my friend and I downloaded a community lot that is a castle we are wondering if there is a way to make it to where our sims can live in it instead of just going in through build and furnishing it then it being for 'everyone' is there a way?

Also is there a way for us to move all our sims stuff to another drive without hurting the game?

the game is in d drive program files the sims 2 I think it's called

all the stuff we've downloaded (from other sites and now here) is C drive my documents EA games Sims 2 collections, downloads ect (not going to list them all)

and C drive my documents sims 2 double deluxe same file names.

we want to move what's there on C to D drive can we? I know psychically we can we have hands and can move a mouse but I mean is it ok? is it safe?

I'm not sure, but I think Nightlife has the cheat you need for this.
Enter the lot, open the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+c and type in: changelotzoning residential. If you want to change it back to a community lot type: changelotzoning community.
For the new residential lot you'll need a mailbox and a trashcan you can get here (http://daydream.etowns.net/) (go to Sims2/Hacks/Mods).

If you move the EAGames folder from your MyDocuments folder, the game will create a new one with the next start. If you want to use your downloads, neighborhoods and game settings, the folder has to stay where it is.

You can move the entire My Documents folder over, although it can make things interesting with other programs sometimes. Especially since Windows in all its incarnations will expect to find it on the C drive, and often looks there first.
