View Full Version : Why do I have content that I didn't purchase?

It's not clear when it appeared, but some time ago I noticed a new door available to me in build mode. It is the Wildly Western Doors set, and its icon is marked with a green plumbob within a small blue circle. I know I didn't purchase it, and I do not download illegal files nor visit any site that AVG Antivirus 8.5 does not approve of.
Did this object install itself with a lot that I downloaded from here or the Exchange? It was my understanding that we can't use or even see content that we have not purchased yet.

Did you install the second city? I think it comes with that?

Ah, that must be it then. Yes, I downloaded the 90MB(!!!) Riverview some time ago. Thank you very much, I was afraid that it was illegal and might contain a virus.

All of the farm type and western type objects come with Riverview- if you installed Riverview and that is there you are fine

.sim3package files can't contain viruses. Really all this crap about viruses is chapping my hide.
Find me one person that got a virus from a sims3 file and I'll show a pig that can fly.

You know that pigs HAVE flown, yes? It was live on TV a few years back, someone was holding up a sign...

Actually, if interactions are all done with .NET code in Sims 3 (which, as far as I can tell, is how it works), it is theoretically possible to embed a virus in any mod or object with its own custom code.

No :P
The Term "Pigs fly" is about a pig with WINGS, not one flying through the air or anything like that.

It was during those concerts that went out live on TV around the world, three concerts at different places at the same time. IIRC one of them was in London, and I think that it was at this one that the Pink Floyd reunion occurred. Roger Waters (?) joined the others for the first time since the split many years ago.
Quite soon after they started the first song, camera shows the audience and someone is holding a homemade sign. Sign says: Pigs Have Flown
