Delilah stared nervously at her soon to be in-laws. Will they like me? she thought fearfully, watching a rather well-dressed woman embrace Gavin.

"Must be his mother," she murmured. She walked slowly over, dreading each step. They'll hate me, I know it! she thought. Finally, she was standing beside Gavin. "Hello," she said politely. "I'm Delilah."

She glanced nervously over at Gavin. "It's nice to finally meet you." She held out her hand, hoping her nervousness was not evident. She glanced over at Gavin, uncertain. Do they like me or not? she thought. This is why I hate situations like this... meeting the parents. Always so nerve-wracking!

Gavin held his breath as his mother wrapped her arms around him and smothered him in her 'Chanel no5' perfume that smelled almost too motherly for her own good. He retched a little but managed to retain a calm cool outer persona, wriggling from his mother's grasp and smiled

"I'm Delilah. It's nice to finally meet you."

Delilah presence had certainly sent a bitter swirl through his mother, who raised her perfectly plucked eyebrows at the young woman and literally looked down her nose at her. Gavin held his breath again, knowing some nasty sour comment was going to spill from her mouth

"Is this the chauffeur?" Terrie Ruppetts asked, smiling pompously to herself as she knew what she just said, "hurry up girl and carry my bags"

As Gavin was about to smack his mother, luckily Arnie Ruppetts: his father, approached at that moment and placed a warning hand on his wife's shoulder, and then embraced his son: the resemblance between the two men was obvious. Both had natural good looks but Arnie's were more matured, like an old whisky that had been left to mature for years and emerged all the better

"Now dear, don't be spiteful!" Arnie said to his wife, taking Delilah's outstretched hand in his and kissed her knuckles gently, a broad smile across his tanned face, "nice to meet you sweetheart. I see little Gav here can still pick them! Welcome to the family"

"Is this the chauffeur?" Terrie Ruppetts asked, smiling pompously to herself as she knew what she just said, "hurry up girl and carry my bags."

Delilah flinched at these words. Cruel. So cruel! she thought. She peered over at Gavin's father, wondering what kind of sharp words he'd have to say.

"Now dear, don't be spiteful!" Arnie said to his wife, taking Delilah's outstretched hand in his and kissed her knuckles gently, a broad smile across his tanned face, "nice to meet you sweetheart. I see little Gav here can still pick them! Welcome to the family."

Delilah smiled, relieved. At least one of his parents is being nice to me, she thought. "Thank you, sir," she said aloud. "I can see that Gavin really took after you. It's great to meet you and your wife." More or less true, she thought to herself. She glanced over at Gavin.

"And now, we'll need to head over to the ceremony location, to get dressed for it and all," she said. "Gavin's going to be driving us. You'll meet my parents, of course, and I hope you'll all get along well. They're generally nice people, although a bit unconventional." She laughed, somewhat awkwardly. Very unconventional, she mentally added.

Gavin smiled thankfully as his father greeted Delilah like one of the family, but couldn't help scowl at his mother. She wasn't deliberately mean - she just wanted everyone to be like her, and couldn't understand these new ways of behaving. Swearing was one thing she full-stop wouldn't tolerate

However, Terrie seemed to be warming up to Delilah very slowly, although her face still resembled someone who had just spent the last ten minutes sucking on a lemon. Unfortunately his fiance didn't know when to shut up, and Gavin cringed

"They're generally nice people, although a bit unconventional."

At once, his mother scowled and coughed to get Delilah's attention, stopping the group from the walk back to the car as she turned her gaze down at her. Gavin prayed for a miracle, anything to prevent words from leaving's his mothers mouth

"Unconventional..." she started, clearly unimpressed but was desperately trying to appear the polite woman she saw in herself, "well err, that should be interesting! Tell me Deidre, have you been married before? Anything 'unconventional' in your background? I would really have liked to sit down for at least a chat before my young Gavin here decided to bite the bullet and marry you - oh but never mind! That's what divorce is for, right!" she laughed

DarkPhoenix
30th Dec 2007, 7:53 PM
Delilah smiled politely. Be nice. Be polite. This woman gave birth to the man you love, she told herself. "It's Delilah, Mrs. Ruppetts. And I haven't been married before, nor have I any desire to marry anyone else. I also have no desire to divorce him," she said, trying not to yell or curse or glare. "I love Gavin and plan on spending the rest of my life with him."

She glanced over at Gavin and gave him a slightly upset look. She doesn't like me, eh? she thought. I'm tempted to act like a total bloody idiot, just to get on her nerves, but I don't think that would be a good idea. Better be nice and mature and adult. Save the cursing and all for later on.

