I built an ocean-front lot and everything was fine. Then when I put my sim in it, the entire lot was lower and is now flooded. Can this be fixed? I tried searching and couldn't find anything about it on the web.

Oh, and from the neighborhood view, it looks normal, like it should:

Is this an apartment? If so, this is the issue that EA warns you about.

Here is the solution:

Thank you for the link. I tried the patch and it didn't work, but it interfered with some of my other programs, so I uninstalled apartment life and am now reinstalling it. I have been trying to avoid using SimPE because it is rather confusing for me and upon installing it, the first thing I read about it says that it could possibly mess up my entire system :( Well, I'll give it a shot and see how things go.

Well, I didn't know that just by uninstalling Apartment Life that it would completely delete everything . . . all my downloads, all my houses, neighborhoods, etc. It's just not worth it now. I'll just start over WITHOUT a beach apartment.

If you ever decide to use SimPE, just backup beforehand. Then, if something goes wrong, you can just restore your backup and everything will be fine.

You should also backup your game data before uninstalling, because EA will "conveniently" delete everything for you (as you found out).
