more light from custom lamps

Hello!

I would like to know how to alter custom lamps so they give more light. I have a couple of very nice models which I picked up a long time ago, but they give so little light that they are not really usable.

I've been doing searches, but haven't found anything so far. Is it something I can fix fairly readily in SimPE?