Although it was clear Delilah's words hadn't resonated well with his mother, his fiance's words left Gavin feeling all warm and mushy inside, fully bringing into account how much in love the two were. He smiled and quickened his pace, locking an arm around Delilah's waist in a gesture of protection, and a confirmation of love at the same time. If his parents didn't like her: then they just wouldn't visit them

"Dad tell Mum to shut up" he said forcefully and then grinned, "and Mum, I forgot I can tell you myself now too! Stop being so bitchy towards Delilah - we love each other and if you don't like that then I don't care really!"

Gavin smiled and slipped his arm from around his lover's waist and took her hand, squeezing it gently and promised with his eyes to make it up to her later and thanked her for being so tolerant. His mother was a lot to handle most of the time

"I'm sorry sweetheart," his dad chirped in. He bent his head to whisper to Delilah, "you've got to excuse my wife. Don't worry, I'll get her good and drunk by the end of the reception so she won't know what she's doing!" he teased

Delilah grinned and leaned against Gavin. She smiled warmly at his father. "Thanks," she whispered, "today's been pretty much Ultimate Stress Day."

She glanced over at Mrs. Ruppetts, a bit nervous. People like her always made Delilah uncomfortable. Delilah wasn't scared of much, but what little that actually did, she tried her best to keep it hidden. She and my folks aren't going to get along well. This will not go well, I don't think, she thought, biting her lip a little. Ack, quit with the lip biting. It'll just make my lips all sore and puffy. Gross.

"The sooner we get to the ceremony site, the better," she said. "My mom is probably freaking, thinking we got into an accident or something."

30th Dec 2007, 8:26 PM
Gavin smiled and squeezed Delilah's hand as they got back to the car and he opened the backdoors for his parents, placing their suitcases carefully in the trunk and then got into the drivers seat. She was right: today so far had been very stressful, making him wander what was coming next

"Aww no don't be stressed" he whispered to Delilah, stroking her palm in an attempt to calm her, "today is supposed to be the happiest day of your life! And then tonight..." he teased, winking at her, "lets just say I consummate marriages very well if I do say so myself!" he grinned

Gavin looked away as his parents got into the car and he started the engine, daring a cheeky grin over at Delilah and blew her a kiss, then back out of the station and started to drive back to the ceremony, hoping everything hadn't fallen apart

DarkPhoenix
30th Dec 2007, 8:55 PM
Delilah was quiet the whole way to the ceremony site. Why bother talking? She was only going to dig herself into a deeper hole with her mother-in-law if she said anything. When she did have to talk, she answered in brief monotones. Her mind was on more important subjects-- the wedding.

When they arrived at the wedding site, her mother hurried out to them. "Dee, your dad has been acting weird," she said, looking worried.

"Weirder than usual?" Delilah asked. Her mother did not look amused. "Did Dad eat or drink anything weird?"

"No..." she said slowly. Then, she paused. "Well, there was a drink left over in one of the dressing areas. We figured it was from you or Gavin when you stopped by. Your dad was coughing and took a good-sized sip from it... but that couldn't..."

Delilah sighed. Dad, why do you have to go and drink stuff you can't identify? Parents spend years teaching their kids not to do stuff like that, and then they go and do it themselves! But her mental sarcasm would not last long. Delilah went into mature mode. Someone had to. "Mom, don't let anyone eat or drink anything that's unsealed, got it? Go run to the store nearby and get a bunch of canned drinks and bottled water. Gav, call the emergency services and have them check my dad out. If he's been poisoned or drugged, we need to know."

Gavin switched into adult mode instantly, dropping Delilah's hand and snatched up his cell phone and hurriedly dialed the emergency services. As he did so, his parents got out of the car, and his mother did not look best pleased

"Hello?"

"Yes, I need an ambulance please. I think someone has been drugged or poisoned"

"Okay right, where are you?"

Gavin hurriedly gave them the address and hung up, dashing back over to Delilah and her parents, her dad did not look in a great condition. He paused and headed into the small changing room where the glass of water stood: half drunk. Picking it up, he raised it to his lips and smelt it. It didn't particularly smell funny, but dare he risk drink it when it could have drugged Delilah's father

DarkPhoenix
30th Dec 2007, 9:15 PM
Delilah plucked the glass out of Gavin's hands. "Don't drink that," she said softly. "They might want to test that too, just in case. Probably along with pretty much everything else around here that might have been consumed. No sense in multiple people getting sick, right? I guess it's karma in action... Dad's sick from something he drank because of the time he got you drunk, causing you to be stuck in the hospital."

She turned to Mr. and Mrs. Ruppetts. "I'm sorry for the chaos, but it seems our usual workplace drama has decided to make its presence at our wedding as well. Dad will most likely be kept in overnight, for testing and such. As you can tell, we weren't planning on having anything overly chaotic occurring, but... well, that's life. The wedding will continue, though. I'm sure Gavin will agree with the decision?"

