Delilah sighed and laid back, closing her eyes. I scared him away, she thought. Nice job, Dee. She laid in the tub, eyes closed, not sure how much time passed by. She breathed slowly, evenly, her mind clear. And slowly, she drifted off to sleep...

"Whatever happened to the fun-loving woman I used to know?" Gavin shouted. Delilah cowered before him, tears falling from her eyes.

"I'm sorry!" she wailed. "I was just worried about the baby... our lives..."

"That doesn't matter anymore! I'm leaving you for a real woman-- Cecilia!" he said. And with that, he turned and walked away.

Delilah awoke with a start, coughing and spitting water out of her mouth. She shuddered at the dream. "Terrible... terrible..." she muttered, gasping for breath. "I hope that never happens."

Gavin jumped as he heard Delilah coughing and spluttering in the bathroom and he quickly ran to her side, throwing on a pair of boxers as he entered the bathroom. He let out a sigh of relief when he discovered she was okay and he walked over to her, holding out his hands to help her up

"What's wrong? What happened?" he asked, his voice tainted with concern

Gavin paused and looked down on Delilah, helping her into a standing position and he furrowed his eyebrows

"Are you okay?" he asked, seeing her tremble, "you're shaking!"

Delilah coughed and gasped out, "I fell asleep in the tub and had the most horrible dream ever." She shuddered a little. "And then, when I woke up, I ended up swallowing lots of water. Some luck, eh?" She wrapped her arms tightly around Gavin, shuddering more at the thought.

I could have died. And my baby would have died too, she thought. And Gavin... he'd have been devastated! I really should be more careful!

Delilah made her way to the bedroom and curled up on the bed. I never want to sleep again, after that dream, she thought. She stared up at Gavin. I know it won't happen for real, but still, I don't want to think about it. That horrible, horrible dream. Urgh.

She pulled the blankets around her, trying to stop her shivering. She was cold. Cold, and more than a bit frightened. Gav, don't leave me, she thought.

Gavin frowned and followed a still shaking Delilah into the bedroom, wondering what had happened to her and why she could possibly be so afraid. He crawled under the covers and put his arms tightly around her, pressing his body against hers to try and stop her from shivering

"What was the dream?" he asked concerned

He turned Delilah around to face him and lifted her chin with his hand

"Tell me Dee" he said sternly

He wanted to comfort her and make her feel better, but he was afraid to hear about her dream, it couldn't have been good to make her shiver so terribly. And that meant Gavin probably didn't want to hear it. Maybe it was about the baby, maybe there was something she wasn't telling him

"Come on I love you, what was it?" he persisted

Delilah flinched slightly. "I had a dream that you got sick of me worrying so much and left me for Cecilia," she said bluntly. She made a face. "I told you it was a really bad dream." She rolled over, facing away from Gavin, and pulled the blankets even tighter around herself. Horrible dream. Terrible. Gavin leaving me for Cecilia... of all people... she thought, feeling a combination of anger, disgust, and dismay.

"Horrible," she muttered. "Of all the things I could dream about. Never mind that I fell asleep in the tub-- stupid move there-- but I had to have a nightmare like that. Why me?"

She sighed and rolled over to face Gavin. "I know it's not actually going to happen, but still... it was really bad. Really scary," she said. "I hope I never have that dream again, ever."

She closed her eyes tightly, trying to force her memories of the dream to leave her mind. Begone, demon, she thought. But the memory remained as clear as ever.

Gavin looked sadly at Delilah and put his arms even tighter around her, pulling her into his chest and kissed the top of her head. He sighed and thought about it, wondering what he could do to put her mind at ease, he was never going to leave her, least not for Cecilia

"Okay," he whispered, kissing her ear, "think about me, think about our upcoming wedding and our honeymoon and how much I completely and utterly adore you! Don't think about me leaving you, because baby, it's never going to happen!"

He sighed and climbed out of the bed, reaching over and tucked Delilah into the bed snugly, stroking her hair

"I love you Dee, just you. Don't think about that again, it's not worth it and it'll just get you stressed."

Gavin bent down and kissed her forehead, stroking her back and neck lovingly

"I'll go get you a drink" he smiled, "and then maybe you and I can have a cuddle and maybe you'll understand how much I care about you."

"Thanks," Delilah replied weakly. She waited for Gavin to leave, and then pulled the covers over her head.

Oh God, what a horrible dream, she thought again. I've had some really scary nightmares before, but this one... ugh.

She sighed and shuddered some more. She wanted to cry, scream, and hide, all at once. It was her biggest fear, and it was as though her mind had chosen to taunt her, to torture her and take away her joy. Horrible, she thought again.

"Why?" she muttered. "Why can't I just be happy? Why does my mind have to screw with me?"

She sat up, awaiting Gavin's return. Make me forget, she thought. I know you won't leave me, but I can't forget that nightmare.

Gavin ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, flicking on the light switch and then buried through all the cupboards, looking for the aspirin and then set the kettle off to make a hot drink for Delilah. As he waited for it to boil, he sat on the counter and thought about Delilah and the dream she'd just had, wondering how he could possibly help her loose her worries and self-consciousness. She had no reason to fear him leaving her, why couldn't she understand how much he loved her? A thought popped into his head and he snatched up the cordless phone, quickly dialling the number of his pinked haired cousin that also doubled as his assistant and talked quickly

"Hey Jess, hows it going? Yea I'm still with Delilah...yes we're still getting married...in less than a week actually. Yea I'm excited. Anyway, I was wondering if you could do me a favour...eleven red roses and one china white rose...yes please. Thank Jess. Yep, love you lots too."

Gavin hung up the phone with a smile and waited while his cousin sent in his order, and sure enough ten minutes later the flower shop down the road knocked on the door.

"Thanks!" he laughed, taking the bundle

He quickly fixed Delilah a hot coffee and rushed back up the stairs to the bedroom, gently stroking her forehead and sat down beside her, hiding the package behind his make and giggled

"How are you feeling?" Gavin asked, smirking to himself

Delilah smiled weakly. "Better," she finally said.

Aside from, y'know, still thinking about the nightmare and all, but otherwise... she thought wryly. She reached out and stroked Gavin's hair, trying to forget about the dream.

She peered at him, noticing that he was hiding something behind his back. "Hm? What's that?" she asked. "What are you trying to hide from me?" She tried to peek at what it was, but she couldn't catch sight of anything.

Oh God, he's got a knife and is going to kill me! she thought, then couldn't help but smirk at her overactive imagination. No, that's just stupid, Dee. If he wanted to kill you, he'd at least pick a cleaner method. Ohhh, there's my weird sense of humor kicking in.

Gavin smiled and moved his lips onto Delilah's gently before pulling away again and grinned at her naughtily. He hoped she would soon be forgetting about the nightmare, or hoped at least she would realise is was never going to come true. Maybe his gesture would help her affirm that

"Hmm am I hiding something from you?" he asked, pretending to smile innocently

Gavin then showed her the package of eleven red roses along with a white china rose, and grinned, handing them out to her

"Okay, you want a promise" he said seriously, looking Delilah in the eye, "I promise I'll love you until the last one of those dozen roses dies."

He smiled warmly and took her hand, kissing her palm gently as he placed the bundle in her lap, watching her reaction curiously

Delilah raised an eyebrow. Promises were nice, but Gavin clearly hadn't thought this through. "Yeah, and what if some idiot drops it?" she asked. "Then, technically, wouldn't it be dead?"

Promises never last forever, she thought. Shut up, and stop quoting lousy pop songs, she told her pessimistic side. Wait, one more, her pessimistic side continued, Words like love and happiness never seem to stand up, baby, when you put them to the test. Delilah twitched a little. I am having an argument with myself. Now, listen, me, stop quoting bad songs and face the facts-- Gavin loves me. Besides, if he knew I was having an argument with myself, he'd think I was insane.

Out loud, Delilah finally said, "They're very nice. Sorry for the stupid comment. I wasn't thinking."

Gavin sighed heavily and climbed off the bed and away from Delilah, pulling on a pair of sweat pants to sleep in and thought about what she had said. A simple thank you would have been fine, a thank you a smile and a kiss would have been perfect, but no, instead she had to be sinical and twist everything he did. Surely the fact that he'd proposed, bought her an entire jewellry shop, turned down every proposition Cecilia made was enough to please her. But then again, clearly it wasn't

"I'm going to sleep" he announced, climbing back into the bed and under the covers, turning his back to Delilah, "I hope you feel better in the morning, if you have a nightmare again you can just wake me up."

He sighed and closed his eyes, finally giving up on trying to make Delilah understand how much he loved her. Everytime he tried she wasn't satisfied and even when he tried to comfort her she didn't accept it. She was fast turning into a pessimiste

"Night" Gavin whispered, closing his eyes again although it was certain he wouldn't get to sleep

Delilah sighed. She felt bad about being so mean. Hormones. Damn hormones, she thought. He probably hates me now. Great. Way to go, Dee. You just p*ssed off the only guy who cares about you. Nice job.

She rolled over and buried her face in the pillow. She allowed herself to cry silently, letting the pillow soak up her tears. Just like old times, she thought wryly. She shuddered. Now that dream is going to happen! He's going to leave me... alone... pregnant... This was too much for Delilah. She let out a brief, audible sob, then froze, fearful that Gavin had heard her. Don't show weakness, Dee. Weakness does two things-- it lets people walk all over you, and it scares men away!

Delilah pulled the blankets even tighter around herself, willing herself to disappear, to make all the problems go away. Any miracle. But none came.

Sleep just wouldn't come. Gavin opened and shut his eyes continuously and shuffled around in the bed but he wasn't able to get to sleep. As he felt the blankets being pulled off him, he heard Delilah let out a loud sob and he quickly turned over to put a hand on her shoulder

"Are you crying?" he asked, turning her round to face him

Gavin touched her cheek and then pulled her into his embrace, letting her cry into his chest if she wanted to. She clearly wasn't accepting of anything at the moment, and he instantly felt mean for being so cold with her, and he kissed the top of her head

"Are you crying?" he repeated, "what's wrong? You shouldn't be crying honey, you've got a guy that loves you more than life itself and in a couple of months time you're going to be having a gorgeous little baby to look after and you'll be the best mum in the world. What's wrong?"

Delilah, after a few seconds, managed to find her voice. "I just... feel bad about being so mean to you. These damn pregnancy hormones have my mind all out of whack. I didn't mean to sound so cruel. It's a great gift, really. Honest." She smiled and wiped the tears from her face and then squeezed Gavin tightly. "I love you, sweetie. I'm just used to... well... whenever there's something I have that I love or is going well, it gets taken away from me. I'm just scared that's going to happen, even though I know it's not."

She sighed and squeezed him tightly. "I didn't mean to hurt you. Honest. I spoke without thinking."

Please... forgive me, she thought.

Gavin sighed. This was how their relationship was going to progress, arguments apologies arguments apologies arguments apologies. There was barely space for love anymore, the buring love for his fiance that overpowered him and enveloped every thought and action. But Delilah was pregnant, and he had to forgive her for being snappy, it was just how she was with those hormones

"There's nothing to forgive" he said, squeezing her back in return so she knew he wasn't mad at her. Concerned was a better word, "sometimes I just don't think about what I'm doing. Sorry"

Gavin sighed again but kept his arms around Delilah, slowly and subconsciously stroking her hair and back. He wanted to smother her in kisses and never let her go, but maybe she was a little p*ssed at him, p*ssed that he was being so cold

"Of course I'm not going to get taken away from you" he smiled, lingering before her lips, "what kind of guy do you think I am! Leave a gorgeous girl like you while you're pregnant" he teased

He grinned and cocked his head to the side

"Oh, and the fact that I love you to the moon and back!"

Delilah closed her eyes briefly, promising herself that she would start thinking before speaking, especially now. Lucky for me, Gavin is understanding, she thought. No relationship is without arguments, but lately... well... we've been having a lot of arguments, all of which were my fault.

She rested her head against Gavin's chest, relaxing. This is how things are supposed to be. We're not supposed to fight and quibble so much, she thought. She sighed and wrapped her arms around his waist. Gavin does so much for me. The least I can do is be kind and agreeable. He deals with enough stupidity everywhere else. She paused for a moment, and then thought, The wedding's coming up. Soon, you will be Delilah Stanton-Ruppetts. Make sure he never regrets it.

"I know you won't leave me," she said. "You're a good enough person to where you wouldn't feel right doing something like that. But still... it's kind of like being scared of, say, rabbits-- you know nothing's going to happen, but your mind likes to come up with all kinds of nasty scenarios about what MIGHT happen."

Cecilia sighed. She finally decieded to take a day off and she realized it was good to do nothing for once. She had told Micheal that he had to get his own place soon and her stomach was a little bigger. She finally got bored and took her phone.

How have you been lately? I took a day off and I love to do nothing for once. Hehe. So... what if you and I go grab some coffee today?

She put her phone back on the table and turned on the tv. FashionTV had been down all day so she couldn't watch that. Instead of FashionTV she watched a nice romantic/action movie.

Gavin woke early the following morning, excited that their wedding was now only days away and everything was perfect and in place. He quickly took a sneak peak at the white and black tuxedo that hung in his closest, his perfect groom outfit and he also get peaking at the two gold rings in the back pocket. It was going to be incredible. He padded down the stairs and into the kitchen where he began to make breakfast and clear up the mess Delilah had left yesterday on his instruction. Ten minutes later he walked back upstairs, balancing two bowls of cereal, two glasses of orange juice and two milky teas on a serving tray.

"Breakfast is served me lady" Gavin smiled as he walked into the room

He placed it down on the bedside table and got back into bed, taking sips from his tea when his cell phone vibrated

"Don't stare at my *ss this time!" he teased Delilah as he bent down over the side of the bed to pick up his phone: Cecilia. He hurriedly typed a reply, sighing to himself and moved to stroke Delilah's forehead

I've been pretty good thanks. Delilah made me dinner last night so I'm stuffed
Sure I'd love to go for coffee sometime later

When Cecilia got a reply she quickly grabbed her phone and sighed.

"Oh god..."

If I say no, you wouldn't come and we would have a fight again so why not.

Her mood had changed in seconds and she made herself some breakfast, not caring to look happy at all. She ate it and then put it in the dishwasher. She walked over to the bedroom where she looked at herself. While her stomach grew bigger everyday she started realizing that there would be no father at all.

Gavin laughed and kissed Delilah, stroking her back fondly and then handed her the bowl of cereal. He chuckled and just watched her pretty face as she ate her breakfast, jumping as his cell phone vibrated again and caught him off guard, his cheeks turning red

Gavin sighed and smiled at the text, thinking Cecilia made him laugh even with her texts. He didn't want to go to coffee with her without Delilah, but nothing would happen between them, nothing at all

"I guess I'm going to coffee with C later!" he sighed

Cecilia quickly dressed herself and put on a big t-shirt, so her belly wouldn't come under it. She put her hair in a ponytail and grabbed her keys and coat. She walked out, locked the door and got to her car. She drove to 'Tea 'n Coffee'.

Delilah raised her eyebrow, eating silently. What's with all the texts today? she thought. Cecilia again? She sighed. Why can't she get her own man and leave mine alone? Doesn't she know Gavin has a life and family of his own to take care of? He can't go running to her every accursed time she needs him for anything.

She made a face. Get a life, she thought, rather hatefully. You only wanted Gavin because I did. Move along, little girl. You've lost. Now go find some guy to take care of you. She was surprised at her own cruel bitterness.

"Why do you have to do what she wants?" she finally asked. "You know she only does this because she knows you'll listen, that you'll go meet up with her." She finished eating and set her food aside.

Gavin sighed and put his arm around Delilah's shoulder and leant against her, sneaking a bit of cereal from her bowl and put it in his mouth playfully. He wasn't sure what to do, although he knew that if he had to choose between the two girls, Delilah would win hands down. But Cecilia didn't have anyone at the moment and she wasn't having any fun

"How about a comprimise?" he asked, tracing a finger down her nose

"I go to see Cecilia for a few minutes and you get all dressed up in your fanciest frock -plus a swimming costume- and then I'll take you out for a nice fancy lunch and then to the beach for the day?" he paused, knowing that wasn't enough for her but he prayed she'd accept. She must know how much he loved her

"Deal?" he asked, kissing her neck, "because if thats not okay I won't go."

Delilah sighed. She'd have liked it better if Gavin didn't go see Cecilia-- to her way of thinking, he was only enabling the woman and making her more dependant-- but it wasn't as though she could tell him what he could or couldn't do. She bit her lip, hesitant. "Deal," she finally said, albeit reluctantly.

Well, what more can I do, right? I'd be happier if Cecilia would just get out of our lives as much as possible, but that, evidently, is out of the question, she thought, making a face. It's not so much Cecilia who bothers me, it's her behavior. I just wish she'd, well, grow up!

Delilah smiled, pretending that she did not care that Gavin would be spending some time with Cecilia. "That sounds fun. Besides," she couldn't help but add, "you and I both know that if you don't go, Cecilia will just whine and complain and say that I'm being a pain and all."

Gavin smiled and kissed Delilah's nose lovingly, hoping she'd understand that he had to see Cecilia. Not only was she both of their bosses and held the key to their career, but he was her only friend. If she started anything, or brought up the 'magnet' he'd walk

"Thanks for understanding darling" he whispered

He knew she wasn't exactly happy about him going to see Cecilia, but he sensed there was something deeper there too. She hated the woman with a passion, he knew that and rightly so, but he hoped it wouldn't make her hate him too

"But until then," Gavin giggled, running his hands down Delilah's body, "why don't we make the most of our day off and have some fun that we haven't had in a long while! What is this? Saving it all up for the honeymoon?" he teased

Delilah smirked a little. "Yeah, I am. Longer you wait, the better it gets," she joked, playfully poking Gavin's arm. She laughed and hugged him. "You go have coffee with Cecilia, but don't visit with her too long, or I'll run off and marry someone else," she teased. "There's lots of guys who probably think I'm reasonably attractive."

She giggled and leaned against Gavin. "I'm just teasing," she reassured him. "You know I don't plan on leaving you, not for any reason."

She smiled to herself, picturing them relaxing on the beach, stretched out on towels and basking in the warm sun. It was a nice, comforting mental image, soothing and reassuring. She liked it.

"Now go and meet up with Cecilia. The sooner you get it done, the sooner you can get back to me."

