Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place? I wasn't sure if it was a common topic or maybe more for Seasons since it involves the use of the Season expansion pack.
Okay, I finally got around to starting a new town from scratch. And of course, I decided it HAD to be a frozen waste land type town, silly huh? I just couldn't resist honestly. Of course, I used the small maps for the town, downtown, and university. Don't really bother with the shopping districts that came with OFB.
But now that I've set the maps, I realize I'm more then alittle clueless about how it should look. I know some of the small communities usually are single story buildings, and alot of singlewide and double wide mobile homes. But other then that, what else? Obviously, the university will be interesting enough, lol.
I guess I'm just wondering, has anyone else created such a town? Anyone know of some good pics of such small towns? And honestly, is it wrong of me to subject sims to such a frigid climate???
Pretty much, I guess I'm just lookin for some feedback, opinions, and some recommendations.

If I were you, I'd look up some Alaskan towns in Google Images.
Also check out Plasicbox's (http://www.modthesims.info/member.php?u=178282) complete neighborhoods to get some ideas.

Guess I should have mentioned, I did google alaskan homes, and seems all you get are images of homes from the larger well known towns, not the far out of the way villages and such. I even tried google earth, and of course, you only get a top view, ugh.
But I think I will check out some of the complete neighborhoods, thanks for the link.