Cecilia rushed to where the ceremony was, her heels clicking fast against the stone surface. She had learned to run on heels, and she was glad she did. Finally she saw the ceremony and she was glad she did. Figures became clear to her and then she saw two big bodyguards standing at the doors.
"Are they fucking serious." she muttered. "Get out of my way!" she yelled as she just slammed herself through the two men and ran into the room.
"Gavin!" she shouted, breathing heavily as she bend over to regain all her breath.

Gavin nodded and smiled at Delilah, in agreement that the wedding would still go ahead. As she said 'Mr and Mrs Ruppetts' a tingle shot through his body and he grinned, knowing they would soon be that too - well Stanton-Ruppetts but soon he'd be married

He turned his head anxiously as his name was called, and he saw Cecilia pushing her way past two of the bodyguards who had grabbed her by the arms and was holding her

"Oh my god!" Gavin gasped as he ran over to her, "let her go. What the hell are you doing here?" he said angrily

She looked up at Gavin. He looked really angry and she understood. Her make-up was running from her eyes and her hair was messy, just like her dress. It had been raining so that wasn't odd.
"Did you drink... anything?" she asked him breathing heavily and looking worried.
Chris had done something really bad, and people would probably blame her. But right now she didn't care, as long as he hadn't drank from anything in that building.

She thought to herself Geeze I knew she was totally completely in love with Gavin but crashing weddings was even beneath her. Amber had been sitting in the second row behind Gavin and Delilah's parents, amusing herself by pulling faces at Gavin's behind their backs. Her brother just turned his head and snickered, pretending not to see anything.

However, as soon as Cecilia charged in, she jumped up and ran to stand in front of Delilah, Alexander hot on her heels.

"What the hell did you do Cecilia" she said, while her brother stepped in front of her. Although that was admittedly more for Cecilia's protection than hers.

Gavin looked over at Delilah and raised his eyebrows, confirming their worry that her dad had drunk something he shouldn't have drunk. But what did Cecilia know about it? Oh my god, she had been planning on trying to kill him or something - had been trying to drug him before the wedding

"What are you talking about C?" he asked frustrated, "no I haven't drunk anything!"

Just then, Amber and Xander ran up to them in a fury, all turning on Cecilia, screaming at her. Gavin took two steps back and put his hand in Delilah's and pulled her closer to him, affirming that they were going to get married today - even if it was only in a registry office

"Cecilia either go home or sit at the back" he said, not wanting the hassle of forcing her to leave, "and just shut up!"

With a scowl, Gavin walked away into the small changing rooms, pulling Delilah with him as he did. He groaned and sighed heavily, putting his arms around her and rested his head on hers

"What are we going to do?" he asked sadly, "my mum hates you; your dad has been drugged; and now Cecilia is trying to ruin everything - we're still getting married right?"

Anne_SC

They blamed her, yes. They still thought bad of her. Like she would kill someone to have him, yes she loved him, alot. But she wouldn't kill anybody. Why would killing someone help? She shook her head.
"I didn't do... any-" but then she stopped. They wouldn't believe her.
"You know what, nevermind. If you think I would fucking kill someone for this. Then you can fuck off! And YOU!" she said as she pointed at Gavin. "How can you think I'd do something like that. You're not my friend, Gavin. If you were my friend you wouldn't act like this. I'm not even going to tell you who did what, and what's going on. Just let the food and drinks poison you all!" she snapped as she got up.
A tear running down her face. What did she deserve this all for? Trying to save them, and they just rejected her. Like they always did.
They could say she was over-reacting, but she wasn't. Ever since the new people came to QC she had been hated by everyone. Witout a reason. She was 'the devil' and 'the witch'. The fact that she loved Gavin only made it worse. When they tortured her in that building, being rude and never doing anything she asked, she fired Delilah. And then they got a lawyer on it. A fucking lawyer. So Delilah couldn't be fired. Like it was because she didn't want Delilah and Gavin to work in the same building.
It wasn't. She just couldn't stand the rudeness and the fact of employees doing nothing. And all the way, Gavin told her he was her friend. While there weren't any signs of a friend in there.

Delilah sighed and leaned against Gavin. "Even if we have to drag the most important people in our lives to a JoP, we're getting married, darling," she replied. "Nothing is going to stop this wedding, right? Besides, given the circumstances, I think Dad would understand why we didn't wait for him to get out."

Gently, she squeezed Gavin's hands. "Why is it that even our wedding day has to be full of drama? I was hoping for a nice, quiet day with the people who matter most to us. Am I a bad person for wanting that?" She bowed her head, upset. "Does someone up there just not want us to be together? Are we such bad people that we don't deserve to be happy?"

She took a deep breath and then looked up at Gavin. "Let's go tell the others of our decision, hm?"