Gavin chuckled and poked Delilah back in the ribs playfully and tickled her, pinning her down on the bed. He let out an evil cackle and pulled her pyjamas off her, throwing them to the floor and started to kiss her chest, however he stopped after a couple of minutes and with a cheeky grin he sat back up again

"Yea maybe waiting is better!" he teased, winking at her as he knew how much he was teasing her. Getting her excited and taking it away, practically tortue

He sighed and put his arms lovingly around Delilah, sticking his tongue out at her

"I'm sure some guy somewhere must think you're moderately attractive" he joked, tracing his index finger down her nose and lips, "because I certainly don't! Urgh you repulse me!" he teased

Gavin smirked and bit down on Delilah's bottom lip

"You know I'm only joking darling" he whispered, "and I don't want to go see C yet. I want my Delilah. You're mine, mine!" he shrieked like a young child, grinning at her

Cecilia entered the shop and sat down at an empty table. After a while there was still no sign of Gavin. He wasn't going to come. She knew it. Delilah had probably cried or she had probably gotten angry and now he wasn't coming, simple.

A woman walked to her table and asked if she wanted anything to drink. Cecilia nodded and ordered a cappucino. The woman handed it to her.

"Thanks" she said, with a sad tone in her voice.

She slowly started sipping it and stared out of the window.

Delilah giggled. "Well, maybe I don't want to be yours!" she joked, teasing Gavin. "Maybe I want to become a HIM groupie. Mmm, Ville Valo." She laughed and tickled Gavin. "But remember, you're... MINE!" she added, shrieking like a child. She grinned and stroked Gavin's hair. "And believe me, if you think I'm horrible-looking, then tough luck, because you're stuck with me."

"Stuck," she repeated, in an ominious voice.

She threw the blankets over his head and laughed. "It's the blanket ghost!" she joked.

She laughed and ran away from him and hid in the closet.

Gavin laughed and ran after Delilah, watching with amusement as she hid in the closet. He leant against the door and pretended to yawn, leaning against it hard so she couldn't get out and played with the blankets she'd thrown over his head

"Hmm, I wonder why Delilah is!" he teased

He then looked up at the clock on the wall and swore, realising what time it was and he hurried to dress himself, running a brush through his hair as Delilah was still in the closet. He quickly leant against the closet door again and groaned in a spooky voice

"Maybe the blanket ghost got her!" he teased

Gavin sighed and made kissy noises as he put his shoes on

"Got to go see Cecilia, Dee. I know I'm yours and that won't change. Love you lots, come meet me in about half an hour and I'll take you out" he called, "look gorgeous!"

Gavin laughed and then ran out of the house, getting into his car and drove to Tea'n'Coffee, a new place where he hadn't been before

Cecilia looked up as he finally arrived. After about an hour. She still couldn't put a smile on and waited for him to enter the shop.

"Over here" she said as she waved.

As he walked over to the table she put on a little smile. He was way too late. And she hated it. But she wasn't going to ask or bring up why he was late or just say he was late, because that would make them fight. The reason why he was late would simply be: Delilah. And all of their fights were about her, so she wouldn't ask.

"How are you?" she asked. "I'm perfectly fine, except my cappucino is a little cold"

Gavin sat down opposite Cecilia and chose to ignore any comment she made about him being late. Afterall, they hadn't agreed a time to have coffee, and if he wanted to spend time with his fiance, then he would do. He had shown up, hadn't he!

"Sorry," he said with a smile, "you been here long then?"

He looked out of the window nonchalontly, sighing to himself as he ordered a black coffee and checked his shirt, unfortunately of which three top buttons had come undone and his chest was on show. Turning red, he hurried to fasten them, smiling uncomfortably at Cecilia

"Enjoying your day off?" he asked with a smile, "what you gunna be doing today?"

Gavin looked out of the window and then checked his watch, thinking about Delilah and where he planned on taking her when she arrived. He was going to make today special for her as they'd had so many fights recently, a normal happy day for a normal happy couple in love

Cecilia smiled. "It's ok, I understand." she said softly.

She laughed as he fastened the buttons and turned red. She didn't even notice it.

"I'm enjoying it yes, it's great to just do nothing. Oh... and i'm actually not going to do something today, it's my day off and I will just relax. How have you been?"

She ordered a new cappucino and sipped it.

Gavin smiled and sat back in his chair, quietly sipping his black coffee. He wasn't sure what was going through Cecilia's mind, but from the looks of things she didn't look too eager to try anything with him. Maybe she'd finally learnt her lesson and was willing to be friends with him

"I've been pretty good thanks" he replied with a grin, "Dee cooked a homemade meal last night and it was fabulous!"

He chuckled and sat back again, downing the remainder of his coffee and began to worry maybe he was going back to his old ways. Downing coffee in minutes was something he always used to do, especially after a hard nights partying

"How's the pregnancy going?" Gavin asked, "found out who the father is yet? Are you going to get back together with him...I think he deserves it"

He stopped, figuring she didn't need lecturing

"What did she make?" she asked, smiling. She sipped her cappucino again.

She then leaned back and looked out of the window, the weather wasn't really great, so only a few people were outside.

"How's the pregnancy going?" Gavin asked, "found out who the father is yet? Are you going to get back together with him...I think he deserves it"

"They don't even remember it, I mean, I think I know who it is but he left the next day, I don't want to contact him." she said, a sad tone in her voice. "And as far as the pregnancy goes, it's pretty good, and look, i'm getting fat" she laughed and sipped her cappucino again.

Gavin raised his eyebrows at Cecilia's comment, not even bothering to look at her. How could she possibly be getting a pregnancy bump after only a couple of weeks? He sighed and then smiled at her again

"Not getting an abortion then?" he asked, realising he was on dangerous ground and attempted to get off it: quickly

"What did she make?" she asked, smiling. She sipped her cappucino again.

Gavin smiled and let his mind drift back to the previous evening, enjoying it all over again

"Spaghetti" he said eventually, "and tiramisu! It was incredible! I go weak at the knees for a great cook!"

"Oh I love spaghetti, when I was young, we had 'spaghetti-day' seriously, it rocked." she laughed and emptied her cappucino cup.

"I thinkk Bob's cappucino is better." she said with a giggle, looking at the cup.

"The weather is really strange... it's so dark outside but still it hasn't rained yet." she looked at him and laughed again. "A conversation about the weather, hehe."

I wonder what he's thinking... hmmm.

"You really drink your coffee faast." she smiled.

Gavin chuckled and examined his own coffee cup, nodding a little. The coffee here wasn't great but it would do. He craved the cafeine to keep himself going, until the time he could go out with Delilah and relax, cause right now he felt completely on guard and ready for anything. He couldn't relax around Cecilia, not with the unreciprocated feelings she had for him

"Yea the weather is pretty sucky right now!" he laughed, "I was planning on taking Delilah to the beach but I guess it's not meant to be right!" he chuckled

Gavin sighed and glanced out of the huge glass window again, willing for the skies to clear and the sun to come out so they could have the perfect day he was planning in his head. Once she arrived, which he hoped would be sometime soon, he would take her out for lunch and then maybe the beach or she could go shopping and buy whatever she liked with his credit cards, and then they could even go away for a few days together or something: book a nice little cottage up North for a couple of nights before the wedding. Somewhere for them to be together in each others love and have no interruptions or distractions.

Cecilia looked at the sky.

"Maybe there's a storm coming or something. That wouldn't be good." she twirled her cappucino cup and looked around the room.

"You should take an umberella and take her on a long beach walk." she then said with a laugh. She didn't want to fight about Delilah anymore. She was going to be nice to her, but if Delilah started doing hateful things, it would be over.

"So... how's Delilah's pregnancy?" she then asked, her voice a little softer.

Gavin smiled and laughed a little, thinking about what he could do with Delilah. He wanted to be outdoors with her and look after her and he wanted her to have a fun time with him: to remind him why she originally fell for him

"Thanks for being understanding" he laughed, "got any more ideas? What do girls like their guys doing for them? Especially when it's raining?"

He chuckled and took a sip from his coffee, loving the hot liquid down his throat as the skies darkened outside and the air became cooler. It made him feel safer, more secure in the knowelege that he was inside and warm

"So... how's Delilah's pregnancy?" she then asked, her voice a little softer.

Gavin noticed Cecilia's tone of voice change and he quirked an eyebrow. Clearly she didn't like asking the question

"It's going really well!" he laughed, "she's a couple of months along now. So I guess she'll be popping one out first! Luckily she still fits into her wedding dress! It's gunna be blue you know, and my tuxedo's white. Nothing's quite ordinary!"

"Hmmm... dinner by campfire, hehe." she laughed and smiled at him.

"It's going really well!" he laughed, "she's a couple of months along now. So I guess she'll be popping one out first! Luckily she still fits into her wedding dress! It's gunna be blue you know, and my tuxedo's white. Nothing's quite ordinary!"

"That's cool, I personally think white tuxedo's are prettier than black ones. I love white tuxedo's. Very classy. And the blue dress, nice. Will it be babyblue, darkblue, skyblue? Or don't you know anything yet but the fact that it's blue?" she laughed.

"You should play 'Hey There Delilah' on the wedding." she joked.

Gavin laughed and pretended to write down everything Cecilia was saying on his hand. He chuckled and sat back, thinking. Dinner by a campfire...candles...romance. If he could pull it off it would be pretty awesome, and they'd both have a great time, maybe Delilah would fall in love with him all over again

"Thanks C!" he laughed, "maybe I'll try some of it out!"

He chuckled again and looked at Cecilia, wondering what she was thinking

"I know that her dress is blue, I don't really know the difference between different blues!" he laughed, "and I thought the groom wasn't supposed to see the bride in the dress before the wedding!"

She laughed again.

"I guess, I thought she may have told you, who knows?" she tried to sip her cappucino but realized it was empty.

"Argh!" she groaned and then giggled. She ordered another one and quickly sipped it, burning her tongue.

"Oh my god" she said. "I burned my tongue" she laughed and leaned back.

"So where did you get your tuxedo? Is it pretty? Oh wait nevermind, if it wasn't you wouldn't have bought it right?" she then took a deep breath.

"It's my first day off and I just can't stop talking."

Gavin laughed and raised his eyebrows again, what was that supposed to mean? He was shallow? Or he had nice clothes? He hoped it wasn't a backhanded comment, one that was so typical from Cecilia's mouth

"Careful!" he laughed as she burnt her tongue. Good job you don't need to use it, he added to himself, pursing his lips at her

He sighed and stopped himself from ordering another coffee, reminding himself that Delilah wouldn't want him to divulge on too much caffeine. It wouldn't be good for him, and it certainly wouldn't do him any good for his temper.

"Yea the tuxedo is great!" Gavin smiled, "maybe I'll wear it for my stag night!" he teased

"Now don't go and tease me" she laughed. "And my tongue is already way better, don't worry, I can talk all day long." she teased and took another sip.

"I'm really curious of how it looks now" she smiled and looked outside again. But too bad I'll never find out... she thought, sighing.

"Do you want something to eat? A donut or something?" she called the waiter and ordered a donut for herself.

She looked at Gavin. "Do you want one?"

The waiter suddenly looked very angry. "Hurry!" she said.

Woah... why is she so angry?
Cecilia looked at Gavin, trying to make him understand what she thought.

Gavin raised his eyebrows once again and shook his head, wondering what on earth was going on. Why was the waiter angry? Stupid g*t, some people just had to be moody for no reason

"Nah I'm good thanks!" he said, looking uncomfortable as he sat back

He looked at Cecilia and signalled to her with his eyebrows. He had known it wasn't a good idea to come here and now he was really regretting it, why couldn't he have just stayed at home and mucked about with Delilah

"I really don't want anything" he added, closing his eyes for a moment

He sighed

"My tuxedo is really nice!" he laughed, "white and tight fitting!"

She smiled softly and looked down at the table. What had she done wrong NOW? It was like she couldn't do anything good around those people. Maybe it wasn't her fault. Maybe it was just him who acted so strange everytime.

She was glad he laughed.

"You'll look good in a white tuxedo." she smiled politely and ate her donut.

Gavin smiled and reached out his hand to try and comfort Cecilia but quickly retracted it again on hearing Delilah's words a few weeks ago: there was a difference between being comforting and being flirty, and he didn't want to cross the border, not for anything

"You saying I don't look good normally!" he laughed

He smield and shook his hand, wondering whether she'd actually answer that and he was hoping she wouldn't. He was teasing her, but not going over the top, he hoped

"Are you okay?" he joked, "p*ssed off at the moody waiter?"

She looked up as he touched her hand but he pulled away. Which was the best, she didn't want Delilah come run in and get all angry at her.

"You saying I don't look good normally!" he laughed.

She smiled. "I'm so not going to answer that question" she sipped her cappucino and then put it back on the table slowly. Right after that she took a bite of her donut.

"Are you okay?" he joked, "p*ssed off at the moody waiter?"

"No" she joked, pretending to sob. "Yeah I'm ok." she laughed. "I'm not p*ssed off but that's rude. I mean, what's wrong with that waiter?"

Gavin smiled and looked at the waiter, pursing his lips and then looked back at Cecilia

"Enjoying that donut!" he chuckled

He laughed again and looked back out of the window, wondering what he was going to do now. He'd spent a long time with Cecilia, and Delilah would hopefully be arriving soon, so he could take her out soon

"Thanks for the company" he chuckled, "but I'm gunna get going now."

Gavin stood up and smiled and waved at Cecilia, chucking a couple of notes onto the table to pay for both of their drinks and her donut

"Have a fun day" he smiled, walking out of the cafe and down the sidewalk, sitting back down on bench and waited for Delilah, waited for her to arrive so they could start the day he was planning

Cecilia waved back and smiled. She emptied her cappucino cup and ate her donut. She stood up, grabbed her coat and walked out of the café. Gavin was sitting there.

"When is she going to be here?" she asked. "I mean, it's quite cold and you shouldn't stay out that long." she looked at him and a smile appeared on her face.

"Have fun with her." she said. "And think of the long walk on the beach with the umberella and the dinner by campfire." she winked and leaned against the wall.

Gavin looked up and sighed as Cecilia appeared beside him, maybe Delilah would get angry if he saw him talking to her, but he had tried to walk away, he had

"She'll be here soon" he said simply, "I'll be fine"

He looked up and smiled,

"Have fun today, and don't do anything to stressfull, for the baby!"

"Babies" she corrected him, giggling.

"But I need to go now, bye!" she waved at him. "Thanks for the nice day"

She started walking down the street, smiling and not stopping. Their first conversation without fighting. Their friendship was improving. She took her Gucci sunglasses from her bag and put them on. It looked like the ending of a movie, as she walked there. She then put her glasses in the bag again, since the sun wasn't shining and it would look too diva.

Cecilia smiled as the local people where she bought her magazines, and food greeted her.

Delilah finished packing the bag and fixed her hair. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror. "There we go," she murmured. "I'm pretty."

She picked up her bag and umbrella and hurried out of the house. "Looks like rain's coming," she remarked to herself, climbing into her car and tossing her belongings into the backseat.

She drove over to the cafe, where Gavin and Cecilia were supposed to meet up. She noticed Gavin sitting nearby.

"Hey, gorgeous," she called out the window. "I was looking for my fiance, but I think I'd rather spend some time with you," she joked. "Come on in." She laughed and opened the door for Gavin. "One of my friends borrowed my car for the past few months-- long story-- and she dropped it off a few minutes ago. So, before you ask, no, I did not steal this."

Gavin smiled and stuck two fingers in his mouth and wholf-wistled at Delilah teasingly, raising to his feet and walked over to the stopped car. He leant in the open window and kissed her gently, then pulled back and looked up at the sky

"Hey there gorgeous" he teased, "you look exactly like my date for tonight!"

He laughed and got into the car beside Delilah, giving her hand a quick squeeze before looking her outfit up and down. She looked gorgeous, as usual, but her dress and hair made her look like an angel or a goddess or something, making him blush furiously

"You look great!" Gavin said honestly, "and I think you're getting too boisterous(sp?) If you start driving me around what's that gunna look like!" he joked

He smiled and patted his dampened hair

"So your highness, where would you like to go? Maybe dinner on the beach, picnic? A long walk on the beach with an umbrella?" he asked, snickering at Cecilia's suggestions. He had to admit, they were good ones: a first for her!

Delilah shrugged. "Anything you want, sweetie," she replied. She reached into the bag she'd packed and pulled out a towel. She tossed the towel onto Gavin's lap. "Here, dry yourself off, before you get sick," she instructed him. Delilah watched Gavin dry off, grinning a little.

"So, I guess it drizzled or something over here?" she asked. "Do you think maybe it's going to be raining when we get to the beach? Because, you know, if so, maybe a picnic on the beach might be a bad idea. I do like the idea of a picnic, though, don't get me wrong."

Delilah sat back, trying to think of something that she and Gavin could do. "So," she said, to stall a bit, "how did the meeting with Cecilia go?" She gently squeezed Gavin's hand. "Did you have fun?"

Gavin smiled and towelled off his damp hair, chucking the towel into the back seat once he was done and took Delilah's hand as she drove. Where to go? What to do? The choices were many and stretched out in front of them, they could choose to do anything

"Fancy a swim in the ocean?" he laughed, "I love swimming while it's raining!"

He smiled and checked out of the window, it didn't look too cold

"The meeting went okay" he continued, addressing her second question, "Cecilia seems to have calmed down a lot! She was even comfortable talking about you and me! Crazy huh?!"

Delilah laughed as well. "Swimming while it's raining is fun, except there's a risk of getting hurt. You know, lightning and all. But, hey, if you want to do some 'extreme swimming' or whatever, that's on you. Personally, I'd like to live as long as possible and be a pain in the butt to my kids and grandkids." She grinned and rubbed her belly.

"Seriously, though, if you still want to do the picnic thing, I'm sure we can find a covered area somewhere outdoors, like at a park or something. That might work," she suggested.

She listened as Gavin talked about the meeting with Cecilia. "It's great that she's calmed down," Delilah said approvingly. "I guess being pregnant has had something of a maturing effect on her. I just hope it lasts, you know?"

Gavin stuck his tongue out at Delilah and playfully whacked her on the arm as she drove, a big grin spreading rapidly across his face. Extreme swimming: sounding fun he had to admit, especially if it meant spending the day with Delilah without any interruptions

"Nonesense!" he chuckled, "a promised you a nice lunch out and that's what you're going to get. Let's go to the fanciest restaurant in town, chuck a load of food into a doggy-bag and then off for a picnic in the park!" he teased

He nodded again at the mention of Cecilia, rolling his eyes

"I'd raise a glass to that!" he laughed, "as long as she doesn't want to jump on me anymore I'm fine! Girls are like buses, for ages you don't get any and then two come along at once! Good job I caught the right one though, right?"

