Can anyone think of some funny, or outrageous things that happened at televised Award shows over the years? Here's a few I know of:
Rupaul and Milton Berle:
Milton: "I used to wear gowns back in my day"
Rupaul: "You went from wearing gowns to wearing diapers"
Milton: "Oh so you wanna ad lib, huh?"
Soy Bomb at the grammys:
This guy went up on stage while Bob Dylan was performing, with "Soy Bomb" written on his chest and danced around, he was on stage just long enough for people to see, until he was taken off by security.
The Streaker at the Academy Awards in the 1970's
A streaker walked across the stage completley nude flashing the peace sign, among other things. The person giving the next award said something like, "that guy came all this way to show his shortcomings" or something to that effect.
Howard Stern showing his ass at MTV awards:
Howard Stern was supposed to be "Fartman" but MTV said that he could not wear the assless chaps costume. He wore it anyways.
Wu Tang Clan interrupting Shawn Colvin's acceptance speech at the grammys:
A disgruntled member of the Wu Tang Clan, got on stage saying what a travesty it was that Wu Tang Clan didn't win the hip hop award, in the middle of Shawn Colvin's acceptance speech. Of course Shawn was very confused.
