I made myself and my partner as characters in TS3.
So far, we have 4 children.
Larissa.
Tyson.
Eliza.
Marcus.
My family goal is to have 5 children, but so far I can only handle 4 children.
How many children do you have in the game?

My highest was 7. I had a flirty, hopeless romantic, family orienting, charming, natural cook who wanted to have 5 kids. Well after I pop out the 5, she wants another, so I let her have another, then she wants another, so I left her have another. She wasn't even close to elder when she hit her life goal. And her kids had 4 different daddies, most of which were married to other women...

Most I've had at any one time is six, but that particular family had seven children total. Before that it'd been two at a time.

I have 5 kids at one of my families. First, it came a boy. Right after that, I got twin girls (that was a mess when they were all toddlers), then, I got twin girls again!

0 born in game.
Not many from CAS.
I've played a few families that had up to three kids already in place, but I have not yet had my Simmies make a wee one of their own.
My Sims and I just aren't ready to make such a big step yet.

I have a rule with my sims. 2 kids/2 'try for babies'. Whichever gets hit first. I kinda wanna try having a house with lots of kids, but I think I would die a little on the inside. I couldn't handle raising 3 toddlers at once, let alone MORE than 3. *twitches*

My first generation family has three kids, and the parents' own lives are essentially over (not too unlike real life ;)). Both parents are elders now (the kids are all teens) and may very well die without getting to fulfill their LTWs.

I have 3. One adopted girl and 2 twin boys. The boys were born evil because I just randomized it ones an evil genius and the other an evil heavy sleeper. After I day I grew tired of having to deal with the two additional babies and decided it was best to have both parents get out of the house everyday for a little bit, but I didn't want to hire a babysitter. So I found a girl in the neighborhood and asked her to move in. Now she stays at home and tends to the kids all day while Thomas and his wife are free to do whatever they please. The poor girl has it rough though she stinks, wets herself, breaks things and randomly collapses only to have the babies wake her up. Both the evil twins are always fiendishly delighted from watching her suffer though. My wife wants to have a baby but I'm being nice until they grow up a little since with this poor girl's luck and the fact we have the fertility treatment reward, we'll probably have twins or worst.

I've got three!
I've only played one sim family so far -- I'm nervous to bring another one into the mix after hearing about the atrocities of story progression, lol.
My family has had one girl and two boys, named Erin, Teddy, and Felix, respectively.
For each one I've gotten to pick all of the traits so far, which is nice, but sort of not-nice as well. I like randomness and sometimes I like to see what the game picks as fate for my characters. :)

I had four kids plus one daughter who lived with her mother. Now those four kids have grown up and are the owners of the house. One of them have gotten married and are now awaiting one more. Third generation soon there. Already got two teleportation pads, a five star chef, and a world class fotballer.

My first sim family adopted a girl, Zeronia. I wonder why Zero won't impregnate Scion in TS3 when it comes to him having a baby with her. It would be nice to have Zero's face on the baby boy when it pops out. But why won't he have a baby with her?
BTW, Zero is named after a blond reploid from MegaMan X.

My first gen had 2 kids but one spawned baby came with the dad. Second gen had 4 because somehow I thought that would be fun. Trying to manage 4 toddlers, 2 adults and 2 elders.....from now on no more than 2 kids. I'm even thinking of kicking the elders out of the legacy house seeing as they take forever to die off.

I'm doing the Children as Minions challenge so now i have like 5 children in the house, all with diffrent dads and with really evil names such as:
Girls-
Twins-
Adriana
Adrienne
Boys-
Adrian
Blade
Braeden
By the way all the names have something to do with evil such as the girls' names both mean dark one

My CAS couple had two children. After the couple died, I sent the son out into the wild world of Story Progression and continued to play the daughter, who married and had one son.
Overpopulation is a huge problem for me playing TS2, but I find the TS3 babies so boring and the toddlers so scary-looking that I think my TS3 families will always be small. (I find it kind of ironic, since one of the things that made the simultaneously aging neighborhood so appealing to me was that I would no longer have to rotate among all the offspring's households.)