Gavin laughed and sat back with his eyes closed for a minute

"Once the rain clears do you want to go for a walk on the beach?" he asked with a smile

Delilah laughed and playfully slapped back as Gavin jokingly hit her arm. "You know, that's abuse," she teased. "Treat me like royalty, or I'm telling the cops!"

She grinned, listening to his idea. She did like the idea-- get some good food from a nice restaurant, get it to go, and eat the food as a picnic meal. Much better than having me try to whip up a huge picnic meal on the fly, she thought approvingly. "I like the idea," she said. "Let's go ahead and do that."

Delilah listened as Gavin spoke about Cecilia. It certainly was nice not to have to hear about Cecilia flirting with Gavin, or trying to get into his pants, or any of that stuff they'd dealt with in the past. "Yeah, you picked the right 'bus,'" she joked. "I think the choice was between the band tour bus that's seen better days, or a brand new Greyhound bus." She laughed.

She sighed and then added, "And you know... a walk on the beach does sound very nice."

Gavin smiled and waited as Delilah drove to a very fanciest restaurant and then stopped the car and he leapt out first. Opening her car door for her, he bowed low and kissed the knuckles of her right hand, a mischievious grin on his face

"Your majesty!" he said with a wink, "am I treating you enough like royalty?"

He chuckled and walked hand in hand into the restaurant, which was mostly empty and he knocked his fist gently on the reception desk, waiting for someone to arrive. He grinned and put on a very posh accent

"I would like three of your most expensive dishes to go please!" he laughed and the friendly waiter laughed back

A couple of minutes later, the waiter came back with six large steaming boxes of food and handed them to Gavin, and in return Gavin handed over his credit card. Moments later they had finished transaction and he walked out of the restaurant, smiling at Delilah

"Come on wench!" he teased playfully, "let's go to the park!"

Delilah chuckled and playfully smacked Gavin's arm. "You call me a wench again, and you're sleeping on the sofa for our honeymoon," she mock-threatened. Still, she couldn't help but eye the boxes of food hungrily. It certainly smelled good, but would it be worth the high cost?

She climbed back into the car, and after securely fastening her seatbelt and making sure Gavin had done likewise, she started the car and drove them to the park. The sun was starting to show from between cracks in the clouds, which reassured Delilah a bit. Maybe it won't rain after all, she thought, stepping out of the car. Still, she wasn't about to risk things, so she remembered to grab the umbrella from the backseat.

Delilah watched Gavin step out of the car, holding the boxes of food. "Right, blanket," she muttered. "Need something to sit on!" She grabbed a large sheet from the back of the car and tossed it over her shoulder. Then, together, they walked around, trying to find a spot suitable for eating.

Gavin stuck his tongue out again at Delilah as he climbed out of the car with the huge boxes of food balanced on one hand. It was a difficult feat, but he managed, watching his fiance with interest as she snatched up things they would need. He smiled and together they found a warm, dry area under a group of sheltering trees: secluded enough for privacy and warm enough that they could sit there comfortabley

"Just tell me if you get cold" he said with a smile as he sat down beside Delilah and placed the boxes carefully to his side

He opened the first box and was knocked back by the gorgeous smell, grinning widely he took out the paper plates the restaurant had provided and spooned a little onto it. Gavin then laughed and looked at Delilah, sticking out his tongue

"You have to give me a kiss to get it!" he teased, "and it has to be a good kiss! The better the kiss the more food you'll get!" he laughed

Delilah pretended to pout. "Well, maybe I don't want to kiss you," she teased. "Maybe I'm too hungry to kiss you. And you're going to be cruel and starve your gorgeous fiance? Meanie."

She leaned close and gave Gavin a long, passionate kiss. "Now, make sure I get lots of food," she finally said, playfully poking at him. "I'm eating for two now!"

She sat back and watched him put the food on the plate. It looks good and smells good, but will it taste good? I mean, stuff like pate and caviar are really expensive too, but I hate how they taste! she thought. She eyed the food, trying to imagine the flavor. Well, it can't taste nearly as bad as green tea. Urgh, that is disgusting. I don't care how good it is for me-- I am not drinking that stuff again! she thought.

Delilah took the plate and lifted a small forkful of food to her mouth. The moment of truth. She put the food in her mouth and chewed slowly, pensively. She swallowed. It was very good, perhaps not the best thing she'd eaten, but still delicious and, more importantly, she could eat it without gagging.

Gavin smiled and stroked Delilah's back lovingly. They may have been a long way into their relationship, past the 'honeymoon' stage but he still felt it nice to remind her how much he loved her. Even if they weren't playing about in the bedroom, it was nice to let her know he cared

"Here" he smiled and handed her the food

As she tried it, she wrinkled up her nose and chewed it pensively. Oh god, she hates it! Stupid stupid gav, he thought, watching her with rising anticipation. She smiled a little and Gavin let out a little sigh, still a little anxious

"We can eat something else if you like" he offered honestly, shovelling a small portion onto his own plate and took a bite. It was great, but if Delilah didn't like it then it was going. No questions asked

"Taste as good as me?" he teased, smacking his lips at her

"It's fine," Delilah said reassuringly, smiling charmingly at Gavin. "I've just had some bad experiences with 'rich people' food." She laughed a little. "At least you don't have to worry about me wasting all your money on caviar and junk like that."

She quickly devoured the rest of the food on the plate, grateful that Gavin had thought to get the picnic lunch for them. It was better than she'd expected. She dabbed carefully at her lips with a napkin, making sure there were no crumbs stuck to her face. With a sigh, she laid back, eyes closed.

Ah, nice, she thought. Full stomach, gorgeous fiance, good life... nothing to complain about here! It was definitely warmer than it had been earlier. As Delilah opened her eyes ever so slightly, she could see the sun shining down on her. Ah, warm, she thought, pleased.

Gavin smiled contentedly and happily just watched Delilah eat the platefull of food, shovelling it into her mouth and then laid back on the blanket. As he finished his own meal, he smiled and shuffled over to lay beside her, his hand stroking her forehead

"What do you want to do now then, my princess?" he asked, pretending to bow to her again

He smiled and began to kiss her fingers and then her hand, then gradually working up her arm

"Love you Delilah" he smiled

Delilah sat up slowly. Take it slow, Dee, she reminded herself. Don't make yourself sick!

"Well," she said, "how about going for that walk now? It doesn't look like it'll rain, so no worries about that. Sounds good?"

As she spoke, she began cleaning up the mess-- putting the boxes and used plates into a bag, brushing bits of grass off of the sheet, and so forth. She glanced over at the umbrella and thought, Murphy's Law in action-- as soon as you think to grab an umbella, the weather gets nice again. What do you expect, right?

Delilah rose slowly and began rolling up the sheet so that she could put it back in the car. That was a nice picnic, she thought, feeling better than she had earlier in the day. I'm glad Gavin thought of it!

Gavin smiled and helped Delilah pile all of the remainder of their picnic into the boxes and then shoved it all into a bag and slung it over his shoulder. The food had been delicious and it had even started to clear up into a pretty nice day! A walk on the beach looked like it would have perfect weather

"Come on then darling" he said with a grin

He walked her to the car and instead he got in to drive this time, starting the engine and drove them both to the beach. There was still a reasonably strong wind howling around, so it was mostly deserted bar a few kids playing with a long red kite. Gavin smiled and took Delilah's hand as they left the car, putting her hand into his back pocket of his jeans and his own arm around her shoulder

"Feel up to this?" he asked, glancing at her pregnant belly which was starting to show a little

((Oh, sorry, I wasn't thinking. I've had an interesting day... I spent the last few hours actually PLAYING The Sims 2, instead of just taking pictures like I've been doing the past few months.))

Delilah grinned and leaned against Gavin. "Of course I'm up to it," she said reassuringly. "Why wouldn't I be?" She closed her eyes. It felt good-- warm, breezy, and overall very soothing. She opened her eyes, watching the kids with a kite.

I remember doing that when I was a kid, she thought, smiling a little at the thought. They looked so happy. She placed a hand lightly over her stomach and thought, Soon, little one, that'll be you. There's an exciting world for you to explore and have fun in.

Delilah smiled and kissed Gavin's cheek. "It's a nice day," she remarked. "It should be illegal for people to be inside on a day like this. I remember once, back in college, a professor actually let us go early because there was such nice weather. Shame more teachers aren't like that, really. Gavin smiled and nodded and tightened his arm around Delilah's waist, holding her close and protecting her as they slowly began to walk along the beach. For a moment he closed his eyes and stopped them from walking again, spinning his fiance around to face him and kissed her softly

"Soon we can take our little squirt or squirts, depending on how many you're storing in there, to the beach and we can play with him or her" he said in a quiet soft voice, stroking her cheek and then started to walk again

Gavin smiled and just thought about everything. In a matter of days he would marry a gorgeous girl and in a couple of months he'd have his first child, a child that would be so loved that all it's friends would be incredibly jealous of it. He smiled at the thought, stroking Delilah's back sofly as they walked.

"At least our baby will know it's parents love each other" he said with a smile, "right?!"

Delilah couldn't help but giggle a little at the idea of being a "storage" device, and pictured herself filled, head to feet, with babies. The idea was so absurd and funny, she almost fell over, laughing at her thought. Between gasps, she explained to Gavin what was so funny.

"Right, they'll know they're loved," she replied. She snickered some more. "All five million of them." This got her laughing hysterically again. "Oh God, I swear, I have to tell Amber that one next time I see her."

She grinned a little. Amber's going to just about pee her pants laughing when she hears that craziness! she thought. Eh, I miss her. I hope she'll be around in time for the wedding... if not, well... we can take lots of pictures and still get her lots of stuff while we're on our honeymoon!

Gavin laughed at Delilah fondly as she almost fell over with laughter, using the oppurtunity to make her laugh more. He stepped towards her and tickled her stomach quickly and forcefully, grinning widely and threw his head back with laughter

"Don't you dare pop out five million!" he teased, "I aint holding your hand for that long!"

He smiled and stuck his tongue out at Delilah, his soft hands still running across her stomach and hips and tickling her furiously. Soon her hair was a mess and he was almost panting, a wide smile fixed on his face and he was sure it wouldn't budge

"Do you miss Amber?" he asked, still threateningly tickling her, "I haven't seen her in a while I guess. I bet you're missing dancing on your desks while I'm away and making out with sex-gods like Nicolao that I can't match up too!" he teased

Delilah smirked. She pretended to think. "Yeah, you're right, it's not five million in there... it's eight million!" she joked, snickering. "So... uh... by the time Gavin Jr. the Eight Millionth comes out, you might not have a hand anymore."

She laughed and leaned against Gavin, trying to catch her breath. "Yeah, I do miss Amber. And as for the dancing on desks and making out with Nicolao... well, I'm glad you don't know about the other guys," she joked. "We had a big office party while you were on vacation, and... ooh, man, I got so drunk. I made lots of cute friends, though." She snickered, knowing Gavin knew she was just joking around. "In fact, I have a whole harem, so, you might not be the father after all. Want to go on a talk show and find out? You and me and the fifty or so other possible candidates?"

Amber hadn't had a very good last few weeks, because she had gotten word that her father had had a severe heart attack and she and Alexander had rushed home to be with him. Thankfully he had pulled through just fine, and now she was back in the city.

Amber had decided to take advantage of the good weather and drag her favourite beach buddy down to the beach with her. Which meant a less than thrilled looking Alexander was sitting on a beach towel trying to read while she put a french braid in his long hair.

"Stop it Amber" he said, idly swatting her hands without looking up. "Nope" she said, continuing to braid his hair "It'll get all sandy and gross and full of seaweed otherwise. And besides, braids are sexy. Don't you want all the beach bunnies after you".

"Not right now" he said, taking another futile swat at his sister "Speaking of beach bunnies, isn't that that table dancing friend of yours and her fiancee that your loonatic boss is obsessed with?".

"You mean Gavin and Delilah" she asked thwapping his head, and craning her neck to see "I think you're right!". She tied the end of his hair and waved at them. 'GAVIN, DELILAH, OVER HERE" she called.

Delilah squealed and ran over to Amber and Alexander. She hugged Amber tightly. "Hey, nice braid," she remarked, grinning at Alexander. "It looks good on you. You really should try that out more often."

Ummm... long hair on guys. Yum, she thought. Still, I wouldn't trade Gavin for anyone.

"What's up?" Delilah asked. "We just finished a picnic, and now we're on a walk. Mr. Ruppetts here says that I'm a storage device for babies... apparently, I'm carrying approximately eight million of them, and that number is growing. So, be prepared to hear about how Delilah Junior the Eighteeth is teething and how Gavin Junior the Ninth is sick." She laughed.

"What are you two up to? How's everything been? Any good gossip?" Delilah asked.

"Eight million Delilahs" Amber said, feigning shock "If I ever said I'd babysit for you I lied. It was all Xander." "It was not" he shot back, shoving a bookmark in his book and putting it in a bag "So be quiet or I'll sue you for deformation of character".

Amber rolled her eyes and shook her head."I should know better than to argue with a lawyer, honestly. But you guys probably don't wanna listen to us bicker, tell me about what happened while I was away. Did Cecilia try to kidnap you and tie you to her bed or something Gavin?" she asked, trying to keep a straight face.

Gavin smiled and slowly followed as Delilah ran up to Amber and Xander and watched her throw her arms around them both. It had been a long time since she'd seen her best friend, and having to spend all her time with him would be too torturous for words! He chuckled to himself and joined the happy bunch, shaking Xander's hand and gave Amber a warm hug too

"Don't you dare pop out 8 million!" he teased, putting his arm around Delilah's shoulder. He turned to look at the braid in Xander's hair that she had commented about and he pretended to pout, "isn't my hair good enough?" he teased in a whining voice, "maybe you could try braid it some time!"

Gavin laughed and then pulled a face at Amber's question, shuddering playfully

"If Cecilia had done that then she would no longer be alive and Dee here would be in jail!" he laughed, "but no she hasn't. I guess she's really mellowed. How about you two, any special partners in your life?"

He smiled and gave Delilah's shoulder a squeeze

"You're still coming to the wedding, right? Only a few days to go now!" he asked them both

Delilah laughed and wrapped an arm around Gavin. "Sure, sweetie, I'll braid your hair. You'll be so pretty!" she said, playfully tickling his side. "And if Cecilia did try a stunt like that, she'd be picking her teeth off the ground. Cecilia's been behaving... a little too well, in fact. I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with her. Brainwashing or something, you know? Not that I miss her trying to get into Gavin's pants, but still... something seems fishy."

Her attention diverted by the topic of the wedding, she added, "It'll be so fun! You'll finally get to meet my parents-- don't try to get into a drinking contest with my dad... long story about that. And we'll bring you guys tons and ton os stuff from when we go on our honeymoon!"

Delilah all but danced around, she was so excited. Soon, we'll be married! Oh my God, this is such a big deal! I never thought this would ever happen, but... well, here it is! she thought.

Gavin smiled and tickled Delilah gently in the sides, watching her get excited about the wedding and started thinking about it himself. It wasn't long now, and then they'd be man and wife: this was real and soon they'd be on their honeymoon and starting their lives together. Every young girl imagined their wedding and their wedding day, and he wondered whether he was anything like the man that Delilah had imagined. Was he her Prince Charming?

"It's going to be a great wedding" he smiled, "has she shown you the engagement ring? It's almost as pretty as she is!"

Gavin smiled and poked Delilah again, looking over at Amber and Xander and winked

"I hope you all know how to waltz!"

He grinned and then swept Amber into his arms and danced about the beach with her playfully, tripping and stumbling over his fast moving feet and laughed loudly. He grinned at Delilah and blew her a kiss

Delilah stuck her tongue out at Gavin. "Who said anything about waltzing?" she asked. "We're gonna play rock music! Hours of Ozzy, Foreigner, Bad Company, and all the other great bands. No Cheap Trick, though... some of their songs grate on my nerves." She laughed and began poking Xander with his own braid. "Mwahaha! Fear my wrath, as I attack you with your own hair!" she joked.

Inwardly, Delilah shuddered a little at the thought of waltzing. Her mother had made her attend those girly classes when she was younger, the ones teaching dancing and poise and junk like that. Of course, Delilah didn't last long in there, having managed to shock the instructors by replacing the classical music CDs with Queen ones, not to mention showing up in jeans and band t-shirts and dancing on the desks. After that little incident, her mother was told to take Delilah anywhere else but that charm school. Eh, guess I've always choked on the silver spoon, she thought wryly, smirking a little at the memories.

Amber laughed as she tried not to trip over her own feet while Gavin swung her around in circles. "Good to know she hasn't tried anything. I really don't fancy having to put on my resume "Used to be secretary for crazy woman who ended up being arrested for stalking". She giggled as they continued to spin around in circles and said "Of course we're coming. We didn't go shopping for those fancy dresses for nothing Delilah".

Alexander rolled his eyes. "And putting on it 'Used to work for weird redhead who was going to get sued is better" said Xander, rescuing his hair from Delilah and flipping it over his shoulder "Honestly Amber, I still don't like you working there. She's just not right in the head".

Delilah mused, "You know, I wonder a few things. Like, who knocked her up? Hey, Gavin, what were you doing around that time? Xander, did you go out on a wild weekend? And second, how is it that she was so certain that she was pregnant so soon after it happened? I mean, generally, it takes at least a few weeks for symptoms to show up. But whatever." She paused, thought for a moment, and added, "Hey, Xander, take one for the team--marry Cecilia. No more worrying about her going after Gavin and stuff like that. Come on, you'll have a rich wife and a ready-made family. She can support herself!"

She pretended to attack Xander's hair, like a kitten would attack a dangling bit of string. "Come on, do it for me," she said. She gave him a wide-eyed, sad look. "Please? Don't you love me, at least as a friend? Do it for the good of the whole company. I mean, sure, it means making her part of your family, but... well, if you don't kill her out of frustration, I'm sure Amber will. And you're a lawyer, so she won't have to go find one. That's a joke. I think."

Delilah knew it was mean to make those kinds of jokes, but still, it felt good to get all of her thoughts and frustrations off of her chest.

Gavin smiled and danced Amber around the beach, pulling faces back at Delilah as he did. He knew there wouldn't be any waltzing at their wedding: well, his parents would certainly be waltzing around the dancefloor even when Ozzy was blasting from the speakers.

Finally, he let go of Amber and smiled as Delilah played with Xander's hair, pretending to bare his teeth at him and snapped a couple of times.

