So strange. The father has blue eyes. The mother green eyes. Out of six kids, three have blue, two have green, but the youngest one born most recently has grayish/brown eyes. Is this a mixture of the parents eyes (if i remember correctly sims genetics dont do mixtures?) or is this just one of the basic eye colors you can choose when you make a sim? If so, how come the kid got one of those instead of an eyecolor based on the parents? I made the parents, they were NOT born in game, so its not like there are a whole lot of generations that came before them that could have had that eye color.

There's always a chance of random mutations, generally getting random hair or eye colors from the bin. I've seen plenty of these and honestly I like them. I seem to get purple eyes a lot as a mutation.

That seems really cool actually. A bit weird, but I'd like it. Not having a whole neighborhood full of green and blue eyed people.

I've had a child with purple eyes before. The parents were both maxis made with brown and green eyes so they couldn't have picked up genetics from their grandparents.

I had a mutation where both parents had brown hair, and their last kid had blonde! I find this very annoying, because I personally have never met anyone who has random genetics not matching their parents. Maybe EA needs to take biology again and learn their punnet squares...

I know over the years my father has hand every hair color. Red, Blond, Brown, Black. He's naturally changed into each of these hair colors.
I'm pretty sure my grandma had brown hair, and I'd imagine my grandpa (never met him) hair is black based on his heritage.
So yeah, hair that doesn't match parents does happen.
