I can't fish after i installed the new patch

Hello,
I Have no mods installed,and i just innstalled the new patch. tho now nothing happens as i try to click a fishing spot. anyone else had the same problem?

What i find strange is that i got 2 sims, and it only happened on 1 of them, and when i tried loading an older save, the problem shifted place. Now the sim that couldent fish could fish, but the one that could, now couldent.

I tried to delete the cashe files as mentioned in the sticky post. But it didnt help.

anyone got any tips? :cry:


Edit: oh and yea, i dont know directly my spec, but my pc is 1 year old, fiished built, so its not old. And my OS is Windows vista

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

Sims 3 - WA/patch 1.6 is crashing/not loading/broken/purple
World Adventures and patch 1.6 are causing some issues - namely lots turning into blue squares and saving triggering an Error 16. If you have some other issue...

Remove all your custom content from Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages.
Most mods will not yet be compatible with patch 1.6 or WA. Until the creator uploads an updated version, any hacks cannot be used with patch 1.6 or WA.



On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.

huh? im confused, can you elaborate? (theres no link to this faq or something either)

BTW: i have no mods installed as i mentioned in my first post.
(And it seems i dont even got a mod folder in my sims 3 folder)
One thing i have in tho is some clothes and such from the EA store thing.

Edit: Ah, and btw: i havent installed world adventures

Well, patch 1.6 is unstable. If you have no custom content then it's probably a case of waiting for EA to fix it. One thing you can try is starting a new town - the new patch doesn't seem to like old saves.

Cus i dont wanna start anew.. cus i played with only my two sims a looong time, (and i love trying to max out all their skills) Wouldent want to not being able to continue with those two.

Im gonna buy the new addon world adventures tomorrow, so im hoping that will fix my fishing issue.

I sincerely doubt it. And you certainly wouldn't be likely to be able to play your old saves with WA.