"Hands off the woman!" he teased, scopping Delilah up in his arms from under her legs and started to spin her round getting faster and faster, "and my hair is waaaaaay prettier!" he laughed

Gavin smiled and stick his tongue out at Amber and then winked at Xander, while spinning round even faster with Delilah making her dress billow outwards in the wind

Delilah giggled. "But I'm always playing with your hair," she said, pretending to pout. "I just thought maybe Xander's hair was lonely and needed some attention. And if you keep that up, with the spinning, everyone's going to know the answer to the immortal question: boxers or briefs. Not to mention you'll get to see lunch a second time." She grinned wickedly. "Do you feel lucky?"

She smirked and winked at Amber and Xander. "He knows better than to anger me," she called out. "He hates sleeping on the couch, all alone, with no one to steal all the covers from him. And he knows I'll make him sleep on the couch, if necessary. I've already threatened to make him sleep on the couch for our honeymoon." She laughed and messed up Gavin's hair, making it stick out in all directions. "It's a lovely new look for you!"

Gavin smiled and begun to spin Delilah even faster, watching her dress billow again and he tickled her bare legs, pretending to lift her skirt up even further to find out the answer to the 'question'

"Boxers or briefs?" he asked teasingly, "maybe I should strip them off you and fly them in the air like a kite!"

He giggled and watched Delilah squirm in his arms and then placed her back on the floor, hands clasping around her waist and he rested his forehead on hers, sticking his tongue out. He grinned and poked her

"Don't you dare make me sleep on the couch!" Gavin laughed, "you know you'll just get lonely and come and join me!"

He smiled at Xander and ruffled his hair, pulling a few strands from the delicate braid and then waved playfully at Amber

"Sorry Ambs! I ruined his lurrrvely hair!"

Delilah smirked and said to Gavin teasingly, "Nah, I won't get lonely. I can just find some other cute rich guy to take care of me. Just remember, you are replaceable. There's lots of other guys out there who can take care me of. Like Xander." She snickered a little. "I'm sure Amber would love having me as part of the family, right?" She grinned, knowing Gavin would realize she was just making a joke and didn't actually intend to leave him for anyone.

"Hey, leave his hair alone," she said, gently swatting Gavin's hands away from Xander's hair. "Don't be jealous just because he has longer hair than you do. Now, behave, or I'll shave you bald like a monk and make you sleep on the couch! I think Mr. Sofa misses his old buddy." Delilah laughed and kissed Gavin's hands. Anyone who didn't know us would think we hated each other or something, she thought, amused.

Gavin laughed and stepped very close to Delilah, looking down at her and bared his teeth playfully and knashed at her. He stopped her from backing away and stood as close to her as he could, hands sneaking onto her butt as she giggled and flinched away

"You love me really!" he chuckled, lifting up her dress and snatched at her underwear, pulling them down as he kissed her neck to distract her

He let go once he'd pulled them down a short way and then stuck his tongue out at Delilah again, taking her hand and spiralled her around, then started a fast sprint in the opposite direction, hiding behind Amber

"Save meee from the meanie!" Gavin yelled teasingly, peaking over Amber's head to grin at Delilah

Delilah yanked up her underwear. "Just for that, I'm leaving," she said, sticking her tongue out. She pulled the car keys out of her pocket and ran back to the car. Looks like a little punishment is in order for Gavin, she thought, smirking a little. She unlocked the door, climbed in, locked all the doors, and drove away. She stuck her tonge out at Gavin again.

Now, I didn't say I'd be gone for good, she thought. She giggled a little, as she drove up to a nearby bakery.

"Yes, can I help you?" a worker asked.

"Yes, can I please have two dozen cupcakes? I'd like half of them chocolate and the other half vanilla," Delilah replied.

"Right away, miss," the worker replied. In minutes, Delilah was walking out of the bakery, carrying the container of cupcakes. She climbed back into the car and drove back to the beach.

"Here," she said, handing Gavin the package of cupcakes, "you're lucky I love you so much that I came back... and I brought snacks for all of us."

Gavin stuck his tongue out at Delilah as she stalked away, flipping her the bird playfully and turned back to Amber and Xander with a cheeky grin. He watched as she got into the car and drove away

"SPOIL-SPORT!" he yelled after her, sticking his tongue out at her again

He chuckled and sat down on the sand beside Xander and waited for her to come back, knowing -hoping- that she'd come back again. With a sigh, he lay backwards and shut his eyes, kicking sand playfully at Amber. A couple of minutes later his view of the sun was blocked by a shadow, and he looked up to see Delilah, a tray of cupcakes in her hands

"you're lucky I love you so much that I came back... and I brought snacks for all of us."

Gavin laughed and stood up, kissing Delilah's cheek in a half-hearted apology, but nibbled on her ear lobe for a moment longer, whispering in her ear so the other two couldn't hear him

"Welcome back missy, and you owe me plenty of underwear action for later in repayment!" he whispered teasingly

She smiled charmingly at Amber and Xander. "Sorry about that," she said to them. She opened up the container of cupcakes. "Would any of you want one? Gavin, I know you do." She took a cupcake and rubbed the icing on his cheek, and then ran away, giggling. "Fear me!" she crowed, making a face at him. "Never tick off your gorgeous fiancee!"

She hid behind Amber and Xander. "Save me! He's going to retaliate, and it won't be pretty!" she squealed. She peeked over Xander's shoulder at Gavin. "Pleaaaase don't hurt me!" she called. "I'm so small and weak and helpless! And you know if you do anything bad, it's the sofa for you!"

Chinsa had lost a few pounds and in celebration treated herself to a relaxing day at the beach.She was talking to some blonde woman who kept commenting on how "exotic" she looked. Her jealous and annoyed girlfriend was smiling at the woman then forcefully pulled Chinsa aside and gave her a stern talking to. Chinsa wasn't one to taunt but she had to comment on her girlfriends demeanor of the moment so she said "Mimi are you jealous that I am exotic?" Chinsa knew that this comment would have her sleeping alone tonite but still she liked the fire this brought out of her girlfriend. Chinsa heard a familiar laugh off in the distance and turned to the direction from whinch it came and saw Delilah frolicking on the beach in a dress. Mimi saw her looking and ask you know her? Chinsa nodded her head slightly Mimi asked her name she said Delilah. Mimi smiled and waved and said hi Delilah like they had been long time friends. She knew now that she would have to introduce them but how? Was Mimi her sister, her college buddy her friend visiting from Japan yeah right that wouldn't work she'd just have to tell the truth. So she said to herself "Shoulders back head up chest out relax honey your a supermodel." and she walked over to where Delilah and a few other of her co-workers were like she was walking a catwalk. Mimi right behind her.

Delilah raised an eyebrow. "Looks like we have a free show," she muttered. I work with this chick, and I know she's a model, but... really, is it necessary to act like she's always on stage? I mean, I don't go around acting like a secretary all the time, she thought. Cecilia certainly doesn't act like a boss all the time. Gavin never acts like he's my boss. But I guess some people like the attention. Whatever. Not my thing, that's for sure. I'd hate for people to think I thought I was better than everyone else.

Delilah immediately mentally scolded herself for her harshness. That was mean, Dee. Let the woman do whatever she wants-- she's not hurting anyone! Now smile and be nice. It won't kill you! Besides, at least she's not like Cecilia. Delilah smiled, hoping it wouldn't look too forced, and hurried back over to Gavin, who she hugged tightly. Way to go, she thought. Now it looks like you're scared of people!

Gavin quirked an eyebrow and let out a giggle at Delilah's comment, watching the arrogant girl saunter up to them like she was doing a catwalk show. She was a model, yes, apparently one who enjoyed being a model all the time, but he still managed a smile

"Hi" he said, recognising the girl as Chinsa, the one who always seemed to glare at him no matter what he did. The one that had the crush on Delilah

He smiled at her companion and put his arms more tightly around his fiance, showing he was taken and he didn't need any more attention thank you very much. He was happy in the arms of one woman and he wasn't the kind of guy that needed younger and more attractive women every twenty seconds

"Hi I'm Gavin" he said with a grin, "and this is Delilah, we're engaged!"

Delilah grinned and leaned against Gavin. Better be nice. We're coworkers. Just smile and nod. Smile and nod. And don't let them get you or Gav alone, she thought. But most importantly, be nice. Don't be a hateful little wench-- people hate that kind of thing.

"Hi there," she said. "It's so nice to see you here. How are you? How are you liking this nice weather?" That's friendly, right? Delilah thought. She glanced over at Amber and Xander, gauging their reactions. Maybe too friendly? she thought. Better tone it down. "Gavin and I had a picnic earlier," Delilah said. "It was really nice."

Delilah grinned and put a hand over her stomach. "And... well... I'm pregnant, and in a few months, there'll be a cute little baby for us to love," she continued, trying to be warm and friendly. "So much has happened the past few months!"

Gavin laughed and pulled a face over his shoulder at Delilah, Xander and Amber, laughing at this woman who he didn't even know, and who was still glaring at him. He chuckled as Delilah turned on the 'sweetness' act and reminded himself to tease her like crazy about it once she had gone

"Yea, great right!" he added, attempting to be friendly

He smiled at the two women and then lay down on the sand and basked in the warm rays of the sun: after the rain that morning it had actually turned into a pretty nice day. Gavin pulled down Delilah next to him and they lay facing each other, his hand stroking up and down the soft skin of her arm

"We haven't had a smoochy moment in ages!" he complained playfully in a whisper, shuffling close to Delilah to kiss her lips, "now tell me how much you love me and how you never ever want to leave me" he said with a smile and a wink

Amber was trying not to laugh at the model as she walked up. "Honestly" she thought "This is the beach not Milan. Walk like a normal person".

"I'm Amber by the way, I'm the secretary for Psycho Boss" she said, snatching a cupcake from Delilah. She ran a finger across it and gathered some frosting, which she reached out and smeared across Alexander's nose. "And the man with the frosting nose is my brother Alexander".

"And this man is about to kill you" he said, and Amber got up and took off running as he chased her in circles. As they ran he yelled "Oh, and I want it on record that I'd marry my sister before I'd marry Cecilia thanks".

Delilah watched Xander and Amber. "You'd rather marry your sister?" she called out. She began loudly humming the theme song for "Deliverance." She laughed and yelled, "Run, Amber, or he'll make you squeal like a piggy!"

She laughed for a bit longer and then snuggled close to Gavin. "They always make me feel better," she murmured to him. "It's great that we have such awesome friends." She kissed him softly on the lips. "I'm going to behave... for now. We are in public, after all," she told him. "But I'll make up for it later. Promise." She squeezed his hand gently.

Delilah watched Amber and Xander run around. It's nice that they're so close, she thought, smiling. I hope all the kids Gav and I have will be that close. She stroked Gavin's hair, lost in her happy thoughts and hopes.

Chinsa could see Delilah's hospitality was forced but hey, atleast she was trying. Chinsa looked at Gavin and Delilah all cozied up on the sand. She thought to herself could I end up like that? A happy housewive a expecting mother. Nah she still had a million party years left and Gavin and Delilah were acient. She realized that she was coming off arrogant so she relaxed her posture a bit and then smiled and said "Hi everyone this is my friend Mimi!" Mimi was quite annoyed by Chinsa calling her a friend so she politely waved then said "Im her girlfriend". Chinsa turned the brightest shade of red. She wanted to run but where sand stretched across as far as ones eyes could see. She just froze and suddenly she wasn't a supermodel she was the girl in the background, she was the wallpaper. She waited for some kind of response. Mimi stared at her with a silly grin spread across her face. Had Mimi not known what she had done now everytime her female co-workers saw her they'd think is she checking me out. She needed someone to wake her from this dream gone wrong, but who?

"Yeah Xander, yeesh Eurotrip much" Amber teased, still trying to escape him "I didn't know you were such a pervert". She skidded past Chinsa, apologizing for the flying sand, and slid down onto the blanket next to Deliah and Gavin.

"Watch it you" she said to Alexander, brandishing another cupcake 'Or you'll be wearing this". "I wouldn't do that if I were you" her brother replied "I have access to horrible pictures of you and a photocopier".

"I am not a loonatic" said Amber, pretending to look upset "I work FOR the loonatic, get it right. And I'm sorry Mimi, you probably think your girlfriend works with a bunch of mental patients. But it's just Delilah that does crazy desk dancing, honest. But we love her anyway". Amber snickered and winked at Delilah, helping herself to another cupcake.

Gavin laughed and watched Amber and Xander run about, picking up another cupcake and he threw it at them as they sat down beside. He chuckled as the cupcake landed splat in Xander's face and then he stuck his tongue out playfully as they fell about laughing

"Our wedding is going to be crazy!" he laughed

Shuffling close to Delilah, he smiled and put his arms around her, letting her rest her head on his chest as he kissed her forehead. Life was good, he had great friends, a gorgeous fiance and even his boss was settling down: all he needed now was a puppy to have the life he'd always dreamed of

"Okay" Gavin smiled, "but you so owe me gorgeous!"

Chinsa regained her composure and then politely asked "Mind if me and my girlfriend join you?" Mimi not waiting for a response took a seat next to Alexander who now had a frosting covered face. Chinsa did the same sitting next to Mimi the wet sand felt good on her palms she drifted off gazing up at the sky. This is nice Chinsa thought.

Delilah sighed happily and closed her eyes. She felt so safe with Gavin by her side. No one would dare hurt me, she thought. Our baby is safe, and so am I. Today is a good day, setbacks aside. I have no real complaints. I mean, I had a nice picnic lunch, met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while... yep, good day.

Delilah leaned closer to Gavin and whispered, "Hey, sweetie... how about if maybe we get a cat or dog someday? Would you like that?" She smiled a little, picturing Gavin going crazy, trying to take care of a baby and a puppy at the same time. Poor man would go insane, she thought, trying not to giggle. But I'm sure he'd like a pet. I mean, I don't think his parents were the type to allow pets. My family, on the other hand... oh man, I grew up around all kinds of animals-- cats, dogs, snakes, iguanas, fish, turtles... it was like a jungle, at times!

Gavin watched Xander and Amber teasing each other and he grinned, imagining what it would have been like to have a sibling. An only child, he grew up with only his cousins and best girlfriend as playmates, and he had grown close to them all: now his cousin was his assistant and his best friend as a child lived next door to his parents. I wonder if she's coming to the wedding... he pondered, but then maybe thought better of it. He didn't need an ex at the wedding, even if she was his childhood best friend

"Hey, sweetie... how about if maybe we get a cat or dog someday? Would you like that?" Delilah asked

With a big grin, Gavin turned to Delilah and stroked her hair softly, tickling her under the chin playfully before planting a kiss on his lips. As a child he hadn't had a pet, his parents didn't allow it and he was only 22 now. He'd always wanted a dog one day, but he hadn't had the time at the moment, especially living alone

"I'd love one!" he whispered back enthusiastically, picturing the little puppy the happy couple could pick out. He grinned, "days out at the park, playing on the beach, a little friend to our new baby. You know just how to give me a perfect life, don't you!" Gavin replied, smiling happily as he continued to stroke Delilah's hair

Delilah grinned and kissed Gavin's cheek. "Fine, sweetie," she replied. "If you want a pet, you'll get one. As soon as you want one, we'll go and find one, okay?" She couldn't help but smile, picturing them taking walks with a cute little puppy, watching the baby and puppy play together, and many other sweet thoughts. It made her happy to know that she could find ways of making Gavin that much happier. A happy Gavin means a happy Delilah, she thought, which means everyone benefits.

She sighed and stretched. It'll be hard work, but still... it's not the hardest thing we could be doing, right? she thought. Just like a baby's hard work. Besides, we can afford to take good care of the puppy and make sure it gets all its shots and all. It'll have a good home.

Delilah smiled at Gavin. "Just remember, you're the one responsible for housetraining it," she reminded him.

Gavin smiled, cuddling Delilah gently in the sand and pulled kissy faces at her playfully. A puppy and a baby, plus the most gorgeous wife he could ever dream of: yes, he was going to have a fantastic life. Their child would be loved and grow up in a home where the parents loved each other and constantly reminded each other of their love

"Why don't we have a look later this afternoon?" he suggested with a grin, "I've heard there have been a lot of new litters this time of year. Are you sure you want a pet babe? I'll take it for walks when you're too pregnant!" he teased

"Just remember, you're the one responsible for housetraining it,"

Gavin grinned cheekily and ran his hand fast back and forward over Delilah's hair, making her hair stand up on end. He chuckled and let one corner of his mouth tug into a cheeky smirk

"Fine, then you're responsible for housetraining the baby!" he teased, sticking his tongue out at her

Delilah grinned. "I love animals!" she replied. "Why would I not want a pet? Besides, I was raised around animals... lots of them. It's what's 'normal' for me. And I'll be happy to 'housetrain' the baby, but remember, that's also partially your responsibility. You need to be a responsible daddy."

She leaned back and smiled to herself. I have a good life, she thought contentedly. And now we're going to get a pet. Awesome! True, both the baby and pet would need lots of love and care, not to mention lots of training, but it would be worth it. A new baby and a new little pet to love. Yes, things were indeed good.

Delilah smiled and kissed Gavin's cheek. "Anything you want, sweetie. You've been so good to me, the least I can do is let you have something you want, right?" she said. She gently squeezed Gavin's hand and rested her head on his shoulder. Who would have ever guessed that I'd turn into such a... normal... person?

Gavin smiled and pulled Delilah closer to him so he could kiss the back of her neck and ear, giving her gentle fleeting kisses all down her neck and to the top of her spine, making her tremble and quiver. He chuckled, stroking her stomach where the baby was growing

"Don't forget to love me still when you've got all these new things to keep you entertained" he teased her gently, "with a baby and a puppy you won't have time or enough love for me too!"

He smiled again, sub-consciously stroking Delilah's hair and slipped into his own dream world. Nothing could really get anymore perfect now, and it was almost like they were already married: the happiest couple with the world at their feet and the rest of their lives to spend together. Gavin was certainly happy

"I'm not good to you for rewards!" he laughed, "I'm good to you because I love you: very very much!"

"Don't worry, I won't stop loving you," Delilah reassured Gavin. "And it's impossible to run out of love-- the more I give, the more I receive. What, are you jealous of the baby already? I mean, he or she is half yours. Half your genes and all. And probably just as good-looking." She smiled teasingly. "Or are you scared that I'll let the puppy sleep in your spot in bed?" She laughed and affectionately ruffled Gavin's hair. "No worries, darling. Your side of the bed is safe from being stolen."

