Weren't all sims supposed to have their own painting styles?
So far all of my sims paint the same.

That's probably what the trait-based filters are.

No, They definitely paint differently. My evil sim has tons of red paintings...

Yeah, but I mean... when you click "Paint still life" or "paint portrait" they all paint the same
for me anyway....
I'm not talking about the ones they just paint randomly... because those are predetermined anyway

I thought that's what we were talking about. How are they predetermined? All my sims paint different random paintings.

They are just images somewhere in the game's data.
Before TS3 came out
They said you could have 5 sims all paint the beach, and they would be different.
So far this is not true in my game.

They all would be different if they each had a different skill level. Maybe that's all they meant?

Yeah that could be what they REALLY meant since EA has a tendency to mislead ..

My Current neurotic Sim certainly makes totaly different paintings then her grandfather.
I've seen her paint several pictures that are the same as what her grandfather used to paint but with a filter aplied. (like the edge enhance filter from PSP)

Painting styles are influenced by traits and moodlets. See sections 6 and 7 in the Complete Painting Guide (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15723.0.html) at MATY.
