Does any one know when the sex of the child is determined is it like Sims 2? As far as i can tell it isn't after 6 boys i made a save file prior to my Sim going into labor and kept reloading to attempt to get a different result with no luck.
I even tried to see if maybe the over all population of the town determines the child's sex so i made 3 families full of boys to off set. Yet again all boys from the Sim. So i guess maybe the sex is determined at conception maybe? Just want to hear everyone's thoughts on this thank you.

There's a long thread on MATY on determining gender. It looks like happens a lot sooner than in TS2. There are foods that will influence the outcome, though. (I think apples (or apple pancakes) for boys, watermelon for girls?)

*shrug* I dunno... My sim had two kids, a boy and a girl. They each had 3, and wound up with 4 girls and 2 boys between them. Maybe it's just the randomizer in your game that's throwing "boy cards" ..?

If your pregnant sim is eating apple pancakes for breakfast, the outcome will be boys. 3 or more servings of apples durring pregnancy will skew the outcome towards boys, 3 or more of watermellon twoards girls. Watching the kid's channel on TV or listening to kid's music on the stereo ups the chances for twins or triplets, doing both at the same time significantly raises the chances. Reading the two pregnancy books raises the odds of being able to choose the traits of the baby. The happier the pregancy the better the chances of choosing the traits too.

Oh goodness I remember all the wild speculation peopld did back in TS2 on gender assignment. I am so glad to see that people now look at it more rationally.
One theiry in a guide for TS2 I came across suggested that it was based on the date of conception..... which I proved wring in a few minutes... hehehehee