Delilah grinned, picturing them a few years down the line, with a dog AND child climbing into their bed in the morning. Oh, doesn't that sound familiar? she thought, trying not to laugh. Mom and Dad sure put up with a lot from me... jumping on them in the morning... bringing Ziggy into the bed with me... they probably were ready to whack me on the head a few times. Good thing they were so patient with me. I only hope that I can be as patient.

Cecilia yawned and leaned back in her black computer chair. She had been planning things for the Fashion Show all day long and she was tired.
She opened the QC website and checked everything. The date, time, location, everything was alright.
She then logged in on the administrator panel and checked the collection they were going to use.
A beautiful one, designed by the best designers. She smiled, logged out and shut the computer down. She closed the laptop and stood up. Slowly she walked to the living room where she immediately fell asleep on the couch.
When she woke up she took her mobile phone and message Amber.

Hey Amber! I wonder if you'd like to check out the location of the Fashion Show for me. You'll actually be the first one to see it. Tell me if it's beautiful. (Or not :p)

"Yeesh you two, get a room" said Amber, rooting around in her bag for her cell phone, having heard the message alert tone.

"Great" she said, flipping it open and reading the message "It's from dragon boss. She wants me to go check out the location for the fashion show. Says I'll be the first one to see it too." Amber rolled her eyes and sighed.

"She's probably to lazy to stop staring at security tapes of Gavin to get up and go herself" said Alexander, who had buried his nose back in his book. Amber giggled and said "Oh I don't doubt it, why doesn't she just go herself god". She flipped her phone shut and chucked it back in her bag without replying.

"You'd better not give away my place in the bed!" he chuckled, "or else me the baby and the puppy will be sleeping in the big bed together and someone will be on the sofa all on their own!" he teased

Gavin looked up and grinned playfully at her, suddenly leaping to his feet and dived at the pretty red-head, taclking her fast to the floor and pressed her against the sand, pinning down her arms. With a chuckle he flicked sand at her

"REPENT!" he shriked playfully, "REPENT and you won't suffer my tickling torture!"

Delilah laughed and pushed Gavin away. "Don't you hurt my Amber, or I'm going to make you sleep outside with the puppy," she mock-threatened, hugging her friend. To Amber, she said, "Don't worry... I'll protect you from the big bad Gavin monster. If he tries to hurt you again, we'll... uh... shave his hair off!" She laughed as evilly as she could. Then, she stuck her tongue out at Gavin, rather defiantly. "Come on, if you dare," she said to him.

Delilah was having a blast. It's nice to have such good friends, she thought. Grinning, she leaned over and grabbed Alexander's book. "Come on," she told him, "the beach is for fun. Or are you scared of breaking a nail?" She playfully ruffled his hair. "Come on, don't be scared. I don't bite... well, I do bite Gavin, but he's the exception." She pretended to pout. "I'll cry if you won't join us in our stupidity."

Amber snickered and poked Gavin as she sat safely behind Delilah. "Yeah Mr. Be nice or you'll sleep in the doghouse and I'll....uhhhh". She paused for a second trying to think.

"I know" she said, with a decidedly evil grin on her face "I'll get those security tapes of Cecilia's and post horrid pictures of you all over the internet. I could even photoshop you bald so we don't have to bother with shaving your head".

"I knew I shouldn't have gotten you that for Christmas last year" said Alexander, having snatched his book back and now digging through his bag for his phone that had just gone off. "Radisson" he said, turning away and listening to the other person. After a few minutes he shut the phone and turned back around.

"They need me back at the office guys, sorry. Think you can get a ride home with Delilah and Gavin baby sister" he said, ruffling her hair and snickering at her annoyed look. "Yeah yeah, go bugger off to your office and be a big fancy lawyer" Amber said, waving to him as he picked up his stuff and headed for the parking lot.

'So what now" she said, turning to Delilah.

Gavin laughed and stuck his tongue out at Amber, shaking his fist at her jokingly. He crawled in a pouncing postion over to the two girls and dived on them both, flattening them and then jumped on top of Delilah, pinning her arms down to the sand and began to tickle her

"Feeeeeel my wrath!" he shrieked and then bent forward and kissed her

He looked up as Xander laughed and then pulled a face, holding out his arms to him to beckon him back and he threw his head back and pretended to cry. With a loud cry, he waved his arms in the air

"Nooo!" Gavin whined playfully, "don't leave me all alone with these terrible beasts! They'll tortureeeee me!"

Delilah laughed and ruffled Gavin's hair. "Now, be nice," she said, "or else we'll feed you to the sharks. I don't know if there actually are sharks here, but if need be, we'll drive you to the aquarium or zoo or anyplace with sharks and feed you to 'em." She lightly poked at him. "So be nice. Got it?"

She laughed and exchanged smirks with Amber, trying to keep a straight face. "We'll show him who's boss, eh?" she asked, grinning broadly. "Right?" She laughed and lightly poked at Amber's arm, snickering a little. "We'll make life miserable for him! Miserable! Just watch!" She playfully tickled Gavin. "And don't forget, dear, I live with you. I can really torture you and make things unpleasant. So, if you think that was torture, you haven't seen anything yet."

Delilah grinned sinisterly and intoned, "Oh yes... there will be blood." She laughed. "And that was my Jigsaw moment of the day."

Gavin chuckled and squirmed away from Delilah and Amber, attempting to hide behind the beach towel that was on the sand and he threw it over his head, thinking it would be a 'great' disguise

"Noooooooooo!" he cried when she announced there would be blood, "you FREAK!"

Chuckling again, he kicked out with his feet and rolled over on the sand, gradually gathering speed as he rolled down the beach and towards the sea: stopping just in time but his jeans got a little damp. With a pout, he turned back and shouted at Delilah

"Wedding's off!" he called playfully, sticking his tongue out at her warningly, "get out of my house you murdering freak!" he giggled

Trying to supress his laughter, he kicked sand at Delilah and waggled his butt at her as she watched, starting to do numerous cartwheels and somersaults but failed and collapsed down next to her and lay his head in her lap

"You torture me and you'll be sleeping on the sofa with the puppy" Gavin teased

Delilah stroked Gavin's hair. "You make me sleep on the sofa with the puppy, and I'll leave you for... uh... some rock star dude. I'll do it!" she mock-threatened. "And I'll tell Cecilia that you actually want to marry her instead and have tons of kids with her." She cackled and tapped her fingers together. "So play nice, Mr. Ruppetts." She smirked. "Or," she continued, "I might marry Alexander. I'm sure Amber would like having me as part of the family." She winked, indicating she was teasing. She had no intentions of leaving Gavin for anyone.

She stuck her tongue out defiantly at him, pretending to be a stubborn child. "I won't marry you!" she cried out, pretending to throw a tantrum. "I won't! I won't! I won't!" She giggled and peeked up at Gavin from beneath her long bangs. "Is it working?" she stage-whispered to Amber.

Amber was biting her lip to keep from laughing, and was fairly close to wanting to pinch her arm instead.

"I think so" she stage whispered back "And I'll compose a nice long lovey dovey note to Cecilia full of naughty things and send it to her with flowers and candy. AND I'm sure you'll fit in just fine with my family. We'd never notice an extra person anyway, seeing as mum's the middle of 13 kids, and dad's the oldest of 8". Amber snickered and pointed at Gavin "So you be nice or I'm taking her with me and we'll only let you come over to do diaper duty".

Gavin laughed and then folded his arms across his chest, pretending to put on a full blown sulk and he kicked his legs in the sand. He knew neither of them would ever leave the other: both consumed with too much love and want to spend the rest of their lives together.

"Fine then!" he teased, standing up and ran along the sand back towards the car and folded his arms again, grinning at Delilah and Amber, "I'll only come back if one of you grovels on your knees at my feet, begging for forgiveness!"

He laughed and then waited, signalling the ground and look up into the sky with a chuckle, happily dreaming of their married life and child, so excited to start their wonderful new lives together

"I'm waiting!" Gavin teased, "or no kisses for a month Delilah!" he laughed

Delilah snorted and stuck her tongue out. "Not on your life, Ruppetts," she said to Gavin. "Not even if you came crawling to me on your hands and knees." She pretended to sulk. "You have offended me greatly." She turned her head away from him, feigning anger. "I can't even stand the sight of you."

She winked at Amber. We all know Gav and I are just kidding-- we love each other and have no intentions of leaving each other, she thought, smiling to herself. She glanced down at her wrist. "Oh my God!" she cried out. "It's getting late. The sun will be setting soon. Wow, time sure does fly by!"

Delilah looked over at Amber and Gavin. "So what now?" she asked. "We're not going to stay here all day and night, right?" She snorted. "I'm not dressed for camping, you know." She playfully poked Gavin's side. "What now, Mr. Tough Guy?"

Gavin laughed hard and walked back over to Amber and Delilah and stuck his tongue out at both of them, unwilling to surrender his 'manhood' just yet. They still believed they were in control of him and, as much as it made him laugh, he didn't want them to think they were right: even though they were

"Mr Tough Guy says Mrs Tough Guy needs to go home now!" he teased, gathering up their belongings as the sun started to dip behind the hills over to one side, illuminating the clear blue sea spectacularly. It was gorgeous, and the perfect end to a day he had enjoyed immensely

With a happy sigh, Gavin hitched his jeans back into their correct position and dusted the sand from his butt, then held out his hand to take Delilah's finally subimitting to her and kissed her knuckles gracefully. He then turned and smiled at Amber, offering his arms to her in a hug

"Bye Ambs, tell Xander I said hey: and ask him about planning me a bachelor party!" he joked, winking at Delilah

Gavin then put his arm around his fiance's shoulder and ruffled her hair playfully, watching the sun set and waited for her to be ready

Delilah laughed and leaned against Gavin, grinning. "Sweetie, didn't Xander say we should give Amber a ride home? Unless you plan on leaving her here..."

She sighed in mock-annoyance and winked at Amber, as if to say, "Men!" Out loud, she said, "What a cruel fiance I have! He wants to leave one of my best friends all alone on the beach for the evil, hungry sharks and seagulls to feast on!" She hugged Amber and said, "If you're left here, I'm staying with you. He wouldn't dare leave me all alone. He needs me to cook and keep him out of trouble!"

Delilah stuck her tongue out at Gavin in mock-defiance. "So there, Mr. Meany Head!" she added. She giggled and tackled Gavin, pinning him to the ground. "Quick," she called to Amber, "let's bury him so no one can find him!"

Gavin laughed and patted Delilah on the butt and then stuck his tongue out at her, but suddenly she grabbed him and pinned him to the ground and then sat on top of him. He shouted playfully and looked over at Amber who seemed equally as eager to bury him and try to tickle him

"Heyyy!" he chuckled, "I'm not Mr Meany Head!"

He smiled and attempted gently to push Delilah off him but she didn't move so he lay back and was pinned flat by her. As Amber knelt down beside him he flicked sand at them both and then stuck his tongue out again

"Get orrrrf me!" Gavin teased, "you're both so meeeeeeeeeeeeeean!"

Chinsa was having a great time hanging out with her co-workers but she had a lot to do. So she gathered her things and sauteered away from the crowd turning around to wave goodbye. After she climbed into her car she reflected for a moment on her day she thought to herself "I didn't know Amber had such a cute brother I didn't know she had a brother at all but their's something intriguing about that man". Irey blasting Metric from the stereo aroused her from her thoughts. She quickly drove off.

"Could be meaner" she said casually, gathering sand in her hands "I mean, you did want to leave me for the seagulls to feeast upon. That's not very nice". She took the sand she had gathered and plopped it on Gavin's hair giggling and sitting back up.

"I say we do bury him, steal his wallet, and then go on a massive shopping spree. We can leave HIM for the seagulls to eat" she said, grinning at Delilah.

She took her bag and coat and walked out of her appartment. She reached the beautiful location of the fashion show. Something that looked like a bridge over water, it was truly beautiful. Cecilia slowly started walking the runaway in a casual way just to see how it would walk and smiled. She missed the modelling a lot.

Then, with a smirk, she added, "Ten points if you get the reference." She chuckled and hugged Gavin tightly. "Don't worry," she reassured him, "no one's going to eat you. Though when I go into labor, I may bite your head off. But that's a risk you'll have to take, I guess."

She snickered and added, "If you're nice, Amber won't laugh at you when I curse you out. Maybe." She winked. "You'll be nice, right, Amber?"

Delilah laughed and hugged Gavin. It felt nice just to be goofy and relax, instead of always being so... mature. Not that she planned to go back to being a total goofball, but still... it was nice to be immature every once in a while.

Gavin chuckled as Delilah went to ruffle his hair, but ducked out of the way and instead jumped to his feet and scooped up his fiance in his arms. As he grinned at her and quickly kissed her lips, he turned to Amber and pulled a goofy face

"It's getting darrrrk!" he teased, "what if I drove off and left you both here all alone in the sand! Sand sandwiches people!" he laughed

Then, with a cheeky grin, he yanked off Delilah's shoes and ran with her the several feet down the where the waves broke against the beach. Chuckling, Gavin took a few steps into the water and threatened to drop her

"Ooo careful!" he teased, "don't want you swimming with the fishes now do we! Literally!"

Delilah hugged Gavin and grinned. Life is good. It's nice to have so many loved ones. I really am lucky, she thought. She laughed and peered down at the water. "I don't think the fish will eat me. Well, the minnows might nibble at me, but that won't hurt. Might tickle, though," she remarked.

Delilah grinned and waved at Amber. "Hey, aren't you going to save me from the evil, hungry minnows? Some friend you are!" she called, pretending to sulk. "Come on, Gav. Let's leave her alone so the seagulls and starfish will eat her."

Delilah snickered and ruffled Gavin's hair. "So, Gav, when are we getting married? It seems like a kajillion years since you proposed to me. Then again, it seems like time really slows down when we're together. Crazy, eh?" She chuckled.

"Awwwww don't leave me" said Amber, gathering up her things and stuffing them into her beach bag.

"What if you forget all about me and I'm stranded here all night and the vampires come out and eat me. I'm sure you don't want me chomping on all your wedding guests". She paused for a minute and watched Delilah and Gavin, looking as though she was seriously considering something.

"Though I could bite Cecilia and that would solve some problems. You could just work the day shifts".

Gavin laughed and gently placed Delilah back down on her feet, kissing her softly and then took hold of her hand and walked with her to the car. As Amber ran up beside them, he pinched her gently in the waist and then giggled, opening the passenger door for them both

"In you get then you bullies" he teased

"So, Gav, when are we getting married? It seems like a kajillion years since you proposed to me" Delilah said laughing as she got into the car and he pulled away from the beach

Gavin chuckled and stuck his tongue out at her, ruffling his fiance's hair gently

"Not changing your mind are you?" he teased: although there was a serious undercurrent he tried to hide, "and don't be so impatient! The wedding is tomorrow and I know you're excited but don't get your knickers in a twist." He paused and smiled over at Delilah, looking a little bashful, "excited?" he asked, "maybe you should stay at Amber's tonight: I thought the groom wasn't allowed to see the bride before the wedding?"

"Whether or not I stay at Amber's is up to her. But you know what that means for you? No sneaking over to peek at me, and no cuddly Delilah to give lipstick therapy. Is it worth that to you?"

She laughed and poked Gavin lightly. "If was asking about it, I certainly haven't changed my mind."

Ah... wedding... awesome, she thought to herself, visions of cake and happy friends and family and, of course, finally being married. Why am I commenting on what's traditional? she thought. We're pretty doggone untraditional as it is.

Delilah leaned back, awaiting Gavin's response.

Gavin smiled and held out his hand to take Delilah's, stroking it gently as he pressed down on the accelerator and they started the short journey to Amber's house. The wedding wasn't going to be traditional, that was certain: and his parents weren't going to be happy: that was also certain. But for once he didn't care, Delilah was more important to him now

"I don't peek at you!" he laughed, pretending to look shocked, "what do you think I am! Some sort of pervert!"

Giggling, he looked back at Amber and pulled a playfuly face, then poked his fiance gently in the side for her comment. He was delighted she hadn't changed her mind, neither had he: and he couldn't wait for tomorrow when he would finally say 'I do' to the woman of his dreams

"And you're right!" he teased, "I will miss you terribly tonight! In fact, I do believe you owe me from some missed time on the beach!" he laughed, "extra lipstick therapy tonight!"

Cecilia walked around the runaway for a while and then sat on it. Then it hit her. Gavin and Delilah's wedding was tomorrow. She blinked a couple of times and cringed by the thought of it and then took her phone. She looked through her adresslist and pressed the button 'call' by the name Gavin. When he answered his phone, she smiled.

"Hey Gavin." she said. "It's Cecilia, I hope you don't mind me calling you."

Gavin pulled the car onto the sidewalk outside of Amber's house and got out to open the door for her. As he waited for her to get out and decide whether Delilah was going to stay there, his cell phone started to ring

"Hello?" he said with a smile as he held Delilah's hand

"Hey Gavin." she said. "It's Cecilia, I hope you don't mind me calling you."

Cecilia! Hopefully she wasn't going to try and intefere with the wedding. Gavin sighed and then smiled, reminding himself that they were 'friends' now

"Hi C, no I don't mind you phoning!" he said with a small smile, "what's up?!"

"Oh well, I just checked out the runaway for our fashion show that's in three days. And it's definately amazing, I love it. And I just already wanted to congratulate you with your marriage tomorrow. I'm sure she'll make you happy. We also need to check sometimes before the fashion show. Oh! Wait sorry, we can't, you'll be on your honeymoon at the fashion show right? Have fun." she said to him. It felt like she hadn't talked to him in ages. (Even if it wasn't ages) It felt great to hear his voice.

Gavin pursed his lips and raised his eyebrows when he heard Cecilia, wondering if she had phoned to be spiteful. Oh! Wait sorry, we can't, you'll be on your honeymoon: it was almost like she was trying to make him feel bad, but it wasn't working. He had worked his butt off for three years for QC and was finally going on his honeymoon with the woman of his dreams

"Yea sorry I'll be in Hawaii!" he laughed, "and tomorrow is the wedding, but if you need anything major then..."

Gavin paused and rocked back on his heels to think

"I can possibly come in later" he pondered. It was already dark and getting pretty late, but there was no way he could go in to the office tomorrow. Not on his wedding day that was supposed to be the happiest day of his life, "if there's anything major you need me to do then I might be able to come in for a few hours."

He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair

"But thanks for the congratulations," Gavin laughed with a genuine smile, "I can't wait."