My sim Geogia had 6 kids with her husband Phil
She had a boy-Anthony
Then twin boys-Adam and Andrew
Then MORE twin boys-Ari and Alex
Then I discovered that fruit influences the gender and she finally had a girl-Angela.
Now Angela is married to a guy I made named Nick and is only planning on having one child that I plan on leaving to chance on the gender.

Six -- now in the Third Generation. My sims (Melinda Kaye and Billy Pilgrim) started with a boy, Alistor. Then they had triplet girls: Botan, Czeska, and Drajiiya. Almost immediately after they turned into toddlers, I accidentally wound up Trying For Baby and ended up with twin boys: Enaiyo an Fortaeo. They're not having anymore children in this generation. :) (but once I choose one of the kids to be the heir, I'll just start over again.)
Yeah, I mainly play it with so many kids for the chance to make (or dig) up unique names.

My first family has six. (I never had a family with more than 3 in TS2). She has a single birth, then twins, then another single birth, and another set of twins. Whew! When the first twins grew from toddlers to children, I got the message "due to _____'s difficult upbringing, you can not chose a trait." So the game assigned both the girls to have the insane trait. The whole house is chaos but the mom is super happy about all of the kids and both parents keep wishing for more chidren!

I'm currently only playing with one family right now, and they have 4 as of now--she's pregnant again, so we'll see if she pops out twins or triplets.
For her current gaggle of kids (all boys!) I have a teen (Jonas) a child (David) and twin toddlers (Anthony and William).
My sim-self is their mom and she has a life goal of raising 5 children from toddler to teens, and she's well on her way to achieving that goal. She had her first two children at the tender age of Young Adult with her husband who wants to be a spy. ;)

My family has four children. I have aging off most of the time so the mom wouldn't become an elder until they're teens, so they have been all infants and toddlers, and children at the same time. Hectic! lol

You are limited to 8 at the moment but I guess that will soon change
In my game I decided to do the 10 girlfriend challenge. So I ended up with 2 kids with my boss :D 2 with my neighbour over the road. 2 with my next door neighbour. 1 with a one night stand :p 1 (upto yet) with the girl I will probably marry and 1 with her best friend :help:
The 2 with my boss I may move in...should bring some money witth them as she is classed as rich.

My current legacy family has 3 children, with no plans for more(though the father is young, his wife was already "adult" when he married her, and will age into elder soon). I tried to time it so that I would have, at most, 2 toddlers at the same time. It was pretty easy. I think anywhere from 2-4 children is probably doable for a family, though I do prefer to play with time set to "long".

So far only four kids. My original starting houshold had one girl. She's now an adult and she and her husband have one teen boy, and they just got a girl who's still a baby. The husband also knocked up one of his neighbors, and she got a boy.

I've had 5 so far. The Wainwrights had twins and moved Blair back in before they passed on. Blair is now an adult (closing in on elderhood... ahh...) and the twins are young adults. Each has a child of their own (two are children [boys], one's a toddler [girl]). It makes for a pretty busy household, especially seeing as they still live in their parent's old house and have two bedrooms total....

In the families I have played at some length, there are a total of eight children whose births I have witnessed. Among the eight children, there are two sets of twins, three girls, five boys, and one ghost baby.
Four of those kids (and all three girls) are my self-Sim's children, but her husband needs one more in order to fulfill his Lifetime Wish.

I've only had four kids so far. I've killed off two of them because they looked like roadkill and therefore had no potential to start a legacy. :D
My main Sim Scarlett has the Dislikes Children trait (erm, somewhat like me in real life ;)) so I really have no desire to have a big family. Plus, she just had those kids with random townies so it's kind of hard to take care of them. Scarlett's daughter spawned a baby of her own while I was playing another household so I'm set with kids for a while.