"You're not a bad person" he whispered to her, "you're fantastic"

Smiling, they left the room and walked back over to Amber and Xander who were still glaring at Cecilia. She herself looked very angry and he couldn't understand why - she crashed his wedding and expected a thank you? He sighed, but chose to ignore his nagging feelings

"The wedding will still go ahead" he said with a grin, "Delilah go and get changed as quickly as you can. I'll get changed into my suit and head to the head of the archway where the priest should be waiting. It's go time guys!" he grinned

Delilah nodded. No sense in wasting any more time. She hurried into her dress, tugging it on and smoothing her hair back into place. She reapplied her makeup, and, after a quick glance in the mirror to make sure she looked okay, she hurried back to Gavin, to help him with his tie.

"You look good," she whispered, kissing his cheek. "Still want to marry me, after all this craziness? I swear, sometimes I wonder if we're cursed." Delilah shrugged and rolled her eyes, and then she hurried into place.

Her mom grinned at her. "Your dad's not here to give you away, so I'll do it," she whispered. "And if your in-laws have a problem with that, tough. You're as much mine as you are your dad's." Delilah laughed a little. "You look beautiful, sweetie," her mom added. "I hope the rest of today goes well for you."

"You know" she said, turning to him "I wouldn't be surprised if Cecilia did do something. I mean, she clearly doesn't care what happens to people. Last night she was sloshed out of her mind and she's pregnant! If she doesn't care about her own kids, there's no way she'd care about anyway else".

Alexander grimaced, nodding his head in agreement. "You could be right, why don't we go check on Delilah and Gavin, makes sure things are ok". Amber nodded and excused herself to Chinsa, who had come over to sit next to them. Then she went off with Alexander to find her friends.

It would be just our luck to have someone keel over dead at our wedding, she thought, in a moment of dark humor. She handed her mother her bouquet and smoothed her hair down for the millionth time. Christ, I'm nervous, she thought. She smiled over at Gavin. Soon. Soon, she thought. Soon, we'll be married.

She frowned a little. "Everyone's okay? Is Cecilia causing problems? Someone drunk?" Calm down, Dee, she told herself. It's not healthy to worry so much. Everything will be fine. Really.

Gavin smiled as Delilah ran into his room in her wedding dress, almost gaping at the site of her in it. She was phenomenly beautiful and he had a hard time controlling himself, wanting to rip her clothes off and kiss her silly, but he didn't. Instead, he smiled bashfully as she helped him with his tie.

"Hey I thought the groom wasn't supposed to see the bride in the wedding dress before the wedding" he teased, "now get back into your room and stop ruining the surprise for everyone!"

Grinning, Gavin patted her on the backside and left the changing room, throwing his white suit jacket on and smartened himself up as he hurried to the front archway. Soon they would be married, and everything would be perfect. He quickly took his cell phone from his pocket and, hiding it from everyone else, sent Delilah a text message

"Hey I thought the groom wasn't supposed to see the bride in the wedding dress before the wedding" he teased, "now get back into your room and stop ruining the surprise for everyone!"

Delilah grinned at Gavin. "Well, considering how untraditional we are, I didn't think a little thing like seeing me before the ceremony would be that big a deal to you," she teased, resisting the urge to mess up his hair. "But whatever, right? I mean, you already know what I look like, so you can't claim you didn't know how ugly I was," she quipped.

She watched him leave the room and smiled softly to herself. Mine, she thought. All mine. She giggled a little. I sound like a little kid, protective of her favorite toy, she thought, trying not to laugh. Although Gavin is rather fun to play with...

The vibrating of her small handbag caught her attention. "Hm?" she muttered, opening it up and pulling out her cell phone. She flipped it open and read Gavin's message. She smiled softly to herself and pressed in a response:

I won't forget, darling.
Don't forget the rings!
You look incredible.

Gavin smiled at Delilah's reply and he quickly placed his cell phone back into his pocket, then felt to make sure the ring-box was there. Check: he thought, briefly taking it out and admiring the sparkling gold as he waited. On the inside they were engraved just how he'd wanted them: I'm hers. I'm his, on the two different rings.

Suddenly he looked up as the wedding march started to play and he shivered with anticipation. His wedding was finally here. The few members of the audience stood up and Gavin stood at the front, waiting for his beautiful bride to walk down the aisle and marry him, making him the happiest guy in the world

"Here" he whispered as he passed the ring box to his best friend who was also his best man, "don't lose them" he teased in a whisper, then looked back down the aisle with the happiest grin, waiting for Delilah

"Yes very scandelous" agreed Amber, nodding her head and giggling "My goodness, what's next? Consumating the marriage before you say your vows".

She laughed as Alexander smacked her playfully on the arm and told her to behave. "Seriously though Delilah, everything is going just fine. No one's drunk, no sign of your crazy boss at all" he said, and Amber nodded in agreement.

"Yup" she said "I just wanted to make sure you were ok. Worst thing that's happening is that Chinsa keeps hitting on my brother. Hope her girlfriend doesn't find out".