Delilah tilted her head inquisitively, a puzzled smile on her lips. Who's calling? she thought. Cecilia, duh. Blargh. Eh, whatever. Long as she doesn't try to get with Gavin, I don't care. Besides, Gav loves me too much to cheat on me.

She smiled and lightly squeezed Gavin's hand, watching him, judging his expression to see how she should react. She sighed and leaned against him briefly. Just don't make him come in on our wedding day, or I swear, if you ever get married, I'll tell Gavin to make up some emergency just to get you to come in, she thought, rather fiercely. She shook her head. Stop being so darn cranky, she scolded herself. Given that Gav has a high position at the company, he's going to be called for stuff like this, and on a regular basis. That job is what's keeping you well out of the poor house.

"I don't mind a houseguest" said Amber, poking Delilah's arm "We can think up Cecilia defense plans for tomorrow. And do girrrrly things like hair and nails. That definately means you have to go Gavin. Last time Xander was over when I had girlfriends he ended up looking like a drag queen".

She paused for a second, looking slightly guilty. "Though don't tell anyone that, he might kill me. And he could get away with it too, he has connections. Those lawyer friends of his are scary"

"Hawaii? Woah, it must be beautiful there. But I have to go now, they're calling me over somewhere so I have to hang up. Byeee!" she smiled and hung up. She walked over to the people who were calling her.
"What?" she asked. "Something wrong?" the people told her there was a hole in the runaway and she felt like dying.
"Please... fix it, ok? Thank you."

Gavin smiled as he pressed the 'End Call' button and shoved his cell phone back into his pocket: at least Cecilia hadn't made any backhanded comments about him marrying Delilah, truthfully he was thankfully hoping she wasn't in love with him anymore, she just lusted after him for a few weeks.

Grinning from ear to ear he helped Delilah out of the door and kissed her passionately and softly, stroking her back as he gently pressed her against the car. If he was letting her stay at Amber's, he was definately going to miss her

"No funny business okay!" Gavin laughed, "this is your hen night so enjoy it!"

Chuckling, he put on a wicked grin and a thought popped into his head, "I think I'll have my bachelor party tonight! Maybe I'll ring your dad and a couple of my mates: maybe that other secretery at QC and we'll have a wild boys night!" he said with a grin, hand going back onto his cell phone

Cecilia sighed as she walked out of the exit of the runaway location. Tomorrow was the wedding, and she sure didn't like that. She walked into the city, looking around and then finally found her favorite bar. She walked into it and sat down, ordering a Vodka and emptying it quite fast.
"Thanks, Bob" she said to the bartender. "I'll be staying here quite a while so... how are you?" god... she needed distraction and the only way she was going to get it was by drinking her way to a place where no one said no to her. She laughed and ordered another vodka. It had gotten dark outside...

Amber smiled as she saw Gavin kiss Delilah goodbye. She really was glad her friends were so happy, and excited for the wedding tomorrow. She had texted her brother in the car to make sure he didn't forget he was escorting her, and to have his Tux ready.

"Good" said Amber after Gavin finished talking, grinning and sticking out her tongue "This means I won't feel guilty for calling the male stripper and inviting a bunch of our girlfriends over. It is Delilah's last night of freedom before being shackled to you forever after all".

Amber then giggled and ducked behind Delilah to avoid being swatted upside the head.

Delilah grinned broadly at Amber. "No strippers!" she giggled. "Gavin wouldn't want me looking at nude guys. Besides, none of them could be nearly as awesome as Gav," she added, winking. "If I wanted to lower my standards, then... well... let's not get into all that, eh?"

She laughed and playfully poked Amber. "How about we get some ice cream and watch a ton of really bad movies and prank call people we don't like?" she suggested. "And maybe torture your brother with some makeup. Lots of it." She chuckled, picturing him with his hair in braids, with ribbons and cutesy clips in it, his face slathered with enough makeup for a small army of drag queens.

She chuckled softly. "Yes, we definitely have to do that. And take pictures, so Gavin can see. Because we all know Xander will be such a pretty girl when we're done."

Gavin grinned at Delilah and kissed her goodbye again, stroking her cheek gently and then chuckled. He got back in the car and blew a kiss at both her and Amber, then started the engine and drove off. Where could he hold a bachelor party - QC had a great party room for functions and all the alcohol would be free. No strippers of course and not too wild: he grinned and took out his cell phone, texting Mr Stanton

Smiling, he pulled into the Queen's Clothes Parking lot and checked to make sure Cecilia's car had already left: thankfully it had. He chuckled again and typed a new message, wondering what Delilah would be up to with Amber, hoping they were having fun

Half an hour later the QC party room was full of all his friends and plenty of beer, waiting for his father in law to arrive, and the new secretery

Chris laughed as he walked into the party room of QC. His eyes glared around the room in search for a beautiful stripper, but no. No strippers. He sighed, still laughed and walked over to Gavin.
"Congratulations man" he said, patting him on the back. "I bet you'll be happy with her, because well, she's cool." he smirked and walked over to the table with the alcohol where he took a glass and walked back.
"Now... how late is the stripper going to arrive?"

Gavin knocked back the fourth shot and grinned to himself happily, tomorrow he would marry Delilah and be the happiest guy in the world: not that he wasn't already. As Chris clapped him on the back he gulped but smiled, undoing the top three buttons of his shirt and chucked off his tie, starting to sweat a little

"Now... how late is the stripper going to arrive?"

Chuckling wildly, Gavin undid another few buttons of his shirt and playfully pretended to take it off, shrugging it back over his shoulders but let it undone. He thought he was being hilarious, and it was enough to make him crack up; snatching at another shot of vodka

"Strippers aint coming!" he laughed loudly, "sorry mate, Delilah is all I need. Man she's got a smoking body!"

"Well each has his own taste right?" he smiled. "And my taste right now is this lovely Vodka." he emptied another glass and sat down in a chair since he got a little dizzy and it got very hot in there.
"Wait! Yeah wait! Hehe.. let me call a stripper!" he already grabbed his phone, but still waited. "You waaant one right?" he winked.
"I know a really good one, she was there on my birthday once, and GODDD I mean... SHE was smoking."

Delilah rummaged through Amber's freezer. "The ice cream..." she groaned, staring at the various flavors available. "So many choices." She grinned broadly. "I think I'll be really crazy and get a bit of every flavor!"

She pulled the containers out of the freezer. Soon, the countertops were covered with bowls, spoons, ice cream cartons, and various ice cream toppings. Delilah stared at her creation-- peanut butter cup/cookies and cream/strawberry/vanilla/fudge brownie sundae, topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. "If this doesn't send us into shock from all the sugar, it'll be a miracle," she joked. She passed Amber a spoon. "Time to dig in!" she said with a laugh.

This is fun, Delilah thought, grinning. I wonder what else we can do. I hope Gavin is behaving himself.

Gavin lolled his head backwards and stared up at the ceiling, already exhausted and he realized he wasn't really into the hard partying anymore. He used to "work hard play hard" but now he wasn't really working so hard anymore, he didn't need the booze and the women to keep him happy. More than anything he just wanted to go home to Delilah and kiss her and make love to her, expressing his love for her in any way he could. He couldn't wait for tomorrow

As he stood up and downed another (his sixth) shot, everything started to become a little hazy and he couldn't even make out Chris anymore. His talking meant nothing to him and he chuckled happily to himself

"Delilah would be a smoking stripper!" Gavin giggled, "we should invite her mate! Hehe smoking girls smoking girls!!"

Chris only laughed at that comment and noticed Gavin was completely drunk now. He took his phone and messaged Cecilia instead, this was going to be so much fun.

See you there, Chris he send it and closed his phone, laughing softly as he waited for her to arrive.

Cecilia still sat in the bar when she got the message, and stood up, just to deciede that she was going there to check it out. She was totally drunk but that didn't stop her from walking all the way to QC where she walked inside over to the party room. It was full of men, and they practically all stared at her. She heard blurry sayings such as: 'Hey! The stripper is here' and other things and then she saw Gavin.

"Gaaaaaaavvviiiin!" she said laughing as she walked over to him, almost tripping as she did.
"You here too? Awesome... where's the women? I don't see any." she tried to steady her standing but instead fell over and leaned on the sides of Gavin's chair.
"Sorry, hehe"

Gavin looked up, feeling spacey as someone called out his name. His eyebrows furrowed but he laughed loudly when he saw it was Cecilia. What would she do to him? Hopefully she wouldn't mind that he was holding a party in the QC function room and had practically drunk all the alcohol

"Err no party here!" he laughed, trying to hide the several bottles on the bar as though he could hide the fact they were having a party. Unfortunately, due to his intoxicated state, it didn't really work

Laughing, Gavin lolled his head back again and stared up at the sky. He wanted Delilah to be here, so he looked over at Chris and shouted loudly to him, not realizing how loud he was talking: or what he was really saying, "yo Chris!" he called with a happy grin on his face, "where's the smoking stripper I wanted! Dee dee is minnnnneee!"

"She's right here!" Chris said, pointing at Cecilia. But she didn't hear that at all since she was only paying attention to Gavin.
"Why wasn't I invited?" she asked as she moved a hand through his blond hair and looking into his blue eyes. Actually... she wasn't doing anything that could be seen as 'Jumping on someone'. She gave him a quick peck on his cheek and said: "Congratulatiiooons! Or did I already say that?" she giggled.

Chris his brows furrowed as he saw that Cecilia wasn't paying any attention to him so he walked out of the room, over to the security room where he got a video of Gavin and Cecilia making out in the bathrooms, which happened lots of time ago, but since there was no time and it was in the QC building, no one could see it hadn't happened right there. He then left the building and jumped into his car, driving over to Amber's house where he knocked on the door.

Gavin looked up as someone kissed his cheek and he shyed away a little, wondering who it was. He hadn't wanted any strippers at his party: Delilah was enough for him and all he wanted. He looked up and met gazes with Cecilia, started to chuckle a little.

"Yea you said congrats!" he laughed, "but it's okay! I keep congratulating myself!"

Smiling, he stood up and moved away from Cecilia a little as he looked around for Chris. If someone started stripping he wasn't sure he'd be too happy: but he knew Chris would want to see it. Not finding him, Gavin turned back to Cecilia and poked her to get her attention

"This is a bachelor party!" he laughed louder than he had meant to as he downed another shot. He wasn't really having much fun, but the alcohol made it slightly better: at least he couldn't tell what he was doing much, "Chris said something about a stripper but I guess it was just the alcohol talking!" he snorted with laughter

Delilah jumped when she heard the knock at the door. "Should I get it?" she called to Amber, who was in the bathroom. Not waiting for a response, Delilah hurried to the door. Probably one of the neighbors, or the pizza we ordered, she thought. Heck, it might even be Gavin, in which case, he's welcome to join us.

She opened the door a crack, keeping the chain at the top firmly in place. She wasn't going to take any chances, just in case. Delilah squinted out at the person at the door. "Can I help you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Accursed interruptions, she thought. This guy doesn't have pizza, so he's probably here to complain about the noise.

"What do you want?" Delilah asked, speaking a bit louder.

"Bach-e-lor." she said, giggling. "Oh right! Sorry, I didn't know because I think someone invited me or something." she smiled at him and took a glass herself, emptying it.
"Maaaybee, I should strip." she joked. "I mean, those men are all staring at me since I walked in. Nah... I wouldn't do that, would I?" another giggle escaped her lips as she wrapped an arm around his back, looking around the room.

Chris swallowed hard and looked at Delilah.
"I thought... maybe... you needed to see this..." she said slowly, actually sober. He gave her the video tape. "Mind if I come in? I mean... maybe it's better if i'm there if you watch it."

Gavin pursed his lips as an arm went around his shoulders and he looked up at the ceiling again; he might have been full of shots and unsure what he was doing, but he loved to look up at the glittering night sky through the skylight. For some reason it made him think of Delilah who was under the same sky

"Whaat?" he asked Cecilia, not really listening to her as his mind was elsewhere: that and the alcohol, "they think you're the stripper!" he teased her

Laughing, Gavin began to redo the buttons off his shirt which he had stripped for Chris playfully earlier in the evening and he saw Cecilia watching him. It made him a little nervous, but he decidedly redid the bottom three buttons and then gave up, his hands slipping and he was too out of it

"Where did Chris go?" he asked her with a childish foolish grin on his lips

Delilah frowned. She didn't trust anyone who claimed they needed to be in a house where they didn't live. "How about if you give me the tape and wait outside while I watch it?" she suggested. "This isn't my house, so I can't go around inviting all and sundry in." Without waiting for a response, she snatched the video tape away and shut the door.

"This better be good," she muttered, popping it into the VCR. The images appeared on the screen. Delilah flinched, displeased by what she saw. Someone's trying to upset me... she thought. But then, she began to chuckle. This is an old tape, she thought. She recognized the odd pattern on the shirt very well.

She opened the door and tossed the tape back to Chris. "That's an old tape." She smirked. "Gavin doesn't have that shirt anymore. Not long after we got together, the washing machine ripped a huge hole in it. Gav gave it to me, and I ended up making the shirt into a bunch of headwraps to keep my hair out of my face when I do housework and when I sleep. Nice try, though," she called. "Next time, make sure you get a more recent video."

She chuckled and shut the door.

Cecilia laughed, she couldn't help it. And she just laughed about nothing. Chris had left yes, and he looked quite upset... not that she cared though.
"I've got no idea" she said, smiling at him. "Maybe he left to get the stripper. And maybe... I can entertain you while he's getting the stripper." she smirked and pushed him down on the chair softly. She placed a leg on one side of him and the other one on the other side and started a lapdance. Since she was drunk, she had no idea. She stroked his cheek and smirked at him while she did it.

Chris sighed as Delilah closed the door. He probably hated Cecilia as much as she did.
"Wait! You don't understand. Cecilia's on the party... stripping... for Gavin."

Gavin was annoyed as he got pushed back into a chair but he chose to ignore it, staring up at the ceiling again and grinned as he reached out to down another shot. He had definately had enough, but couldn't stop drinking them: they made everything more fun for some reason, even if he was missing Delilah terribly

"What the..." he started as Cecilia got on top of him

He laughed as she touched his cheek, wondering how anyone could think he was attractive really. As Cecilia touched him and stripped, Gavin's mind was elsewhere, doubting and going back over everything that had happened to him during the past sixth months

He wasn't getting cold feet: no way: more than anything he couldn't wait to marry Delilah and begin their fabulous life together, but he wondered why he was pouring drink into himself. Looking up again, he glanced around another time for Chris and chuckled

"You're heavy!" Gavin laughed to himself, pushing Cecilia off him a little

Delilah sighed and called through the door, "And he's probably trying to gouge his eyes out. Good night!"

She rolled her eyes and pulled out her cell phone. She pulled up Gavin's number and put in a message:

Hey, sweetie. Want to get away from the drunken psycho people and come hang out with some sane psycho people instead? Love you. DSR XOXOXO

She sent the message and then flopped onto the sofa. Some people just want you to be miserable. They won't take 'no' for an answer. How pathetic. I hope I never end up like that, ever. Those kinds of people are just... ugh! she thought bitterly. They are scum. Plain and simple. That's the nicest thing I have to say. But that's okay... I know that Gavin loves me, and not that... that... ooh, I have no words to describe her. Calm down, Dee. Anger is bad at this point in time. Last thing you need now is a miscarriage. Oh, maybe they're trying to force me into one... upset me enough? Maybe send me falling over the edge of a balcony or something?

Cecilia backed off a little, laughing at his comment.
"That's because there are wittle people in my stomach" she laughed and touched his cheek another time. How she loved to touch him.
"I wonder if that stripper's going to be here soon, I don't think I have lots of moves left." she said and grabbed his hand, intwining her fingers with his for a moment. He was drunk, and so was she. She couldn't help it that he was so loveeeely.
"Let meeeee entertain you" she sang softly, giggling through her words. "You know you want to." she teased. She then pulled him out of the chair and kicked it away, dancing with him on the music.

Chris shook his head. She just didn't want to see the reality. Cecilia really was stripping for him and Delilah didn't care?

Gavin was taken aback by Cecilia's fast advances, but he laughed to himself and started to dance with her. Maybe he had had too much to drink? Perhaps he shouldn't be here. And where was Chris? Where was Delilah's father? Had he not got his message

Just as he was thinking about it, arms closed around Cecilia's waist as they danced wildly, his cell phone vibrated with a message. Gavin groaned to himself, not possessing the common sense to attempt a message back, but he opened it anyway and smiled when he saw it was from Delilah. With a girlsome chuckle, he hit new message clumsily and typed a message back

Hey lovie :)
But it's my bachelor night! How about you come join us?!
If I come home will you strip for me? Love you lots and lots xxxx

He giggled as he typed it and then stuck his cell phone back into his pocket, turning his attention back to Cecilia who had her hands all over him

Delilah jumped a little as her phone vibrated. She flipped it open and read the message:

She smiled a little and pressed in a response to Gavin:

How about I pick you up at QC and we head home? Kind of a compromise. Sounds good? DSR XOXOXO

She pressed send and then sat back, hand on her stomach. I wonder what you will look like... she thought. Lately, she'd been having odd dreams about twin babies. Nah, you just shouldn't eat pies and cheesecake before bed, she scolded herself, smirking a little. The likelihood of you having twins... well, that's crazy. But whatever. Go get an ultrasound after the honeymoon and reassure yourself. Plain and simple.

She grinned up at him as he danced with her. She swayed with him on the music and she now wrapped her arms fully around his neck, he was so gorgeous, and his personality was great. How couldn't she have said she liked him earlier, before the new workers came.
"You're so gorgeous" she said with a girly squeel. Wrapping a leg around him.
"Are you going?" she moved a hand through his beautiful blond hair and looked into his blue eyes. She didn't want him to go, not now when they were having so much fun.
"Don't go prettyboy" she giggled again and the music continued playing, so she kept dancing with him, her body just moving with the rhytm, not able to control it.

Gavin laughed wildly at Cecilia's words and he playfully smacked her on the base of her back, poking her skin underneath her top and then let go of her as his cell phone vibrated again. Opening the message with one hand and swigging another shot with his other hand, he smiled at Delilah's message

He grinned back at Cecilia and pretended to bite her, knashing his teeth and her and pretended to bite the end of her nose as he drew her back for more dancing. He had never been much of a dancer, but recently Gavin had been enjoying it, guess it was just the right music

"Rawr" she growled, giggling right after it as she quickly moved a hand under his shirt and then back, feeling his warm skin for a moment.
She closed her eyes and pretended to bite him back, her lips moving over his for only a second. She held hand arm as she moved back a little and took off her shirt, revealing a black top which was still over her bra.
She always did that. Still, the black top looked much sexier. She wrapped her arms around his neck again and continued dancing.
She then looked deeply into his eyes and smiled a little, he had such gorgeous eyes. She then moved her face closer and brushed her cheek against his, laughing softly.
"These songs are like magic... they just make you move the right way. And then with a gorgeous man like you..."

