In a game that, you must admit, fishing is such a big part of, I'm surprised that I've only found a fishbowl...

So I created a Sim who I want to be a fisher/collector, et cetera, and I'm just wondering. I haven't seen one, but are there any fish tank items other than the little fish bowl?

Also, how many fish can be kept in the bowl? I know you can fit any fish in it, but how many? I wouldn't mind seeing a fish tank like the original from TS1. That thing was the woohoo.

Thanks in advance, guys.

The bowl is it, nothing else, one fish per bowl.

A fish tank would be great - I hate the bowls - not fish friendly!

I always wanted a fish bowl and I'm absolutely loving them. But I'm more than certain we will get aquariums soon.

I think they should take the pool maker and move it above ground, standing on the floor tiles. Then it would be an aquarium maker. A lot of changes would have to be made to it, yes. But besides being able to make your own tanks at home you could use it on a public lot to create a public aquarium which sims could visit like the art gallery.

Yeah, there needs to be an aquarium, cause if you have the fishing lifetime wish that's like what 14 fishbowls around your house? Each of which you have to feed to keep alive.

Yeah, takes up a heckuva lot of space and way too much time...

And no where to put them since we dont have shelves anymore. My kitchen benches and tables get mighty crowded between fish bowls, gems and terraniums.

Cant wait for shelving!

I hate the fish bowls from a personal view. Even if it's just a game, fish bowls are fish killers, and it urks me that a SALMON can be put in a fish bowl. So un-realistic! Then again, I raise and breed pedigreed, show-quality halfmoon bettas as a hobby, so I'm used to pampering my fish more than my fellow humans.. :3

You wanna talk about unrealistic fish, the Puffer fish stayes PUFFED. they don't do that unless they are startled or defensive. otherwise they look like swiming boxes.

Id like to have a buyable aquarium like that big one that came with apartmentlife (I think) or any of the buyable ones that were in sims 2 Although that Aquarium maker is a sweet idea.

I want the bay window/window box shelves to be usable as well...

I have a small question, i built a pond on my lot and there's no fish swimming in it like other ponds so what do I have to do to get fish in it?I tried to put fish in it from my inventory but it won't work.

Need 10 of the type of fish first before you can add them to a pond. So 10 goldfish, catfish, sharks etc.

Haha, it doesn't bother me, even as a fish owner. The oldest retardation in fishistory is the whole "goldfish in a goldfish bowl". Nothing in The Sims 3 would anywhere near frustrate me with realistic expectations.

I would love a real aquarium, too, because I am absolutely fascinated by such things and always have one in my game.

Sharks can fit in the fish bowls too. Not to mention you can fish for sharks...

You have to have 10 of the same kind of fish in your inventory to get the "stock pond" option. Go to the grocery store and buy some then go home and stock your pond. Also, stock in different locations because your supposed to cast your line where the fish are, so if you don't put fish in different places you'll have an empty pond with a clump of fish in one spot.
