Private School Uniform Replacements

I want to make a set of private school uniform replacements, using clothes I downloaded. These are just for my own use, I won't be uploading them.

I tried to find a tutorial, but failed. What do I do?

If they are just for your own use (and assuming they use the same mesh) then you can extract the texture files from the clothes you downloaded and import them on top of someone else's private school defaults. Presto chango done.

If the outfit you what to use uses a different mesh its a lot more complicated and you will likely have to do much more of it the hard way, how well do you know Simpe?

Not very well, I've only used it once, to change a baby's gender. I'm willing to learn though.

You will need to read through some tutorials around the site to get yourself familiar with editing in Simpe, the skills you will need can be learned by making yourself an object recolor. (Make a blue chair red or something similar.) Once you have mastered that ability, come back and I'll be able to explain the rest to you really easily. :)

Okay, I've been meaning to try object recolouring anyway

Edit:, Okay, i've manged to recolour a lamp, without crashing my game or anything. Is there anything else I should do, or am I ready to make my uniform replacements?

I also find a tutorial to do this, can anyone help me? I want to change the school uniform for my victorian neighbourhood. How can I do?