Delilah called to Amber, "I'm heading to QC. Come by if you want. I'll try to come back tonight, but I'm not promising anything."

She clambered into the car and started it up. The car roared down the street and to QC. She hurried into the building and to the party room. It was only then that she realized that she should have changed before coming in.

Maybe the short dress/nightie looking thing was a bad choice. But whatever. I've seen worse in clubs, she thought.

"Hey," a guy called out. "The stripper's here."

Delilah raised an eyebrow. "Stripper?" she muttered. She decided to play along. "Uh, yeah, sure. But I'm here to give Mr. Ruppetts a very special surprise."

"He's over there," the guy called out, pointing.

A friend of his muttered, "Dude, I think that's the secretary."

"... The one engaged to Ruppetts?"

"Yeah."

"Wow."

Delilah sauntered over to Gavin and pulled him away from Cecilia. "Pardon me," she said to Cecilia, "but I think it's my turn to dance with my fiance. If you want to go grind up on someone, there's some guys over there looking for a stripper. You look cheap enough for their tastes."

Cecilia frowned as she pulled her away. "What the hell" she swore as she tumbled to the ground. She threw a look at Gavin which practically showed the words: How can you allow this?
She stood up and walked over to Gavin, patting him on the shoulder so he would step back a little and then she stood between Delilah and Gavin.
"And what did I deserve that for? I am allowed to finish this dance with this lovely man. I mean, if he was rejecting me dancing with him, then I would agree." she looked angrily at Delilah once more.
"It's not like i'm throwing you on the ground."

Gavin was, again, a little taken aback by Cecilia dancing so close to him but he had to admit she looked pretty good in that little black top. He laughed slightly but pulled himself backwards from her hold, only to watch her be forced away from him.

"Pardon me, but I think it's my turn to dance with my fiance.

His eyes lit up immediately at the sound of Delilah's voice, and they then nearly fell out of their sockets when he saw her dress. Well, it was hardly to be called a dress, gorgeous negligee would be more appropriate, especially as it was slightly see-through under the bright lights. Even in his innebriated state, Gavin could tell she was being oogled by half the guys in the place

"Mine all mine!" he laughed, swooping his fiance into his arms and kissed her passionately, stroking her sides gently and picked her up slightly from his hold on her. Once he let go he grinned widely, just smiling down at her gaze. Instantly his attention turned back to Cecilia as she forced between them

"And what did I deserve that for?"

"What?" Gavin asked laughing, "you look hot, and the dance was great. But I'd rather dance with my fiance babe, I'll save you a dance later if it means that much to you"

Delilah eased herself closer to Gavin and wrapped her arms tightly around him. All this drama, she thought. Amber should be here to see it. She smiled up at Gavin, a slightly dangerous smile. It was a smile that was like poisoned cake-- sweet-looking on the surface, but deadly and bitter beneath. It was a smile she reserved only for moments when she was very displeased.

"Sweetie, I think you've danced with Miss Queen enough for one night," she said. "Besides, lots of other guys want their turns with her too. It would be terribly rude to keep her to yourself." She narrowed her eyes.

Nearby, the two guys continued chatting. "I've seen her somewhere before."

"Where?"

"In a magazine, maybe?"

"Only magazines you read are the clothing-optional kinds."

"Well, I could have sworn I saw her somewhere, and I don't mean in stuff related to Queen's Clothes."

"Nice outfit she's got on. I must say, Ruppetts has great taste in chicks."

Delilah smirked, just barely hearing their conversation. Ego booster, she thought, pleased.

Gavin chuckled and pulled Delilah closer to him, stroking her hair softly as they moved slowly to their own rhthym, and he drowned in her gaze as Cecilia stood watching them. Besides, if Delilah didn't want him to dance with her then he'd do what she wanted, not like he was dying to dance with his boss

In the background he could just about hear two of his friends talking about Delilah, and he giggled foolishly at what they were saying. He knew his fiance was gorgeous and had always thought so, and the fact that other guys thought so too made him feel all mushy inside

"I told you that you were stunning" Gavin whispered to her, "I may have drunk too much but I can still tell you're the prettiest girl in this room!" he giggled

Smirking, he caressed her cheek, "what's a guy got to do to get a kiss round here?" he teased, winking at his fiance

Cecilia laughed as she leaned against a wall. Whatever Delilah told her, she didn't care. SHE was the one who posed naked, and that's why people knew her.
Not because she runs a large company. Cecilia winked at Gavin, saying that he had promised her a dance and she wanted it.
She looked around, the men still watching her and she looked back, with a pissy look on her face which made them look away immediately. She giggled as that happened. Gavin would probably not keep his promise, since Delilah was the slave-master in the room. A man then approached her and grinned, pinning her against the wall and she looked akward at him.
"Please... go away" she said. The man only grinned and touched her cheek, making her cringe.
"No way princess."

"Go... away" she said another time, glacing around the room scared. But the man didn't listen and continued touching her.
"FUCK OFF" she swore. But it seemed like nothing helped. So he continued...

Delilah feigned disgust. "Kiss you?" she teased. "While you're all drunk? What makes you think I would dare do something so horrible? But if I must, then all you have to do is marry me." She laughed and kissed Gavin passionately.

"Hey," one of his friends gasped, "I just remembered where I saw her."

"Yeah? Where?"

"You were right about the magazines! She was in a bunch of them. This was a few years ago, but she still looks pretty much the same."

"So Ruppetts is going to marry a centerfold chick? Way to go! He's living the dream of lots of guys! She's a gorgeous woman, that's for sure."

Delilah giggled when she heard this. "Hey, Gav," she whispered, "I think you're the envy of a lot of your friends now. Just don't let them bother you for pictures."

She glanced around. "Eh? Where'd Cecilia go? Sulking? Drinking?"

Gavin sobered instantly as Delilah kissed him and he smiled, taking her into his arms and let her rest her head on his shoulder. Buttoning up his shirt again a little, he grinned as his friends started talking

"I think you're the envy of a lot of your friends now. Just don't let them bother you for pictures."

Laughing, he ruffled Delilah hair and playfully smacked her on the butt and pinched her gently. He then picked her up under her legs and whirled her around teasingly, sticking his tongue out at his mates

"If you're good she might strip for...me!" he teased them, "yes she's a centerfold chick: but she's my centerfold chick!" Gavin laughed

Cecilia gasped as the man started kissing her neck, she tried to push him away but couldn't.
She had drank to much and she was too weak.
"Stop it you asshole" she said, but it looked like it only made him want it more. He grasped at her top and tried pulling it up, but Cecilia kept her arms down. The thought of THAT guy being one of Gavin's friends made her cringe.
"Please stop" she whispered, as a tear began to sting in her eye.
But he once again didn't listen, grasping her arms and pulling them away only to quickly rip that top off. He started kissing her neck, down to her chest and she started shaking, what the hell was that guy doing?
She tried to hit him but it would probably only have felt like a pat.
"Stop... I beg you"

Delilah frowned. Something felt off to her. For as long as she could remember, she'd been able to tell when something was off-kilter. As her family often said, she had a gift for reading the present.

"Where's Cecilia?" she asked one of the guys nearby.

"Who?"

"Red hair, decent figure, around my age..."

"Yeah, I think I saw her over there," came the response, pointing in a general direction.

Delilah thanked the man and hurried in that direction. What's happening this time? she thought. I swear, this company never has a dull moment. It's probably taken years off of my life already!

Just barely audible to her, due to the pounding music, she heard a soft cry. Definitely female. She hurried in that direction. Christ, Cecilia, why do you always get into messes?

She found Cecilia cornered by a man, ripping her clothes off. That sick freak! she thought fiercely at the man. Her experience as a bartender and dealing with idiotic drunks would come in handy. "Time for a drunk-rolling," she muttered.

"Excuse me!" she yelled, yanking the guy away. "Would you like to apologize to Miss Queen before or after I beat you up?" She gave the man several sharp kicks to the groin and dragged him out of the room.

Delilah called out to the nearest security officer, "Hey, take this guy to the drunk tank. He was trying to harm Miss Queen." Oh God, Cecilia, she thought, worried. She hurried back over to Cecilia.

"You okay?" she asked. As an individual, you are a disgusting, vile person I can't stand, but as a fellow human being, I owe it to you to at least keep you alive, especially considering you're pregnant, she thought.

"I guess" she said softly, holding her knees with her hands as she sat there.
"Thank you" she looked up at Delilah. She really was thankfull, she didn't want to know what that guy could have done to her.
"I told him to stop... but he just didn't listen. I was too weak." she wiped away a tear, and got herself up, not really stable, but she got up.
I'm so sorry about everything... but hating me for loving someone is cruel...
And you just didn't understand that I had changed. And I am drunk... what do you expect from a in love-drunken-woman.
This event, and then I mean the guy... had given her a little sober moment, which was broken after a while.

Chinsa was sitting on her couch painting her nails. She usually got them done by professionals.But Gavin's and Delilahs wedding was tommorow and she didn't want to look better than the bride. Yet and still she was heading to the hair dresser at seven in the morning to get her hairstyled. And she was wearing a 5,000 dollar dress. She told herself "I have to look ten times better than I normally do because I am going to a wedding by myself, and I know that is social suicide," Then she thought I could ask Amber's brother. But she didn't have his number, but she did have Amber's she just ask her to ask him to be her escort to the wedding.
She took out her cellphone and typed a quick text to Amber.

Gavin watched in horror as Delilah beat up a guy who was trying to hurt Cecilia, but he was still too passed it to feel anything. He massaged his temples as he hurriedly ordered a hard esspresso and then stumbled over to the two women, snatching each of them by the hand

"C are you alright?" he asked his boss, biting his bottom lip anxiously. As his head pounded, he turned to Delilah and offered her a small sheepish smile, "thanks for dealing with that. I should have been the one to 'save' her, but I've definately drunk too much."

Pausing, Gavin let go of Cecilia's hand and cupped Delilah's chin in both hands, tilting her head up to meet his gaze

"How about we dance for a little while, then go home?" he offered with a sigh, wishing he had never had the idea for a bachelor party in the first place. It wasn't like he was going to sleep with another woman: no matter who it was: even if Britney Spears waltzed in and offered him a quickie on the couch. But now he was sobering up, knocked back two esspressos, and smiled at his soon-to-be-wife, overjoyed and couldn't wait for tomorrow and when he'd get to say I do

Delilah smiled up at Gavin and squeezed him. "By the way," she said, "I'm going to have people at the door with a guest list. Basically, if you weren't invited, you're not allowed in. I'm not going to have our special day ruined. I only want our family and close friends there. No outsiders. If you don't feel the need to associate with us regularly, you have no need to be at the ceremony, you know?" She sighed. "I know that sounds mean, but that's just how I feel."

She grinned. "Now let's get you home. You're going to be hungover tomorrow, I can tell. You just don't know what moderation means, do you?" She chuckled a little.

Our big day... finally. It's nearly here. Wow, she thought. I just hope nothing bad happens. Once again, she mentally ran through the guest list: Gavin's family, hers, Amber, Xander... the people that they were close to.

But he probably wasn't going to keep that promise so whatever. She stood up and patted Gavin on his back as she walked over to where the drinks were, mentioning the dance. At the table she grabbed a cup of coffee and drank it slowly. Letting it softly sober her up a bit.
Yeah... she couldn't wait for tomorrow too. Ugh... stupid world with that stupid love and it's stupid people who just fall in love with someone but don't understand it'll never work out. She hated the world at that point.

Gavin smiled and took a firm squeezing hold of Delilah's hand, remembering what his friends and collegues had said about her earlier. He wasn't too keen on them oogling her, but if they thought she was a great catch then that wasn't too bad! He chuckled, he was marrying a 'centerfold chick', never believed he'd say those words!

"Now let's get you home. You're going to be hungover tomorrow, I can tell. You just don't know what moderation means, do you?"

Chuckling, he admitted defeat and shook his head, beginning slowly walking out of the QC party room and glanced back quickly to say goodbye to Cecilia. As he couldn't see her because she'd moved on, he decided to forget about it, and simply left the building hand in hand with his love, and down to the parking lot

"You want to drive?" he laughed, "drink and driving aint the best idea!"

He smiled although he was fast sobering up thankfully: as long as he had a few big glasses of water before bed then he probably wouldn't have too much of a bad hangover in the morning

"I promise I won't be passed out during the ceremony!" Gavin chuckled, "oh god it's nearly here!" And I'm freakin nervous..., he added in his head, deciding to keep that bit from Delilah: she didn't need to know

Delilah nodded. "Yeah, I better drive," she replied. "You're in no condition for it!" She sighed. "Well, I should be thankful that you haven't had enough to put you in the hospital this time, I guess. Just please don't make a habit of this. I don't want to be married to an alcoholic."

She located the car and unlocked it, then helped Gavin in. "Amber is probably going nuts, wondering what happened to me," she said. "Let me send her a quick message to let her know all is well."

Delilah plucked her phone out of her purse and rapidly pressed buttons:

Amber, sorry I ran off. Gav is a little drunk, and I need to see to him. Swing by later, if you want. Don't forget about tomorrow! DSR

She pressed "send" and then put the phone away. "Now, let's get you in bed, before you do anything to actually hurt yourself," Delilah suggested.

Cecilia sighed and emptied her coffee cup.
The next day was going to be hard for her. But she needed to be strong. She placed the coffee cup on the large black table and started walking towards the exit of the room when the guy walked up to her again. She frowned.
"Now there's no one to protect you" he smirked and reached out to touch her.
Cecilia laughed at him, made a fist and punched him in the face.
"Better leave me alone next time!" she snapped as she walked out of the room and the building. The fresh air felt great and she began walking home.

Gavin smiled and nodded, taking Delilah's hand as she started the car, giving it a soft squeeze and stroked the inside of her palm. He closed his eyes with a happy grin on his face, looking forward to the wedding tomorrow and couldn't wait, even if he was slightly nervous. There was no way he was going to change his mind though: after months of waiting and nerves whether she'd say yes, now they would be getting married and starting a new perfect life together

Just please don't make a habit of this. I don't want to be married to an alcoholic."

"I'm sorry Dee" Gavin said sadly, unhappy that he had disappointed her, "I won't do it again for a long time" He looked over at her and tried to smile, meeting her gaze and a shiver shot through his spine. He hadn't felt like that since their first kiss, and he was pleased: the old magic was still there

"Now, let's get you in bed, before you do anything to actually hurt yourself,"

Gavin nodded and chuckled, stroking Delilah's hand again as she drove them home, "okay then miss" he teased her, "but you promised on the beach that you'd make it up to me tonight! Think you could squeeze in a little lipstick therapy? It seems like months since we've shared a passionate night together: I don't want us to become an old married couple just yet!" he laughed

Delilah squeezed Gavin's hand reassuringly. "I'm not disappointed in you. I just don't want you to drink yourself stupid," she explained gently. "And lipstick therapy before bed, just as you want, darling. Sounds good?"

One more thing... she thought. She pulled out her phone again and sent a message to Cecilia:

Take care of yourself and those babies. If you don't feel like driving home, there's some money in my office. Use it to take a cab and get something good to eat. I hope you're okay. Best wishes. DSR.

She pressed "send" and put the phone away. With a sigh, she started up the car. "To the Ruppetts residence," she said cheerfully.

It's a good thing I stopped that guy, she thought. If I hadn't, he might have really hurt Cecilia. I may not get along with her too well, but I sure don't want to see anything bad happen to her.

She looked over at Gavin and smiled softly. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life, she thought. Maybe someday, Cecilia will have a nice guy of her own.

Cecilia was halfway home when she got a message. It surprised her that is was from Delilah. Somehow she expected it was to tell her to stay the fuck away from the wedding, but it wasn't. She smiled softly at the message. She didn't have to get a cab or something to eat. It was good to walk sometimes and she still had some fruit at home.
Several cars passed by, and the lights of the houses were beautiful at this part of town. She leaned against a wall and started a reply to the message.
I will, and I walked over there so I'll just walk home, it's good to have some fresh air. Thank you.

Gavin smiled, and sat back as Delilah drove them to their home. He loved calling it that, and soon his love would share his surname and they'd finally be man and wife. The thought alone gave him goosebumps. Finally Delilah pulled them into the driveway and he clambered out, rushing round to open the door for her and picked her up in his arms and carried her to the door

"Welcome home" he whispered, placing her down gently and gave her a quick but loving kiss

He then ran into the kitchen and downed a few glasses of water, sobering him up a little. He was still pretty tipsy, but at least not as plastered as before, and quickly he hurried back to Delilah and carrried her upstairs

"You know, Cecilia would kill to be in your position right now!" Gavin giggled as he placed his lover on the bed and their lips met again for another explosive time, "I love you babe, don't ever forget it!"

Delilah giggled and toyed with Gavin's hair. "I'm a bad influence," she whispered. "I just heard from Cecilia, and apparently... well, that guy who was trying to hurt her... she hit him!" She laughed. "Way to go, Cecilia!" She grinned broadly.

Didn't think she had it in her! she thought to herself. I always figured she was some pampered little snob. But enough on that. Time to focus on the fun stuff!

She smiled sweetly, and then, without warning, tickled Gavin's sides. "That's your punishment!" she said, cackling wickedly. "You've been a bad, bad Gav!" She giggled and hid under the blankets, and then peeked out at Gavin. "Don't hurt me!" she squealed, trying to look cute and innocent. "I'm a good girl."

Gavin laughed and went under the covers, rugby tackling Delilah and locked his legs around her waist as they rolled around the bed together. Finally he pinned her down and started to tickle her mercilessly, pinning her arms down so she couldn't get away

"Get Cecilia!" he giggled, "way to go!"

He laughed again and started to tickle Delilah again, while his other hand worked fast to gently pull off her 'barely-there' negligee and chucked it to the floor with a grin. Once again he kissed her, still tickling her sides and stomach gently

"I'm not a bad bad Gav!" he said, pretending to look shocked, "on the contrary I'm the most fantastic wonderful man in the whole world and you're lucky to have me!" he teased, "but...if I was a bad Gav - you have to pay me with kisses!"

