You may or may not have already known this but today i learned that The Sims 3 was NOT created by the Maxis division of EA. The Sims 3 was actually created by EA Black Box. Which may explain the sims differences in things like in CAS with the facial features being different and such. I just thought i would share this for those of you who didnt know.

I learned something today too.

I learned that if you decide to leave your sim fishing with static motives on and play it in the backgound.... to make sure you have the 'no bills' mod installed. :anime:

As i was starting to suspect, there are the guys who ruined the NFS Saga forever behind that crap. NFS is now under production by another EA division, which is building up a quite good game. So, i think we'll have to wait TS4 to get the TS3 we were waiting and hoping for.

Or else, just mass firming a propose to a big game developer to create the definitive life-sim, which is quite a fail already to be told.

Maxis was 'sold' to EA during the Sims 2 series. Will Wright wanted to give his full attention to Spore. Possibly earlier than that. But I'm certain that it was during that time.

Maxis has been owned by EA since 1997.

On the contrary my friend, Maxis itself has been under the ownership of EA and they were still the ones producing The Sims 2 series. Now the Sims 3 series will be made by EA Black Box instead of EA Maxis like TS2.


EDIT: The Sims 3 series actually will not be made by Black Box only TS3. Black Box is shutting down and no one currently knows who will make the expansion packs for TS3

Black Box is shutting down

OMG! I was waiting since...Uh...4 years? this moment. And the taste of their closing is...Delicious. The only good game they've never delivered was Skate (And the sequel). But they was an indipendent-operating sector of Black Box, so i'm sure they'll just trasfer'em somewhere other or give 'em a shinin' new name.

There's still time to make that game begin the Enanched But Still Moddable The Sims 2 we ever wanted. They've included huge features whit TS2 EP to cover their initial lack of creativity. I doubt that they can't come out whit something surprising if the damages are done by someone other.

P.S: the moment is truly delicious...As a cold coke. The Coke Of The Victory. Yep! :Pint: (This is more an undefinied black beverage, mabye coffee or triple-malt beer. But, hey, it's my moment! BB is dead! Who cares!)

Well that was a mistake wasn't it! Spore was a steaming pile of turd.

I saw it on Wikipedia that the people who made Fallout are making the TS3 World Builder game therefore meaning that perhaps that will be the company taking over the expansion packs after EA closes.

:lol: I saw it on a bumper sticker and almost died laughing...I'm a dragon nut (hence my D&D and Guild Wars characters, both named Stygia Dragynknight :D ), so when I saw it, it replaced my old signature (If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you).
