gets the worm.

She watched him closely, observing his reactions. Don't let her try to talk you into letting her visit. This is our time to spensd together, while you recover, she thought.

Gavin tried in vain not to laugh as Delilah tickled him, batting her hands away with a chuckle and stuck his tongue out at her, turning his attention back to his cell phone. It was ironic that Cecilia didn't believe him about him being home, ironic that it could have been a good way to stop her visiting the hospital. Still, Delilah wouldn't exactly be thrilled with her barging in on them at home either

"I really am at home C," Gavin laughed, tracing his fingers down Delilah's neck and across her bare chest, "I left the hospital this morning."

He grinned at Delilah who was clearly getting impatient, and he chuckled

"Er got to go Cecilia. Er...kettle's just boiled!" he lied

Gavin hung up the phone and dropped it to the floor, grabbing Delilah and pulled her on top of him, kissing her passionately

"Yeah right." she said. Still looking at the view.
"If Delilah doesn't want something he shouldn't want it either. It's like he's her slave dammit."
She walked back into her appartment and saw that Micheal had left to do some 'shopping'. She sat down on the couch and started watching some tv. Since there wasn't really anything else to do.
Micheal being here is so weird, and I even have to care for him. Hmm..
She then started singing with a song on tv. Dancing around the room and standing on the tables.

"Kettle, eh?" Delilah teased. "What, does that mean you're the stove?"

About forty-five minutes later...

"So," Delilah said, "what did Cecilia say? Did she think you were lying about being at home? I say, let her find out for herself. Let her go to the hospital and look stupid. It's not your fault-- you were being honest. And if she thinks she's going to barge into our home and bother us, she's got another thing coming!"

She sighed and rolled over. "Oh, and you better get in touch with Hannah, while I'm thinking about it. She called asking about you the other day. Not sure if I mentioned that or not, but, yeah."

She laughed a little and playfully tickled Gavin. "What, are you trying to make up for lost time? Or are you taking advantage of the fact that I can't get pregnant now?"

Gavin laughed and rolled closer to Delilah, slinging an arm protectively around her and smiled into her eyes. He bent his head and kissed her lips gently, pulling away with a huge grin on his face and he shook her hair from his eyes, unable to take his eyes off his beautiful fiance.

"Do you want me to ring people just so you can tempt me off the phone?" he teased, wondering whether to call Hannah or not, but decided against it. This was their time together and he didn't want to spoil things

Gavin chuckled and tickled Delilah again, pulling her closer to him and he rested a hand on her stomach, cradelling their unborn baby as he met her gaze with a warm smile. He just couldn't stop smiling, his face was about to burst

"I'm making up for lost time and enjoying that you can't get pregnant," he teased, "but actually that last time was your idea! Technically you're the one who can't keep their hands off me! Honestly two minutes on the phone and you're begging for me!"

Gavin giggled to himself and stroked Delilah's back, moving a hand onto her *ss

"Admit it!" he whispered seductively, "you can't go a minute without my loving!"

Delilah giggled and snuggled closer to Gavin. "Hey, I've been going through a withdrawl! You've been in the hospital!" she pouted. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, squeezing gently.

"Besides," she continued, "you can't keep your hands off me either. Not that I'm complaining."

She giggled and stroked his hair. "Call Hannah. I won't interrupt," she promised.

Delilah pulled away from him, as if to prove she wasn't lying. She grinned broadly at him. "I can behave for short periods of time."

She toyed with his hair, watching him. "See? I'm behaving. Sort of." She giggled and handed him his phone. "Call. Before I stop behaving. Do it."

Delilah smirked a little, still watching Gavin.

Gavin smiled cheekily and stuck his tongue out at Delilah again. He took the cell phone from her and dialled Hannah's number, and sat up in the bed holding a hand out to Delilah with a grin

"Come here," he insisted, winking at her

He pulled Delilah onto his lap, drawing the covers away so he had full view of her and he wrapped his arms around her stomach, chuckling to himself

"You could have come visited me in hospital!" he teased as he waited for Hannah to pick up, "you were the one that abandoned me! What was I supposed to do! Actually that young blonde nurse was pretty good in bed..."

Gavin giggled and rested his other hand on Delilah's stomach, on the place where she was growing their little baby. Unsure whether the call would go straight to machine, he left Hannah a message

"Hi Hannah. I'm out of hospital and Delilah said you were calling for me? I'll probably be in to work later this week, having a bit of recovery time. Call me when you get this message, I'm at home."

Delilah stroked Gavin's hair and watched him on the phone. All mine, she thought, pleased. What's there not to love about this man? He's good looking, funny, pretty intelligent, and overall just a great guy. She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, looking pleased.

She put her head near the phone, trying to listen for Hannah's voice. She sighed and relaxed. This is nice. Very comfortable. Why can't things always be like this?

She sighed and stretched. Niiiiiiice. Ummm... Gavin sure does look good, she thought, admiring him. Ah, no, Dee. Mind out of the gutter.

Delilah stared at Gavin and ran a fingertip over his face. "Love you," she mouthed.

I am not letting him get away from me anymore. I don't think I could live without him, she thought.

Gavin sighed as he figured Hannah was probably out somewhere. She'd ring him back when she got the message, he presumed. As Delilah gently stroked his face he smiled at her and bent his head to softly nibble her ear

"Anyway, call me when you can," he added and then hung up the phone

He took the phone away from his ear, and silently just looked at Delilah for a few minutes. He couldn't believe how lucky he was: a gorgeous woman with an amazing personality, and only had eyes for him. Gavin smiled to himself and cocked his head to the side, looking at Delilah adoringly

"Hey gorgeous" he said, resting his head on hers, "you look amazing."

Gavin smiled happily, every mushy love song he'd ever heard playing in his head

She just saw him through the window.

She ringed the bell and waited for someone to answer, hoping it wasn't Deliliah who would answer the door.
She kept herself from standing still because it was just too cold to be true.
"Come on... it's cold." she whispered, hoping someone would come soon.

Hannah had been out meeting with a new designer for lunch and when she returned to her desk she saw she had a message

"Hi Hannah. I'm out of hospital and Delilah said you were calling for me? I'll probably be in to work later this week, having a bit of recovery time. Call me when you get this message, I'm at home. Anyway, call me when you can"

Hannah sighed. When was the last time that man did any work? All he seems to do is create extra work for the rest of us Hannah thought angrily. She picked up her phone and rang Gavins phone

"Hi Gavin, it's Hannah I was just calling you before to see if you wanted to be involved in the planning of the fashion show, but obviously your wedding is more important to you. Anyway I'm sure me and Cecilia will survive"

While talking Hannah was also typing a email to Cecilia

"Hi C, We need to discuss more about the fashion show, when shall we meet up? Hannah

Gavin looked up from the tickle fight he was having with Delilah, as his cell phone rang loudly from the floor. Pulling a face and snickering to himself, he bent down again to pick it up, displaying his bare butt again and shook it with a flourish, winking at Delilah

"Hello?" he answered it and groaned on hearing Hannah's annoyed tone

He pulled funny faces at Delilah as he listened, holding out his hand to draw her closer to him, planting a kiss on her neck and started to nibble at her. Gavin spanked her butt playfully and then turned his attention back to his cell phone

"Hi Gavin, it's Hannah I was just calling you before to see if you wanted to be involved in the planning of the fashion show, but obviously your wedding is more important to you. Anyway I'm sure me and Cecilia will survive"

He scowled, sensing she was angry at him and he coughed slightly to himself

"Look Hannah I'm sorry but I have been in hospital. I'll be in work as soon as I can, I promise. I'm just a bit busy at the moment..." he replied

As he spoke he stuck out his tongue at Delilah and tickled her stomach playfully, admiring her body with a chuckle. Yea he was busy, busy spending time with his fantastic fiance

"I'd love to help with the planning of the fashion show, what do you want me to do?" Gavin continued, trying to keep concentrating on Hannah, "I go on my honeymoon in a couple of weeks though, Hawaii --can't wait!"

Delilah giggled and playfully poked at Gavin's stomach, occasionally tickling him. She made lots of goofy faces at him as well, sticking her tongue out at him. She messed up his hair even more, knowing he couldn't do anything about it, and she briefly giggled.

She watched him talk on the phone to Hannah. She probably thinks we waste time, make for more work, but really... is there actually that much work being dones at QC? she thought. It seems like no one actually does any real work. When was the last time someone actually filed papers or did actual modeling or created a new outfit?

Delilah kissed Gavin's cheek and neck. Ah, better behave. I promised, she reminded herself, withdrawing from him. She eased herself a short distance away and quietly watched him, admiring everything about him. Perfection, she thought, smiling softly.

Gavin smiled as Delilah tickled him, batting her away as she kissed his neck and shoulders. After a moment she backed away and just watched him, making him feel self conscious --was she picking out his faults? His attention was madly spun back to the end of his cell phone as Hannah's angry voice stormed through

"Yeah well that's great, but me and Cecilia are going to have a meeting soon and your welcome to join us at that because obviously your not actually going to be able to be there at the fashion show, even though you are co owner. Well Gavin lot's of work to do. Bye"

He slowly took the phone away from his ear, shocked and annoyed by Hannah's words. Nobody at the company really did any work anyway: and she thought she could waltz in and within weeks of working there try and take over everything. Hah, he didn't want to go to a meeting with her and Cecilia anyway, spending his honeymoon with Delilah sounded far more appealing

"Whoops, looks like I'm public enemy number one!" Gavin teased as he placed his cell phone down on the night stand beside the bed

He leant over and cupped Delilah's face in one hand, planting a kiss on her cheek before he pulled away again and sat in the middle of the bed. Gavin silently admired Delilah, watching the way her chest would rise and fall gently with every breath, the way her stomach was starting to get rounded from the coming baby, and the way her hair flicked to the side when she had spent the afternoon in bed

"Come here," he demanded softly, opening his arms to her, "stop sticking your tongue out at me and put it to some 'good' use!"

Delilah grinned broadly at Gavin. "If you insist," she teased, giving him a long, passionate kiss.

"So, what did Hannah say?" she asked, tilting her head inquisitively. "It sounded like she was pretty ticked at you. Is it my fault? I hope not." She bit her lip, looking guilty, and snuggled closer to Gavin, trying to take in more of his warmth. She peered down at herself. Hmm... looks like I'm putting on a little weight. But, eh, what do you expect? I'm pregnant.

She shrugged a little and peeked up at Gavin, trying to gauge his reaction. Had the conversation with Hannah really been that bad? she wondered. I'm not sure... but it seems like it was pretty bad.

Gavin shrugged and attempted a smile, reminding himself he was in the arms of the most beautiful girl in the world and he needed to cheer up. He was one of the luckiest guys out there, having the love of someone so special.

"She said I need to get more work done basically!" he replied eventually, running a hand through his messed up hair, "says I care more about the wedding than I do about my job."

Gavin gave Delilah a kiss on the forehead and then climbed out of the bed, pacing the room for a moment before realising he wasn't wearing anything. He turned a shade of pink and snatched up a towel from the bathroom, side stepping into the doorway

"My hair's a mess and I feel dirty from the hospital, want to share a soak in the tub?" he asked Delilah, a little cheeky grin appearing on his face

Walking into the bathroom, he switched on the taps and ran warm water into the tub, pouring in a load of bubbles

Delilah watched Gavin pace, smirking a little when she saw him blush. So it is possible for him to blush, she mused, trying not to giggle. He was absolutely adorable when he was embarrassed.

"My hair's a mess and I feel dirty from the hospital, want to share a soak in the tub?" he asked Delilah, a little cheeky grin appearing on his face.

"Sure, I could use a bath too," Delilah agreed, following Gavin to the bathroom. She watched him head to the bathroom and fill the tub with water and bubbles. "Lookin' good," she teased.

She climbed into the tub and pulled her legs close to her, making sure to leave lots of room for Gavin. She watched him closely, waiting for him to step in the tub.

"Come join me," she said, grinning broadly.

Gavin stuck his tongue out at Delilah as she teased him, hiding his body away from her behind a towel. He grinned as she climbed into the bath, making it obvious he was checking her out and he raised and eyebrow, letting out a low whistle as he admired her body

"If I'm looking good then you're looking great!" he teased, slipping off the towel

Feeling naughty, he flexed his muscles and posed a little for her, grinning to himself before he climbed into the tub beside her

"I'll gladly join you!" Gavin joked, putting his legs either side of Delilah's body and shuffled into the warm water, shrugging it over his torso

"I really do need to work out though!" he added, examining his perfectly toned stomach, "my six pack has practically disappeared!"

Delilah stared at Gavin. He thinks he needs to work out? But he looks incredible! He's already in perfect shape! Out loud, she said, "But you're already in good shape. And you're imagining it disappearing, sweetie." Her fingers lightly traced his stomach, tickling slightly.

She stroked his hair with her wet fingers, leaving darker streaks where her fingers touched his hair. Playfully, she gave him Eskimo kisses and murmured, "Hey, handsome. I bet you missed taking baths with me while you were in the hospital, eh?"

She winked and tickled his sides, giggling. "You are so adorable, do you know that? I really missed spending time with you. At least we'll be able to spend lots of time together on our honeymoon... and no one will bother us then!"

Gavin smiled and tickled Delilah's stomach playfully, working his hands round to her back and pulled her closer towards him, making the water pulse forwards. He smiled again, running his hands through her hair, sticking it up on end and then giggled, admiring her again

"As long as you think I'm gorgeous that's all I need!" he replied, tickling her again, "and yes I missed this so much in hospital! I bet you did too though!"

Gavin turned Delilah around and pulled her close to him, resting her back on his chest and wrapped his legs tightly around her, clasping his hands loosely together around her front. Unable to stop the smile on his face, he sighed happily, closing his eyes for a moment

"I'm not the adorable one!" he laughed, "you are! You're my gorgeous little Delilah and I couldn't love you any more than I do!"

He smiled to himself, running his hands onto her hips and tickled her again under the water, making her squirm

"Are you excited about marrying me?" Gavin asked curiously, beginning to massage her shoulders, "I can't wait for our honeymoon, just you and me and all the time in the world together!"

Delilah sighed and relaxed, letting Gavin rub her shoulders. Ummm... he's so good at this. It feels really nice, she thought, smiling. She closed her eyes and leaned forward a little.

"Of course I'm excited about marrying you, sweetheart," she reassured him. "We're going to have so much fun together." She grinned a little, imagining the kind of fun they'd have. Eek, get your mind out the gutter, Dee, she scolded herself. Lots of time for that later.

Delilah leaned against Gavin, smiling up at him. "My sweetheart... my love..." Here, she changed her voice to sound more creepy. "My precious!"