Delilah grinned at Amber and Xander, glad to have someone there to make her laugh when she worried too much. "You guys look great," she remarked, and then added jokingly, "and all the attention will be on my gorgeous friends instead of on the humble blushing bride." She chuckled and then set her attentions on the veil. She carefully draped it over her head, and then adjusted it.

Does it look okay? she thought. Maybe if I do it another way, or...

She peered at herself from various angles, unsure of whether she looked fine. Eh, Gavin would say I'm beautiful, even if I came in wearing a torn up old sack.

** ooo runs off to get pics of Gav **

Gavin smiled and, on hearing the wedding march begin and the congregation turned to look at the back where Delilah was going to enter. At once the doors swung open and his beautiful bride took her place at the back of the aisle, looking as beautiful as he could ever imagine. He grinned and waited as she started a slow descent down the aisle much to the delight of the audience as several 'wows' and 'omgs' passed around in a hushed whisper

Delilah neared the front and Gavin held out his hand to take hers, pulling her towards him and he squeezed her hand lovingly

"You look incredible" he whispered in her ear as the music stopped and everyone else sat down, "ready to take the plunge?"

Gavin smiled and turned to face the priest: this was it. It was now or never. Soon he would be married to his dream girl...

((And I can't take pictures of Delilah because my danged laptop is still in the repair shop!))

Delilah grinned at Gavin. "Yeah, I'm ready to be stuck with you," she whispered, sneaking in a few goofy faces while no one else could see. Hey, just because it's a wedding doesn't mean I can't still have a little fun, she thought. Eh, better keep the goofing to a minimum, though. I can have all the fun I want later.

The priest spoke on and on about Gavin and Delilah's relationship-- He's talking like he's our best friend, Delilah thought. We could have had Amber or Xander stand up and do the same thing and actually sound truthful.-- when the priest said the words that put Delilah on edge: "If anyone here can show just cause as to why these two should not be wed, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace."

Delilah glanced over at Gavin. Oh God, she thought, in movies, this is where someone runs in and reveals the presence of a still-living wife living in the attic, or some such thing.

Gavin inhaled deeply and stroked the inside of Delilah's palm as the priest began the ceremony, talking about the two of them and in an instant he relived every happy memory they'd shared together. Oh god, he thought as the time came for anyone to run in and ruin everything, but it didn't happen. Smiling, they both let out a sigh of relief and the priest continued

"Do you, Gavin Richard Ruppetts, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

He smiled and squeezed her hand

"I do" he whispered

The priest then turned to Delilah, placing his hand on top of their hands that were held together

"Do you, Delilah Gabrielle Stanton, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Delilah glanced around, as if expecting someone to pop up and yell, "I object!" But luckily, no one did. Thank God for small favors, she thought.

"Do you, Delilah Gabrielle Stanton, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

The moment of truth had come. She took a deep breath. It's time, Dee, she thought. Delilah took another deep breath. "I do," she finally said.

The priest spoke for several more minutes, and Delilah made a mental note to tell any friends getting married to hire someone less talkative. Finally, the priest said, "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Finally, Delilah thought.

Gavin let out another huge sigh of relief when Delilah spoke, the hard part was over and there were no unanswered questions left, no niggling feelings that could draw her away from their commitment. Finally, the priest pronounced them husband and wife, and he smiled

"You may kiss the bride."

With a smile, he was going to make some sort of joke like 'what if I don't want to,' but he chose not to. Instead, he wrapped his arms softly around his new wife and swept her backwards so she was leaning down, then kissed her passionately and softly. Everyone in the audience cheered, and to his delight so did Gavin's mother.

The wedding bells played and with a flourish the newlyweds walked slowly down the aisle arm in arm

Amber and Alexander both stood up and cheered as loudly as the could as Gavin and Delilah walked down the aisle, clapping and whistling like mad. Both were glad that nothing had happened to disrupt the ceremony, although Amber had been fully prepared to put the bodychecking skills she learned playing hockey to good use.

"It'll be your turn next baby sister" said Alexander, poking her in the side "You just wait".

"No way" she said, pulling a face "I'm finishing school first, then we're getting engaged".

"Who's we" he said, looking surprised.

"None of your buisness nosy" she said, stepping out of the pew to follow Gavin and Delilah out "Don't we have a party to go to anyway".

"Fine, but I'm not letting it drop"

"Yes big brother dearest" she said, grabbing his arm and walking out behind the happy couple.

Chinsa scurried into the isle behind Amber and Alexander. She whispered in Alexanders ear "where is the party?" She wanted to stop and take off her shoes she thought to herself "they were cute and nice, for fifteen minutes but now they are causing me excrutiating pain". She kept smiling as she walked out side. Her car was parked by the curb behind the limousine that she assumed was for Delilah and Gavin. She pulled out her bag containing her reception dress, comfortable stilettos and Gavin and Delilahs wedding present. She thought to herself I hope diamond cufflings and a Diamond tennis bracelet isn't to much".
She slipped into the bathroom and changed. When she came out the limousine was gone.

