Having a problem with an object I made where it is floating above the surface it was placed on. The mesh when viewed in Wings3D is on the axis, and I found that the cTransfromNode of the Practical block had non-zero translation on X, Y and Z, so I made those all zeros thinking that would be the problem, but nothing is any different.

I'm really not an expert mesher at all (prefer BHAV programming) so I don't have enough experience to know where to look next.

I attach the package, the object has been made to show up in Surfaces->Desks ($30 so near the beginning) for the purposes of getting help on it. It's a box of greetings cards in case you're wondering!

Thanks in Advance
Cheers

Hi Mog, I made two changes. One was the shadow mesh, in Milkshape it was way below the "floor". Which is the Y-axis in 3d editor. Normally the shadow sits just a bit above the very bottom of your mesh. When adjusting cres values, at least with objects that shift up/down, the game includes shadows when sizing and deciding how much it moves. The other change was one of the joints had a Z-value of .07, which was above the surface. Did you know Y and Z-axis are swapped between mesh editor and simpe?

Can't say if both were required to change since I did both. Package attached. :) Can't wait to see the rest.

The shadow!! I always forget the shadow is a mesh too! Thank you, thank you!

I hope to upload v. soon, finalising last little bits now.

P.S. Have grabbed the fixed package so if you want to delete it now, that's fine.