The first sim guy I made had one kid, although he did move in his lover and her kid who were also self made sims. The mother drowned after the baby was born. Then created another sim, a female who has become pretty good musically and artistically and adopted two daughters. I've now married her oldest daughter with my first sims son and they've just had a little son of their own. So really, only two babies all in so far, but hopefully more will come ;)

Two girls. The oldest just turned toddler and her baby sister was born later that night. I'm not sure if they'll have more. I'll see what they wish for. Both parents are Family-Oriented.
I had the Mom eat watermelon for the 1st kid, but for the 2nd I decided to let the game decide.

I have a sim male who has fathered 15 children; four boys and eleven girls. Three of the births were twins. He keeps up good relationships with his third son and first daughter. I don't think he plans to stop having kids; though it may be hard to find a suitable mate when the town fills up with his offspring

Unfortunately, I lost one of the twins--William I think--to a pool-accident, and then I lost this whole family to a reinstall. Now, my main sim family has two children--a boy child and a girl toddler. I might make the couple have one more, but I don't ever want to go about raising 5+ kids again!
I'm going to be moving in a second family into a new game that will have two teens and a child, but they'll just be used for story-making. ;)

Had only one kid born to one of my sims. Tried to age it up with the cake recently but it didn't work, I think there might be some hack conflict. And I found in another household a baby donated by the game to the father who was a heartbreaker. I'm not really into Sim kids but I do like the toddler stage.

I have yet to really play any age group other than YA and Adult, I do have a house I'm messing with that has a teen but have yet to really dig into that.
All other groups are yet to be touched by me.
Which is ironic because in TS2 I had a vampire semi-self Sim who I wished to have so many children with each and every viable townee/Sim he could and just take over with one family ruling supreme.

I wanted to see how many I could handle at a time. I had five babies all born in game, and I was using every cheat in the book! Hahaha.
Typically my Sims will have one child at a time, sometimes two. If two, they're spaced very far apart, especially since TS3 makes it IMPOSSIBLE for my pregnant Sim to work and gives me a ridiculous amount of maternity leave. My Sims are always career-oriented god dammit! Lol.

5 my male Sims LTW is Raise 5 from Baby to Adult
Eldest- Joseph
Twin Boys - Theo and Peter
Twin Girls Andrea and Carrie
The two sets of twins were born within two Sim days of each other so they aged to child at pretty much the same time. For about 3 days I had 5 toddlers at various stages of development and my female Sim Harriet (ambitious, family oriented, charismatic, artistic, flirty) was going Stir Crazy and had a negative moodlet from not advancing at work. Luckily the night before all the kids aged up was her and my male Sim Derrick's fifth (well sort of as much as it can be) anniversary so they hired a babysitter and went out to dinner- no more bad moodlets. Now all five are kids- other than helping them with homework, not much more work to be done- no more potty training, teaching to walk and talk or reading children's books Thank God

10. So much crying....The husband had the LTW for 5 kids...I went one over because of their fertility treatments...and then I just got bored...1 single boy, triplets of boys,3 sets of twin girls. Once the boys moved out,I got the wife pregnant for the hella it because I thought I'd be playing the boys...I didn't like any for my heirs, so back to the house and everytime some grew into a YA,she'd get pregnant in the hopes I'd like one of them for a heir...Needles to say she's got 1 more promotion until her LTW is fulfilled and she's been pregnant for most of her life sooo....

Has anyone else had children that were living in another household (not active household) die? I've had 3 die as babies, 2 die as toddlers, and even a teen die, at least I think so as they are shaded in grey. But I can't find them in the graveyard or the manage the dead action. Yeah I tried to populate the town as many of the town people weren't doing it themselves and the town was devoid of children.
I wish I knew what happened to them, the people who lived with them act as if nothing has happened, perhaps because they never were friends with them and neglected them. Has anyone ever seen a baby/toddler die while visiting? I thought that needs would be reset after a certain point with non-player controlled households so how did all these kids die?