She giggled loudly and grinned at Gavin. "Sorry, but I couldn't resist," she said, tickling him. She pressed her lips softly against his forehead. "I can't say this enough-- you are absolutely amazing. You're attractive, sweet, funny, treat me well, have a pretty good head on your shoulders. You're quite the catch. And yet, you picked freaky rock music-loving Delilah Stanton. Bet lots of people from your high school would go, 'WTF,' right?"

Gavin pretended to shake at Delilah's attempt at a creepy voice, giggling to himself. He applied more pressure to his hands that were rubbing her shoulders, moving his head down to softly bite her shoulder

"You're my precious!" he teased in an equally creepy voice, "must have the precious!"

He lifted his head back up and laughed happily, sliding down further in the bathtub with Delilah in his arms, letting the bubbly water soak over them. He hadn't felt so good in a long time, even though he appeared to be hated at work at the moment, even though his wedding might jeapordize his future.

"You think far too highly off me and too lowly of yourself!" he said with a laugh, "there's no way I'm quite a catch! Although you forgot rich too!"

He smiled and poked Delilah softly in the ribs, "but yea, I guess people at high school expected me to become President and marry a Marilyn Monroe. You're way better than any film star though, and I love you because of you!"

Gavin let out a little chuckle again, "and people from your high school would be shocked you marrying a guy like me right? I havent got long dark hair and wear dark clothes and have hundreds of peircings!"

Delilah giggled. "Knowing my high school friends, they'd be like, 'Oh my God, Dee, you married a prep! What's wrong with you? And... and... why don't you go out and party anymore? Why don't you smoke or drink or any of that cool stuff like you used to?'" She grinned. "One thing that can be said for sure, you've had a good influence on my health."

Delilah thought a moment and then laughed and said, "Wait, something else my old friends would say, 'Holy crap, Dee, you're pregnant? But I thought you didn't want kids, that they tied you down and stuff! What is wrong with you? Kids are annoying and messy!'" She rolled her eyes. "What a surprise-- party-loving rocker girl turns into a contributing member of society and ends up being a wife and mother. Who'd have guessed?"

She sighed and wrapped her arms around Gavin. "I guess everyone expected me to end up becoming a roadie or groupie or married to some rock star or something. Instead, I ended up with a totally gorgeous businessman who has more money than he knows what to do with. I think they underestimated me, to be honest." She laughed a little. "And I think highly of you because you're an incredible man. Why shouldn't I think well of you?"

Gavin laughed at Delilah's impressions of her high school friends, wondering if there was some truth in what she was saying. She was a fun-loving party girl, soon to be tied down to a money-making businessman who hadn't had a proper functioning relationship in two years: how could she ever be satisfied with him? His friends at the moment would think it was strange he was having a relationship that lasted longer than a bottle of wine and a romp in bed

"So, have your opinions changed yet?" he asked curiously, "still don't want to be a mom? Are you happy with such a boring guy like me?"

He laughed a little, tightening his arms that were around Delilah, stroking her entire body softly. She trembled a little as his hands touched her soft skin and he smiled, nuzzling his head against her neck

"You're na incredible girl, do you know that? Absolutely incredible!" he whispered

Delilah stroked Gavin's hair. He's insecure, poor thing, she thought sympathetically. I can relate.

"Of course I want to be a mom," she said soothingly, "and you're not boring, and I'm very happy with you. I wouldn't change a thing. Ever. It's just that people wouldn't have ever expected me to choose the route that I did. I'm glad that I did, though, because I've never been as happy as I've been with you."

She stroked Gavin's hair, comforting him. "I love you, darling," she murmured. "I never want to leave you, ever. So don't ever think I'm unhappy with being with you."

She sighed, stretching a little and letting the warm water cover more of her body. This is nice, she thought. A lot of problems could be solved by soaking in the tub and just talking. She smiled softly and gently squeezed Gavin's hands. All I've ever wanted out of life was happiness and now, that's what I have, she realized, pleased.

Gavin smiled, following Delilah's lead and sank further down the tub, letting the warm water and her soothing words melt away his insecurities. Stroking Delilah's stomach softly, he sighed, loving the touch of her skin, and just the feeling that she was chosing to be there beside him. She wanted to be here, and that thought alone was enough to make him soar

"You'd better not be unhappy with me!" he teased light-heartedly, "I'm going to shower you with gifts and love until you won't know what to do!"

Gavin chuckled and bent his head to plant a kiss on Delilah's forehead. Moments later her pulled on her arms, turning her around to face him and smiled into her eyes

"I think I'm getting withdrawel symptoms already. I need more lipstick therapy!" he whispered softly

Leaning forwards, he kissed Delilah's lips very gently, hanging his lips near hers and let them move into a smile

"Want some champagne?" he asked

Delilah kissed Gavin passionately and clung to him. Champagne? she thought. Sounds nice, except... well... it might hurt the baby. Plus, last time I drank alcohol, I ended up in the hospital.

She bit her lip and said hesitantly, "Champagne sounds nice, Gavin, but I'm pregnant now. I don't think I should risk anything. Besides, you remember the last time I drank alcohol..."

The hospital. The crazy doctors. The weird experiments. Having to run out of the hospital in a tattered hospital gown... she thought, cringing a little.

"Sorry, sweetie," she murmured, hugging him. "But better safe than sorry, right? Besides, you just got out of the hospital because of alcohol-related stuff, remember? I don't want either of us to go through that again." She shuddered again, remembering how horrible Gavin looked, hooked up to all those machines. My poor sweetie... I hope he never goes through that again! she thought.

Gavin smiled happily and leant back in to kiss Delilah again, stroking her neck with his hands softly

"Okay, no champagne. I just want this to be romantic" he said after a moment, considering what else he could do.

He let go of Delilah and climbed out of the bath, "don't look!" he commanded as he wasn't wearing anything, and walked about the bathroom lighting every candle he could find. He then switched the lights off and got back in the tub

"There, that makes it slightly more romantic. You and I haven't had any of this really have we? No proper dates, no romantic holidays. No romantic gesutre when I proposed. I'm guessing you're not much of a romantic then?" he teased, pulling her back in for another long kiss

Delilah giggled. "I am so a romantic," she replied, playfully poking Gavin in the chest. "You're the one who proposed and all that junk. And most of our... ahem... interactions... took place at QC anyways because someone couldn't keep his hands off of me," she teased. She giggled and hugged Gavin. "Seriously, though, I like the candle idea. Very nice."

She sat back, relaxing and just enjoying her time with Gavin. This really is nice, she thought. None of the other guys I dated ever did this for me, no matter how nice and romantic they claimed to be. Life sure can be funny like that, huh?

Delilah caressed Gavin's face gently. I love you, she thought, and I promise never to leave you, ever, no matter what troubles come our way, because we belong to each other and need to give each other love and protection. As long as we are together, I do my best to take care of you and make sure nothing happens to you.

((And now I have to go for a bit, but I'll be back in about an hour or so.))

Gavin laughed and poked Delilah back, giggling as he remembered fondly their 'romps' together at Queens Clothes. Maybe he couldn't keep his hands off her, but then again, she was having trouble in the same area too no doubt. He smiled, slipping both arms around Delilah and closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying being with her

"So, you like the romantic stuff!" he whispered, gently kissing her ear, "wait till our honeymoon. Rose petals and candles and music, all that kind of stuff!"

He relaxed and moved his lips down across her face until they met hers, kissing her softly and deeply and then pulled away, sighing happily as his arms tightened his hold of her

"I'll look after you darling. Nothing is ever going to come between us and no one and nothing is ever going to take me away from you," he whispered, not really sure whether she could hear him or not

The doorbell suddenly rang and Gavin sat up instantly. Who was that? He slowly climbed out of the tub, pulling a face at Delilah. Wrapping a blue towel around his waist, he ran down the stairs and opened the door hesitantly, coming face to face with Cecilia

"Oh...hi" he said awkwardly, feeling his cheeks turning pink as he was very aware he was only wearing a towel, "what are you doing here?"

"I told you I was going to visit you." Cecilia said, slightly smiling and not even noticing the towel.
"It's not the right time I guess" she laughed. "I also wanted to give you this." she opened her bag and took out a big envelope.
"It's your salary of this month with some extra for your honeymoon." she smiled and gave it to him.
"Don't stay away too long, ok?" she said, looking at the ground.
"It wouldn't be good, I mean, Hannah and I would be able to handle things but we also need your point of view. Not only because you're one of the co-owners but also because you can look at thing with a men's eye." she looked around, it was quite cold and wondered how could Gavin would be.

Delilah stepped out of the tub and wrapped a large red towel around herself and then scrubbed at her hair with another towel. She draped it over her shoulders to catch the drips from her hair. She rubbed away a clear spot in the mirror to get a good look at herself. Yes, it was clear, her face was already growing a little plumper. Wow, I'm already showing signs of being pregnant, she thought, amazed.

To her astonishment, she could hear faint strains of Cecilia's voice coming from the living room. She frowned slightly, displeased. Always... always... she thought. No, Dee, calm yourself, she instructed herself.

She tiptoed closer until she was peeking into the living room, watching Gavin and Cecilia talk. Calm yourself, she reminded herself. Gavin loves you. Not Cecilia. You. And he doesn't feel anything but friendship towards her. No need to be jealous.

Gavin smiled nervously, desperately wanting to run inside and hide under the sofa, or at least have something to cover himself with. He didn't want a girl that wasn't his girlfriend who frequently proclaimed she loved him, seeing him in nothing but a towel. He actually didn't want anyone but Delilah seeing him in just a towel

"Oh thanks," he said happily, taken the envelope from Cecilia, "you didn't need to give me any extra! How much is there in here anyway?"

He opened it and glanced it, astonished by the amount and he smiled at Cecilia

"Erm, I'd invite you in but it's not a great time right now," he said worriedly, glancing back upstairs in case Delilah came down wearing not much too. That wouldn't be a great impression to his boss, "would you like to come in though?" he asked

Gavin opened the door a little wider, smiling a little awkwardly at Cecilia as he held on tightly to his towel with his other hand. He could feel a sweat starting to appear on his forehead, and his muscles in his stomach tightened anxiously. Looking over he noticed Delilah croutching behind the door and he raised his eyebrows nervously at her, for she also was wearing nothing but a towel. He attempted to signal to her to go back upstairs, trying not to alert Cecilia of her presence

"Erm, I'd invite you in but it's not a great time right now," he said worriedly, glancing back upstairs in case Delilah came down wearing not much too. That wouldn't be a great impression to his boss, "would you like to come in though?" he asked

"Sure, thanks. You should put something on" she laughed. "It's really cold."

She slowly walked in, the house was really nice and the furniture was really well picked, it reminded her of her old house. Good old times, but also quite annoying since her mother and father lived there with her, she was glad she moved out to her large penthouse.

"I like your furniture" she said. "It's really well picked." Delilah probably picked it, not that I care, it's still well picked.

Delilah shook her head at Gavin, frowning. This is our house, she thought. We have the right to walk around in towels if we so choose. If Cecilia has a problem with me doing that in the privacy of my own home, then tough!

She did not budge an inch, but merely remained in place, watching. Had to come by while we were spending time together, she thought. The man's been in the hospital and just came home. He doesn't need visitors, especially Cecilia, coming over.

She scowled a little. Isn't that always how it is? Always? she thought. She didn't want to have to deal with the stress of visitors and Cecilia and all that junk. She just wanted to have a nice, relaxing soak in the tub with Gavin. Was that so much to ask for? Apparently, the universe thought otherwise. Bite me, universe, Delilah thought bitterly.

Gavin nodded and followed Cecilia into the lounge, turning his head to look at Delilah who, unsurprisingly, looked angry. He shrugged his shoulders, trying to think of a way to get rid of her, wanting more than anything just to get back into the tub with Delilah and spend all his time with her. However, it was nice of Cecilia to come and visit him, even though she always seemed to pick the wrong times

"Want something to drink?" he asked Cecilia pausing in the doorway and covered up his body with his arms

He did wait for an answer and quietly excused himself, claiming he needed to get dressed and hurried into the hallway to see Delilah

"What do I do?" he asked her, taking her hand and dragging her up the stairs. He changed into a pair of loose jeans and white top and hovered at the top of the stairs, shrugging his shoulders again. "Please come down and sit with me," he begged Delilah, unknowing what to do, "please."

He gave her a pleading look and then returned to the lounge, snatching up a bottle of open champagne at the same time and poured Cecilia a drink, handing it to her as he walked back into the room

Do this. Do that, Delilah thought angrily. Damn it, Gavin, I thought this was our time together, not 'entertain Cecilia, who showed up uninvited' time.

Furious, she yanked on a sweater and jeans, pulling the zipper up so hard, she feared it would rip from the fabric. This is so freaking ridiculous! she thought, quickly combing her hair.

She stormed down to the living room and flopped down onto a couch, glaring. Right now, I don't know who I'm more irritated at-- Gavin or Cecilia! she thought. And now, what's this-- she's drinking champagne? Gavin, why the hell are you wasting it on her? What's wrong with you? I love you, but damn it, I am not going to be a doormat and just sit here, smiling like a good little hostess and pretend nothing's wrong. You, my dear, have problems.

She scowled, refusing to speak, least she verbalize her bitter thoughts.

She smiled as she got her drink.

"Thank you" she sipped the drink and crossed her legs, like she always did. "What sort of champagne is this? I love it."

I'm not even thinking about jumping on him. Hey, I have improved alot.

"Oh, there's also a card in the envelope. I bought this really awesome watch and this beautiful necklace. I decieded to just give you the card so you can pick up the watch and the necklace whenever you wanted. See it as my wedding present."

She smiled softly, this was probably how it's supposed to be.

Gavin gulped seeing how angry Delilah was, not even daring to look her in the eye. He thought she knew that he didn't handle social situations well, he didn't know what to do, he just knew he wanted to be with her more than anything. He sat down on the sofa beside her and took the card from Cecilia

"You don't need to get me a wedding present," he said unexpectantly, "really, I can't accept this."

He looked across at Delilah, wondering what he was going to do. He had to get rid of Cecilia before Delilah stopped speaking to him permanently

"Er, it's not a great time at the moment," he said awkwardly, "I've just got back from the hospital and everything."

He could have said that at the door and not even let her in at all. But what did it matter anyway. She took a last sip of her champagne and stood up.

"Take the card, and do not dare to give it back" she joked, not actually trying to light up the mood.

She looked at Delilah, who had the most furious face she had ever seen.

"I'll see you in a few weeks, too bad we couldn't talk." she waved and walked to the hallway, annoyed by what just happened.

What the h*ll was wrong with Delilah. She thought. It was probably Cecilia's prescence...