Gavin smiled as their friends and family gathered around him and Delilah, and he put his arm around her shoulder lovingly. Finally! Finally they were husband and wife and they could start their fantastic new life together - it was going to be everything he ever dreamed of and more, he just knew it

Amber and Xander were cheering loudly as they walked down the aisle together, and he grinned at them both cheekily. His parents walked over and embraced their son, his mother still snearing at Delilah a little uncomfortabely but even she had to admit, she did look stunning

"Ready for a party everyone?" Gavin called with a grin as he hounded everyone into the dance room next door where they'd have music and dancing and food for all the guests, and maybe some speeches to follow

Everyone cheered and he smiled happily, turning to the DJ and nodded, immediately Bryan Adams "Everything I Do" began playing, and the DJ announced it was time for the bride and groom to share their first dance as husband and wife

"I love you" Gavin whispered as he swept Delilah into his arms and they slow danced, "to the moon and back forever and ever"

6th Jan 2008, 8:54 PM
Delilah blushed a little. Things were going great. She and Gavin were finally married, her friends were there, and aside from her dad being in the hospital, things were good.

"Shame you didn't let me pick the music," Delilah whispered jokingly, "but I guess you didn't want to risk having to dance to 'Iron Man' or 'Crazy Train.'" She laughed a little at this silliness. "Looks like everything's going good. As long as no one gets plastered or anything, it'll be fine."

She gave Amber and Xander a quick thumbs-up. If Mother-In-Law and Daddy-In-Law don't like it, tough, she thought. My friends are a big part of my life. Not as much so as Gavin, but... eh.

stylequeen_SC
6th Jan 2008, 9:02 PM
Gavin laughed and gently poked Delilah in the stomach from her comment, and then moved his hand onto her back as they danced. Everyone was watching them; presumably thinking they were whispering sweet nothings and not teasing each other about the choice of music

"Hey!" he laughed, "but don't worry, I raided your Ozzy collection too!"

He smiled and looked over at Amber and Xander, grinning like idiots at them and he spun Delilah around quickly and dipped her. He wasn't about to tell her he'd secretly been taking ballroom dance lessons for the past few weeks so he didn't look like a right idiot for their first dance

"Everything is perfect Dee" he smiled, "stop worrying. You look stunning and we're finally married - we did it!"

DarkPhoenix
6th Jan 2008, 9:13 PM
Delilah smiled and kissed Gavin's cheek. "Smart man," she whispered. "You know I don't go in for that sappy junk all that often. Of course, your mom probably won't be too pleased with it. As for my mother, well... she's come to expect that kind of thing from me."

She giggled happily when Gavin dipped her. "You dork," she teased. "This isn't the national ballroom dancing championship. You don't need to impress anyone. Though I must say, I am impressed."

Delilah thought, Man, I hope we can eat soon. I'm hungry, and if I don't get some munchies in my system, I'm just going to feel lousy and pass out. Junk like that. Oh well, I'm sure we'll get to eat soon enough.

"Sweetie," she whispered, "think we can eat after this dance? You wouldn't like me to get sick, right?"

stylequeen_SC
6th Jan 2008, 9:53 PM
Gavin laughed as she called him a dork, and he stuck his tongue out at her playufully, much to the amusement of those watching. The Ruppetts: clearly they never did anything traditionally or properly. But he laughed and spun Delilah around another time

"Oh you!" he chuckled, nuzzling her nose, "always thinking about your stomach!"

Gee, guess its not the time to be loving or anything, he though sourly, but immediately felt angry at himself for thinking so. It was neither the time for getting stroppy for not getting enough attention. He smiled and released Delilah, then took her hand and led her to the head of the table

"You can all sit and eat!" Gavin laughed as he announced, looking over at the eagerly awaiting waitresses as they served the food

"Good enough for the bride?" he asked Delilah teasingly as they sat down next to each other

DarkPhoenix
6th Jan 2008, 10:03 PM
"Well, I'm not just eating for myself, you know," Delilah remarked to Gavin. She grinned. "Shame we're not seahorses-- you'd be the one stuck carrying them. Then you'd understand." She sampled the food. "Very good choices of food, by the way," she added. "I just didn't want to go hungry. Good way to get a nasty headache, you know. That would really put a damper on the festivities and honeymoon, wouldn't it?"

She chuckled and kissed Gavin's cheek. "You know I love you, darling," she said softly, caressing his hand. "Sorry if I was a bit snippy. You've done a great job with the planning."

She waved at Amber and Xander, hoping they were enjoying themselves. Everyone seems to be having a fun time, she thought. Good.

