Adult sims that look like elders?

So I have this sim couple that I had planned to have two kids, before transitioning from young adult to adult, they had their first child. I came back to the household a few days later, to discover they were elders. But when I looked at their panel, they still had around 16 days till they transitioned from adult to elder. So they are adults sims with the appearance of elders?

Has this happened in anyone's game? Or does anyone have any ideas how to make them appear like adults?

Well this sort of happened to me. As my sim aged she got older looking. Oddly. I've not had it happen to any other sims but like wrinkle around her mouth go MUCH more pronounced among other things.
Sooo maybe they have like signs of aging as we play?