Delilah watched Cecilia. Eh, maybe I'm taking things too seriously, she thought. It's not her fault. She was probably concerned about Gavin, is all. Why do I have to be so hateful and vile and jealous?

She sighed. Still, Gavin shouldn't have answered the door and all, especially while wearing a towel. Hell, even I wouldn't do something like that. Ah, calm down, Dee. No more anger. Stop with the hate and the judging. Chill. You are going to relax, go run yourself another bath, and soak until you feel better. Got it? she told herself.

Delilah bit her lip. Most women would feel less than pleased, given the situation, she thought. If you were in a relationship with a guy, and a woman showed up, a woman who'd been trying to jump his bones for months and months, and what's more, she showed up uninvited, would you feel particularly pleased? She shook her head. I'm trying to rationalize my actions. Very stupid idea. I'm trying to make myself out to be the good guy, even though I know I'm as much to blame as anyone else.

Gavin's head spun between Cecilia and Delilah, not sure what to do. He followed Cecilia out of the lounge and into the hallway, opening the front door for her and smiled apologetically at her, feeling the cold again from the wind

"Maybe we can talk some other time. Next time call first though, yes?" he said with a vague smile

Yea call! Make sure I'm not cosied up in the bathtub with Delilah and not wanting to get out! He shrugged to himself, turning back to Delilah and smiled at her, hoping she wasn't going to be angry. Afterall, it wasn't like he'd made out with Cecilia, or deliberately asked her to come and interupt them. No! He was just as frustrated as being interupted as she was!

"Are you okay?" he asked Delilah, hoping she wasn't going to snap at him like she had at the hospital. He guessed it was because of her pregnancy, making her a little hormonal and aggressive: especially with him who couldn't seem to do anything right: no matter how much he yearned to please her

"I already told you I was going to visit you" she said. "It doesn't matter if I call. If people don't want me here then I'll just stay away. It's not like I forced you to invite me in."

She sighed and took her coat.

"Have fun on your honeymoon" she murmed as she walked out of the house.

She looked back once, because when she left they'd probably be making out a second after she turned around. It hurt her, alot. And even when she was able to control herself and was so nice to give the 'fairy-tale happy' couple a present, but they didn't appreaciate it.

Delilah sighed, trying to keep calm. "Gavin," she said slowly, "if someone comes by at an inconvenient time, you either don't answer the door, or you answer it long enough to tell them that it's not a good time. You do not invite them in and give them a glass of champagne. That would be like me answering the phone while we're fooling around and going, 'Eh? Yeah, I'm not doing anything.' Okay, that's kind of mean, and I wouldn't do that, but you get what I'm saying?"

She sighed and gave Gavin's hands a brief squeeze. "I'm going to go soak in the tub. If you want to join me, fine. If not, that's fine too. But I need to relax, because I'm in less than a great mood at the moment."

She turned and walked to the bathroom, where she ran herself another bath and stepped into the tub. Something to help me relax and forget, she thought.

Gavin watched the door close and sighed heavily, realising he hadn't handled that situation particularly well. He hadn't known what to do, not at all. He turned and watched Delilah walk up the stairs and enter the bathroom, and he paused for a moment, debating whether it would be a good idea to join her. He wanted too, of course, but he didn't want to annoy her even more: if she needed time alone then he could understand that

"Knock knock" he said softly as he tapped on the door to the bathroom

Gavin walked in and smiled at Delilah, knowing it was different from before, but it didn't have to be worse. He still loved her more than anything

"Do you want me to join you?" he asked, taking a step towards her, "I'm sorry for inviting Cecilia in. I've told you before, I'm a social failure. It comes from working my *ss off for years and not having many social situations to deal with."

Delilah peered at Gavin. "Join if you want, but don't expect conversation," she finally said. "I need quiet time to just relax and not go whacko." She closed her eyes and went back to her thoughts, leaving Gavin to make his choice.

Why is life so insane? she thought. Even if Cecilia meant no harm, the thing is, common sense tells you that if someone just got out of the hospital, chances are likely that they are not up to dealing with visitors. Yeah, she wanted to visit and see how he was and all, but still... argh. I'm mean, I know. But I don't want Gavin to get all stressed out and all right after getting out of the hospital. Which reminds me... I still need to call Mom and Dad. Maybe chew Dad out. Now Dad actually deserves a good chewing out, given what he did. Maybe I should make him pay the hospital bill too. Gavin sighed sadly, wishing Cecilia had never knocked on their door as it had ruined the moment between them. Just when he and Delilah were getting comfortable, enjoying each other's company in the romantic mood and suddenly it was all shattered. She was no longer even interested in bathing with him

"Okay darling, I'll let you relax," Gavin whispered, bending over the tub to give Delilah a small kiss on the lips, "I'll be in the bedroom if you need me."

He kissed her lips again and then left the bathroom, collapsing down on the cushy king sized bed and stripped down to his boxers. Gavin sighed, the pain in his arms was still rather great and he stretched them out, attempting to numb it unsucceedingly. Feeling tired all of a sudden, he lay back and closed his eyes, just waiting for Delilah to calm down and come back to him

Delilah sighed. Better call them up now, she thought. She picked up her phone and dialed the number. "Hey, Mom," she said.

"Dee, I haven't heard from you in a while. I've been worried sick. What's wrong? Did something happen between you and Gavin?" her mother asked.

"Kind of. Gavin just got out of the hospital."

"Really? Why?"

Delilah said bitterly, "Alcohol poisoning. Dad's fault. He could have freaking died!"

Her mother sighed. "Yes... I chewed him out till he was half-deaf, and then made him sleep on the couch since... uh... the day we found them in the bar."

Delilah's eyes widened. "Wow, really?"

"Yeah. I'm downright ticked by his actions! He almost killed our soon-to-be son-in-law!" her mother responded.

"Wow," Delilah remarked. "I was going to ask to chew him out, but I think he's been punished enough."

"Okay. Well, I'll see you soon, sweetie. Take care, and say hi to Gavin for me."

"Okay, bye, Mom," Delilah said, and then hung up.

Gavin opened his eyes and smiled on hearing Delilah speaking to her mum. Although he'd only met her once, he'd instantly liked her and knew he was going to enjoy being her son-in-law: and her dad wasn't all that bad either. The two had appeared to bond over a cold glass of beer. He climbed off the bed and walked into the bathroom, taking off his boxers and slid into the bath beside Delilah

"Changed my mind," he whispered with a small smile, "hope you don't mind. You're all I think about and I need you too much!"

He chuckled and smiled happily, stroking her damp hair with his hand and held her gaze, hoping she wasn't going to kick him in the groin and send him packing

"Sorry about Cecilia" he whispered sadly

Cecilia slowly walked through the street. She could use a little respect or a friend who really wanted to be a friend.
Not only when they were alone, but just everywhere. She looked up the window where she saw Gavin walking in.
She sighed and walked further. She would probably get home, watch tv, cook dinner, watch some more tv and go to sleep. She looked at herself and saw her stomach was a little bigger. It kind of made her smile and she continued walking.
So she didn't saw a kid on his bike who made her fall on hard stone.
She opened her eyes and saw the kid standing next to her.

"Are you alright?" the kid asked, holding his hand up to make her stand.

"I'm alright, don't worry" she answered and stood up, not taking his hand just to make sure he wouldn't fall too. She then saw the bike, which was placed against a light pole. She smiled.

"That's quite a nice bike. What's your name?"

The boy giggled. "Thank you! My name is Derek."

"Now Derek, i'm ok, and I hope I'll see you sometime ok?" she messed up his hair and walked further.

Why did she even choose to walk... it was quite far and she should have taken the cab.

Delilah brushed her lips briefly over Gavin's forehead. "...Yeah..." she said, her thoughts distant. "Yeah, I think I'm going to go to bed. You can soak if you want."

She stepped out of the tub and wrapped the towel tightly around herself. Then, she walked over to the bedroom, leaving small drops of water behind her. She put the towel aside and wrapped her bathrobe around herself, tying the sash snugly around her waist. Then, she climbed into bed and rolled over, lost in thought. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to think. Something was just out of her mind's grasp.

It's... it's all been my fault, hasn't it? she thought. There is no Queen's Clothes curse. All the problems that the company's been having... they stem from something I've done. Isn't that it?

Delilah sighed. "Yes... of course. That's the answer."

Gavin sighed as Delilah left the bathroom, and he slipped further into the water, feeling the need for a good soak. The needles and machines in the hospital still haunted him, and he needed to wash off everything he had before: to get rid of the pain in his arms and head. A couple of minutes later he got out and towelled himself dry, leaving the bathroom and grabbed a pair of boxers from his drawer

"Sleep well darling," Gavin whispered, kissing Delilah on the forehead as he tucked the covers in around her

He then left the bedroom and went down to the lounge. Taking out a blanket he made himself up a bed, using a couple of cushions for pillows and he changed into his boxers. Choosing tonight, for reason he was not quite sure, to sleep on the sofa

Cecilia woke up with a weird feeling in her stomach. She was going to be sick, she could feel it coming. She pushed the sheets of her and got out of bed. She grabbed a nice pair of clothes and got to the bathroom where she applied some make-up and did her hair. She then walked to the living room, but to her surprise, Micheal wasn't there. She suddenly smelled the scent of eggs. She smiled and hurried to the kitchen.

"Hey C" said Micheal, he turned around and gave her a plate.

"This is great, thank you." Cecilia said as she sat down and took a bite.

"I also did some shopping, do you even know what time it is?" he asked, laughing a little.

"No... why?" her look gazed to the clock. "Oh my god!" It was 1 o'clock.

I wonder what happened yesterday... she really seemed angry. Hmmm... I don't think there was a really good reason to be angry though.

She rushed to the hall, took her coat and ran to the elevator which brought her down in a record time. She ran outside to her car and drove to QC as fast as she could.

"Sorry I'm late" she said as she walked in.

The reception girl nodded and continued doing stuff on her laptop. Cecilia opened the door to her office and collapsed in her chair. She was tired of running. She booted the computer and checked her e-mail.

Hi C, We need to discuss more about the fashion show, when shall we meet up? Hannah

She smiled and replied.

Hey Hannah, yes I know, we could meet up tomorrow at 12 I think. Thank's for e-mailing me about it.

Delilah awoke. She peered silently at the clock beside the bed. I overslept, she thought. I thought I got out of that habit.

She rolled over, reaching to embrace Gavin, but found only air. She sighed sadly. Guess I shouldn't have been so angry and mean, she thought. She eased herself out of bed and dressed, frowning slightly. She brushed her teeth and carefully applied her makeup and styled her hair.

Better get my hair trimmed, she thought. She gazed at her reflection. I wonder... would I have these same relationship problems if I had gotten involved with someone else? she wondered. She shook her head to clear her mind. Better stop thinking that. Besides, the only person at QC who showed any interest in me besides Gavin was Nicolao.

Delilah shook her head. Nothing would have ever come of that anyways. And, of course, Gavin beat him up. Poor guy. I wish I could apologize to him for what happened...

Gavin had awoken early, now in the kitchen preparing breakfast in his boxers. He heard stirring in the main bedroom and smiled as he had been wondering when Delilah would wake up, presumabley she liked sleeping in. Afterall she was pregnant, and he was fine with that. Piling a plate high with home-made warm brioches and pastries, he made his way to the bedroom and opened the door

"Want breakfast?" he asked Delilah, watching her look at herself in the glass, "you look gorgeous darling."

He walked over and handed her the plate, sitting down on the bed and smiled

"Sleep well?" Gavin asked, "we'd better go in to work today before we both loose our jobs!"

She kissed Gavin's cheek. "Yeah, breakfast sounds good," she agreed, devouring the food eagerly. I didn't think I was so hungry! she thought.

"Sleep well?" Gavin asked, "we'd better go in to work today before we both loose our jobs!"

Delilah nodded. "Yeah, I did. And yeah, we really should go into work. We need the money. Besides, you have to meet with Hannah and Cecilia, right?"

She ran a hand over Gavin's hair, smiling kindly. "Sorry for my temper, sweetheart," she apologized.

Gavin smiled and slowly ate a warmed brioche as he watched Delilah eat eagerly. He chuckled and reached out to stroke her cheek, pulling gently at the ends of her hair and smiled into her eyes

"Yea I guess I'll have to meet with C and Hannah" he sighed, "although I'm sure my secretary could take notes or something!"

He smiled and walked over to Delilah, naughtily patting her behind as he moved to get ready for work. Gavin changed into a pair of tight dark jeans and white shirt, adding a loose tie for smartness and tidied his shaggy blonde hair so he looked mildly presentable

"You don't have a temper babe, I just thought I'd let you have some time on your own as you seemed stressed. I think we both were," he admitted, running a brush through his hair as he studied Delilah happily

Cecilia relaxed back in her chair and wondered what her twins would look like. If she knew who the father was she could actually imagine it, but it was so hard.

"Miss Queen, This woman who ordered this exclusive dress is here." she heard. It was the intercom.

"Right, the dress is at the designers office." Cecilia answered.

"Ok, I'll make someone get it now."

She sighed and walked around in her room. There wasn't much work to do since QC wasn't exactly at it's best state. They had to work hard to make QC go to the top again, and the fashion show was going to do that for the company.

Delilah admired Gavin. "You're forgetting, gorgeous, I'm your secretary," she said, grinning. She playfully tugged at Gavin's tie and kissed him affectionately. "You look good, babe," she added, admiring the view.

Nobody and nothing will ever separate us, she thought. No matter how many people want Gavin or me, they're not going to come between us, ever!

Delilah smiled a little and put a hand on her stomach. Hey, little one, no fears about having divorced parents, or anything like that. You'll be born into a family that loves you and wants you and can take care of you. No dealing with the trouble of going back and forth between two houses, or anything like that. You're luckier than some, she thought to her unborn child.

Delilah stroked Gavin's hair. "Of course I am, sweetheart," she replied. "I can't wait until I'm far enough along to find out whether it's a boy or a girl. Either way, I bet the kid's going to be really good-looking, just like their daddy." She laughed a little.

Just then, she caught a whiff of his new cologne. Ooh... smells nice... she thought. Grinning broadly, she teased, "You'll have to introduce me to your other wife someday. I bet we'd get along great. We both have incredible taste in men." She guided him up enough to where she could kiss his lips. "By the way, darling, that cologne smells great on you. You should wear it more often."

Delilah wrapped her arms around Gavin, smiling contentedly. This is nice. No one else would be so kind to me, after I was so snippy the other day, she thought.

"So," she said, "let's head to work. Will you drive, or do you want me to do it?"

Gavin laughed and tapped Delilah on the nose, holding her softly around the waist as she stroked his hair

"Flattery will get you everywhere!" he teased, "and if the kid is good looking then it's going to be all from their mummy!"