6th Jan 2008, 10:11 PM
Gavin laughed and reached to ruffle Delilah's hair, but decided against it as she simply looked too stunning for words, and he didn't want to be the one to ruin anything about her. He was just left to admire her petite features and the gorgeous big eyes that sparkled now that her glasses were gone. She was gorgeous, and she was his

"Hah you can carry the kids!" he laughed, "as well as potty-training them and teaching them to walk - I'll handle teaching them to dissobey everything their mother says and do everything for their lovely daddy!" he teased

With a grin, Gavin stood up and raised his glass to their friends and family gathered around the table

"Ladies and Gentlemen, no matter how hard I tried, it makes me the happiest man alive to say “on behalf of my wife and I”, wow, that sounds good, that’s worth repeating… on behalf of my wife and I, I would like to thank you all for coming and sharing this special day with us" he laughed and raised his glass again, "To love, to laughter and to Happiness!”

Slytherin-Girl
7th Jan 2008, 12:52 AM
Amber and Alexander both smiled and raised their glasses to join in the toasting. Amber winked over at Delilah and Gavin and stood up.

"I just want to say a few things before everyone's too stuffed with food or too drunk to listen to me. I just want to congratulate my two good friends here on their marriage. I know it hasn't been easy for you, lord knows you've had a lot of roadblocks on the way".

"Roadblocks named Cecilia" muttered Alexander who received a smack on the arm for his comment. "Hush" she hissed "I'm trying to give a nice non psycho mentioning toast."

"Anyway" she said, turning her attention back to everyone "I want to say that Gavin and Delilah are truly lucky to have found each other and that anyone who knows them knows how much they care about one another. I can only hope I'll be lucky enough to find someone special like that someday. So cheers to you guys, and may you have the cutest table dancing baby the world has ever seen".

Gavin smiled and raised his glass to Amber as she gave a small speech, pleased that it could be Delilah's best friend to make the toast. Unfortunately he cringed when she mentioned their expecting baby, argh still need to tell mum about that... He turned pale but kept on smiling, sitting back down in his seat

"Like the food?" he asked Delilah, "I was going to get a guitar shaped wedding cake, but got a pretty traditional one in the end!"

Gavin smirked and leaned closer so he could whisper in her ear

"I know you don't like fruit cake, so I got a chocolate miniature one just for you" he whispered teasingly, planting a swift kiss to her cheek and squeezed her hand under the table. He couldn't believe they were finally married, and was overjoyed that nothing (well, almost nothing) had gone wrong

DarkPhoenix
11th Jan 2008, 8:26 PM
Delilah grinned at Gavin. "Thanks, sweetheart," she whispered, grateful that he'd remembered her strong preference for chocolate instead of fruitcake. "Besides, your mom would have had a cow if you'd have gotten a guitar cake. But for our first anniversary, a guitar cake will be pretty awesome," she continued, winking.

She bit her lip. "You didn't tell your mom about the baby, obviously. She looks like she's about to have a heart attack. Scary. And Mom's grinning like she won the lottery. I think up until now she thought we were kidding about me being pregnant."

Delila chuckled softly. "Well, today has been pretty eventful. I'm so glad we're finally married. Now maybe you'll learn to behave yourself during work," she teased, lightly kissing Gavin's hand. "I will say this, Amber sure is a trip. Table-dancing baby... like we don't have to worry about the baby doing normal baby things, eh?"

stylequeen_SC
11th Jan 2008, 8:36 PM
Gavin chuckled, imagining if they would have changed by the time it came to their first anniversary. Would they make it that far? If it was up to him then they'd make it all the way until they were old and grey, and he prayed it would last forever. Right now, it felt like nothing could stop them

"No I didn't tell mum" he chuckled, looking over at his mother who was glaring at him and talking in a hushed voice to his father, "I have a feeling we won't be visiting them very much babe!" he teased

Chuckling, Gavin placed a hand gently over Delilah's abdomen and stroked it fondly, as if cradling the baby that was growing there. It would definately be a gorgeous baby, and definately would not be sane!

"I doubt the baby will be doing normal things, looking at its parents" he teased, "and grandparents for that matter!"

He leaned across and kissed Delilah gently, just because he could and was received by a joyful cheer from others around the table - mostly from Amber and Xander's side. Gavin smiled and blushed, "so...what's it feel like to be Mrs Stanton Ruppetts?" he asked

DarkPhoenix
11th Jan 2008, 8:41 PM
Delilah squeeze Gavin's hand. "Think you might get kicked out the family?" she asked worriedly. Oh no! What if his parents disinherit him because of me? Oh no! she thought. She forced a smile, pretending she wasn't worried. "As for how it feels to be married... well, it feels pretty much the same as when I was single, only with flashy jewelry and being able to brag about having a totally hot guy in my life for a long time," she joked.

