View Full Version : Ebony Moon [rejected, please help...]
20th Oct 2009, 4:52 PM
My "other" sim has been rejected twice now. I'm quite sad about it, since I really did think her features looked unique :( Her name's Ebony Moon...the reason for rejection was "needs a little more work".
Here's some pictures of her:
If anyone has tips that might help her get accepted, I'd love to hear them :)
*edit* Here's a picture of what I just did in CAS...changed the colour of her eyes, made her skin a little darker, and changed some facial features. I still have the original version, though.

the nose is a bit long and you might add more of a chin and space betweem the nose and mouth

You've got some strange double-chin issues happening (is your Jaw Shape too close to your Jaw Width slider?), and I agree with speakup that she needs more of a chin.
I'd try rotating her eyes closer to the horizontal as well, because at the moment she's rather cross-eyed, and try either a less saturated or darker shade for her eyes.
EDIT: Looking again, I also think her lipstick is very dark and unnatural. Unless that's the look you're going for, I'd say change the color. I can't tell what you're using, but I like Papercat's Lip Lines (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=357951) for just adding some texture, and this lipstick (http://blog.yam.com/tmnt/article/23425399) from Sim's World as a gloss. (for the second one, look at the example pictures toward the middle of the page to see how the color channels work; it's a bit different than you'd expect)

I'm assuming you guys are giving feedback on my most recent version, the one at the bottom?
Okay, I'll work on it all...I agree her double-chin thing is very weird  I didn't know where to work on it: thanks, supertoast!
I'll make her chin bigger, too :) I have papercat's lip lines ingame, and she's actually wearing the gloss you linked at the bottom picture [I didn't know how those channels worked though...oops :anime: )
I'd like to add the lip lines to it, but as they're both listed under "lipstick", I can't :|
Anyway, I'll work on it all tonight and update later. Thanks guys!

i think her eyes are unrealistically large. dont change the shape or position. just how large they are and see if u like that change

Okay, here's a update...I'll work on her again tomorrow afternoon:
The only way to get rid of her double chin is to soften her jaw...

I think it looks like the reason she has the double chin is that her face is unnaturally short - the lower half of her face is too short for the upper half. Try lowering her jaw and chin a bit and see if that helps! Her nose and mouth are also too close together - I think her nose may be too long, maybe move it up a touch.

nose is way, way too long dear.. try raising it a bit.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't download this.
1. Change the lipgloss. Far too light.
2. Make the lips less wide.
3. Move the nose up. Alot.
4. Change her eye colour. Too light for her skintone.
5. Make her face longer.
Hope this helps!

I think a more angular chin would looks better with this "round" mouth...and like the others say the nose is too long...

Hey:) Don't get discouraged, she is a diamond in the rocks for sure!
on the UPDATED version:
- eyebrows less arched
- bring nose up quite a bit
-rotate eyes slightly down
-I like the mouth , bring it up
-give her more of an angular chin
- bring eye shape slider more left
- make her nose over all more defined
- sim sure she would look great w/ an more square jaw, make the jaw as wide as her cheekbones, you might have to make her jaw a little longer to accommadate this
- make her head slightly wider. the key to a more prominent jaw is using more jaw definition
-lower the yes a bit
-THINGS I LIKE FROM THE ORGINAL:
- face width and length
- I actually like her chin:)
-I love her orginal lips best. especailly with matte lipstick. I would change the color though. look on the internet for lipstick shades that go best with darker skintones
-give slightly more cheeckbones
-bring her nose up a lot! keep the nose though, if you are using this version of the sim
-bring up her mouth a bit too
-give her a different eye color and use different CC defaults
In case you haven't noticed ,the orginal actually needs less changes than the updated version :D!
- I think she is great start :D I know my changes are out of your comfort zone but I think this will aid you in making someone spectactular. all your sims noses are the same, you need some vareity... I expect an update soon missy >=)!

She's off to a great start, with a bit of tweaking you'll have a great sim there!!
The first thing that strikes me is that her nose seems unreal. I'm all for a unique nose and a long one too, but hers is too long. Try bringing it up a bit.
I think maybe her mouth is too far down in to her chin too, giving her an unreal look... she needs a bit more chin... so maybe bring both nose and mouth up a bit?
I love her eyes though :)