He smiled and bent his head to attempt to smell his own cologne, sliding a hand down Delilah's cheek and stuck his tongue out at her. Bending his shoulder down so she could smell it, he chuckled happily

"The bottle said it's irresistable and kissable!" Gavin joked, puckering up his lips playfully, "so plant one on my darling!"

"So," she said, "let's head to work. Will you drive, or do you want me to do it?"

Gavin groaned but nodded, taking Delilah's hand and walked with her down to the car where he wrapped his arms around her once more

"I'll drive darling," he told her, "I'm the macho man of course!"

Delilah kissed Gavin and then climbed into the car, making sure to buckle her seatbelt. Can't take any chances, she thought. Gotta protect my baby.

She sighed and leaned back in her seat as Gavin climbed into the car and drove them to the QC building. On the way there, Delilah occasionally kissed Gavin's cheek or hand. When they arrived at the QC building, Delilah climbed out of the car and stood before the building, looking up at it.

Come on, QC, give me your best shot! she thought. Bring out your worst. I can take it!

She squeezed Gavin's hand, and the two of them walked into the building. Delilah couldn't help but giggle a little as she stepped into the elevator. This building holds so many memories for us, she thought. So many firsts for us... She grinned at Gavin and whispered into his ear, "Just thinking about all the fun times we've had. Now, take it easy today, and if you think you might be in over your head, let me know, and I'll get you back home, where you can rest."

Gavin smiled and held Delilah's hand in the elevator as they made their way up to their floor. As she stepped closer and whispered in his ear, he grinned and started to kiss her neck gently, bending his head and stroking her hips

"We've had plenty of fun times in this place!" he laughed, "it's where it all started afterall!"

He smiled and gave Delilah a little love-bite on her neck as the doors to the elevator opened. Chuckling to himself, he dragged her along to his office and said goodbye at the door, telling her to come see him in the next five minutes. He couldn't go too long without his dose of Delilah. As he collapsed down at his desk, he booted up his computer and sent Cecilia an email

She then leaned back and waited for Gavin to arrive. She also hoped Hannah was in the office this day, since it could be the last chance before the honeymoon to actually discuss things.

Delilah flopped into her seat and turned on her computer. Hey, office, did you miss me? she thought, running a fingertip over her desk. She went online and checked to see if she'd gotten any new e-mails.

"Junk, junk, another one from Elemental asking me to work with them, junk, and junk," she muttered, deleting e-mails. Christ, Elemental just doesn't understand the word 'no,' apparently, she thought, snickering a little.

She rearranged her belongings, tidying up her desk a little. She heard a small sound from her computer, indicating that she'd received a new e-mail. "More junk, I bet," she remarked. She grinned when she saw that the e-mail was from Gavin.

Delilah giggled and re-read the e-mail. "Righto," she murmured, rising. "As you wish, darling."

Gavin smiled as he sent the message to Delilah, beginning to organise some of the paperwork on his desk. Gotta get this place sorted out soon! he told himself, shreading a bunch of useless papers and rummaged through his desk. In the second drawer down he found one of Delilah's sweaters and he smiled to himself, gently rubbing it against his nose and taking in her scent. His computer flashed up a new email and he read it hurriedly, sighing when he saw it was from Cecilia

He sighed, deleting the message without typing a reply and stood up to leave the room. At the same time he heard a knock on the door and he opened it to see Delilah

"Hi beautiful," he whispered, kissing her cheek gently, "Cecilia orders me in her office. Come with me and take minutes or something?"

Delilah grinned at Gavin. "Sure, I'll be happy to sit in on the meeting," she said, squeezing him. "Sounds good."

She hurried back to her office and grabbed up a pen and notebook. "There, now I can take notes," she murmured. She smoothed her hair down and hurried back to Gavin.

"Okay, let's go," she said. They walked to Cecilia's office. Delilah was a little nervous. She's going to be angry at me for how I behaved the other day, she thought. Angry. Furious. Infuriated. Oh man... need I continue?

She felt her palms grow a little sweaty, and she bit her lip. Cecilia's going to be ticked at me. No, Dee, calm down. Stressing out is bad for you, not to mention terrible for the baby. Now relax. Breathe. The worst she can do is yell... right?

Instinctively, she put her hand over her stomach, protecting the life within. She wouldn't do anything to my baby. What woman would do that to another? So, guess what, little one, you're probably a lot safer than I am.

Gavin put his hand through Delilah's as they walked to Cecilia's office. Once standing outside, he drew her into a hug

"Hey hey, don't worry. Even if she's angry at you, you've got me to protect you remember?!" he whispered

He gave Delilah a long passionate kiss, sending sparks right down to his toes and then smiled warmly. He pushed the door open and stepped inside the office

"I'm here," Gavin said to Cecilia with a smile.

The door opened further, revealing Delilah who was almost shaking, and he could instantly tell things weren't going to go very well

"Oh hey" she said, but then she noticed Delilah standing there.

"This was supposed to be a private meeting, you know." Cecilia sighed.

"Really, the word secret in the e-mail would actually already tell it's only for the most important people in the company."

She looked at him and then at Delilah. At home so big and furious and at the office so small and afraid. It was quite funny actually, how people could change in different places. She walked further in the room and sat down in her chair, waiting for the answer and reaction to what she said.

Delilah wrapped an arm around Gavin. "I thought it would be helpful to take notes. Besides, Gavin suggested that I come along. It wasn't my idea."

She looked to Gavin, biting her lip.

Of course she doesn't want me to be around. After how I acted, can I blame her? But still, it wasn't my idea to come to the meeting! Gavin suggested it. But... oh, I don't know. I guess I can be more strong and powerful when I'm home because it's my home, my territory, while this building... I guess it's more of Cecilia's property, she thought, her eyes glancing about the room, afraid to stop and focus for any one thing for more than a few seconds.

She squeezed Gavin's hand and said, "...I... I guess you want me to leave...?"

"We all know why Gavin suggested it, and it's not because it's really helpful." she said.

"In this place, i'm the boss. I'm not the oh-so-in-love woman here, I can't. So no, i'm not doing this because he loves you or anything, this is business." she looked her straight in the eye.

"Yes? Thank you" she sat down behind her computer and printed some papers for the meeting she needed.

She picked up the papers and lay them down on the table, which now had three chairs instead of one. She sat down on her own chair and once again waited for reactions and answers.

Gavin held Delilah's hand comfortingly, pulling her towards him a little as they stepped into Cecilia's office

"Anything we talk about, Delilah is probably going to find out about anyway. And she won't tell anyone. She's here so I can concentrate and won't have to make notes of our discussion, she can do it. She is my secretary after all." Gavin insisted

He took a seat in front of Delilah's desk, holding eye contact with Cecilia almost daring her to argue against it. He smiled, turning away to look up at Delilah again, pulling her into the chair beside him

"So, what do we have to talk about then?" Gavin asked, looking back at Cecilia with a broad cheeky smile

"Gavin, I just said she had to leave and yes she is going to find out. After the fashion show.
You're a co-owner, you should be able to take your own notes or at least remember something of what we talked about."

She waited again, things like this always happened, she simply had to leave. She was his boss and that meant she was above all the people that worked there, there was no way they wouldn't do what she said. If they wouldn't listen there was a thing called: FIRED! but then they would sue her with the reason she was jealous. And yes, she was. But that didn't make her choices different on her work.

"I'm your boss, Gavin. You can't just walk over me."

Gavin sat back in his chair, looking at Cecilia's eyes for what felt like hours. He wanted to push her further, see how far he could go before she fired either himself or Delilah, but he decided against it

"If I'm the co-owner then surely I have equal rights to say who's in what meeting," he retorted, raising his eyebrows

He turned to Delilah and put a hand comfortingly on hers, squeezing it. Could he send her away and have to face Cecilia on his own? He didn't want to, he didn't want to be parted from her. It was almost like he needed her to survive, to function properly: she was his other half

"Send her away then" Gavin replied to Cecilia, "because I'm not going to be the one to do it. Talk to her directly, or are you too scared?"

Cecilia laughed. "Why do you think I'm scared? I just told her to leave, but ok, if I need to say it again."

"Delilah, leave." she said directly and shortly.

Why did he think she didn't dare to? She just told her to leave and that didn't scare her. At all. She typed something on her computer and then looked up again.

"Leave" she repeated. This was a meeting and if Gavin couldn't handle it to be away from Delilah, then he wasn't the right guy for the job. A simple thing that everyone could know if they just thinked sometime.

Delilah narrowed her eyes angrily at Cecilia, then glanced over at Gavin. She bit her lip briefly and then gave his hand a quick squeeze. Slowly, hesitantly, she left the room, leaning against the nearest wall with a low sigh.

She hates me. She freaking hates me, she thought. A brief wave of nausea swept over her, and she rushed over to the nearest restroom, leaning over the toilet so as to avoid making the janitors have to do additional work. I'm okay. It's just morning sickness, she reassured herself. Normal for pregnant women.

Delilah washed her hands, scrubbing hard at them, until they were almost red. Typical, she thought, I take my anger out on myself most of the time, rather than taking it out on the person who angers or annoys me. She sighed and left the bathroom, and headed back to her office, where she flopped into her chair and lowered her head to the desk, which was comfortingly cool. Chill, Dee. You did nothing wrong. It wasn't your idea to go in, remember? she told herself.

"Right" Cecilia said as she walked over to the door and closed it.

"Let's get to business. What I wanted to talk about was the Fashion Show. We need to pick the clothes and the models to show. What do you think?"

She coughed, took a sip of her coffee and continued, she started pointing at pictures of models and clothes.

"This model is smaller than most of the models, so I think we should pick her for the smaller sizes and then we can use her, him, him, him, her, her and her. Tell me if you want to add or swap models and clothes."

Gavin sighed as Cecilia shut Delilah out of the office, wishing she hadn't left. Now he was left to deal with Cecilia all on his own, deal without whatever nastiness she threw at him. No doubt she'd bring up the whole 'love' thing and turn it round to make him the bad guy

"I was thinking..." he started, examining the pictures he had given her, "if it would be a good idea to use some of our workers in the Fashion Show."

He paused but didn't let Cecilia say anything, determined to get his good idea across to her. It was the first time he actually had something interesting to contribute to one of their meetings. Their first private meeting was just Cecilia trying to make out with him, he distinctly remembered

"Okay, I think it would be a good idea as it shows the workers of QC and how our clothes look good on normal people. We could still use all the regular models, but, you could do some of the formal dresses or swimsuits for example. And Hannah could do some modelling..." he suggested with a smile on his face

While Cecilia thought about it, he took out his cell phone and sent a quick text to Delilah

She sent the message and then put the phone back on her desk. The fashion show, she thought. That's what they're talking about. I wonder if Gavin remembered my idea about the clothes and regular-sized models and all. Nah, I doubt it.

Delilah closed her eyes, relaxing, a small smile on her lips. Maybe... a quick nap... she thought.

"Good idea, is this because you want Delilah in it?" she asked.

It was quite obvious that that was the reason why he wanted it.

"This idea could bring us to the top or to the ground, we really need to think about this." she smiled and took another sip of her coffee.

"Then, who do you suggest to be in the show? If we do it, we have to use the good looking people in the office I think. And we also need to think about it that our workers don't have the experience to walk the catwalk. We could do lessons, but we need to do it fast then. Gavin smiled, pleased Cecilia had liked his idea for once and he sat back in his chair happily. It was his twist on Delilah's idea of having regular sized clothes: to show they fitted real people and real people could actually wear them. Hopefully she'd be proud of him, especially for remembering. She was clueless - he remembered every word she'd ever spoken to him

"No it's not because I want Deliliah in it!" he said with a slight frown, "why would I want that?!"

Gavin sighed and felt his back pocket vibrate as he recieved another text. Opening it, he let out a little laugh and hurriedly typed a response before Cecilia could say anything

He looked up and met eyes with Cecilia, slipping his cell phone back into his back pocket

"I don't think we should just cut to good-looking people!" he laughed, "that would be down to about you and Delilah! That's a bit shallow though isn't it"

Delilah opened her eyes drowsily. Uh... what now? she thought, picking up her phone. She flipped it open and read the message:

Delilah smiled a little, reading this. He did remember, she thought, pleased. And apparently, he told Cecilia about it.

She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts, and then typed in a response:

Sure, I would. But I don't think Cecilia would like that too much. Love you too, sweetie. DSR XOXO

She sent the message and then put the phone back on her desk. She opened a drawer and rummaged through it, pulling out a notebook. With a sigh, she flipped through it, looking at the dozens of sketches she'd done over the past few months, in moments of boredom. So, she thought, I guess it's going to happen. Regular-sized models... maybe regular-sized clothes. And that means more business for QC, maybe a bonus for Gavin for suggesting it. And that means money that can be used for medical expenses and all when the baby's born.

Cecilia looked at him. How do I tell him this? she thought.

"Delilah isn't really that pretty" she said and then quickly shut her mouth.

"You're practically doing everything she wants don't you? Kind of a slave. I'm sorry to say that but really, maybe you don't see it but love really makes people blind to what the reality is. You saw that with me, but now I know the reality Gavin." she sighed.

"I'm really sorry Gavin."

She stood up and grabbed herself another cup of coffee.

Gavin's cheeks turned pink and his fists curled into little balls at what Cecilia had said. On the one part, she had said some truth: he did sort of act like Delilah's slave, but he couldn't be happier being her slave. He'd do anything for her, just because he loved her and wanted her to be happy. On the other hand, she'd insulted his fiance and Delilah was pretty

"I think personal preferences should stay out of it," he snapped back, "if you don't think Delilah is pretty then fine. But I do."

He coughed slightly and his cheeks heated up again. He didn't want Cecilia or Delilah to know what he was thinking. It was too horrible. Feeling a vibration on his *ss, he picked out his cell phone again and subtly sent a reply

"So who should be in the Fashion show then?" he asked Cecilia

Delilah reached out and picked up the vibrating phone. Now what? she thought, flipping it open. She read the message, her eyes narrowing to angry little slits:

She flinched. For years, she'd had problems with how she looked-- she'd always thought her eyes were too small, her nose too bony, her chin too pointy-- but she didn't need her snob of a boss making things worse. Her eyes burned with unshed tears, and she angrily pressed out a response:

She pressed the send button hard and slammed the cell phone onto her desk. How dare she? How DARE she? she thought. I don't think Cecilia's much to look at either, but I keep that to myself!

Delilah took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. Calm down, Dee. She wants you to get angry. Don't let her win.

"I don't know" she said and sighed, he was probably angry again, she was just trying to help and it was just paid with, as always, anger.

"I'm not even sure if we should do it yet. I mean, we need to be sure it will be a hit or else we will get to the ground in no-time. The fashion industry is about beautiful people, and our guests, who will be photographers, other models and other big company's, only like beautiful people. This world is harsh, but I can't help it."