She grinned at Amber and Xander. "At least they seem to be having a good time," she said, nodding in their direction. "And you know if anyone tries anything stupid, those two will be on the wrongdoer in seconds." She fed Gavin a bite of food. "Come on, sweetheart, you need to eat, or you won't have any energy for later," she added, smirking a little. "I'm not going to carry you over the threshold, you know."

stylequeen_SC
11th Jan 2008, 8:53 PM
Gavin chuckled and batted Delilah away playfully, then took a bite from the food she was offering him. He was so full of energy, it was crazy, but he knew it wouldn't last long: it was just the adrenaline that was pumping through him as he was so excited

"Oh you expect to be carried across the threshold!" he giggled, "we'll have to see about that!"

He smiled and stroked her hair fondly, making it slightly messier but smoothed it down again as he didn't want to take away from her beauty. She looked gorgeous, and this was her day, she deserved to be the prettiest woman in the room: in his eyes she was always the prettiest woman in the room

"And no don't worry" Gavin smiled, "I won't get disinherited or anything. My parents are just gunna have to learn to love you: I did, its not that hard" he whispered, feeding her a small amount of food in return

((Hey everyone Chinsa back to throw herself at Alexander))
Chinsa was drinking alot more than usual. She thought to herself "It's a wedding might as well enjoy the good wine that doesn't come in a box". She spotted Alexander sitting by his sister she stood up and made her way over to him and said "Hey,you know what you do at wedding parties? You dance! I like to dance, and I wanna dance with you!" She smiled as she spoke. And extended her arm gracefully toward him.

stylequeen_SC
17th Jan 2008, 6:33 PM
Gavin smiled and pulled Delilah onto the dance floor a little while later, after finishing the meal and listened to a couple more speeches. He was still very anxious for what his parents would say to him about the pregnancy, but he brushed it from his mind as he swept his wife into his arms

"You know..." he started as Ozzy started blaring on the sound system, "I'm really not used to this married thing!" he teased, "wife...I'm your husband...wife!" he grinned

Kissing Delilah lightly on the neck, he turned her around once more and held her close to him so he could whisper into her ear

"Wanna split the party and go home?" Gavin asked cheekily, "avoid all the awkward conversations that'll come: and the definate one my mother will start once she gets us alone together - god I wanna avoid her" he chuckled

DarkPhoenix

Delilah laughed. "Sure, let's leave our own reception. They seem to be having plenty of fun without us," she replied with a shrug. She glanced over at her mother-in-law. "Besides, your mom looks like she's either going to kill me or have a heart attack." Delilah leaned against Gavin. "But if you want to leave, sure. My mom will probably have everyone doing Jello shots and doing the Time Warp in no time. She make for good distraction." She chuckled.

It feels strange to be married, she thought. Wow. Me, married. I bet none of my friends expected me to go for that. Guess they didn't know me all that well, eh?

Delilah grinned and squeezed Gavin's hand. "So, how do you plan on getting out of here without anyone noticing?" She snickered a little. "Are you going to find some magical invisible paint or something?"

Slytherin-Girl
18th Jan 2008, 2:50 AM
"Sorry" said Amber, yanking her brother to his feet "He just promised to dance with me, family first you know". She grinned and dragged her bewildered brother after her onto the dance floor.

"I have the distinct feeling you just saved my life" Alexander said eventually, twirling Amber around in a circle. "Course, Miss every occasion is a runway seems to have a magnet on you. It's like a less psychotic version of Gavin and Cecilia" she said, grinning and sticking her tongue out.

Then a faint beeping noise was heard and she frowned, pulling away and poking through the purse hanging from her shoulder. Alexander steered them off the floor and Amber moved over to the window to get her phone to work. "Simon...is that you" she answered, waving her curious brother off with her free hand.

Chinsa was a little discouraged by Amber dragging her brother away. She thought to herself "he's the first guy I've thrown myself at that didn't want me, it feels strange, I might as well give up he's probably got a law graduate girfriend thats way smarter than me or it's just me maybe Im ugly, no that couldn't be." She continued to drink every achoholic beverage available while pondering why Alexander rejected her. Soon she was out of her mind drunk she slid off the the bar stool and made her way to the bathroom as she entered the stall she passed out and hit her head on the wall blood began to trickle down her back a she muttered a soft "Help Me".

Gavin chuckled and squeezed Delilah's hand, thinking about how to get away from the party. Not that he wasn't enjoying it, he loved having all his friends and family together and they all were having a good time: especially Xander who seemed to be being hit on by that model woman before

"Lets get out of here!" he laughed, "and we'd better save the invisible paint!"

Grinning, Gavin snuck out of the back door of the small party room, listening to the humming of the music in the background, and then squeezed Delilah's hand once more. As they crept towards the parking lot, helping her by holding her dress up

"Can't wait to kiss and hold me then?" Gavin teased her with a wink, "I know I can't take my eyes off you: you looked stunning today babe"
