Door recoloring tutorial?

hello,
I want to recolour some maxis doors...but I have absoloutely no idea where to start. I can't find any tutorials whatsoever either :help:
does anyone know where i can find an easy to follow tutorial??

Doors are recoloured like any other object, there's nothing special about them. I'd use Numenor's generic newbie tutorial: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=102356
