Sims 2 vs. Sims 3

I need help for a decision. What is better to buy all the expansion packs for sims 2 (I only have BV, NL, Celebration stuff pack) OR is it better to just buy sims 3. pleez also explain why you think so. Thanks for helping me.

Sims 2 was more fun. At least it is at this point in time. I played Sims 2 for years. I removed Sims 3 from my disk after a couple of months; it was that disappointing. But I'm sure you'll get disagreements on this.

[ to explain: WA is an EP. expansion packs are intended to be installed AFTER the base game. i have no idea how anyone could NOT figure this out. ]

srry, I bought the double deluxe pack first so the game already came with expansions and then i bought bon voyage so i didn't know.