Hope you find this as funny as I did, but I had a evil Rock Star sim who was true to the old rock star image. He had it going on with every sim female he met, married or not, and ended up having 72 children!! Obviously all of them were born to their mothers at the mothers' own homes respectively. On his behalf, he did visit each after they were born at least once (to fulfill the wish to pick up, hold, or tickle each child). He was eating lifefruit to prolong his life and suddenly I realized he had children who were becoming elders and he was still an adult. Besides he ran out of females he wasn't related to, so I let him become an elder and die off and created a new sim who wasn't related. This sim now has a family with a son and a daughter.

I got six Children in mine. My first was a boy, Paolo
My second was a boy, Brain
My third was a girl, Rachael
My fourth was a girl, Summer
then twin girls, Abby and Lisa
I am currently trying to have at least two more but it is no longer giving me the option at all to try for a baby, lol.
Raising the kids does take a lot of time but I got far enough along in the cook career that currently I am only working three days a week for 5 hours of those three days and make a bit over $1,000 a day so it is not as tough anymore.

lol...a child named Brain? He had better be a World Renowned Surgeon when he grows up. You should move out the ones the Young Adults (if any of them are)to free some space. That should bring back the 'Try for Baby' option.

Yeah I noticed the max sims in a house is eight, I attempted to adobt one and thats what it said anyways.
When I started the game I set the life span as epic, lol. So my oldest son has like I think 45 more days until he is a young adult and the others all follow a few days to a few weeks after that then I don't think I'll have any more kids, likely move into a smaller house then start getting those kids married and having kids.

Well, I have had 8 born so far, and I'm currently playing my third generation. My first wonderful super fun experience with infants was triplet girls, which got really uncool really quickly. Then I adopted 2, as the sim was too old to have any more. Her first born triplet had 4 of her own 3 boys and a girl to 3 different husbands, and I'm currently playing her oldest son, who so far has no kids.

The largest family I have had six offspring of varying ages. The parents are pretty awful though, and the kids basically raised themselves and each other. Since the eldest two are young adults now, they took their younger siblings and split! Better all around for everyone. ;)
At the moment in my town, I have 28 sims who are teens or younger.

I've tried both large and small families and found I prefer smaller ones. No more than 3 kids. I just found it more fun to really focus on each sim and follow their lives. With too many kids it just gets too confusing and hard to keep up with them all.
My current legacy has had 2 kids each gen, but I'm going for 3 for the 4th generation now that they're rich :P

Right now, my Monsoon family has 9 kids....almost all of them have grown to adulthood and moved out to start families of their own. I only have 3 left at home now...
I start my sim's family when they are young adults...that way I have plenty of time to have 9 kids, but only have one baby or toddler at a time. It makes it easy to have a big family!

"I" don't have children in the game. My Sims, however, do. Currently they have two and are working on two more. I also have no school because it's a whole ton more interesting not to have one, so instead of the kids wasting away their time doing nothing in school, they are out earning the family fortunes with their mad rock hounding and fishing skills.

3 is about my limit. I've not been able to get much play-time in on sims 3 as yet (due to a lot of computer borkage) therefore I've not really been able to see a family through to the end. Hopefully, now I'm running off Windows 7 and not Vista, I'll have more luck!

For me those x hours they are away, is like a mini holiday. I love having the house kid free even if it is just for a short while, and consentrate on my housewife's dayly dueties.

None yet. I don't know if I want any kids IRL but I plan to give us a few in-game eventually XD Most of my other (played) families have had/raised at least one kid.
gta3champion, that is both hilarious and terrifying, lmao. *reading over thread*

My legacy family has 4. Two are YA now and the other two are teens. The rest of my Sims don't have kids since I'm childfree and I make them a reflection of me.

My current family has four. Twin girls, children, days away from their birthday, and twin girls, newborns. They were going to try for number five, hopefully a boy, but then the husband caught fire. I don't want ghost babies, I try not to let the supernatural leak into the game too much, and I don't have the heart to remarry the mother. I don't know how my now single mother will take care of all those tots, though. She may have to quit her job. =(

No kids at all. I am more interested in finishing the World Adventure quests with my main Sim right now. I started playing Sims3 later than most, so I am still in the learning stages :)

I was playing with the Jones and they have five children. The twins are already children and the triplets just became todllers. It's hell in this house so I switched to the Newbies and now I'm planning to give a little brother to Bob.
Because I focuse on one family at a time I usually don't have more tha two or three children in my hose.

