can the sims 3 have custom guitar tunes, i'm in the middle of creating slash and i want to be able to have him do his thing with the guitar.

the solo from november rain etc

As far as I know, this is not possible.

This sounds like something that would require a mod, that does not exist yet. I don't believe that MTS has request board anymore, but you can request mods at Sims 3 Tinkers (http://sims3tinkers.com/smf/index.php?board=15.0).

Their guitar music blow. No Metallica, no Oh America, no AC/ DC, and no custom music of any sorts. It would be cool if someone mods it and makes sweet music for the sims. Until then, fingers crossed.

Xunixeon, how exactly do you plan to have someone play Metallica or AC/DC solo on an acoustic guitar?

ANYTHING would be better than the $&%^ there is now. Sounds like some amateur
"just learning" giutar player. Really pathetic music. Especially the concerts.
And, yes, I do play guitar. For 15 years now

Metallica has acoustic versions that, if a mod is made, the sims could play.

Also, for someone who is musically talented, they could play the rift they want in-game, record it and stick it in when/if a mod is made.

People need to request the mod first, in order for someone to make it. :p

QFT, its all that pop crap that is no talent music IMO.

I want Metallica! Megadeth! AC/DC! Slayer! etc.

The complexity of such a mod makes it unlikely one will be made any time soon. I don't see the guitar as that different in TS3 than TS2. And this was -never done- in TS2.

Different songs, different skill levels, etc., and we're sure to get more instruments soon that sims can play together (there was supposed to be a piano in the base game - they took it out). You would need -just- cleanly recorded guitar tracks, played at various skill levels, and in the game's format. Looking at the wiki, I don't see any significant research has been done into the sound files at all.

I think requesting something like this at this stage of the game would be rather premature.