She took a sip from her coffee and looked through the papers again. But she couldn't concentrate no more. She didn't even want to be mean, but how else was she supposed to explain why she couldn't be in the fashion show?

Gavin sighed angrily, wondering whether Delilah was upset and if she was he wanted to hug her and comfort her. He wanted to kiss her and tell her she was gorgeous, and not to listen to Cecilia, he thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world.

"The modelling industry isn't about beautiful people!" he laughed at her naivety, "it's about how people wear their clothes. It's about confidence and making clothes look good; a fashion show isn't about the face wearing the clothes, it's about the clothes and how they make them look. I'd have thought the head of a fashion company would know that!"

Gavin chuckled to himself and looked down his nose at Cecilia, amazed by his knowelege of fashion and Cecilia's lack of it. Perhaps having Delilah in here would have been a good idea as she could explain some of the basic facts of fashion to his boss

"And I think we'd get far much more business if we campaigned for regular-looking people! Not everyone is a size double zero, and its unhealthy to want to be one. And I think Delilah wears her clothes really well, so yes, I think she should be in the fashion show. Along with you, of course." he added with a small smile

He sighed as he felt his cell phone vibrate again, wondering whether he could brave another text. Taking out his cell he quickly typed

She shook her head.

"Then you can tell me why you need to be beautifull to even become a model." she sighed and leaned back.

"You're just getting back on me because I sent Delilah away right? We can't even do a normal meeting just because Delilah isn't here. Every time we have to talk you just get all akward with me. I know Delilah gives you comfort but we just can't work like this." she sighed, stood up and walked over to the large window.

"I asked you to be Co-Owner because I thought you could do it, but the only thing you still care about is Delilah. I mean, would you even care if you had no job anymore?" she sighed heavily.

" 'No matter what happens, as long as we're together everything is fine' right? I'm sorry, but we just can't work like this anymore. And no i'm not firing you or anything."

Gavin stood up and followed Cecilia over to the window, wondering what he was going to do. She was effectively punishing him because he was in love with Delilah, and no matter what she said, there wasn't anything that was going to change that. She could fire him, threaten him, beg and scream, but he wasn't going to drop Delilah for her. Not unless something major happened anyway

"Well, are you saying we shouldn't be co-owners?" he asked, frowning slightly

He took a deep breath. He didn't want to do this, but if she was playing it this way then he could only follow suit

"Of course I care if I have a job, this place is my life. Frankly, I'd say you aren't really stable enough to run this company on your own, and removing me isn't going to help. What exactly have you done for this company in the past few weeks? Run away from it? Up and left when things got difficult!" he paused to exhale deeply, "exactly. If you say we can't work like this, maybe you should be the one to step down a little."

Gavin smiled at Cecilia to show he wasn't angry

"Or should we just drop this and talk about the fashion show?" he suggested softly

Cecilia sighed.

"It's different now and I can handle it. Back then people tortured me just because I was in love with you, do you know how that feels? When no one actually likes you and when you fire them because they are rude they threathen to sue you. And when they wont let you in the hospital because they are afraid I will do something to you or the baby or anything? I'm not trying to make you feel sorry for me, but I atleast expect some symphaty. Because you're my friend." she sighed heavily and turned around to face him.

"You also said, some time ago when I let you run the company, that you couldn't do that. So don't say such things, please." she now only looked at him.

He would, most likely, become angry again and walk away, go home and have s*x with miss Stanton. Without any reason of becoming angry. But she didn't want that, at all. She wanted him to stay, just stay.

"Yes, let's talk about the Fashion Show" she closed her eyes and walked past him.

She sat down on her chair and waited for him to sit too.

Gavin nodded, beginning to feel sorry for Cecilia, and realised maybe they had treated her a little badly. She was alone in the world, and was just asking for friends, asking for love, but she went about it the wrong way. She had tried to split him and Delilah up, and that had angered both of them, starting a period of unease between them

"Come here," he said softly

He pulled Cecilia's hand out of the chair and gave her a hug, trying to show her the sympathy she, not deserved, but craved from him.

"You need to find someone who'll treat you and love you, like I do Delilah. I can't offer you love, but I can offer you friendship," Gavin said softly

"Then I would like to see that you're really my friend." she whispered as she held him.

"I'd better not go searching, remember what happened last time?" she said, pointing at her belly.

She let a tear fall down her cheek but quickly wiped it away.

"This is the first time after my accident I actually feel that you're my friend. And isn't friendhsip love? You love the people that are most close to you. And you care about them."

"Please tell me you're serious, and not that the next time you're with Delilah you talk bad about me or something, I'd like it if you wouldn't do that. You should stand up for yourself and your friends." she smiled at him.

Gavin pulled away from Cecilia and sat down on his chair he was sitting in prior to the interruption. He smiled though, to show her he didn't hate her or anything, their friendship would have to grow slowly, it couldn't blossom fully over-night: not with all their history

He looked up, beginning to frown a little but kept his tone soft

"Don't push it C," Gavin warned, looking her in the eye, "and I'll say what I like, but if it's unjust then I'll stand up for you. However, you can't exactly blame Delilah now can you? Only minutes ago you called her ugly!"

"I never said she was ugly, I just said she wasn't that pretty." she sighed.

"But calling me The Devil and keeping me out of the hospital is kind of mean, right?" she sat down.

"Let's just stop talking about this" she said, softly smiling, she didn'nt want to go over it, again.

He just didn't realise it. He didn't realise that he was going crazy, slowly. He was obsessed with her, that was true. An obsessed slave. Delilah could practically say anything and he would do it. Maybe one day she'd tell him to hit Cecilia, and maybe, he would even do it for her.

Gavin sighed and leant forward to rest his chin in his hands, closing his eyes briefly. He'd only just come out of hospital and he didn't want to be dealing with this, as he never knew how to react around Cecilia, never sure what she was thinking and what she wanted to do. Half the time she wanted to jump on him: he was a magnet and she was being pulled in. And the other half of the time, she hated his guts with a passion - mainly because of Delilah

"Delilah is engaged to me, and she was worried that you and I would do something if you came into the hospital. You can't blame her, can you!" he said softly, looking at Cecilia through the top of his eyes

He nodded, agreeing not to talk of it anymore

"So..the fashion show. I really do think it's a good idea to get our workers to model -people don't like seeing clothes that look fantastic on someone else but would never ever fit them." he said, getting into the idea, "you could do a lot if you want as you've got the looks. Delilah could do lots too. I may even volunteer for a small amount of modelling, although I aint as great looking as you two! I look like a duck in comparison!"

"Aren't you going on your honeymoon then? Because we already talked about it and you will be on your honeymoon." she asked, wondering.

"But I do think casuals would only fit the workers, the swim suits are better for the models I think, they are fully trained for lingerie and swim suits." she took a sip of her, almost cold, coffee.

Yuck, this coffee is just... gross when it's almost cold. she though, as she got herself another cup of coffee.

"I can't stop drinking coffee today" she joked.

"I slept too long, I was awake at 1 o'clock!"

Gavin sighed, pushing back his chair and looked towards the office door. Cecilia wasn't listening to a word he was staying: still being stubborn and refusing to let anything go anyway that wasn't her idea. Perish the thought that she wasn't the one with the fantastic idea! Truthfully, it had been Delilah's idea all along, but he wasn't about to tell Cecilia that, less it get a big zero from her straight away.

"Look C, this meeting isn't working out," he said ernestly, rising to his feet, "why don't we try again later or something."

Gavin nodded to his boss and left the room, careful to close the door securely on his way out. Something about her just made his skin crawl. His spirits began to rise as he made his way back down in the elevator and to his own office, scribbling down a couple of notes on a sheet of paper. Minutes later, he appeared at the door to Delilah's office, watching her lay back in her chair with shut eyes. He smiled, walking over to her and quietly sat down on her desk, waiting for her to awaken

"Hey gorgeous," he whispered, "you aren't still feeling bad about what Cecilia said. Are you?" he asked, reaching out to gently stroke Delilah's cheek

Delilah opened her eyes drowsily. Urgh, I fell asleep at work. Way to go, me, she thought, rubbing her eyes. She smiled weakly at Gavin.

"Hey gorgeous," he whispered, "you aren't still feeling bad about what Cecilia said. Are you?" he asked, reaching out to gently stroke Delilah's cheek.

Delilah bit her lip. Wow, he knows me a little too well, she thought, flinching a little at the thoughts. She still felt unhappy. I'm ugly? she thought. Me? Granted, I'm no Miss America, but still, I didn't think I was a total freaking ogre either.

She sighed and leaned her head on Gavin's shoulder. "Yeah," she finally said. "I guess I am. It was really mean of her to say that, especially to you. I mean, I know that she said it mostly out of jealousy and all but... man, it still really hurts."

She decided not to tell Gavin about how she'd had to force herself not to cry, about how she finally dozed off, feeling sorry for herself and questioning whether or not she really was as attractive as Gavin made her out to be. She wrapped her arms tightly around Gavin and sighed.

Gavin nodded, pulling Delilah into his embrace and tried to understand how she felt. Cecilia, of course, had just said it to get a reaction from him: because she was jealous and wanted to see how far he'd go to defend her.

"Don't be daft darling," he whispered, "you're the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. You're no ugly duckling!"

He smiled warmly, trying to make her feel better and comfort his love. He had known from the second Cecilia had spoken those words how much it would hurt Delilah

"I love you, and that's all that matters. And I don't love Cecilia. Doesn't that tell you something right there!"

Delilah smiled and kissed Gavin's cheek. "I love you too, sweetie," she murmured. She paused for a moment and then, trying to make light of the situation, added, "Sure, you don't love Cecilia. But you know, if I hadn't been working here, you'd have probably ended up with her. Lovely thought there, eh?"

She shuddered a little, considering this idea. Overall, I think it's a good thing for both me and Gavin that I ended up working here. I can only imagine the horrible person he would be if he'd ended up with Cecilia. He'd be a totally different man, she thought. She hugged him tightly, as if to reassure herself that this would not happen.

"So, how did the meeting go, other than you ending up ticked?" she asked. "Any progress made?"

Cecilia probably hated the idea. She'd have hated it more if she knew it came from me, she thought, smirking a little. No surprise there. She thinks that she's the Queen Bee, no pun intended. Oh, what I would do just to slap her once. Just once.

Gavin wrinkled up his nose, wondering what he'd be like if he'd ended up with Cecilia. He wasn't too sure, but he'd be very different that was certain. As if to get rid of the thoughts, he shook his head and kissed Delilah's nose lovingly

"Oh god the meeting!" he laughed, "I suggested that idea of yours about regular sized clothes, and even suggested using some of our workers in the Fashion show. And she hated it!" he paused to chuckle gently, "she said only 'beautiful people' can model which I think is crap personally!"

Gavin smiled and sat back, holding Delilah's hand in his, just as something to help him calm down. It had been over a day since they'd been together in bed and he missed it already, grinning to himself as he imagined Delilah in the all-together. He laughed and then stopped his thoughts, realising he'd look like a total perv if she knew what he was thinking

"I had to sleep on the sofa last night!" Gavin laughed, "I think you owe me still!"

Delilah rolled her eyes and leaned against Gavin. "Darling," she said wryly, "in Cecilia's world, the only beautiful people are you and her. Everyone else is scum, or nearly so. Especially me. Because, y'know, I took away one of the few male workers from the dating pool." She laughed and gave Gavin a playful, light punch on the shoulder.

"I had to sleep on the sofa last night!" Gavin laughed, "I think you owe me still!"

Delilah snickered. "You and your idea of 'debt.' You just can't stand going a few hours without touching me. No wonder I got knocked up-- it's your fault. And you better believe that when I go into labor, you will be right there, dealing with me yelling and cursing and everything else. Remember-- watermelon and keyhole."

Delilah laughed and wrapped her arms around Gavin. "You know I love you, darling," she said softly.

Gavin pulled a face and pretended to pull away from Delilah, poking her in the ribs. She always had to throw in the old watermelon and make him feel like he was about to puke: even so, he'd be right there when she was going through labour, no matter what

"You know I'll be there for you gorgeous!" he said gently, "holding your hand and telling you not to pass out!"

Gavin chuckled, what a conversation! He squeezed Delilah's hand playfully

"Now you'd better shut up or you won't ever got knocked up again!" he teased

He wrapped his arms more tightly around her and kissed her neck playfully, nipping her skin with his teeth softly. No, he really couldn't go a few hours without touching her, but he didn't just love her for her body. There was more to him than that, her gorgeous body was just a bonus

"Oh, and I love you too babe!"

Delilah sighed and leaned against Gavin, closing her eyes, a small smile on her lips. She eased herself onto his lap and softly kissed his cheek. "You're a better man than some, darling," she remarked. "There's some guys who'd abandon their girlfriends in this same situation." She embraced Gavin tightly, grateful to have such a kind and loving fiance. Husband, soon, she reminded herself, smiling.

"It's not my fault we're both so fertile," she teased, tickling Gavin's sides. "So, you better take care next time, or we'll have a repeat situation, eh?"

Still, Delilah couldn't help but smile at the idea of having several children, all adorable and looking like Gavin. Nice, she thought. At least we'll have good-looking kids, though. We're both attractive people.

Gavin laughed and gently pulled Delilah further onto his lap so he could hold her tightly in his arms. Her words had made him think, think about his motives and what exactly he was doing. Soon he'd be married to one of the most gorgeous girls out there --in his opinion

"Wanna know the truth?" he asked her, whispering softly into her ear, "before I met you, I was one of them. I was a typical man dominant character, god forbid an ex come to me pregnant! But that's all changed now, I wouldn't abandon you for the world!"

He chuckled as Delilah tickled him, letting him dream about their child, hopefully one day to become children. He was about to start a family, about to embark on his future, and he couldn't be happier.

"You don't want a repeat situation?" Gavin asked surprised, "I'd like at least two kids, and no, not just because I enjoy making them!" he chuckled

Delilah grinned broadly. "You could have fooled me," she teased. "You like trying to make them, at least, from what I can tell. Seriously, though, I wouldn't mind having more than one kid. But don't expect me to give birth to a litter of them, okay? I don't have the patiences to have tons of babies. Actually, I don't think you do either. So, we'll stop at about two or three, okay?"

She giggled a little and stroked Gavin's hair. "Seriously, though, all of the people I was friends with in high school would freak out if they knew I was actually looking forward to having kids. So unlike how I was back then," she remarked, laughing briefly. "I've changed so much. If you knew me back then, you'd have wanted nothing to do with me. I was... so different. A bad influence." She laughed some more. "I sure have changed!"

