View Full Version : Possible Patch Problem

Since I have just installed the new patch I have received my first ever error message, Error16. I received it whilst saving. So to get around it I had to save as. Plus now I can not place objects on an angle in the corner of the connecting counters. I wanted to upload this house here but I won't until the problem is fixed.

Should I just wait for the EA geniuses to fix this? Or is there another way to fix it? I don't have mods or custom content except a couple of patterns.

Hm. Do other counter corners allow diagonal placement?

I will check that out now. But I am sure those counters did before the patch.

Ok this is what happened when I placed some more counters on that lot:

I copied the lot and placed it somewhere else and this is what happened:

So the patch did something to that lot. Stupid patch. I am going to check out the other lots which I am working on to see if they are affected to. I hope the only family I play which is in another town isn't affected.

I installed the 1.6.6 patch and I get a message that it didn't install completely. The game will not run at all. Looks like a complete reinstall.

And how is that relevant to microwaves not sitting diagonally on counter corners? If you have a different issue, please use a different thread.

So far it was only that lot and that neighbourhood that was affected from the patch. Other houses in the neighborhood are fine and the neighbourhood with the family I play is fine. I have dummy neighborhood which I am going to test the adventures that sims can go on since I have the expansion now. I hear that when they come back the houses disappear so I am going to try it out. Other than that Since I have the world adventures installed after the patch I have no problems so far.

So far so good. No problems. Except a little lag but that is only minor. Need to upgrade my computer graphics card.