"Why?" Delilah whined, pretending to pout. "Maybe I don't want to kiss you! Maybe the baby is angry with you and is telling me, 'Mommy, don't kiss that mean old man! He's scary!'" She laughed, unable to keep a straight face for much longer. She kissed Gavin deeply.

"And you're right, you are a wonderful, fantastic man. And I'm extremely lucky to have you. Not a day goes by that I don't realize this," she finally said. She smiled adoringly up at him. What a wonderful guy! she thought to herself. Our children will have a good life with loving parents. Who'd have guessed that when I started working at QC, I'd end up with this total hottie? Me, the secretary with a bad past and drinking problems. Who knew?

Gavin pretended to look shocked and spanked Delilah gently on the behind, working quickly to remove the rest of her clothes and he smiled widely at her. As they kissed again, more sparks flew through his body

"And you're right, you are a wonderful, fantastic man. And I'm extremely lucky to have you. Not a day goes by that I don't realize this,"

At her words, Gavin went all mushy inside and he sat back for a moment just to gaze at Delilah, reaching out to stroke her cheek and forehead before their lips joined again. He just couldn't keep his eyes off her, each breath he breathed her in and she filled his whole body with overwhelming love

"I don't know how I ended up with you" he whispered to Delilah, smiling at her lovingly, "you're absolutely perfect and I still can't believe you're mine!"

Amber was on the house phone talking to her brother, who had assured her that he had everything ready for the wedding tomorrow, when the text message alert went off on her cell phone. "One sec" she said, putting the house phone on speaker "Text message".

She flipped her phone open and snickered as she read it. "Get this Xander" she said "Remember the model from the beach this morning".

"The one with the girlfriend who thought the beach was a catwalk? Yeah I do why"

"She wants to know if you'd like the, and I quote, honour of escorting her to the wedding"

"You've gotta be kidding"

"Nope"

"I thought she was....you know....doesn't she have a girlfriend"

"I thought so too. OH well, you're already booked for the evening and don't forget it".

"I know, I know. Look, we should just get to bed anyway, it's getting late. Go call Delilah and make sure things are okay. I'll see you tomorrow baby sister"

"Allright, see you tomorrow. Love you"

Amber hung up the phone and fired off a few text messages. One to Chinsa telling her Alexander was already taken, and one to Delilah asking if everything was ok.

Delilah stirred from her sleep when she heard her cell phone vibrate. "Hm?" she muttered. She picked up the cell phone and, shielding the bright screen from Gavin, peered at the message. "Amber," she muttered.

She grinned a little and put in her message:

Yeah, everything's okay. A little drama, but nothing major. I can't wait to see you and Xander tomorrow. DSR.

She sent the message and then laid back, smiling to herself. "Soon," she muttered to herself. "Soon." She set the phone on the nightstand nearby and peeked over at Gavin, checking to see if she'd disturbed him. Mine, she thought, gently brushing Gavin's hair out of his face.

Gavin slowly opened his eyes as a gentle hand brushed his long hair out of his face, and he smiled as he met gazes with Delilah. Instantly he shuffled closer to her and held out his arms for her to lie in, then cosied up beside her: perfectly content and happy

"I love you" he told her in a whisper

He smiled again and gently stroked Delilah's upper arm with his thumb, lolling himself back to sleep as he happily dreamed about the upcoming wedding, unable to think of anything else and unable to get rid of the happy smile on his face

"I can't wait for tomorrow, the happiest day of my life" he whispered

Chris rushed through the drawers and cabinets of his house. He hated that guy. How could she love someone like that? Ugh... bastard There has to be something to wipe that guy off the planet or atleast make him sick.
He continued his search, still unable to find something. Then his eyes were locked on one thing. He smirked. That was it! Hah! That had to work.

Cecilia yawned as she laid on the sofa with ice-cream. Chocolate ice-cream to be exact. A large bowl of it too. She had to eat ice-cream all that night just to get to sleep. And even then she would be lying and staring at the ceiling. The wedding... awfull. She looked out of the window of her large penthouse and watched the colourfull streets, which slowly began to fade to boring lightless ones, since the people slowly went to sleep. A single tear feel down her cheek as it felt like her stomach turned around. Why did she feel so stupid?

Early on the day of the wedding, Gavin crawled out of the bed and put his boxers back on then headed downstairs. Every part of his body trembled from anticipation and excitement, even though he was a little nervous about getting married. He was still only young, but couldn't wait for the wedding, he was blissfully happy

Slowly, he tiptoed into the kitchen and prepared breakfast for the bride: a big pile of waffles and syrup and a hot chocolate with a big dollop of whipped cream on top. He grinned to himself, playing the perfect husband and then carried the breakfast on a tray back upstairs and into the bedroom

"Wakey wakey" he whispered to Delilah as he placed the tray down and crawled onto the bed and began to kiss her neck and ear, biting down gently on the earlobe

"Breakfast is served" Gavin said, handing his fiance her robe to put on and then placed the tray down in front of her, "or are you slimming to get into your wedding dress?" he teased her, "happy wedding day Princess"

Delilah grinned at Gavin. Her phone vibrated, and she snatched it up and read the message. "Good news," she said. "Not only will we have heavy-duty police protection, but it'll be from some old friends of mine. A bunch of my old high school buddies turned good and are now local cops. Awesome, eh?"

She passed him the phone and dug into the food. "In fact," she said, between mouthfuls, "I think my old buddy MJ told me she wanted to bring our gifts early."

As if on cue, the doorbell rang. "I'll get that," Delilah said, kissing Gavin's cheek and setting the food carefully aside. She ran to the door and opened it. A pretty, but still strong-looking, woman grinned at her and passed her a box. "Congrats," she said. "I remember back in high school, you drooled over something similar, so..."

Delilah unwrapped and opened the box and peered inside. There were two guns, one dainty, with a pearl-like handle, and a larger, but still compact one.

"You got us guns?" Delilah asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah."

"A bit untraditional, but... well, I guess it's better than a shotgun wedding, eh?" Delilah quipped. She hugged her friend. "You want to come in?"

"No, I need to head on down to the ceremony location with the others. You take care now, you hear?" MJ said, patting her friend on the head.

Delilah laughed and shut the door, then headed back up the stairs. "Hey, hon, check out our wedding presents," she chuckled, passing Gavin the box.

Chinsa was sitting on her bed reading a horror novel. She heard the phone playing her text tone she jumped a bit then she flipped open the phone. It was a text from Amber telling her that her brother was already taking somebody to the wedding. She thought "Figures he is probably taking Amber, I don't know what's worse getting rejected or going alone." She then headed upstairs and climbed in the bed to meditate on her life and where it was going. Gavin and Delilah were going to start their lives together. Could she end up that way? Did she want to end up that way? These were questions that stirred in her mind and she lay in her bed her body stretched across the large matress her black mane covering the pillows. She decided to text Delilah for what reason she didn't know, her hands moved swiftly across the keys she wrote:
Hey D
the begining of the rest of your life is about to occur
how ya doing hope Gavins not stressin ya.
See ya later Chinsa
Then she slid into her gown a headed to the ceremony location. The one time in her life she wouldn't be fashionably late.

Gavin smiled and watched the perfectly formed backside of his future-wife as she trotted out of the bedroom and downstairs. While she was gone, he reclined backwards on the bed and let out a happy sigh, then decided to surprise Delilah when she came back: stripping off his boxers and hid under the covers playfully

"Hey, hon, check out our wedding presents,"

With a grin, he took the box and slowly eased off the lid and was shocked to see the contents: guns? Why would someone buy them guns as a wedding present? Still, he had to laugh and took out the larger one, peering at it

"I have a feeling life is going to be very 'interesting' being married to you" Gavin teased, placing both guns back in the box as the Delilah's cell phone vibrated from the table and he picked it up and opened the message. It was from Chinsa and he quickly typed a reply

Delilah weighed one of the guns in her hand, then frowned. "Something's off with the weight," she commented. "It should weigh more than this. Unless..." She toyed with it for a few seconds and then pulled out something about the size of a sewing needle. She let out a low chuckle.

"My friends know my tastes better than I thought. These aren't bullet-type guns. They're tranq guns," she explained. Examining the tiny item, she murmured, "Yup... thought so." To Gavin, she said, "Darts this size are good for stealth. Leaves a very tiny mark. It's good to have friends in high places."

She carefully replaced the dart and returned the gun to its original state. "I think I'll bring this with me. Amber's going to get a kick out of this!" She chuckled and crawled back into bed. "I don't want to be alone without you for a second!" she giggled.

Gavin smiled as Delilah crawled back into the bed and he held out his arms to her, snuggling up close to her and wrapped his legs around her. Those guns...why would someone buy them? But, on the other hand, tranq guns were pretty amazing things to have, might even come in handy someday!

"Is life with you always like this?" he asked with a chuckle, "just don't go hurting anyone with that thing!"

"I don't want to be alone without you for a second!"

Gavin laughed and fiegned shock, "what? NEVER! I have to go to the bathroom you know! What are you gunna do? Follow me in and grin at me from the bath tub as I try to go to the toilet!" he smiled and kissed Delilah's nose and both cheeks, finally finding her lips, "don't be so naughty!" he teased

"Yeah," Delilah said. "I'm going to follow you everywhere you go, gun in hand, just in case some roach or fly decides to bother you." She laughed. "Someone has to protect my big manly sweetheart."

Delilah giggled and playfully poked at Gavin. In a scary voice, she intoned, "I never miss my target." She laughed at herself and added, in her own voice, "Seriously, though, Dad taught me to shoot a gun way back in elementary school, and regularly took me to shooting ranges. So, no need to worry about me running around, shooting random objects! I know and respect weapons."

She winked and added, "And if we get any uninvited guests, I can shoot them with a tranq dart. Voila, no more problem! But who would be rude enough to show up to a wedding uninvited? I mean, we only invited our families, Amber, and Xander, right? Unless I forgot someone?"

Gavin laughed and grabbed hold of Delilah's hands and pinned them behind her back playfully, then kissed her neck and started to tickle her mercilessly, still keeping her hands behind her

"Don't you dare go round shooting people!" he teased, "at least, ask permission before you shoot someone! You'll end up either in the slammer or hurting yourself! A dead wife is no good to me thank you very much!" When he said the word wife, a pleasant jolt shot through him and he tingled, already anticipating the years to come and their happy life together, to begin in only a few hours

"Yea it's a pretty closed guest list!" Gavin remarked, kissing Delilah's hand and pulled her under the covers with him, "and no you aren't allowed to shoot any uninvited ones...well, maybe just one!" he teased her

Amber was having a particularly nice dream featuring her, Brad Pitt and a deserted island when she was rather quickly and rudely awoken by a dog. A dog belonging to her that had been thrown on top of her by her brother.

"You know the only thing saving you from decapitation is the fact that you're my brother right" she muttered, shoving her pitbull off the bed. Said dog trotted off downstairs, while Alexander didn't look threatened in the least.

"Uh huh, that and the fact that there's an extra large double double tea sitting downstairs with a doughnut" he said, laughing as Amber shot right out of bed "And thank you for wearing pants to bed"

"You're the one that sleeps naked pervert" she muttered, pulling a robe on and heading downstairs with Alexander behind her.

Alexander grabbed her phone off the bedside table and followed her. He sent a text message to Delilah, telling her he had "Woken up the beast with a Timmies bribe and would make sure she was there on time"

Gavin smiled as he pulled a pair of clean boxers on and buttoned a shirt loosely around his frame, shoving his legs into darkwash jeans that would do on the way to the park. He grinned when he realized Delilah hadn't seen the place that he and her father had chosen for the wedding: a small ornate archway with flowers decorated as far as the eye could see and a small white building where the happy couple could change and a possible shelter if it rained.

He couldn't help but grin to himself, excited that his wedding day was finally here and he watched Delilah get out of the bed, blowing her a jokey kiss

"Do you have everything you need?" he asked her, "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue?"

Gavin walked over to her and put his arms around her, kissing her softly on the mouth and smiled happily at his fiance. He was about to get married: start their new lives together. With a smirk, he opened a small box from the wardrobe and handed it to her, taking out the ornate pale blue veil inside

"Here. Something new and something blue, I hope it matches your dress." he teased, "and there's also a blue garter in there. My cousin bought it for me - so I suppose it counts as borrowed" he laughed.

Delilah laughed delightedly and draped the veil over her head. "It's beautiful," she declared, embracing Gavin tightly. "Thank you. I wish I had something to give you." She carefully removed her veil, folding it and placing it back in the box. She carefully placed the box into the bag containing her dress, shoes, jewelry, and handbag (containing her new toy... er, gun).

Delilah eased herself out of bed and selected a comfortable pair of slacks and a nice blouse to wear on the way over to the wedding site. No sense in messing up my wedding dress, right? she thought. She carefully styled her hair, curling the ends up a little, and then she set to work on her makeup. Finally finished, she turned to Gavin.

"Well, do I pass inspection?" she asked, with a teasing grin.

Gavin smiled at the reaction he had gotten from Delilah and relished the thought that he knew just how to please her. They were perfect for each other: and still everyday they grew closer and closer. It was definately love

"Well, do I pass inspection?" she asked, with a teasing grin.

With a grin, Gavin stood up from his seat on the end of the large double bed and wrapped his arms around Delilah, "well...considering the fact that I've spent the last five minutes watching your perfectly formed butt - yes you definately pass inspection!" he teased

He smacked her delicately on the behind and then moved gather his stuff before they left, shoving everything into a bag and ran a brush through his hair hurriedly. He couldn't wait for the wedding: and it would be the first time Delilah got to meet his parents who should be arriving anytime soon: he'd promised to pick them up from the train station in just under an hour

"Come on Princess, lets go!" Gavin laughed

Delilah laughed and held up the keys. "Are you driving, or am I?" she asked. A bit more seriously, she added, "Are you okay? No hangover? Not going to be sick, are you?" If he's sick the day of our wedding... oh, poor man! she thought sympathetically.

She lifted up the bag and began to follow Gavin out to the car. "Got everything?" she asked. "Suit? Shoes? Rings? I'll shut up now, before you decide not to marry such a nagging wench." She chuckled softly at herself and squeezed Gavin's hand. "I hope your parents like me. It would be terrible if we didn't get alone."

I hope they like me, Delilah thought. I want us to get along and be happy, but life rarely works that way, huh?

Gavin shook his head and smiled, then quickly checked in his bag to make suer he had everything: his suit was already at the park and the rings were securely in his jacket pocket which he shrugged casually over his shoulders, then grinned at Delilah

"No I don't have a hangover!" he laughed, "I guess the large glasses of water last night really helped. I'll grab some aspirin just in case!"

Snatching up the bottle he shoved it into his bag along with everything else and took the keys from his fiance, heading out of the door and unlocked the car, bundling everything into the backseat along with Delilah's wedding dress

"My parents will love you, like I do!" Gavin smiled, leaning across the car to kiss her gently, "I'd better go pick them up soon, they won't be happy if I'm late! Will you be okay getting ready on your own? Amber will be there to help you put your garter on and everything!" he teased

Delilah climbed into the car with Gavin. "I told you, dear, I'm not leaving you alone," she reminded him. She grinned broadly and made herself comfortable. "Besides, I'll get a chance to talk to your parents on the way over. Kind of bond, you know?" She gave Gavin a pitiful, pouting look. "Please? Please, darling sweetheart?" She thought to herself, Gavin can't resist that look. Couldn't if he tried.

Delilah rearranged the bags to make room for Gavin's parents. "My parents are going to probably beat everyone else there, set stuff up, and generally annoy the security people I hired," she said with a soft chuckle. "And Mom promised to keep Dad away from the booze today, so that's one less thing to worry about, eh?"

Chris laughed as he ran at the back of the church, seeing the room where Gavin had to change before the wedding as he sneaked to the window and opened it with a stick. Quietly sneaking in. He felt his head hurting like hell, but whatever. He walked over to the door and checked if it was locked, it was. Damn. He had to find the keys. Then he took a glass and put something in it. Footsteps where suddenly heard. Probably the pastor or something. He gasped and jumped out of the room. Why didn't he just take something for his head immediately? It was killing him. He then ran around the corner and dissapeared.

Gavin laughed but nodded in agreement as he pressed down on the accelerator, driving the couple down the small city road and turned into the parking lot near the park. It was a beautiful day, but dark clouds loomed overhead that could threaten the wedding, but he chose not to think about it at that moment

"Okay I guess you can come!" he chuckled, waving his had dismissingly at Delilah as he stopped the car and grabbed a few bags from the back, taking them inside the small white building and into the room with 'GROOM' in gold on the door, "take everything in and then we can go!" he called out

He left the room again and waited outside, looking around to check who was here already - no sign of Amber yet, but Gavin grinned as Delilah's mother rounded the corner with a huge bouquet of flowers in her hands and looked extremely precarious

"What are you doing!" Gavin laughed, helping to steady her and smiled warmly, "Dee and I are going to go pick up my parents from the station, if anyone arrives early could you shove them a drink and show them their seats!" he smiled, then darted out of the door in pursuit of Delilah

Delilah waved at her parents, giggling a little at the oversized bouquet her mother was holding. Looks like she's ready to bash someone with it! she thought, trying to keep a perfectly straight face. Or maybe she had a bit to drink already. Mom drunk... now that's a fun thought.

She passed her father her bag. "Dad, put this in the room with Gavin's stuff," she told him. She pulled out the handbag. "This, however, will be staying with me." She opened up the bag and let her father peek inside. "Wow, nice!" her father remarked. "Bullets or tranqs?" "Tranqs. Stealth-like size," Delilah replied. "I'm jealous," her father remarked.

Delilah turned her attention back to Gavin. "Now let's go get your parents. Mine seem to be doing well enough."

Gavin laughed and put his hand on Delilah's playfully, pulling her away from her parents, "honey don't show them the gun!" he said in an overly dramatic and loud voice, "that's for a more private time!" and he 'rarwwed' playfully

He smiled and got back into the car and started it up once more, grinning around at the place where he was going to be married: it was finally here and he was more than a little nervous, but overly excited too. As he waited for Delilah to get in, he drummed his fingers on the steering wheel and contemplated everything - even briefly wondering what Cecilia was up too, hoping she wasn't going to crash the wedding

"Let's go!" he laughed as Delilah got in and he drove fast towards the station, arriving a couple of minutes late but hoped his parents wouldn't mind too much, "I'll run ahead" he told Delilah, "they'll kill me if I leave them waiting on the platform"

Gavin took off at a sprint down the platform and searched anxiously for his parents: only for his heart to stop at the high-pitched posh voice of his mother, "darlingggg!" she shrieked as she locked her arms around her son