One of my families has 8 kids and a ninth on the way (gotta love risky woohoo and more sims on the lot mods). Plus the two parents. It's a fairly packed household.

Mmmmh... I made many versions of my self sim, but I still have to play with her, so no kids, at the moment.
Anyway, my record with in game born children was five, I think. The couple originally had only two children (a teen and a kid), then I got a triplet. It was terrifying to follow :wtf:

My family has 6 children. and they want more! also: all the kids are from sets of twins! (so thats three sets) and I didnt even use cheats to get three sets of twins. O_o
they have 2 girls and 4 boys.
4 of them are teens, and the youngest are still kids. ill move out the eldest when they become young adults, and the parents can have more kids! :P (ive been aging the kids prematurely) :P

My current stats are 17 houeholds.

- One family with a toddler boy
- One family with a child girl
- One house hold that's still in the simbin waiting to be relocated has twin toddler girls
- Another household in the sim bin consists of a YA woman and her baby.

Once I played in a household with a man and he had kids with most of the women in the town(and most of them had twins). So ... there must have been many children (over 15, because that's how many they were when I stopped counting because I god borred of checking the family tree every time I heard o gossip in the town that "X just gave birth to twins!"), but my sim barely knew some of them and in my lot there was no kid.So it was easy and too simple.
Now I'm playing in a different household and I have two adults that had 6 children. It was a little complicated to raise them (because the man was always at work and the woman had to see about all the kids by her own), but it was interesting. Now, one of their boys married a woman from the town, who already had 5 kids (but when they married and she moved with my sim, she left her 5 children with her brother). After that, they had another 6 children (but the computer controls them, because they're not living with me).
I like having lots of kids in the families I play. :P

I made a typo when entering how many babies I wanted. I ONLY WANTED FIFTEEN.

I've been playing as your typical male pig......rock star, single, big house, 6 cars.....$9,000,000 in the bank......and, thanks to a few cheats.....have slept with and impregnated almost every female in town! 43 kids so far, 3 females pregnant and don't pay a cent in child support..........pretty pathetic, huh? :faceslap:

Before the game imploded I once had a couple that had three sets of Triplets all girls, and then a set of twin boys. They were both family oriented and had fertility treatments so yeah....

Okay. So, I made a Sim in CAS. Alexandre Stephens. Alexandre married Jamie. They had four children right before Jamie turned into Elder. Their names are Palm, Willow, Ash, and Cherry. Palm married Noelle, and had 2 children, Matt and Vasyl. (lol I didn't choose Vasyl's name..) When they moved out of the house, Noelle was pregnant with Vasyl, so I didn't get to choose a name for him ;). Then, I decided Cherry would be heir, so I had her go out and find a hubby. She found Blaine, and they had 2 children, Mary Kate and Audrey. Then, Ash married Penny and since Penny was 1 day from Elder, they decided to adopt a child, Savannah. They moved out aswell. Willow was still looking for a husband. Finally, she found Dante. They married and had a daughter named Maeghan. So at the moment, Matt and Vasyl are YA, Mary Kate and Savannah are teens, Audrey is a child, and Maeghan is a toddler. Willow & Dante and Cherry & Blaine are still living in the original house with their children. Alexandre and Jamie both died of old age, Jamie first by about 10-15 days. Palm and Ash are Elders, and Cherry and Willow are Adults. :))

I started off with a couple who were young adults and two children, Rose and Chase. Chase & Rose are both young adults, Chase has no relationship, Yet Rose is married with 2 twin girls :) On this save, I have had 4 children, but in the active house-hold now, I have twins ( double the trouble)

Currently I have 2 kids, 3 teens and one pregnancy. All of these kids are generation 2.
In total generation two was 6 births + 2 townie kids who became playable when their townie mother moved in.
