Any songs that sound alike? I bought JLS's new album and found one track which I instantly thought was a cover of Chris Brown's "With You" :S

Listen to them & tell me they don't sound the same :/ I was dissapointed with that track cause it's obviously a copy.

Dang, OP, those songs do sound similar! o_O
It reminds me of "Already Gone" and "Halo." Never could tell those two songs apart..

There are times when you can have Smash Mouth and Barenaked Ladies merge seamlessly into one another. Consider the following mashup:
"Chickidy-China, the Chinese Chicken! Have a drumstick and your brain starts ticking but the media man begged to differ, judging by the whole in the satellite picture. The ice we skate, is getting very thin! I cannot help it if you think I'm funny when I'm mad, trying hard not to smile but I feel bad! I'm the kinda guy who laughs at a funeral/ can't understand what I mean, well, assume well! Hey now, you're an All-Star!"/....
On and on. Those two songs use almost the same chords and are unbelievably compatible and even interchangeable.
A group called the Legion of Doom even specializes in creating mashups of songs that are mashup-friendly.

The one that's really started to get under my skin lately is how the recent songs of Nickelback and Theory Of A Deadman sound so much alike as to be indistinguishable. It's so bad that I'm starting to be of the feeling that many folks who claim to hate Nickelback for doing so many songs that sound alike are probably secretly hearing some ToaD in the mix and don't realize it.
