Shadow neighborhood?

All I did today was start up my game, grab some Sims from CAS, and attempt to put them in a house. Before I could click on the house, there was a bit of lag, and suddenly the roads and the houses all darkened to this really dark, transparent navy blue color. This has happened before and it somehow fixed itself, but not this time. Restarted the game, took out CC, made sure the cache files were gone, and tested more neighborhoods. Even with all the CC in, the other neighborhoods still worked perfectly. When this happened the last time, the houses were still playable, but in a permanent state of nighttime.

What's going on here?

I think this is going to be difficult to diagnose without a screenshot. Can you post a picture of what this looks like?

Hmm, interesting. When this has happened in the past, was it the same neighbourhood, or a different one?
