Heyla and well met!
I had recently downloaded an object called Eric's Sim Effects, which can be found at the following web site (you need to register in order to view the page):
http://www.simscave.com/index.php?topic=7430.0
After playing around with the object, I discovered that the special effects that the object creates only last for a few moments. However, for a series I'm thinking about filming, I need the effects to remain indefinitely, lasting until I decide to manually turn them off. That being said, I have a few questions about modding this object to better suit my purposes:
1. Is it even possible to modify this object so that the effects last indefinitely?
2. What specific tutorials will I need to study in order to make these modifications?
I have actually tried playing around with the object with SimPE on my own, trying to apply some of the information in some of the tutorials I found, here, to this particular object, but I'm afraid my knowledge is simply to little to know exactly what tutorials I need to make the necessary changes to this object. (Yes, I did read the special effects tutorial, but Sim Effects seems much more complicated than what the tutorial covers.)
Anyhow, thank you for your help!