Gavin chuckled, running his hands gently through Delilah's hair and onto her cheeks, pulling her face closer to his and kissed her lips

"Hmm...maybe I like the bad girls!" he teased, moving his hands down again to cup the place where their baby was growing, "but then again. I like everything about you and don't want you to change for anything. I'm warning you, no crazy diets or any of that crap. You're perfect the way you are!"

Running the fingers of his other hand down Delilah's back, he laughed to himself. He hadn't been the greatest guy in high school, even though he made valedictorian, he had a history of failed one nighters that he didn't want to go into. After high school he had gotten worse, working man in the city and all that jazz

"And we can stop having kids whenever you like," Gavin laughed, "as long as we don't stop the erm 'process' involved in making them!"

Delilah gently squeezed Gavin's hands and affectionately kissed them. "Trust me, that aspect of our relationship will continue, even when we're old and ugly," she teased. "You'll see to that." She smiled and leaned against him. "I don't plan on doing any weird diets or anything like that. A lot of those diets aren't good for you, either. I think I've done enough damage to my body already, without going on extreme diets."

I did so much bad stuff, it's a miracle I'm still alive, she thought. All that underaged drinking... experimenting with different drugs... all kinds of unhealthy habits. And yet, I turned out healthy and ended up with a good life, while some of my 'good' classmates have pretty lousy lives, in comparison. Go figure, eh?

She stroked Gavin's hair, smiling softly. You're keeping me from insanity, sweetie, she thought.

Gavin laughed and poked Delilah softly in the ribs, knowing she was teasing his reluctance to keep his hands off her. It's not like she minded, on the contrary he was pretty sure she enjoyed his kisses and all the affection he gave her.

"You had better not do anymore of that bad stuff!" he told her, tapping her on the nose, "I don't want to come home one day and find my gorgeous girlfriend - I mean wife - dead on the floor! What will I do!"

Gavin smiled, although making a joke of it he was worried about her, and if Delilah would ever go back to those previous ways she had in her teen years. Afterall, she was only 24

"Oh that reminds me" he laughed

Gently easing himself out from underneath Delilah, he hurried back to his office and snatched up the box he'd perchaced the previous day.

"Here," he whispered

Gavin handed the box to Delilah and snapped it open for her, revealing a pair of gorgeous gold heart shaped earrings (http://www.zoojewellery.com/images/products/GE073.jpg). He smiled at her, his eyes displaying all the love in the world

Delilah gasped, staring at the earrings, her eyes widening with recognition. How many times, when I was younger, did I stand in front of jewelry stores displaying similar types of earrings, wanting them and promising myself that one day, when I became a rich and successful woman, I would have a pair like this? she thought. She was afraid to touch them, as if they would disappear, as though in a dream.

"They're beautiful," she finally said. "I've always wanted a pair like that."

She hugged Gavin tightly, both pleased and surprised that he knew her so well. "You know I'm not going to go back to my bad habits," she said. "When you were in the hospital and we had a fight, I went to the bar... and then I binged on Shirley Temples." She laughed. "I think that's the first time I had a sugar-induced hangover. Those things are good, but you shouldn't drink as many as I did. The bartender ran out of some of the ingredients, I drank so many!"

Gavin laughed at Delilah's sugar-induced hangover. She's so adorable and so determined not to go back to her old habits. I love you so much my darling, don't ever forget that. He smiled and watched her as she examined the earrings he'd bought her, knowing she was stunned with his gesture as he himself had been

"Turn them over," he said with a little laugh

Gavin lifted one of the earrings out of the box and held it in his palm, displaying the back to Delilah. The words: G+D forever were engraved on the back of them both in tiny writing, something that had cost him a lot extra, but completely worth it. He then hugged her tightly again, stroking her hair

"I love you gorgeous" Gavin whispered, "by the time we hit our first anniversary, you'll be so showered in gorgeous jewelry and clothing that you won't know what to do with yourself!"

Delilah forced herself not to cry from such happiness. How did I get so lucky as to have such a wonderful man in my life? she thought, carefully putting the earrings in place. She embraced Gavin tightly and kissed him.

"I love you, darling," she whispered, clinging to him. "I don't need fancy expensive stuff to feel loved by you, you know. As long as I have you with me, to love and protect me, that's all I need. You're so good to me, better than anyone else has been. I don't want you to think I'm a golddigger or anything like that; I'm not, but still... some people like to assume terrible things." She sighed a little. "Our wedding's coming soon. Are you still sure you want to be stuck with the weird rocker girl with the bad past?"

Delilah smiled, knowing what the answer would be, but she loved to hear it. It's hard to believe someone like Gavin would have ever fallen for someone like me. Most people would figure he'd go for someone with money and all, like Cecilia, but instead, he picked me. And I'll do my best to make sure he never regrets it ever.

Gavin kissed Delilah's lips gently, then instead touched the place his lips had been with his finger. He smiled, letting himself slip into a little dream world when he imagined their wedding: silence, doors opening, burst of music as Delilah begins to walk down the aisle, looking gorgeous in her wedding dress, the rings, the kiss, the future...

"Hmm" he began in a teasing voice, "maybe I should see if Cecilia is still available and kick you to the curb!"

He laughed and embraced Delilah again, starting to give her little kisses all up her neck

"Of course I want to be 'stuck' with you my darling," he whispered, "and I know you're not a golddigger, but sometimes it's nice to see that happy look on your face when I buy you something. If it makes you love me more then it's definately worth the cash!"

Gavin laughed again and squeezed Delilah tightly

"Are you still sure you want to marry a workaholic prep like me?" he asked grinning

Delilah giggled. "You're not a workaholic. You've got a good balance of work and play. In fact, I think you're starting to become work-phobic," she teased. "And you're not just a prep-- you're my prep. And that means no one gets away with treating you badly. Just like no one gets away with mistreating your rocker girl. Right?"

She stroked Gavin's hair. "I'm just worried that you'll get second thoughts, that you'll suddenly get cold feet and say, 'I don't want to marry her-- she's a horrible person, and I can't see why I liked her so much!'" She shuddered a little. "I know it's not going to happen, but still, it worries me."

We've got a bright future ahead of us, she thought. Nice house, maybe a few kids after this one-- they'll have the best life we can give them and the best opportunities-- and lots of great stuff to look forward to. Life is good, even though it does have its rough spots. But we'll survive, and we'll be all that much stronger as a result. Isn't that how it is?

Gavin stuck his tongue out at Delilah but then rested his head on her shoulder, confirming that everything will be okay. She wasn't the one who had to worry about her partner getting cold-feet, that was his job and sometimes when he lay awake at night, he wondered if she'd leave him. He hoped and doubted not, but the thoughts still crossed his mind --she could do way better

"I'm not going to get cold feet!" he insisted warmly, "and no one is every going to treat my girl badly! Make no mistake, if anyone tries to harm you they'll have some serious problems with reproduction in the future!"

Gavin chuckled and ran his hand gently down Delilah's back, pretending to undo the zip on her skirt

"I've done work this morning!" he giggled, "now where's my play!"

Delilah laughed and playfully slapped Gavin's hands away from her skirt. "I've created a monster," she jokingly complained. "You went from being a good old-fashioned workaholic to being... uh... the polar opposite. The only thing you want to work on nowaday is me. I've said it before, and I'll say it again-- you are mostly to blame for this pregnancy."

She toyed with the buttons on his shirt, smirking a little. "It's a good thing I can't get any more pregnant than I am now. I swear, at the rate we're going, we'll have a whole army of kids by the time we're middle-aged. Do you plan on keeping me tied to the bed or something, so I won't get away?" she asked, grinning. She tickled Gavin and then hugged him. "You know I'm just teasing you," she said. She stroked his hair, smiling to herself. Ah... it's so soft. I hope all the kids we have end up with soft hair like his. Mine is such a pain sometimes! she thought.

Gavin chuckled and widened his eyes teasingly at Delilah, ducking his head away from her hand. He pretended to sulk and put both hands over his hair, pressing it into his head and waggled his tongue at her

"Hands off the hair missy!" he laughed, "and maybe tying you to the bed is a good idea! We'll try it when we get home, and maybe I'll let you tie me to the bed too!"

He grinned and playfully batted Delilah's hands away from the buttons of his shirt

"See, you can't resist me!" he teased, "you need to see my oh-so-gorgeous chest!"

Gavin smiled and ran his hands through Delilah's hair, teasing it between his fingers and then kissed her again, trying to tempt her. He might have to revert to his sexy lying on the desk again if she refused, something she definately wanted to see again!

Must... resist... temptation, Delilah thought, closing her eyes. Must act professional. Must not give in to Gavin. If I don't look, I won't be tempted. But I have to open my eyes eventually.

She opened her eyes ever so slightly, sneaking a peek at him. Mmm... nice. Very nice. Maybe I can give in... a little, she thought, opening her eyes some more. She smiled shyly at him, blushing a little. He is so hot, she thought, grinning. Ack, Dee, get your mind out of the gutter.

Delilah sighed and leaned against Gavin. Ah, I give up, she thought. No use fighting it. I can't get enough of this man. She toyed with his hair some more, laughing a little. "You, my dear, are a bad influence," she remarked. "I'm trying, rather unsuccessfully, to get my mind out of the gutter."

Gavin watched with amusement as Delilah tried her hardest not to look at him and eventually failed, leaning back against him again. He laughed and undid the top button of his tight shirt, tempting her to undo the rest if she chose to

"Mind in the gutter eh!" he chuckled, "I'm hoping it's me you're thinking about! Are you thinking about how gorgeous I am and how much you'd love to strip me of my shirt right now? Or are you thinking about what an idiot I'm making myself look!" he laughed

Gavin shuffled back on the desk and sat Delilah between his legs, beginning to massage her shoulders gently

Delilah blushed vividly. He knows me too well, she thought, smiling a little. "Of course I'm thinking about you," she replied. She turned redder, wondering what else he knew about her. Topless Gavin... sounds nice, she thought, grinning. Very nice.

She sighed and leaned against Gavin, sighing happily. She always did like a good back rub. She stretched a little and closed her eyes. This is nice too, actually. I'll probably need them more when I get further along. Don't pregnant women usually have swollen feet and back pain, eventually? At least I know Gavin's going to be there to help me with that. So, guess what, little one-- your mommy and daddy are making sure nothing happens to you and that Mommy's body is in a decent condition to take care of you, she thought. She gave Gavin's hands a brief squeeze and smiled. "Love you," she whispered. Gavin's the best thing to ever happen to me, she thought, feeling all mushy and emotional.

Gavin turned Delilah back around to face him and smiled into her eyes, running a hand gently across her body affectionately and then up to her cheek. Leaning forward, he kissed her passionately and then wrapped his arms around her, drowning in his love for her that had grown so quickly. Soon they'd be married and he'd be the happiest guy in the world

"You still thinking about how gorgeous I am?" he asked teasingly, putting on a pouty model face, "appreciating my fine physique!"

He chuckled and then stroked her shoulders softly, massaging Delilah's neck with his hands provocatively on the inside of her shirt, daring to shift lower and he grazed his fingers down her buttons playfully

"Love you too though babe" Gavin replied with a happy sigh, "to the moon and back."

Delilah giggled and squirmed a little. "You know me too well," she remarked, grinning. "I wonder what other things you know about me without my having to tell you."

She continued to think many pleasant, though less than G-rated, thoughts about Gavin, smirking slightly. "Shocked yet?" she joked. "Or didn't you hear those thoughts clearly enough?" She snickered and playfully poked Gavin's arm, and then wrapped her arms tightly around him. "It's my right to think impure thoughts about you. My right as your soon-to-be wife! Got it? Just like you have the right to think dirty things about me, eh?" She giggled some more, continuing to think her thoughts.

Delilah toyed with the buttons on Gavin's shirt. "Maybe I shouldn't give in," she teased. "Maybe I should just not let you do anything except think about me. You'd hate that, wouldn't you?" She cackled evilly, pretending to be a villain.

She rose, pretending to leave. "So, I guess I'll just leave you to your own devices," she said.

Gavin grinned and closed his eyes, thinking equally dirty thoughts about Delilah and peaked at her through the corner of his eye. If he knew her well she'd blush from him thinking about her like this, even though she secretly liked it

"Hmm naked Delilah!" he chuckled, closing his eyes and making a 'yummy' face, "oh stop that! Stop it you little minx!" he giggled, pretending to enjoy himself from the thoughts in his head.

He grinned again and grabbed Delilah's arm to stop her leaving, his hands slinking around the front of her shirt to quickly undo the top three buttons, exposing her pretty lace bra which made him smile

"Maybe I won't let you not give in!" Gavin teased, "or maybe I should make you think that I'm going to, and then not do anything myself, that would really tick you off wouldn't it!"

Delilah smirked. "Maybe, maybe not," she said, poking playfully at Gavin. She ran away, giggling, and hurried out of the room and down the hall. Where to go? Where to go? she thought. Rooftop? Eh, sure. It's a nice day.

She hurried into the elevator, letting it close before Gavin could get to her. She took it to the top floor and then pressed several other buttons, making the elevator go to several other floors. That'll stall him. Maybe, she thought. She hurried up the stairs to the rooftop, almost tripping in the process. Damn clumsiness, she thought. She arrived at the doorway to the roof and frowned. There was a sign on the exit to the roof, saying, Rooftop closed for repairs and cleaning.

She grumbled and leaned against a wall. So much for that! she thought. Now what?

Gavin laughed and tried to snatch Delilah's hand as she ran but missed and almost fell flat on the floor, making him snigger even more to himself. He smiled and began a quick walk down the corridor and pressed the button to the elevator, leaning leasurely against the wall as not to draw attention to them. Attention wasn't good at a time like this: well, not from anyone other than Delilah

"What the hell..." Gavin chuckled, waiting impatiently for the elevator to arrive as it was being held up. She's pushed all the other buttons hasn't she.. ,he laughed, running down the corridor and pushed the door to the stairs open.

He took them two at a time and was soon on the next from top floor, beginning to walk slowly up the final set of stairs. He didn't want to seem too eager, make Delilah wait and think he wasn't going to come. When eventually he did reach the top, his smile vanished and he pouted

"Aww! Looks like our fun's been ruined!" Gavin complained, turning to look at his fiance with a grin, "or maybe not!"

Slowly, he pushed the shut door to the roof and opened it, peaking his head around. There wasn't much around, not even a single workman

"Would you care to dance my dear?" he asked Delilah, walking over to the grass and did a low bow

Delilah frowned. "Maybe we shouldn't be out here," she said. "I mean, the sign said repairs were being done and stuff. We might do some damage to something that was just repaired." She squeezed Gavin's hand and tried to lead him back into the building.

