View Full Version : How old are you?
Gangreless
10th Jul 2009, 07:39 AM
So it's come to my attention that I seem to be the only adult here. I'm sure this can't possibly be true, so I want all of you to post your age here (no lying :))
I'll start, I'm 24.

Okay, I usually don't post my age on sites because I like to stay in the blue. I feel people judge me because of my age and they start to talk to me like I'm some kind of idiot (so you can guess I'm young) But I guess it wouldn't hurt.
I am 16 and will be 17 in October.
I feel that I'm so much older though because my brothers and sisters are in their twenties and I practically developed with them. I'm not being some pretentious kid who wants to be and adult and always hang out with the older crowed, but I feel that people suddenly turn ageist when they learn I'm not some thirty year old. I know I still got some gorw'n but I'll break it to ya now, I'll be just like this in the next two years.

Well, I'm 14 right now, but my birthday is next month. I've always hung out with people who are older than me, but that's not because I'm a "wannabe" of any sorts. It's just that I was put into the schooling system at a younger age than all of my friends, so I'm about two years younger than most.

Don't worry Gangreless, ktbcca is adult, she has a husband (unless she's a poor thirteen year old girl that was sold in Cuba or something >.> <.<) So your not alone ^^. I'll be an adult if that makes ya feel better. I am now 44 with five ex husbands and a twenty year old daughter who is pregnant by her high school boyfriend who does nothing with his life.

 sorry, it's just that every book I read about an adult woman, they always portray women like that (especially the romances) They're always either single mothers or divorced eighty times. You ever read stories like that, it's so annoying

I like Romance books and it looks alluring with a vampire on the front, lol. I love supernatural books.

It didn't even say it was a mature novel.

Sigh. *eyes book*

Date edit
let's slap this page back on topic do you guys want to do your age by chocolate math. Then grab a calculator, or pull it up on your computer, and do this here:
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those wastes of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (More than once but less than 10) can not be the number one 1 or ten 10
2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)
3. Add 5. (For Sunday)
4. Multiply it by 50 I'll wait while you get the Calculator...............
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759....
If you haven't, add 1758.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. (19##)
You should have a three digit number...
|
|
|
|
|
|
The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2004) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

I'm sixteen; I'll be seventeen next March. A lot of people tell me that I'm far too mature to be sixteen (I look older, too), and I feel every part of that sentiment. Sometimes I look at my peers and have to chuckle at what utter children they are. I feel like I've learned everything high school has to offer, and I'm only halfway through- even the AP classes aren't challenging enough for me, and I so can't wait to go to college and load myself down with the hardest classes possible. I've never really been interested by teenager-esque things like texting, Facebook, bumming around the mall, etc... I've still got some growing up to do, but I've been an adult for a long, long time.

The 16th of October I'll turn 14:)
So I'm actually 13,5 if that matters.
About books.. I actually never read, because I can't find any good ones and I'm to busy with other hobbies. (wandclimbing, drawing, computer stuff).
But I love the hp series, they're my favorites (of course) and I also read The Sorceress of the Nightwing, Demon witch and blood moon by Geoffrey Huntington. It's a serie of 4 books. But I waited for a few years but book 4 is still not released. -_-
People who love hp, should also read these books. They're sooooo good:D
I prefer horror/fantasy/mythical books. And I also love Twilight (who doesn't?), but didn't read any books just yet.:)

I'm the awesome age of 17 (and a half). I think the half is very important, cause I'm that much closer to adulthood! ~Why am I excited about that???~ Sometimes I wish I was a young child again. -The 5 year old who was afraid of looking up towards the sky. or the -6 year old who was afraid of a 8 foot tall fireman's pole. (I was obviously scared of hieghts when I was young). I remember thinking that I'd 'never' make it to be 18 in 12th grade, getting ready to graduate. Now this dream has become quite a reality, and to be honest, I'm not scared, like I thought I'd be?
Anyway . . . yeah, I'm 17 . . . (and a half!)

Im angery with my mother for me not wanting me to go to college. I see that between the lines she wants me to take care of her, live with her, and not go to college.(I have problems with my mother) My mother was trying to talk me into going the easy way out by going to a vet-tech school and not to college.*HINT-HINT* She has already got me to get out of a pre-college program that would have looked good on my college application and the reason was 'cause she didnt want me to go to summer school to make up a class that would have been "over rulled" by that progam.

Rabid I didn't think you were so young!
Story of my life; I've been hearing that for years. I'm tall, I don't dress with logos plastered across my chest and/or butt, and dare I say that I conduct myself a bit more maturely than some of my peers, so most people assume that I'm eighteen. I honestly don't mind (I'd rather be treated like an adult than a teenager). The only annoyance is when I go into stores and they ask me if I'm shopping for college and/or try to con me into a opening a charge. However, the look that salespeople get on their faces when I say "I'm not old enough" is priceless ;).

However, the look that salespeople get on their faces when I say "I'm not old enough" is priceless ;).
some people think that im sixteen or seventeen 'cause 1) Im tall and 2) im alittle mature for 14

I get that, but the opposite. I get asked for ID everytime I try and buy alcohol. The shop that I go into numerous times nearly every day with my children denied me a bottle of wine. They evidently think I was 12 when I had my daughter, denied my ID and then said it must be nice to look so young and that it will work in my favour one day in a tone which said "You really aren't over 18 are you?" I always get mistaken for being older. We went down to a wine making region last holidays with some family friends, and I was, at age 14, constantly offered glasses of wine. I also always get charged the adult bus fares unless I show my I.D., and my friends who are 16 always get charged the student rate we have to pay.

I was buying a 'mature' game (it was a CSI game) and my sister have my mothers I.D in her purse, she's 23 but she uses my mother's credit card (with her consent of course) and she needs the I.D because sometimes they ask for it, any who, she has the I.D in her purse and she reach in to grab her, own, I.D and the woman look up at me and smiles to ring the game up. As we leave the store, my sister finds out that she had used my mothers I.D, so the lady must have mistaken me for the adult

Wow. Great mom. Like mother, like daughter, I guess. It's not enough that she screwed up her life, but she's advertising it on this site like it's the most awesomest thing that ever happened in the history of ever. Meanwhile, there are other 12s on this site that could see that and have further validation of their misguided teen pregnancy fantasies. If you're not mature enough to realize you need to WEAR A CONDOM when having sex, you are not mature enough to be making babies.

mmhmm, I've argued (in an actual public debate) both sides of the issue, including all the slippery slopes it could potentially cause, but, in the end, I say we either sterilize them, or barring that, be allowed to shoot them on site. Sometimes the Darwin Awards are given to them too late, and they have been allowed to spawn before that. Then, my world is populated by people who have clearly been created from the shallow side of the gene pool, by two people not smart to realize that it would be a crime against humanity if they were to procreate. Then again, if we kill all the stupid people, how will Republicans ever again hold office? It's an unfortunate side effect, but I'm willing to man up and live with it.
NightmareCandle
16th Jul 2009, 06:58 AM
It'd be nice if we waited for about 6 billion people to die off, then there would be 768,167,712 people in the world, then we wait for 700,000,000 of them to die off, and we start making more babies.
THEN theres an epidemic and 65 million people die off...What does that leave us with?
*consults calculator*
3,167,712. Then we send all the dead bodies up and throw them in Venus and Earth is a whole bunch of pounds lighter!
