I'm trying to bring order to the chaos. This thread will be updated whenever anything is decided.
After reading in every thread, I have made a list of the entire project.

When will we get the Mod Group?
Delphy is in the process of setting it up.
He just needs to link all of our profiles tot he account.

What is our project?
We are making a downtown with lots.

Currently, we are each going to make a store, or other community lot.
We may add more lots later. It has yet to be decided.


Residential Lots?
We may decide to build residential lots.


Multiple Lots?
As of now we are each making 1 (one) lot each.
Once we finish our lots, we may build more, we'll just have to wait and see.


What should my store look like?
The exterior should look like a normal downtown store.
With a sign on the front and maybe a small amount of décor (not too much).
Inside, can be totally insane if you want. ;)


How tall can the lots be?
This hasn’t been discussed, but I’d say no more than two floors (3 with foundations) for normal stores.


What lot size are we using?
You can use 2x2, 2x3, 3x3, 3x4, or 4x4.

Where will my lot be in the neighborhood?
This is currently unknown.
Once all lots are made ZimZ will build the neighborhood.


Can I use CC?
What CC to use
Try to make as much CC as possible (OR have another member make it)
If you use CC not made for this project, please be sure to keep track of who made it, and where it came from. I'll need this info when uploading.

What CC to NOT use
PLEASE try not to use CC that cannot be included with our lots.
More people will download if they don't have to go all over the web downloading things so they can use our Nhood.

If you make CC
If you make any CC, weather it be walls, flooring, a new sign mesh with your shop's logo, or ANYTHING else (except clothing), upload it HERE. (http://my.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=356551)
This way we can all use the same CC throughout the Nhood, and the filesize will be smaller. Why have 10 different sign meshes that are the same size when we can use one? It just makes more sense.

Why make our own CC?
So that there are no conflicts with policies.
We understand that there may be something you need that is made by someone else, and you are allowed to use it if you have to.

Also, the more CC we make ourselves, the higher the chance of being FEATURED!

What if I can’t make CC?
Then find someone on here who can make what you need.
(Or read the tutorials…)


How do I know if my work is good enough for the project?
Post it in your feedback thread!

When do we start?
NOW!!!!! If you are involved in WWW's Secret Ninja project, you can take a break from this to work on your gift if you'd like.


Who is in charge of this thing?
I only bring this up because Raps has Nintendorks, The SMSP, and is helping WWW with the secret project and I highly doubt he wants to be in charge of this.

So who is in charge?
I started this group because Raps didn't want to join at first (and because everyone else was to chicken to PM an admin. :rofl: )

So everyone said that I be in charge of the project.

We all really need to work together.


Sim Movies!
If you want to make a Sim movie with TS2 or TS3 for the theater, please do so! I is making a custom TV channel so the more the merrier!

Chat Room!
GuardStud set up a chat room for instant feedback, help, etc.
It can be found HERE (http://www.chatzy.com/523899847606)

As long as someone visits it almost everyday (cannot be left unattended for 14 days) then it will remain.

Also, anyone could save the chat history by a simple click either in .txt format or .html format. Works on every browser and does not require any additional software to download

If anyone needs the administrator password for some reason, GuardStud will give it to you via PM.

Man, you're major organized! My general approach to leadership is going with the flow and occasionally shooting people if they get too out of hand. :P But that is why I have Raps. (translation: Raps shoots them for me)

But considering you started this, are the one pm-ing HP and and have made up this nifty color-coded document. I vote you're in charge. :D Heck, I'll go make another poll right now! On second thought... no. I'm too lazy and sleepy after last night. :P If you guys don't like this project when Raps and I are done I think I might have to shoot myself.

it can't be 2x2. In SC4, one tile space = a 3x3 lot. and no space = a 1x1.

3x3 is the smallest possible lot.

No, because sims2 is what matters here. And 3x3 + 3x3 is 6x6, which can be devided into 3 2x2s.

The spaces don't have to be perfect. We need space to put neighborhood decorations too.

You just gave me a frikken awesome IDEA!!!! Ok, so we can make our shops and make an apartment on top of the shop. So the shops can be small home businesses and a little room at the back of the shop with stairs going up to the person's apartment!

Hmmm, I don't really have time to do a lot, but i can help on various meshes that seem too difficult for others. I don't know how many others of you can mesh, (i think Elephant can, correct me if i'm wrong) but I'm fairly confidant i'm one of the most experienced here as far as meshing goes. :P i'd prefer to just help with meshes, if that is allowed. :)

I had an idea, not sure if you guys already talked about it or will be interested but what if we would include a picture in every lot. For example, if we recolored a paiting and put our avatar on it and included it on every lot. I think a group photo would be awesome, but someone would have to make all the self sims. I would be willing to do that if everyone gave me there pictures. Let me know what you think!