As though on cue, it began to rain. No, make that pour. Delilah yanked Gavin back into the building. "My God, it's raining cats and dogs!" she remarked, peering out the door. "Amazing!" She frowned a little, worried. "I hope it doesn't flood, though. What if we got stuck here because of the rain? What if it floods and... and..." Her mind began to run wild with all the terrible things that could potentially happen.

Calm down, Dee, she told herself. You already have an exciting enough life without trying to make it more so in your imagination. You are such a pessimist, always expecting the worst-case scenario. That's very unhealthy, not just for you, but also for the baby. Relax. Happy thoughts. Think of the baby. That's better.

Gavin sighed and followed Delilah back into the building and put his arms around her, trying to calm her down. She seemed to be getting stressed very quickly and he presumed it was the hormones of child bearing, it was beginning to affect her just as much as her stomach was starting to get round

"It's okay" he whispered, kissing her forehead, "we aren't going ot get stuck."

He looked out of the window and the pouring rain and he pulled a face

"Do you want to go home now and relax?" Gavin asked, "then we can't get flooded here and you can lie down and relax and I can look after you and run around for you! You'll like that won't you: ordering me around!" he chuckled

Delilah bit her lip. I'm overreacting a lot, huh? she thought. Of course it's not going to flood.

"Yeah," she said out loud. "Going home might be a good idea." Yes, lay in bed, eat junk food, relax, get my mind off of worrying about everyone and everything, stop thinking all doom and gloom, she thought.

She sighed and leaned against Gavin. "Sorry for being so panicky," she apologized. "Blame it on the baby. When you have a living organism sharing your body, it does weird things to your mind." She snickered a little. "It's an evil little symbiotic monster. Good news is, it'll be totally adorable," she joked.

Delilah stroked Gavin's hair affectionately. "Yeah, let's go before the rain gets worse," she suggested. "It's no fun driving and realizing the streets are flooded."

Gavin laughed and dropped to his knees smoothly, taking hold of both of Delilah's hands and then kissed her stomach where the baby was. He couldn't wait for the little thing to be born, it would probably be a trouble maker and totally evil like him, but totally gorgeous like Delilah! Smiling, he got to his feet again

"Let's go then darling," he said

They took the elevator back down to his office where he grabbed his keys and his jacket and shoved it on. Gavin grinned and put his arms under Delilah's legs and scooped her up into his arms, carrying her bridal-style down to his car and placed her gently in the seat

"You look even more beautiful with wet hair!" he teased, climbing into the drivers seat and started up the engine

Delilah chuckled. "No, I don't. You're just saying that to make me feel better. Liar," she teased. "Besides, you know once I get further along, it'll be a pain in the butt for you to try to carry me like that. I'll be all fat and clumsy and ugly, and you'll want to trade me in for a skinny, non-pregnant woman!" She giggled a little and playfully poked Gavin.

She leaned against him and sighed. It's nice to have someone who loves me, she thought, pleased. "You look gorgeous no matter what," she remarked, admiring him. Even with his hair drenched and plastered against his head, he was very attractive. He always looks great. I envy him, she thought, with a sigh.

"I love you," she murmured, kissing his cheek briefly. "Now get me home! Didn't you know pregnant women melt in the rain?" She snickered at her joke and then sat back and relaxed, ready for a nice ride home, followed by a hot bath.

Cecilia moaned and pushed the paperwork off her desk. She had been working all day and she felt like she was the only one working in the whole office. And to be honest, she was. The phone ringed and she picked up.

"Yes?" she asked, annoyed.

"No, I can't really. What the h*ll! I'm not giving jobs to random people who call me. What? You've been calling me all week? That's something we call stalking. Stop it! You love me? What the h*ll! Is this some kind of joke, stop calling me, ok? NO! STOP IT!" she slammed the phone back on the holder and leaned back in her chair.

Gavin grinned and revved the engine a couple of times teasingly, then set off on the way home. He drove fast but not too fast as he didn't want to hurt Delilah while going over any bumps, but he also wanted to get home soon so he could smother his fiance in kisses and never let her go.

"You know I love you too" he replied, flicking his drenched hair out of his eyes so he could see the road

Finally he reached their home and he stopped, quickly getting out and ran to Delilah's side to carry her again. The rain pelted down even harder and faster and he carried her up the steps and opened the front door, not putting her down until he was in their bedroom. Placing her very gently on the bed, Gavin smiled and kissed her forehead

"You're just flattering me!" he laughed, "there's no way I look gorgeous! The only way I look gorgeous is if some of your gorgeousness rubbed off on me!"

Gavin smiled and fixed two hot cups of coffee and brought one in for her, laying down on the bed beside Delilah

"What do you want your slave to do now?" he asked in a teasing voice, smiling at her lovingly

Delilah sipped at her coffee, pretending to think long and hard. "I think..." she murmured. "I want you to go back to work, while I rest."

I won't really rest, she thought. I have plans. Things I want to do. Secret stuff. She smirked a little. Then again, those "secret" things involve drawing some fashion designs for Gavin to bring Cecilia and cooking a big, fancy meal for Gavin.

She smiled sweetly and squeeze Gavin's hands. "One of us has to work. You'll survive without me," she said reassuringly. "If anything happens, I'm just a phone call away. And if Cecilia has any problems with it, then... well... tough!"

She stroked Gavin's hair affectionately. "You can do it. Just don't let all those gorgeous women talk you into their beds," she teased.

Gavin's eyes drooped and he sighed, climbing off the bed and pulled his jacket back on. Fair enough that Delilah was pregnant and she needed rest, but he was looking forward to an afternoon looking after his gorgeous fiance and waiting on her hand and foot. Work was so tiresome at the moment, especially that he had no actual work

"Okay, if that's what you want!" he chuckled

He leaned over and kissed Delilah softly on the lips, promising he'd be home in a flash if she needed him.

"And I won't let anyone tempt me into their beds!" Gavin laughed, "except that threesome with the models I have booked at 4!" he teased

Sliding his feet back into his shoes he winked at Delilah

"Love you darling" he said, before leaving the house and drove back to QC, sighing as he sat down in his office and got to work with some old paperwork, wondering if Cecilia was going to bother him or nag him about Delilah not being there

With Gavin finally gone, Delilah reached under the mattress and pulled out a notebook and pen. She reviewed her planned menu: tiramisu, spaghetti, those fancy cookies he liked... the list went on and on. I've got a lot to do, she thought. Better get started.

She rose and walked to the kitchen. After pulling out all the ingredients and sorting them based on the food it would be used in, she sighed. "Well, I better do the tiramisu first. Get that out of the way," she muttered.

Just then, the phone rang. She raced to answer it. "Hello? Yes, this is Delilah. Yes. Yes, a dozen. Red and white. Uh-huh. Queen's Clothes. Yeah, to Gavin Ruppetts. Yes. That's correct. Right. Okay, that's fine. Bill me later. Bye." She hung up and grinned a little. "Lots of guys send flowers to their girlfriends, but not many women send flowers to the guys they care about. Then again, I've never done what the majority does," she said to herself.

A couple of hours later Gavin had several paper cuts from all the work he had been shuffling through and six empty cups of coffee stood proudly on his desk. If it wasn't for the coffee he would surely have his head on the desk and be asleep by now but instead he had almost finished all of his paperwork. There was a loud tapping on his door and he got up to answer it, assuming it was Cecilia

"Gavin Ruppetts?" a pretty young woman asked

He nodded, his brows furrowing in a confused manner and he pursed his lips

"Sign here please" she said

Gavin signed the form and watched as the girl disappeared, only to return with a bundle of a dozen red and white roses which she handed to him.

"Looks like you've done something right, maybe you're just great in bed!" the pretty assistant teased, "it's a pity you've got a girlfriend! Maybe we could have gone out some time!"

He raised and eyebrow and shook his head at the woman, shutting the door on the woman and walked back to his desk where he put the flowers into a vase and immediately picked up the phone and called Delilah

"I got them!" Gavin laughed as she answered

Delilah grinned. "There's lots more great surprises waiting for you," she said. She took the cookies out and carefully set them aside to cool. "I thought it would be nice to make your day a little more pleasant, especially since you're always doing nice things for me."

She blended the tomato sauce, tasted it, and added more seasonings. "Now, behave yourself at work, or no special surprise for you." She put the garlic bread into the oven and set the timer. "I mean it."

She looked at her menu. Most of it's being cooked now or is done. Good, she thought, nodding. Still need to pick out a nice dress to wear for when he gets home. Gavin will love that. "The roses are just the beginning," she said. "Today will be a great day for you."

Gavin smiled and sat back in his chair happily, a little anxious at what 'surprises' Delilah had in store for him. He hoped it wasn't anything bad, especially as he had possibly just had one of the worst days of work he'd ever had, possibly because all he could think about was Delilah

"I promise I'll behave" he chuckled, "I just had the delivery woman making a pass at me and I ignored her. See how well behaved I am!"

Gavin smiled and ran his spare hand through his hair

"I can't wait to get home now!" he giggled, "not that I couldn't wait before either!"

"Miss you" he added, "you'd better be resting and not getting yourself anymore stressed!"

"Stressed?" Delilah repeated, eying the pile of dishes that needed to be washed. "I'm doing fine. No stress here."

Better wash those dishes before he gets home, or we won't have anything to eat off of.

"And, I've been resting," she lied.

I've been working my butt off, just to show you how much I love you.

"I even did some drawing, just to waste some time."

Fashion designs. Something that might actually sell, if you present it to Cecilia without telling her I did it.

"So, everything's good," she concluded. "No worries."

Gavin pursed his lips with a chuckle, rummaging through some sheets of paper that were cluttering up his desk and he chucked a couple in the bin. His desk was getting so piled high with stuff that there wouldn't be anymore 'fun' on it if he didn't clear up

"Delilah!" he said sternly, "get some rest and stop doing other stuff!"

He sighed and laughed a little, wondering how to tease her

"So if I came home right now you wouldn't have to do a mass tidying session or anything?" he asked with a cheeky grin, "in fact I think I may come home right now!" he teased

Gavin chuckled and then a horrible thought came to him. Maybe this was all just a diversion

"There isn't..." he started anxiously, "there's no one else there is there? A guy...?"

Delilah glanced about guiltily at the mess. "Well... maybe... just a small tidying session," she said hesitantly. "And you're the only guy for me. Besides, what man would want to go after a woman who's engaged and pregnant? No one's here except me and our Mini-Me, and nothing here except a mess and a surprise for you."

She snickered a little. "Oh, yes, there's tons of men here-- Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt and Matt Damon," she joked. "I think I even saw Justin Timberlake somewhere in there."

She turned more serious. "Seriously, though, you have nothing to worry about."

She began rapidly scrubbing at the dishes and putting them away. Crap. Am I that transparent to him? How does he always know when I'm up to stuff? Well, obviously, not the guy part, but... she thought. Still, she was pleased to have a partner who knew her so well.

Gavin snickered and relaxed, kicking himself over doubting Delilah. He knew she would never cheat on him, just like he would never cheat on her and neither of them had anything to worry about. They were too much in love for anything to come between them, and he was determined to keep it that way

"Darling please," he said softly, "if there's anything to tidy up please just leave it. Make all the mess you want but just leave it for me to tidy up when I get home. Please, for me?"

Gavin smiled and held the phone between his shoulder and his ear and busily finished some more paperwork so he could get home sooner, eager to see what Delilah had been up too and what surprises she had in store for him. Hopefully some of those surprises would include a kiss, but he was certain he could get one out of her anyway

"And you'd better tell Tom Cruise that his wife is here making out with me right this second!" he said teasingly, "love you darling and I'll be home soon."

Delilah sighed. "I wanted the house to be nice and clean for you, but fine. If that's what you want, I'll leave the mess," she agreed. "I love you too."

She hung up and headed up to the bedroom. She pulled on a nice green dress that she'd gotten from a thrift store for next to nothing. She admired herself in the mirror as she applied her makeup carefully and styled her hair. Then, she hurried back to the kitchen and dining room and began arranging the food nicely. Everything has to be perfect for Gavin, she thought. She put a vase of white lilies on the table and lit some candles.

"Perfect," she declared, admiring the view. Then, she hurried to the living room, sketchbook in hand, to wait for Gavin. She flipped through the pages she intended him to see-- detailed drawings of attractive fall and winter clothes that would be comfortable and designed to fit most body types. That'll get the money in! she thought.

As he chucked the phone back onto it's reciever, Gavin quickly finished some more paperwork and chucked a whole load of stuff into the bin, shutting down his computer and tidied his office ready to go home. It was getting dark outside and the rain was still pouring down heavily, making visibilty so pour that he was beginning to fear driving home. What if he crashed? He sighed and left the office, running as fast as he could to his car and started the engine, setting the wipers on high so he could see a little better

"God help me" he muttered as he put his foot down

Fortunately, an hour later, Gavin pulled the car into the driveway beside his townhouse and got out of the car, his hands shaking from his treacherous drive home and he padded up the steps to the door. By the time he entered the house, his shirt was so damp that it had gone completely see-through and was sticking to his muscular chest like cling film and his hair stuck to his cheeks. He looked a complete mess

"I'm home" he called out, taking off his coat and hung it on a hanger and then walked into the living room.

Gavin let out a gasp when he saw Delilah, as she looked so beautiful and had a glow about her that he had never seen before

Delilah handed Gavin a towel and kissed him. "You're all wet. Dry yourself off," she said. She handed him the sketchbook. "Unless Cecilia is an idiot and doesn't use what's in here, this should get you a promotion and make the company a ton of money. Just a little something I put together in my free time," she said with a wink. "You can look through that later on."

She grabbed his hand and led him to the dining room. "And here's the big surprise," she said, showing him the variety of foods. "I made all the foods you like best. It was hard work, but for you, I am willing to do anything. I hope you like it."

It's the least I can do, after everything you've done for me, she thought. You've helped me more than you'll ever know.

Gavin opened the little notebook and scanned through a few pages, amazed at how good Delilah's drawings were and how creative she was. Clearly she was wasted in being a secretary, but she probably didn't even need to work anymore now though, not with him working too

"This is amazing!" he said

As Delilah grabbed his hand and took him into the dining room he let out a little gasp and hugged her close, kissing the top of her head as his arms tightened his grip of her. She didn't have to do that for him, he would have been happy with a hello

"No, I take that back. This is amazing!" he chuckled

Gavin turned to Delilah and noticed her was making a little puddle of rain water on the floor as his shirt was so drenched. He smiled and touched her cheek

"Do you mind if I go and have a shower before we eat?" he asked her, "or I could just eat topless: whichever you'd prefer!" he teased

Delilah's eyes widened a little. "...Either way is fine with me," she weakly replied, unable to stop herself from picturing Gavin topless. "Whatever makes you happiest." She gently squeezed Gavin's arm, grinning broadly at him. In a falsely angry voice, she said, "I slaved over a hot stove for hours, and now you come home and drip all over my nice clean floors. What's wrong with you?" She giggled a little. "Whatever you do, just get dried off. It would be horrible for you to get sick."

She leaned against the wall, mentally congratulating herself on a job well-done. Way to go, Dee! she thought. You made Gavin happy! Mission accomplished!

She smiled to herself, pleased. I can't think it enough-- life is good! She watched Gavin, wondering what his choice would be. Either way, it'll make for a nice show, she thought, blushing slightly.

Cecilia looked through some maps and sighed again. She worked too much and it was taking it's toll.

"Why can't someone help me" she yelled, knowing that she was the only one left in the building.

She wanted to go home and have dinner, relax on the couch, watch some tv, sleep and do nothing. But she couldn't she had to take care of the company now, it was not going well. She wished she could do the same as the others in the company. Go to work and just relax, kiss your lover, have s*x in the office and go home. But she couldn't, just because she had no one and because she had to work. And when she finally got home, she'd probably have to care for Micheal who seriously needed his own place. And she didn't forget about the babies, who would also be there soon. And then her day plans wouldn't even have 'resting' in it. It would be waking up, making food, going to work, work, work, work, and work some more, coming home, having dinner at the time where most people would go to bed, kiss the twins, and go to bed. And in weekends, she would spend it all with her twins and nothing more. She needed someone to help her, badly.

Gavin laughed and played affectionately with Delilah's neatly styled hair, messing it all out of place and then started to unbutton his shirt. It wasn't just an excuse to get topless, something he wasn't keen on doing in front of anyone but her, but being topless wasn't something he hated. In fact, it seemed to make Delilah love him more

"We can share a bath later right?" he asked with a mischievious grin, "so I don't have to shower just yet."

Gavin removed his shirt and bundled it into the washing machine quickly so it didn't drop anymore on the floor and then did the same with his jeans, shaking the drenched water out of them. He stood uncomfortabley in just his boxers before taking a seat

"I hope you don't mind" he said, his cheeks turning red, "I don't wanna get sick or anything from wet clothes!"

He took a bite out of the meal Delilah had prepared and sighed happily

"Oh my god! This stuff is amazing! Check me out: a fiance who is gorgeous, has an amazing personality, fertile and a great cook! What more could I possibly want!"

"We can share a bath later right?" he asked with a mischievious grin, "so I don't have to shower just yet."

Delilah nodded, blushing vividly, and watched Gavin disrobe and put his clothes in the washing machine. Wow... that right there is the single greatest argument for why I should stay with this man! she thought, eying him appreciatively. She watched him eat for a few seconds before thinking, Stop gawking, Dee. You're going to freak him out. Now sit down and eat.

She sat down at the table and help herself to a small serving of everything, knowing that if she got too much food at once, she'd just waste it. She took a bite of spaghetti. Wow, Gavin's right, this is good. I didn't know I was this good of a cook. I normally can't cook to save my life! she thought. Score for Team Dee.

Gavin looked up as he took a bite of the spaghetti and saw Delilah staring at him, her mouth practically open and it made his cheeks turn bright red. He hoped she was appreciating the way he looked: admiring him and not thinking about how disgusting he looked or anything

"What are you staring at?!" he asked teasingly, "you've seen me like this before? What? Do I need to work out?"

Delilah blushed even more vividly. "I... was just thinking that you look amazing," she admitted. "I can't get over it. It's like, 'Whoo, way to go, Dee. You have a gorgeous guy. Make sure you treat him well!'" She giggled a little. "You don't need to work out or anything. You're perfect. Absolutely amazing. No improvement needed."

How did I get so lucky? she thought. Attractive, intelligent, makes good money, treats me well... what more could I ask for?

"I even made tiramisu for you," she said, pointing to it. "That was a real pain to make. I hope it came out okay. I'm not normally much of a cook, so it's nothing short of a miracle that so far, the food has proven to be good." She laughed a little. "I wanted to show you how much I love you. Did I do a good job?"

She looked a little anxious and bit her lip. Maybe it'll make him sick later? she thought fearfully.

Gavin blushed again and shook his head as if denying what Delilah had said. He had never seen himself as good looking, even though he knew he was but he couldn't quite accept that people were being genuine with their compliments. Esepcially Delilah as she loved him no matter what, just as he did her

"You're teasing me" he chuckled

He looked at the tiramisu placed delicately in the middle of the table and he smiled, taking up a spoon and tried a little before he'd even finished his spaghetti. Tiramisu was his absolute favorite desert and he didn't even realise Delilah knew it. She knew him so well, and that made him smile

"Oh my god this stuff is great!" Gavin said with a content smile on his face, "you're an amazing cook!"

He leant across the table and put his finger in the neck of Delilah's dress and pulled her across the table to meet him, kissing her passionately and lovingly. He could definately pick girls alright, she was completely perfect

"Of course you did a good job!" Gavin said as he pulled away, "I'm blown away I really am! If it was possible to love you even more I think I would!"

Delilah laughed softly and blushed even more. "I'm glad you like it. I was so worried that the food wouldn't turn out right, or that you'd hate what I made. I'm so glad it worked out!" She smiled and kissed Gavin's hands. "Eat up, darling, and then we can have our bath. Is that motivation enough for you?"

She finished up her spaghetti and set to work eating a small piece of tiramisu. That recipe I found online worked out well, she thought, looking pleased. I love tiramisu, but this... wow, it's some of the best I've had in a while!

She sighed a little, happy. This is the perfect life. A little too perfect? Maybe. But who cares? I'm happy, Gavin's happy... that's what really matters, right? Right. Life is good. Finally finished eating, she set her fork down and dabbed at her mouth with her napkin. Wow, I haven't eaten this much in a while either. I feel nice and full, she thought, pleased.

Gavin smiled and cleared his plate of spaghetti and then polished off a large helping of tiramisu, sitting back and tapping his stomach happily once he was done. If he kept on like this he'd be the size of a house soon, he'd really have to work out if he wanted to keep his six pack

"That...was incredible!" he laughed, closing his eyes, "you're not one of those weird girlfriend who tries to fatten up their guys are you?" he teased

He stood up and walked over to Delilah's side of the table and held out his hand to pull her upright. Once she was standing facing him, he picked her up again and just held her in his arms, kissing her lips

"You didn't need to do all that for me" Gavin whispered, rubbing noses together, "I don't want you to get stressed or raise your blood pressure or anything my darling."

He smiled and whirled Delilah around in his arms so her skirt of her dress billowed out

"But thank you, it was amazing. You're amazing! I love you."

Delilah giggled. "You figured me out," she joked. "I want to make you look like a sumo wrestler! Rats. Guess I'll have to kill you now, eh?" She laughed.

"Now, let's go take that bath, eh?" She headed to the bathroom and filled the tub with hot water. She rummaged through the cabinet and pulled out a container of bubble bath, which she added to the water. Then, taking out a bag, she added some rose petals. There, that's nice, she thought happily. She peeled her clothes off and stepped into the water. Ah... nice and warm. She stretched a little and sighed. Nice.

She smiled at Gavin. "Come on in!" she said. "The water's nice."

Gavin smiled and just watched as Delilah prepared the bath and got in, and he grinned foolishly as she disrobed, throwing her clothes to the ground. Quickly, he ran to the kitchen and poured champagne into one tall glass and fizzy sparkling juice into another tall glass and carried them both to the bathroom where he handed the non-alcoholic one to Delilah. He quickly lit a bunch of candles, switched off the lights and got into the tub beside her, dropping his clothes beside hers

"Come here" he whispered

He lay back and turned Delilah around so she lay with her head on his chest and then he kissed the top of her head, laughing as the bubbles and petals covered most of them both

"This is so nice" he smiled, taking a sip of champagne, "this is how love is meant to be"

Delilah smirked. "Getting tanked? Those nurses must have been really hot," she teased. She sipped her juice, smiling. This is nice, she thought again. "So, do you like your surprise?" she asked, grinning.

She stretched a little, comfortable. She stroked Gavin's hair. "Oh no," she joked, "and just when your hair was getting dry. Oh well." She playfully splashed him and teased, "By the way, your epidermis is showing." She snickered to herself and picked a rose petal off of Gavin's arm.

"A nice hot bath is always good," she remarked. "Even better when you've got someone you love to share it with you." She sipped her juice again and set the glass carefully on the edge of the tub. Don't want to break the glass or have it fall into the tub, she thought.

Gavin smiled and stuck his tongue out at Delilah and splashed her with water a little, poking her gently. He certainly wasn't going to get drunk again, not for a very long time and he knew what epidermis meant, she wasn't going to fool him there. He chuckled and pushed Delilah playfully under water, stopping her just as he head was about to dunk

"Saved your life!" he teased, "your bath is even nicer now that you've got a gorgeous hunky naked man in here with you that you can just shift the bubbles and look act --if you dare!"

He said the last part in a deep mystical voice and then added a shifty deep laugh for good measure, splashing her again

"Looking good!" Gavin snickered, running his fingers delicately up her stomach

Delilah smirked. "Why would I want to look?" she teased. "Nothing I haven't seen already. Besides, there's lots of time for looking later."

She giggled and tickled Gavin's sides. "Besides, I think you're enjoying looking at me more than anything, right? Well, look all you want. I don't care!" She grinned wickedly at Gavin. "Liking what you see, Mr. Ruppetts?"

She leaned back and sipped her juice, smirking a little. "Yeah, yeah, look all you want. I know I'm hot," she joked, sticking her tongue out and making a ridiculous face. She sighed and closed her eyes, relaxing.

Delilah playfully poked at Gavin. "Stop thinking dirty thoughts. I can hear your thoughts. Hey, stop thinking that!" she teased.

Gavin laughed open mouthed and tickled Delilah furiously in the ribs, blushing slightly at how well she knew his thoughts. He was indeed admiring her gorgeous body, even loving the growing little bump where their baby was growing and he placed both his hands cupped over her stomach

"Of course I'm liking what I see!" he chuckled, "because what I see is a beautiful young woman with whom I can share all the love in the world!"

He took another sip of wine and then started to kiss Delilah's neck and ear, tickling and blowing on her skin gently as he did so. He laughed at her comments and started to tickle her again

"Maybe I don't want to stop thinking those thoughts!" he teased, "in fact, maybe I should just play out my thoughts right now!"

Gavin chuckled and moved his hands from her stomach a little lower playfully and bent Delilah's head to kiss her lips passionately

Delilah laughed and allowed Gavin to kiss her. "You naughty, perverted thing," she teased. "Shame on you!"

She playfully splashed more water on him and then stuck several rose petals onto his face, in an interesting design. "Now you're pretty," she joked, putting the petals into heart and star patterns. She grinned broadly and lightly poked Gavin's shoulder. "Cutie."

She leaned back and sighed. What a good life, she thought. Who'd have guessed that I'd meet the man of my dreams at work? And our first kiss... heh... it came about from me joking about how we could make Cecilia jealous. And now... well, we're together, and Cecilia is jealous. Go figure.

She smiled a little and giggled. Well, that's life, she thought. Always unexpected.

Gavin laughed and shook his head a little and all the petals fell from his face, floating back onto the bubbly water and made it look very romantic. For a moment he just fell silent and smiled at Delilah, feeling that words were not necessary right now and all each other needed was their smiles. As long as they were together, he was happy

"I've always been pretty!" he joked in a girly voice

He leant over and kissed Delilah again, tickling her sides and cuddled her

"Don't you think I'm pretty!" he teased, sticking out his lips at her and waggled his bum playfully

"Sure, I think you're pretty," Delilah said with a wink. Then, more seriously, she said, "Maybe we shouldn't be taking so many breaks from work. I mean, we might get fired or something. That kind of thing is possible, you know."

Damn it, why do I always think that kind of stuff? she thought, flinching a little. Way to ruin the moment. Dee, that was a really stupid move there.

"Sorry," she said. "Just worried about... well, being able to get food and pay the bills and all that other stuff. Being mature and boring." She made a face. "It's a bad habit I've gotten into. Crazy as this sounds, you're going to have to teach me how to relax and stop worrying so much."

Wow, never thought I'd find myself saying that to him, she thought.

Gavin's face clouded and he sighed. Great way to turn him on Dee, get him to think about Cecilia - not! He stroked Delilah's arms and sighed to himself again, knowing maybe they should be at work but it wasn't like it mattered. Anything either of them had to say was ignored, plus he'd just spent all day working, he was tired and wanted a break. Wanted to have fun without his fiance, but she had ruined the moment

"Stop stop stop worrying about money!" he whispered, kissing her ear, "please. You don't have any financial problems to worry about anymore! None at all I promise. Hell, you could stop working and we'd still make enough to get by, plus a lot more on top."

Gavin smiled and moved so he was sitting directly behind Delilah and opened his legs for her to sit between. He then started slowly and lovingly massaging her shoulders and back, trying to get her to relax

"I've worked all day" he said softly, still massaging her, "I could use a break! I thought this was my night of surprises and love!"

Delilah nodded, feeling a bit guilty. I've turned into such a work-obsessive weirdo. Maybe because I'm worried about ending up back where I was before, having all this swept out from under me. I know i have nothing to worry about, and yet... I worry! She sighed and closed her eyes, leaning back against Gavin.

I should be enjoying this. It's time with Gavin. But... well... someone has to do work at QC. I mean, the quality and quantity of work has been going downhill. Someone has to worry about the company. I mean, I'm sure Cecilia does, but... well... she's supposed to. Gavin's one of the higher-ups... and yet, he keeps playing hooky. What if he loses his job? Delilah worried.

She sighed and stretched a little. You've become a real worrywart, Dee. It's not healthy for you or the baby. Relax. Stop worrying. You'll have lots to worry about when the baby comes.

Gavin sighed and finished rubbing Delilah's back, leaning forward to kiss her neck and cheeks. He smiled at her and tickled her in the sides gently and then stood up, climbing out of the tub, before turning back and planted another kiss to her forehead

"Relax and enjoy your soak" he told her with a smile, "I'm clearly getting you worried and I don't want to do that. The whole point was I wanted you to relax!"

Gavin laughed a little and grabbed a towel from the closet and toweled himself dry, walking out into the bedroom where he dimmed the lights. Snatching Delilah's bag of rose petals, he sprinkled them all over the large king sized bed and then all over the floor leading from the bathroom to the bed, making it look romantic and then lit dozens of candles. Delilah had cooked him a fantastic meal, now he wanted a chance to relax and seduce her.

"Perfect!" he remarked, examining his handywork. Gavin then slipped off his towel and sat down naked at the top of the bed, glancing through the sketchbook Delilah had given him as he waited for her to finish
